I'm finally back! You'd think because of it being summer I'd update more, but it really just makes me lazier.

Summary: Lucy Heartiflia, young and beautiful, but very shy and kind. Everyone including her friends believes she is one of the nicest girls they ever met, so why do they also feel like there is something odd about her? She blames it on her clumsiness, but is that really why she comes to school every day with new or worse cuts and bruises than before? Can this dense pink haired boy be able to save her from the secret she hides?*Rated T for mild language and action* *all my teen characters are 16, but Wendy is 13* *Oh and some people asked me this and yes it's AU and kinda OOC.*

Chapter 17

(Natsu's P.O.V)

"Natsu Dragneel, you're free to go. I better not see you here again"

I got up and walked out of the open cell. The first familiar face I saw was Lucy's as I turn the corner to enter the police station's front office.

(Lucy's P.O.V)

Once I saw him I followed my first instinct and jumped him with a hug. My arms find themselves around his neck and my legs wrap around his waist. I feel his warm, strong arms return and hold me with ease.

Being in his arms, the emotions i've been trying to hide since yesterday's events suddenly came back to me.

"I'm sorry, Natsu," tears starting to force its way out of my eyes. "I'm so sorry." I feel his chest rumble and his deep laughter that always seems to make my heart beat speed up, play into my ears like my favorite music.

(Natsu's P.O.V)

Lucy's safe and unharmed, that's all that matters. Well, not all . . .

I put her down and Lucy looks at me in confusion of my sudden action.

"Why are you sorry? Lucy, you did nothing wrong. Where's your father?" I ask only to look in her eyes and find a lost look in them.

"He's at the hospital,"

(Lucy's P.O.V)

Natsu's face suddenly turns to anger before I was able to finish.

"H-he was found unconscious and was sent immediately there. Everybody refused to talk till they let you go, so they decided they'd wait till he woke up for everything. He woke up an hour ago and the police will be taking him here once the doctor feels he has been treated enough to be released." I finish as quickly as possible, trying to soothe his anger. The last thing I need is a rampaging Natsu in a police station filled with gun-covered officers. His face soon turns to a stubborn look.

"He shouldn't be helped and treated," Natsu mumbled, causing a small smile to grace my face at his adorable facial expression.

"Natsu, you bruised his ribs, broke his left arm, gave him a black eye, and broke his nose,"

"So?"

"Hey, love birds, you know we're here to right?"

(Normal P.O.V)

Natsu quickly realized that his arms never left her waist and immediately drops them. A pink hue finds its way on both faces, Lucy's more noticeable than his.

"Shut-up, Stripper! Don't you have a club to be at and a pole to dance with for some guys right now?" Natsu comments. More like insults, but ya know how it goes.

"Huh, I find it real funny that a guy with bubble-gum-pink hair is calling me gay," Gray replies and again more like insults him, but ya know how it goes.

"Oh, I'm not just calling you gay, but also a creepy stripper. I'm really surprised. I mean, I really thought you'd go to jail before me for public nudity charges,"

And there started another fight between these two. Natsu's parents and most of the group was here.

Stopping their fights were usually Erza's job, but Gradinee was too fast. Pulling one of their ears she roughly drags them to the group, ignoring the groans and please for her to stop. She finally let's go, but only to pull Natsu into a tight momma-bear hug.

"Oh, my baby! One day you're wetting the bed and showing mommy your first friend, and the next you're getting arrested for almost killing somebody. WHAT DID I DO WRONG!?" She wept, Natsu trying his best to soothe her , his face red with embarrassment. His father and Gray laughed while the others just sweat-dropped at the scene.

"Uhmm, excuse me?" They all turn to see a police officer with an amused look on his face at the scene before it turned serious.

"Jude Heartfilia was just released and they are on their way here. I think it's time we begin."
