Hey, my peeps. I have finally returned once again with a new chapter. And, once again, I apologize for the ludicrously long wait.
I received my first ever flame a few weeks ago, and all I have to say to that person is this:
Who cares if my story is 'cheesy' or not? If you don't like my story, you don't have to read it. No one's forcing you, as far as I know. Yeah, I know I'm not the greatest writer on the planet, but it is so not necessary for you to call me out on it. For Primus' sake, I'm only in high school! Cut me a break, why don't you? Flamers like you are nothing but insecure attention hogs who only say such cruel things to make themselves feel better. I will continue writing if I damn-well feel like it because this site is for anyone who wants to write their fantasies about what they enjoy watching or reading. Lots of people like my story - as I'm sure you realize since my story has only just barely broken 30,000 words and I've already got over a hundred in reviews, followers, and favoriters each - so I'm not going to stop writing just because of you. I'd like to see you do better. (Seriously, I would. I'm always looking for a good story on here, and I'm picky, so it's pretty hard sometimes) So, I repeat, if you dislike my story that much, STOP READING IT. There are plenty of other stories on this site and others for you to read.
Here are the final results for the poll.
Mirage (AKA Dino): 14 votes
Jetfire: 9 votes
Grimlock (and possibly other Dinobots): 9 votes (HE'S GOING TO BE SO FRAGGING AWESOME IN TRANSFORMERS 4!)
Que: 4 votes
Truth be told, all of these guys are going to be in my story and a bunch of others. I started coming up with ideas and I will need all of them to put the ideas into action. So, yay to the people who would have otherwise been disappointed!
Oh, a bit of a warning, the beginning of this chapter is going to be a tiny bit dark. Gotta have conflict for a story to be good, right?
You should all know the legend by now for normal speech and thoughts, so I won't bother.
Hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 7
"Sparkling?"
I was brought out of my memories by the sound of Megatron trying to regain my attention. I shook my head a little and refocused on him.
"Uh?"
He arched an optic ridge. "You seemed to be thinking quite intently on something or other." He mused. When he did not continue, I figured he was waiting for me to share with him what had been on my mind.
Obviously, I was not about to tell him of his origins, so I simply kept silent. When it became clear to him I was not going to say anything, he changed the subject.
"You claim I have no control over you." He mused.
"Nope." I replied, not caring that it had been a rhetorical question.
He ignored my reply. "I believe I may have an idea how to remedy that."
I really didn't like the way he grinned at the end of this statement. I decided to read his spark - a skill I had learned a couple of weeks before my capture - to find out just what he was planning. What I felt froze the energon in my cables.
"No!" I shrieked as I struggled to get out of his grip.
Yeah, yeah, I know. I could have just warped away from him, but cut me some slack! I may be the Allspark, but I was still just a sparkling. I was just as entitled to have a freak attack as any other sparkling.
Megatron only chuckled at my futile attempts to escape him as he left his quarters. Under different circumstances, I would have quit struggling by now since I was wise enough to know it would be fruitless and it would be better to save my energy. But, I had to stop him from doing this to me. I had to.
As I said earlier, my struggles were for naught, and we entered the Med-Bay to be greeted by a stunned Knockout. Clearly, he had not realized I had escaped nap time.
"M-My liege. How did- I mean where did- she should be," Knockout babbled in his utterly flabbergasted state as he pointed to me and in the direction of his quarters.
"That is of no importance." Megatron said, silencing Knockout's rambling so he could stare at Megatron in confusion.
"It isn't?"
"No, I have a task for you regarding the sparkling." he said. Knockout looked to me, only now noticing my struggle to get away from the warlord. He immediately approached us as he reached out for me. Megatron finally relinquished his hold on me and passed me off to Knockout. I looked at my guardian with pleading optics.
"Don' let him do it!" I shouted hysterically before I gripped his neck as though it were a life line. And, in a certain light, it very well was.
"Don't let him do what?" he looked to Megatron with an arched optic ridge.
"It would seem she has no interest in adhering to my command." he said. "And so, we must persuade her to see our side the only way I know will succeed." As he finished his vague explanation, his optics turned purple, and Knockout understood what he was implying.
"Lord Megatron, with all due respect, have you gone mad?" Knockout almost shouted as he attempted to shield me from his master's sight. "Dark energon supposedly comes from Unicron's Antispark. Soulsong came from Primus' spark. Therefore, it is very likely dark energon would be a worse poison than Tox-En for her."
Megatron growled as he stalked up to Knockout. He stopped inches from the medic before snarling, "You dare question your lord and master?"
Knockout cowered under Megatron's spark-shuddering glare. "N-No, master, but are we really willing to risk snuffing hers of all sparks?"
Megatron looked to my trembling form, then back to Knockout. "She will not die. I feel this. This shall grant me full control over the Allspark within her chassis. Do it."
"No!" I shouted, startling both mechs. "That's the dark energon talking. Those are Unicwon's words. Unicwon wants me dead just as much as he does Pwimus. Please, Megatwon, don' do this to me." I pleaded, hysterical tears slowly cascading down my face plates.
Megatron did not listen, but Knockout did. Through the bond, I could feel Ratchet having a flat out panic attack, as he had listened in on the entire exchange - he had been listening the entire time I had been on the Nemesis. To be honest, I did not know whether or not Knockout's theory was correct, but I sure as Pit did not want to find out.
Though Knockout was terrified of what this would result in, he could not fight his master. I could feel in his spark that he thought it better to give in to Megatron's demands and live to care for me - should I survive - than continue to argue and be extinguished.
He laid me on a medical berth and sedated me, so I would not fight him. I could feel the sedative taking effect. My limbs became heavy, my processors grew fuzzy, my vision began to fade. Knockout watched me with sorrowful optics as he whispered, "Forgive me."
The last thing I saw before giving in to the pull of the enticing darkness was the small piece of dark energon from the shard buried deep within Megatron's tainted spark.
Primus, please save me...
I opened my eyes to the Dreamscape. I laid upon a bed of soft grass beside a small lake with a relatively small waterfall on the other side. There were water lilies surrounding the pond, lily pads sprinkled across the top. I had always wanted to see a place like this when I was human.
"I know you have. That is why I created this for you." A familiar voice stated.
I looked to my other side, spotting Primus sitting mere inches away from me. Being me, I still remembered the events that lead to my arrival here despite the sedative. My lower lip started to quiver and my eyes filling with fearful tears.
"Oh, my dearest spark, come here." he said as he extended his arms to me.
I leapt into his arms, the tears falling as though the dam blocking them had suddenly imploded. I cried into his chassis for several minutes as he alternated between stroking my hair and back, whispering consolatory words in my ear. When I had finally calmed enough to speak, though in no more than a whisper, I gave voice to my fears.
"Am I really going to die? Again?"
Primus continued to stroke my back as he answered. "No, you will not die. Dark energon is not poisonous to you, as the medic feared."
I pushed away from him just enough to see his face. "Really?"
"Yes," he affirmed. "You are aware Unicron is my brother, and as such, we share extremely minute amounts of each other's essences, if you will. Therefore, you already have traces of Unicron's blood flowing through your veins, though faint they may be. You might compare it to the concept of getting a shot during a checkup at a hospital. A small amount of the disease is injected into the blood stream so the body may learn how to fight off the disease should a larger amount invade your system. The difference being your body will accept my brother's life blood, rather than reject and eliminate it."
"I will live." I said to myself, repeating it for a few moments as the relief washed over me. The reprieve was short lived, however, as other worries filled my head.
"What will happen to me, then?"
Primus sighed before answering. "To put it simply, your judgment will be clouded during the times you are near the warlord or my brother. And, when you are older, you will have trouble controlling certain... urges."
He was putting it gently, but I knew what he meant. Megatron's little plan would succeed - though I suspected not to the degree he would prefer - and when I reached maturity, or even the very beginnings, I wouldn't be able to control my attraction to him.
The second one didn't seem too bad. My body may have been a virgin, but my spark certainly wasn't. Before the war, I'd had quite a bit of fun with Orion Pax and Megatronus. Back when Megatronus' spark wasn't tainted by Megatron's power lust, and he still had the most beautiful blue optics I had ever seen. More beautiful than even Orion's, which is saying something.
Oh, how I missed those optics...
I was far more worried about the first one. Unicron was cruel, and it wasn't as though I had never had a violent thought or urge. In fact, my thoughts could be more sadistic than Megatron's, though possibly not as bad as Airachnid. I simply never acted on them. I had never been an impulsive person. But, it was clear enough the dark energon would change that.
"But," Primus continued, regaining my attention. "That is the worst of it. The more positive effects include accelerated growth, or what humans would refer to as a growth spurt, and an immunity to dark energon similar to that which Megatron has developed."
Well, that was good. Being a sparkling is fun and all, but I wanted to be an adolescent so I could hang out with Jack, Miko, and Raf. Plus, maybe then I could help out the 'bots more.
Don't get me wrong. I still have no intention of becoming a warrior. But, there are other... more fun ways of helping out.
"Just how much of a growth spurt?" I asked Primus. "Are we talking tween, teen, or adult?"
Primus hummed in thought with a contemplative look on his visage. "In human terms, I would say you would resume your normal rate of growth once your body reached the human equivalent of fourteen."
So, the very beginnings of adolescence. Good enough for me. From my memories of Cybertron, that was normally when the first stages of maturity began. Including sexual maturity. But, most mechs and femmes would learn - hands on, I might add - about interfacing from a trusted, experienced friend or relative. With most frame types, however, it was frowned upon for the creators of a youngling to be their sexual mentors. It was viewed as the creators having too much influence on the youngling's life. Therefore, it became customary for the youngling to choose their mentor in the activity, though the creators did have a say.
The fact is, interface is not nearly as taboo amongst cybertronians as sex is with humans. Incest was not a concept on Cybertron, though it was extremely rare sparkmates would be closely related. It is however, fairly common for split-spark twins to become sparkmates, as they were already two halves of one spark. This is a bit of an overstatement, however, as split-sparks and rare in and of themselves.
But, I digress.
"There is one more effect of the dark energon that you should know about." Primus said.
"What would that be?"
"Your spark will not react well to the dark energon at first. Your guardian will panic, and will come to the conclusion your spark will not be able to handle the dark energon alone, as you are so young."
"Where are you going with this?" I interrupted, wanting him to just come out with it.
"You will be given a symbiote."
That floored me. "Like... Like Laserbeak?"
"Yes. You are familiar with Ravage, are you not?"
My face broke into a grin. "Ravage is going to be my symbiote? I get to have a kitty again?"
Primus only smiled in answer.
I was so happy. When I was human, there hadn't been a single moment in my life when my family didn't own at least one cat, though usually it was two.
"The symbiotic bond will be established only a couple of hours after the dark energon is injected into your energon lines, but Ravage will not be able to transform into a part of your armor as Laserbeak does until you reach the human equivalent of sixteen, at which point you will be done growing for the most part."
That would only be a week or so after the growth spurt. I could wait. But then, another question came to me.
"The dark energon they give me is a part of Megatron's own shard. Does that mean I will have some sort of... bond... with him?" I asked nervously.
Primus sighed. "Yes, it does. Though, I imagine the prospect is not unappealing to you."
There was disdain in his voice. "You're still mad about how he betrayed you to join Unicron with Maximo, aren't you?"
Primus huffed. "That is putting it lightly. Had it not been for Prima, you would have been lost to us because of Megatronus; you know this. Let us not even get into the war he started that darkened Cybetron forever."
I rolled my eyes. "You know very well it's not forever. Had it not been for Megatron reconstructing the Omega Lock, then you would be right, but you're not."
"Only so he could attempt to conquer my children again, which would likely have yielded the same outcome."
This time, I sighed. "Everyone deserves a second chance, Primus. This time around, I will be here. How do you know I will not be able to heal his tainted spark?"
Primus snorted sardonically. "Because it worked so well the first time and the second?"
"Third time's the charm?" I tried.
Primus sighed heavily. "I do not like it anymore than I did when you brought him back to life all those eons ago, but I know you will not listen to me in this anymore than you did back then."
I smiled. "Very true."
Primus gave me a tired smile. "Let us hope you will succeed this time."
I snuggled up to him. "Let us."
We sat there for I don't how long, just basking in each other's presence. I have been many things to Primus, as he has to me, but my favorite moments are the paternal ones.
When I finally woke up, it was to the sound of beeping. I knew I was in the med-bay. I looked to the source of the beeping, seeing it was a spark monitor.
My spark felt... different. Like there was another presence there besides Ratchet. I reached out to it, and something moved at my pedes. I tried to sit up, and realized my body felt different, too. I looked down at myself. I was... longer. I don't know how else to put it.
My legs were much longer, and so was my torso. I lifted my arm. It was also longer, and my seeker claws were much more developed. Happily, I noticed I still retained my midnight blue paint job with streaks of color. I placed a hand on my head and felt my hair-like wires. There were a lot more of them and they were much longer, though still curly. They glowed a lovely lavender, representing my curiosity. I pulled one straight, then let it go. It sprang right back to its original shape, just as it always had when I was human.
I wiggled my wings. I couldn't see them, but I didn't have to. I could feel they were also much bigger. I wrapped my arms around myself to trace them. They pointed upwards, like Starscream's. In fact, they felt exactly like Starscream's.
Once I had finished taking inventory, I felt something nudge my side. I looked to my left and saw a metallic cat's head. I almost squeaked in surprise.
The cat didn't so much as blink. He just stared at me.
After a few moments of silence, I finally said something.
"You must be Ravage, right?"
The cat nodded once. 'Yes, I am'
I jumped at the sudden voice in my head. I looked at Ravage. "Was that you?"
He nodded again.
I hummed in thought. "Primus said you'd become my symbiote. That's why you can project your thoughts into my mind, yes?
'Indeed' he replied.
"Since you're in my head, might I assume you know who I am?"
'You are Soulsong, incarnation of the Allspark'
I nodded with a smile before looking around. "Where's Knockout?"
Ravage didn't answer for a few moments. Instead, Knockout came running into the med-bay. When he saw I was awake, he ran over to me and smothered me in a joint crushing hug.
"Oh, Primus, Soulsong, you're okay." he almost whimpered.
I hugged him back. "Yes, I'm okay."
He drew back so he could see me. There was lubricant in his optics.
"I'm so sorry I had to do that to you, and I do not blame you if you cannot forgive me."
I hushed him as I stroked his cheek plating. "I don't blame you. If you had not done as Megatron commanded, you would not be here with me now. I'm okay and you're okay, and I forgive you."
A drop of the lubricant leaked from one of his optics. I wiped it away with my thumb.
"Oh, my darling Soulsong. My sparklette." He babbled, along with other endearments as he enveloped me in another hug.
When he had regained most of his composure, he looked at my entirety. "Well, at least you have finally stopped aging."
I raised an optic ridge. "Finally?"
"You were in stasis for about two weeks, in this planet's terms. During that time, your life cycle was accelerated severely, most likely caused by the dark energon. If I watched closely and for long enough, I could literally watch you age before my optics, though very slowly."
I nodded. "Yeah, humans call it a growth spurt. Except, for them, it only effects their height, not their age, and you usually can't actually watch it happen. It tends to be an overnight thing."
Knockout hummed as he mused silently while he examined me to assure himself I really was alright. He finally spoke when he finished his little checkup.
"By the looks of it, you are ready for your first alternate mode."
My wings fluttered as I grinned in excitement. "Really? I get to learn how to fly?"
Knockout smiled at my enthusiasm. "Indeed. As my alternate mode is an sumptuous automobile," I rolled my eyes with a knowing smile, "I believe Starscream would be the best choice in training you."
"Ok, let's go." I said, making to hop off the berth before Knockout blocked me.
"Uh, uh, uh." He wiggled a finger at me. "You must rest before you do anything strenuous."
"But I've been resting for two weeks." I whined, giving him my best pouty face.
He gave me that smile every parent has for their child. "Don't look at me like that. That was a different type of rest. Besides, I believe it would be in your best interest to learn how to mobilize your much larger frame before you try to take flight hundreds of clicks from the surface."
My wings drooped as I crossed my arms and slouched, looking at the ground. "I can move around just fine."
He chuckled, never losing that damned smile. "Really, now? Well then, prove it."
I looked up with an enquiring raised optic ridge.
Knockout crossed his arms and gave me an cheeky look. "If you can walk to the other side of the med-bay without falling, I will allow you to train with Starscream in flight right now. If not, you will remain here and rest, then go to Starscream either tomorrow or the next day."
It wasn't lost on me that Knockout was probably right, but I'm a child, and we tend to have an inexorable need to knock our parents down a few pegs. So, I gave Knockout my best look of confidence, and hopped off the berth to stand on my legs.
Big mistake.
My legs immediately buckled under my weight and I fell to my hands and knees with a yelp.
Knockout laughed, though he tried - and failed miserably, I might add - to stifle it with his servo.
I glared indignantly at him. "Stop laughing and just help me back onto the berth."
Still laughing, Knockout obliged me and carefully picked me up bridal style and placed me back on the berth.
"I hate to say I told you so, but-"
"Do it, and I'll make sure you know what that was like." I threatened.
He stopped laughing and raised an optic ridge, simply looking at me for a few moments before, "I told you so?"
As soon as the words rolled off his glossa, his own legs buckled under him and he fell, landing on his back.
"What in Primus' name?" he spluttered as he raised himself on his elbows.
"I warned you." I said, a satisfied smirk on my face.
He looked up at me with a disbelieving look. "You did that?"
"Yup." I said, popping the last letter.
"An ability of the Allspark?"
"Yup."
He was silent for a couple moments until he spoke again. "If I bring Steve in here to see you, will you reactivate my legs?"
He received his answer when he regained feeling in his legs and stood up. He pressed a finger to his helm. "Knockout to Steve, report to the med-bay immediately. There's a certain youngling here who would like to see you."
As Knockout went to one if his full length mirrors to check himself for scratches, I smiled at the prospect of spending time with Steve while I was laid up. Then, I looked to the cybercat who had watched the entire exchange in silence. I had nearly forgotten he was even there.
I patted the berth invitingly, and he hopped onto it and laid next to me. I stroked and scratched his helm, and he purred just as any Earth cat would. This was most definitely the start of a beautiful symbiosis.
The day had been... interesting. Steve had nearly hugged me to death when he saw I was awake. The rest of the day had been spent interchangeably watching Earth programs and my learning how to use my new body. Knockout, Steve, and Ravage took turns in being my crutch.
Today, I could now walk with the same grace every other seeker has, so Knockout said I could go see Starscream.
As Knockout, Ravage, and I walked down the halls of the Nemesis, many of the vehicons waved and greeted me, some even complimenting on how grown-up I looked. Sweetsparks, all of them.
As we walked, I noticed I now came up to Knockout's chest plates, his headlights to be specific. That would mean I was around fifteen feet tall, about Arcee's height.
Yes, I was only at the beginning of my adolescent stage, but Arcee is a two-wheeler, a subset of grounders who are basically the midgets of the cybetronian race along with compacts, the two-wheelers' flying counterpart. Airachnid had been a prime example of a compact until Shockwave had gotten his hands on her.
But, that's a story for another time.
We finally made it to the flight deck, where Starscream stood waiting for us beside two other seekers who looked like different colored versions of him with different crests on their helms.
I ran to Starscream as he knelt to my height, as I only came up to his midsection.
"Hi, Starscream!" I greeted joyfully as I hugged him.
"It is good to see you well, seekerlette." he said as he embraced me back.
He drew back so he could take me in. "I see you had quite the growth spurt."
"That's what I told Knockout." I said, pointing to said medic.
Knockout hummed in confirmation. "It would appear she has regressed to her naturally accelerated aging process, but she is now just pass the midpoint of her youngling stage; what the humans call 'adolescence.'"
"As such, she is in need of a vehicle mode and a mentor in flight, yes?" Starscream guessed.
Knockout nodded. "Indeed."
"And of course, I would be more than willing to fill that position. But first, I would like to introduce you to two whom I consider brothers." he said, gesturing to the seekers standing on either side of us.
The purple and black one introduced himself first. Rather enthusiastically, I might add, with a voice that sounded similar to the Starscream from Bayverse. "Hi, I'm Skywarp."
I smiled at him. "I'm Soulsong."
The blue and red one spoke up next. "Oh, we know. When Screamer isn't glitching about Lord Megatron, he won't shut up about you."
Starscream sent him a scorching glare as Skywarp giggled - not chuckled, giggled - but the blue mech just chuckled even more, obviously used to such looks from his brother.
Then the mech seemed to remember he hadn't introduced himself yet. "Oh, and the name's Thundercracker, by the way, but you can just call me TC."
"And you can call me Sky." Skywarp announced.
I grinned at Starscream. "Can I call you 'Screamer?'" I asked teasingly.
"I would prefer you didn't." he said in a deadpan tone.
"Would you prefer she call you 'Starshriek?'"
Knockout and I both laughed at Thundercracker's remark as Starscream shot him and a giggling-like-a-toddler Skywarp a positively scalding glare.
"Oh, I am so going to call you that from this point on." Knockout managed to choke out.
Starscream muttered to himself until we all finished laughing.
"If you are all through, I believe it is time to find Soulsong her first vehicle mode." Starscream said as he rose to his pedes.
"Oooh, oooh!" Skywarp waved an arm around like he was in school with the answer to a question. "On our way to meet up with the warship, TC and I passed this area that has all sorts of different aircraft."
Skywarp didn't wait for anyone to respond to his idea as he latched onto both me and Starscream.
"Hey, wait for me!" Thundercracker shouted, hurrying to grab Skywarp before he warped us to this place.
Warping with Skywarp isn't much different from warping myself. But, since I was still getting used to my larger frame, I still had to take a few seconds to find my center of balance again.
Once I had, I took in the area. There really was a plethora of aircraft. Everywhere I looked, I saw jets, planes, and helicopters of different shapes and sizes.
"Now," Starscream began, so I turned to him. "We will need to find something small enough to accommodate your small stature, big enough you will be able to grow into it given your accelerated aging, and, of course, something that you feel suits you."
And so began our walk through the maze of aircraft. I have know idea just what this place is, but I couldn't sense any other life forms of any sort here. Wait - no, there were two men sitting in a shack a quarter of a mile south of here, but they both seemed to be asleep. Probably security guards who fell asleep watching a bunch of planes doing squat.
We walked around for maybe half an hour before I spotted a small jet that practically screamed at me.
"That one!" I shouted, startling the seekers.
I ran over to the jet and circled it. I was in love.
Starscream hummed his approval. "Yes, I believe this will work for you quite nicely. All you need do is scan it."
I stared at the jet, willing it to become mine. After half a second, everything seemed to be tinted green, the jet highlighted. I received information on everything I could possibly wantq to know about the jet. It's called an F/A-38. There were other specs and stuff, but I didn't really care that much. I may be a seeker, but I don't speak aircraft specs anymore than I did when I was human.
Once the scan was complete, I willed myself to transform. Turns out transforming isn't any harder than walking. I didn't even really think about it, I just did it.
Starscream smiled. "Excellent."
Skywarp gave me two thumbs up. "Lookin' good, Song."
Thundercracker didn't say anything as he continued to stand there with his arms crossed, but he did give a proud smile as I transform back to bipedal mode with a gleeful grin.
"Right then, Skywarp?" Starscream beckoned.
We all hung on to Skywarp as he took us back to the Nemesis, where Knockout awaited along with Ravage for our return. Once there, the lessons began.
"Soulsong, my dear seekerlette, you are a natural."
I basked in Starscream's praise. Flying lessons had gone wonderfully and boy had it been fun. There were a few hiccups, though, with keeping my balance and staying in the air - it's quite literally like learning how to walk, only it's a lot easier to get the hang of. After an hour of just plain flying around the flight decks, Starscream let me do a few simple flight tricks like spinning and a small loop.
Flying is... Primus, how can I describe it? It is absolute bliss. I remember, when I was human, I used to love the swings. The wind in my hair as it rushed passed me with each swing; jumping off and feeling that weightlessness if only for half a second. Oh, I wished so badly I could fly. And now, I can.
Thunder rolled in the distance.
We all looked in the sound's direction, spotting the ominous dark clouds in the dusk's horizon. The warship was heading straight for the storm. Not a big deal for the ship, but staying out here wouldn't be the greatest idea given our being comprised of living, conductive metal.
Starscream hummed. "We will have to cut this lesson short. Everyone back inside."
The five of us followed Starscream through the door, only to be greeted by Megatron.
He spotted me and smirked. Demonically, in my opinion.
"Ah... Knockout had informed me you were up and about. The Blood of Unicron suits you well." he said in a smug tone.
I whimpered and hid behind Knockout, my hand clutching my spark.
"What are you talking about, my liege?" Starscream raised an optic ridge at his master's statement and the fear practically dripping from my EM field.
I answered before Megatron could open his mouth. "He put dark energon in my spark."
It was deathly silent for a moment, until all three seekers growled in synchronization and aimed either blasters or missiles at Megatron.
The warlord seemed too shocked to even speak for an astrosecond, but quickly regained his composure and growled at his SIC and his trine mates.
"What is the meaning of this?" he snarled.
"You were not expecting this, my liege?"
Megatron glared at Knockout. "Are you the one behind this mutiny?"
"Certainly not." Knockout said very calmly. "It's their seeker programming. You know as well as I seekers are extremely protective of sparklings, younglings, and active carriers. Even more so with those of their own race. Add the fact that this little seeker is also the Allspark, and I am surprised they have not already fired upon you."
Megatron hummed in thought. Being reminded of seeker programming, he knew if he took even one step closer to me, all Pit would break loose.
He looked back to Knockout. "What do you suggest?"
In the same calm tone, Knockout replied, "I would suggest you back away slowly and keep your distance from Soulsong until she reaches the later stages of her youngling stage, so around three of this planet's months."
Megatron growled inwardly at this. I truly hoped I would never find out just what plans he'd had for me that this little development had decimated.
He turned to leave, the seekers lowering their weapons as he did so, before he turned around and asked, "What if the seekers are not near her and, therefore, cannot protect her?"
Megatron's question may as well have been the final bash of a baseball bat to a car window before the glass finally shattered. The seekers all let out a battle cry and pounced on Megatron. Knockout and I both stood frozen. It was like watching a car crash; you couldn't look away no matter how much you wanted to.
Finally, I couldn't take anymore. I had to get away. Away from the violence. Away from the war. Away from the barbarity, savagery, bloodthirstiness. Away.
I warped outside to the far side of the flight deck; too far from the door for Knockout to reach me in time. I transformed and took flight into the storm. I did not know where I was going. I did not care. I just knew I had to get away.
Unfortunately, I flew straight into the thunderstorm. I was able to dodge the lightning for several minutes, for I truly was a natural when it came to flying. My good luck, however, did not last, as I was struck from behind as though the lightning had actually tried to sneak up and strike me from behind since aiming from the front was not working.
My systems went haywire. It felt almost like I was going mad. The world went black before I even hit the water.
When I woke up, everything hurt. I felt gross, like there was filth in every nook and cranny it could fit into. I groaned, my systems coming online sluggishly.
"Hey sh... -king up." a voice said. It didn't sound familiar. Although...
"-on't crowd arou..." another voice said. That one sounded human...
My audio receptors finally came fully online, so now I didn't have to decipher what they were saying.
"Where do you think she came from?" said a little boy's voice. I know that voice...
"What makes you think it's a 'she?'" said a man's voice.
"Kade, please, they may be aliens, but you can't look at her and not know it's a girl." said a woman's voice. Kade?
"It's a femme, alright." said another male's voice, but this one was clearly a mech. "Question is, what was a youngling like her and a cybercat doing washed up on Griffin Rock's beach?"
Griffin Rock?!
Didn't expect that, now, did'ja? Yup, the Rescue Bots will be in my story. I know a bunch of you really want Song back with the Autobots, but this is close enough, right?
It is now past midnight and I have school tomorrow, so I'm going to bed. See ya next time!
