Well here goes chapter NINETEEN FINALLY! Enjoy!

Chapter 19

One Month Later

Silence covered the court room as the jury came back with their verdict. All sat down back into their seats except an elderly woman who began to speak.

"After much deliberation, we have our verdict your honor. We see Jude Heartifillia guilty for child abuse,"

"And the attempt of rape charges?"

She looked down with a certain tone of pity coming out as she states, "We find the defendant not guilty, your honor,"

"Very well, now will the attorneys come to the podium," the judge requests while looking through the set of papers in front of him. Both leave their clients side to discuss one last time with the judge. After a few minutes they went back to their client.

"I rule Jude Heartifillia to serve five years of prison with no chance of parole, nine years' probation, and to take anger management during his whole sentence. He is to not be seen in the same state as Lucy Heartifillia after being released. If this rule is ever broken, he'll be right back here. To stay. Custody of Lucy Heartifillia goes to Ren and Masaki McGarden. Case closed," The echoing sound of the gabble finalized the decision.

Lucy's heart had sank. Her mind went blank as her father's sentence resounded over and over again in her head.

"Five years," she thought to herself, "My life these past years was really worth only five years." She slowly got up and looked towards her father. Although handcuffed, he had a smile of victory on his face. Why wouldn't he? He had won. His money most likely bought him the smallest punishment they could allow. As he was being escorted out the court room he met her eyes. With a smirk forming on his lips he mouths, "See you soon, baby"

Lucy's hands form fists as she shakes in rage.

"Lucy?" her attorney was too late as her client rushes to the defendant only to be stopped and held by a nearby officer.

"YOU DISGUSTING BASTARD! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU SO MUCH! GO TO HELL!" Lucy shouts, shocking the whole court room. Surprisingly, the judge stayed quiet as the young girl burst into tears. The officer was soon replaced with Levy. She soothingly rubbed Lucy's back as she cried into her shoulder.

"IT'S NOT FEAR! I HATE THIS! I hate him Levy," her voice softening, "He hurt me. His disgusting hands has touched me. I'm not innocent anymore, and I never even got the chance to be. He took that away from me, Levy. He stole everything. My childhood was turned into fear filled nights that are my nightmares when I sleep at night. He walks away with everything I'll never get back!"

The judge looks away from the scene, "Take him out of my court room, now."

Levy lightly pats her back tears falling from her own eyes as she whisper's reassuring words such as, "Everything is going to be okay Lu-Chan" to Lucy which only gained her a laugh.

"Levy, that's the thing though. This will never be okay," Lucy gently pulls away from Levy giving her a small smile. Giving a small nod to her attorney, she begins to walk out of the court room. The rest of her friends by the door ready to follow.

"I need some time alone, you guys" she whispers without even looking at them as she walks out the door. She only made it a couple steps away before the sound of approaching footsteps came her way.

"Lucy wait!" She turns around and although it's the worst possible time her heart flutters as she meets his onyx eyes.

"Lucy, I'm not leaving you alone. I'm staying with you every step of the way and that definitely includes right now. C'mon," he grabs her hand leading her outside.

"Where are we going Natsu?"

"Movies at my house for two is waiting for us" he states with his goofy grin showing. Her heart beats fast and cheeks turned a slight pink at his unintentional cuteness.

After reaching his house, they sat and watch her favorite movies, although some were too girly for Natsu's taste.

When Anastasia ended, he softly pulled Lucy closer.

"Lucy, what's your worst feeling right now and don't lie. We all saw you in the court room."

Lucy brought a big smile to her face, "Nothing really, I'm fine. I just lost control in the court room. It was an embarrassing accident that will never hap-"

"No it wasn't. It was you telling Levy how you truly felt. You finally showed a piece of yourself that I've wanted to see for the longest. You confided in Levy, although I wanted it to be me who had you in their arms. Me who held you as you cried. Me who . . . you look at like this" Natsu admits with his face turning a bright red. Lucy couldn't help it. Her body started to warm and her gaze was set on his lips. "Just this time," she thought as she scooted closer making Natsu nervous, "Just this once, don't think about consequences." And she didn't. For once, she followed her heart.

And she kissed him.
