Chapter 16: Make You Fall For Me
Crystal's P.O.V
I sighed as bit both of my fangs together to lessen the sharpness my fangs.
I gazed longingly at the moon...
"Can you be... My Nightingale?
Sing to me... I know you're there...
You can be... My sanity.
Bring me peace, sing need to sleep...
Say you'll be... My Nighting—"
"Crystal?" Kazumi suddenly asked.
Oh yeah... We slept in the same room.
"Hm?"
"What are you doing up late?" he asked.
I glared at him, "What are you doing home so late?" I hissed.
"U—Uh..." he muttered.
"Same." I said, coldly.
He sighed.
I didn't bother looking at him for I was paralyzed at the moon's beauty. I heard his footsteps.
His arms snaked on me waist, pulling me close to him.
"Are you mad?" he asked.
I smiled softly but I didn't answer him.
"Are you mad?" he repeated, hugging me closer.
"Kazumi..." I say, "Could someone be?"
"I'm not asking for someone," he states, seriously. "I'm asking for you."
My heartbeats were getting louder.
"Answer me, please." he pleaded.
I smiled, trying to pry his arms off but it was futile. He was wolf, I am vampire. Makes sense?
I faced him. Our foreheads were touching, his eyes were closed and I was caressing his face.
"Kazumi... I can never get mad at you." I stated, smiling.
He smiled at me, too.
I cupped his face and kissed his forehead.
"Does that mean I am forgiven for the girls kissing me?" he asked.
My smile turned into a frown.
"No." I quickly said as I laid down on my bed.
He didn't speak, he only did what I did, on my bed. He was hugging me from the back.
"What are you gonna do?" I asked him.
"Sleep."
"No, I meant what are you doing?"
"Hugging you."
"Why?"
"Because you're soft. Your skin is the softest among the rest. You're huggy too."
A tickmark appeared on my forehead.
"Are you saying I'm fat?" I asked.
His grip on me tightened as he cuddle me.
"I did not say such foolishness." he stated.
I smiled as I turned to him.
"Night, Kazumi." I said, drifting to sleep.
"Night... mate," he said. Yes, he said that, I think. Nah.
I woke up by Kazumi snuggling to me.
I smiled, brushing his hair off.
"Wolves are going to kill me someday." I whispered. "And you will start it."
All he did was smile. That, made me smile.
"I love you... You know that?" I said, smiling.
"What?" he asked.
"You're ugly, you know that?" I asked.
He only smirked. "But you. Love. Me." he stated.
I froze before snapping out of my state.
"What are you saying?" I asked.
3rd Person's P.O.V
"I'll make you fall for me." Kazumi said, smirking.
"Is that a challenge?" Crystal countered.
"Best challenge anyone can get." he boasted.
Crystal rolled my eyes. "Oh, I bet you can't."
Kazumi frowned, "Why not?"
"Cause I fell for someone already." she answer answered, smiling softly.
Kazumi's frown deepened. She looked so contented, so happy. She was his, only his. There's no way he'll share. There's no way he could let go. Just thinking of another man with her makes him frustrated.
He scowled, hugging her.
"Mmf! I shan't bweath!" her muffled voice says, trying to push herself away from her longtime friend's chest.
He only scowled. "I'm sleeping." he grumbled out.
Crystal huffed. "But will you stop the challenge?" she asked, softly.
His energy jolted up, along with his body.
"Hell no!" he cried out.
"I will make you fall for me! You'll fall for me so much that you will suck my blood instead of Nee-san's!" he declared.
Crystal buried her face on her pillow, smiling secretly. Oh, she would suck his blood anytime. For vampire slayers like her, they could suck anyone's blood, ending up to kill their prey. The only way for their hands to be clean is when they suck their most precious person to their lives. Anyone wouldn't worry when this happens, no one dies. Lucy was a queen slayer, as she, herself, said, queen slayers provide every slayers' needs.
"You want me to suck your blood, now?" she joked.
He nodded.
Her eyes widened as a blush entered her cheeks. Her eyes pretended to sleep.
"Rogue?" she murmured, "I want... your blood, Rogue-kun..."
And yes, she did pretend to murmur in her sleep.
Kazumi's eyes widened, his scowl deepening. He laid down the bed, hugging her close to him.
Both fell asleep with their own dreams at ease.
A girl, who was listening to them, smiled.
"Hey Lucy!" someone called.
Lucy scowled, "Shh! They're sleeping!" she scolded Natsu.
"What are you doing here four-thirty in the morning?" Natsu asked, worried.
"Well, I was.. Well... I was— Never mind. Wanna go back, now?" Lucy asked.
Natsu nodded, giving Lucy a hand.
Lucy smiled greatfully at Natsu.
"Lucy." a voice called for her.
Both Natsu and Lucy looked for the source to see Ziyo.
Ziyo smiled, "May I talk to you?"
Lucy nodded, too fast but surely.
"Come with me," he informed, helding out a hand out for her.
"See you Natsu," Lucy greeted, walking to Ziyo's side and taking his hand.
ZIyo nodded at Natsu, who returned the action.
Natsu watched as the couple walked away. He watched her left his side for some unspoken time.
Who was he kidding? He knew he stood no chance over Ziyo nor Sting.
He was the Salamander. The boy who was loved by everyone. The boy who defeated every enemy that has stopped his way by far. He was the action type, not the romance type.
He looked back at the path where they left, hopelessly. He lowered his head before heading towards his hotel room. Happy must've been worried.
There was a comfortable silence surrounding their thoughts and to tell you what. It was killing Ziyo.
"Lucy..." he called.
Lucy smiled at him, "Hai?"
"I noticed you, Natsu and Sting became closer..."
Lucy opened her mouth to say something but held it.
At the time Lucy mastered all the courage she can managed, she looked into Ziyo's eyes.
"Ziyo, let's break up."
