Chapter 2: Phantom Trouble

Erika stood in her room after everything was unpacked. She put her suitcases in the closet and now just stood in the middle of the large room that she found ridiculous. Seriously, who needs an 8 foot squared bedroom? A waste of space if you asked her.

She then looked at her hand as if it was something new. Biting her bottom lip, she pointed her arm toward her phone which sat on her bed, then she twisted her hand. All of a sudden, bright blue and purple streaks flowed along her arm from her wrist to her finger tips and her phone lifted into the air as if the gravity around it was gone, covered in the same blue and purple ribbons of color.

There was a knock on her door and she dropped her hand, restoring the gravity back to her phone. Then she called, "Come in."

The door opened and the white hair and blue eyed face of Vlad Masters peered in.

"Did you finish unpacking?" he asked.

Erika crossed her arms, and raised her eyes brows, going to her rebellious-teen-mode. "Yes. Is there some important reason you knocked, or are you just going too ask me meaningless questions?"

He blinked, looking slightly confused. Then he shook his head. "I was wondering if you'd like to come with me while I run some errands, or do you think you'll be fine and not get into trouble?"

"I'll be okay."

He nodded and stood there for a bit longer, causing Erika to smirk at him.

"What?" he suddenly asked.

"You gonna just stand there all day?"

"Oh yes, I'll see you for dinner Erika." Then he closed the door behind him.

Erika waited till she heard his footsteps walking down the stairs before walking to the door and peering out. She crawled slowly to the stairs before looking down, waiting for Vlad to leave. She watched him as he put on shoes and a coat and head outside.

Once she was sure he was gone, she smiled to herself before going back to her room.

She looked around her room before shutting the door. Closing her eyes, she concentrated.

There was a bright flash before she opened her eyes and saw the familiar purple and blue rings that spun around her, transforming her into her...she didn't really know what it was.

After the rings disappeared, she now stood looking down at her outfit: a short purple skirt with black leggings underneath, a purple jacket also with a black tank top under it, black, fingerless biker gloves, and black boots with roller-blades and purple and blue stripes on it. Then she glanced into the mirror. Blue hair with black highlights running through it and her once blue eyes now glowed bright purple. She looked amazing.

Smiling, she raced to the wall and phased her body through it. She was in mid air for a couple of seconds before aiming her hand down, creating a gravity field around her that slowly lowered her to the ground. When she landed, she swept back her leg and launched herself forward, roller-blades pushing her along, making the scenery around her blur into millions of different colors.

This was one of the few joys she had left in life because it took her mind off of the sucking life she lived. She zoomed down the streets, suddenly giddy with the wind whipping her loose hair behind her and the cool breeze upon her skin.

All of a sudden, she felt a chill rise up her spine and she shuttered. Screeching to a stop by angling her feet sideways, she looked around her. She knew something was up, but what ever it was, she couldn't quiet place it.

She narrowed her eyes, trying to figure out why she had gotten chilled so suddenly. And just as she was about to launch away, she heard a slightly high pitched male voice.

"Stop ghost!"

Ghost? Erika looked around, freezing when she saw a boy wearing a black HAZMAT suit with white trim, white boots and belt as well as a stylized DP. His hair was snow white and his eyes glowed an acid green color.

She stared at him. She knew him from somewhere...Ah! This was Danny Phantom, Amity Park's town hero, though not everyone believed that.

"I..." was all she said, for she was rendered speechless.

Phantom stared at her with confusion. Suddenly put on defense by his stare she demanded, "What are you staring at me for?"

He blinked before scratching the back of his head with his hand. Erika had to admit, it was kind of cute.

"I just was expecting you to shout something, maybe declare who you are or...something."

Erika crossed her arms. "And why would you think that? You don't know me."

"Well, most ghosts usually shout something when ever they show up, or they have some sort of catchphrase."

Erika raised an eyebrow. "A ghost, that's what you think I am?"

"You glow don't you, and I bet you can fly and phase through objects."

"Nope, not entirely."

Phantom frowned. Then he let out a sigh. "Well, this has been nice, but I need to send you back to the Ghost Zone now," he said as he reached to grab something on his back.

"Uh-uh," Erika said, pointing her hand at him and twisting her hand up causing purple and blue ribbons of energy formed on her arm and around him.

"Woah!" he said as his balance was thrown off-kilter, and he found himself floating upside down surround by purple and blue streaks of color.

Erika doubled over, laughing, her hand still out. "You look ridiculous like that."

"Set me down!"

"Why should I? You're trying to put me into the Ghost Zone. If you promise to let me stay, I'll let you go."

Phantom glared at her and then charged up his hand with ecto-energy. Then he shot it Erika.

Erika saw the oncoming blast and yelped before zooming away, and Phantom fell to the ground. All of a sudden, she stood above Danny and put her hands on her hips.

"Really Phantom? You shoot at me? You don't even know what I'm capable of. Do you do this to every ghost you fight: shoot first ask questions later."

Phantom rubbed his but as he stood up. "Ouch," he said.

Erika raised an eyebrow at him, waiting for an answer.

All of a sudden, something caught her eyes. A black limo sat parked a ways away. The back window rolled down and Erika's hands dropped as she stared at the face of Vlad.

His eyes sparkled with interest as their gazes locked. Erika blinked before looking at Phantom. Giving him a salute, she said, "Been nice meeting you, but I gotta bounce." Then she sped away, heading into town and then looping back around so she could head back to the mansion.

She knew that if she created any sort of blur going toward the house, she would key in her "dad" to what she was. She ran up the wall and into her room before dropping inside the window and transforming. Then she walked into the bathroom, grabbing a towel and a spare change of clothes, as well as her phone and some ear buds.

When she finished her shower, she put her clothes on and put the ear buds in her ears as she listened to music. Then she opened the door, drying her hair. She stopped when she Vlad watching her.

"What?" she demanded.

"What have you been up to?"

"I took a shower. Why is it so important. Don't I have privacy?"

"Yes, yes. Of course." Then he turned around and headed down stairs. "Dinner's in a few minutes."

I hope that helped with the Vlad surprise. Staring at her...

Erika: Stop it.

Me: No!

Erika: *grumbles*

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed. Did any of you notice what she is though? A HALFA! dun, Dun, DUN!
