Hey, everyone! I lives!
I am so extremely sorry this chapter took so long. I had a pretty busy summer. I was working at my parents daycare/preschool, we went to New Jersey (BEACH!) and New York, my family was in a Bowling League all summer (I'm on my school's bowling team), saw a bunch of new movies like Age of Extinction (SO FREAKIN' AWESOME), Guardians of the Galaxy, and we saw How to Train Your Dragon 2 on the Fourth. We did all kinds of stuff.
But, the chapter is finally done and I hope it will make you all forgive me for taking such a ridiculously long time. Especially since it's my longest chapter yet.
Enjoy!

Warning: OOC Optimus in this chapter. I admit it. But that's just how he is when he's around just Soulsong.
Chapter 10
I was wrapped in large, strong arms as I felt my systems begin to slowly come online.
By the time Optimus and I had finally separated, the days events had finally caught up to my frame and I was just exhausted. Optimus had chuckled and swept me back into his arms, laying us on his berth with me cuddled to his chest. Always the sweetest spark...
My optics came online to the sight of Optimus still in power-down. He looked so peaceful as he recharged. He claimed he only rested so serenely when my spark was near his. Otherwise, he was plagued by horrid fluxes and memories of the Great War. I hadn't doubted him, but I must have subconsciously thought he was just flattering me.
Then came the lunar cycle I came back from the first time I had left him to return to the Well to bear the first generation of newsparks during the war. Three vorns had passed since it began, and I was gone for about an orn. I came home late in the night to find my poor Optimus tossing and turning in his berth, a look of horror, anguish, and guilt contorting his visage that was just plain spark wrenching.
I ran to him and was about to wake him up, when the memory of what he had told me came to mind. So, instead I shut down his motor functions so he wouldn't accidentally hurt me when I climbed atop him, my spark right above his. Within moments, the anguish smoothed into sedate tranquility. To be certain, I reactivated his motor functions, only for him to wrap those strong arms around me, though never once did he wake. That's when I realized I hadn't truly believed what he'd said about my spark's affect on his, because I definitely believed it then.
"Penny for your process?"
I jumped at the sudden voice and looked up to see my mech staring at me with the same amount love he had all those eons ago. My spark fluttered, but I composed myself quickly.
"Pennies are obsolete. You know my preferred currency." I smirked.
He chuckled before kissing me.
When our lips parted, I kept my end of the bargain while tracing random patterns into his windshield. "I was just remembering the night I came home from the first time I returned to the Well after the war began."
He hummed. "I remember that from the merge we partook in the morning after. I know I do not have to describe how it felt to wake from a surprisingly restful power-down to find you in my arms."
"No, you don't." I giggled. "You showed me not even a klik after waking. Quite eagerly, I might add, given you did not even bother to wake me before inserting yourself."
"I missed you dearly." He cuddled me closer to his chest before smirking up at me knowingly. "And you speak as if you do not enjoy when I do so when we both know you adore being roused or rousing me in such a way."
I laughed. "Touché." Rhyming!
His smirk expanded into a full blown grin. "Speaking of 'such ways...'"
A hand began stroking my wings. Damn cybertronian biology for not giving me or anyone else with wings of any kind the ability to turn off the tactile sensors in the appendages. What the frag, Primus?
My arms were conveniently - for him, anyway - condemned to my sides by his arms. I suspect he pulled that off while he was distracting me with memories. So, I simply shut down the wandering arm, letting it crash to the berth.
I gave him an unimpressed look. "No you don't. You are over three times my current mass. I'm not taking any chances."
"I have always been gentle with you." he defended, sounding somewhat insulted.
"Do I really need to remind you of our first time as Aria and Orion?" I arched an optic ridge.
He opened his mouth, then closed it. Silence reigned for a few moments before he finally came up with a counter. "I was inexperienced."
And, of course, he had tons of experience and stamina now. I mentally sighed. Time to pull out the big guns.
"No, Optimus. I don't want to."
He sagged in sheer disappointment. Of course, being the gentlemen he is, he would never force me to do anything of that nature if I directly expressed my objection, as I just had.
Then he started pouting. An expression of his no one but me is allowed to see. Ugh... Damn him for being so guilt-trippingly cute when he looks at me like that.
I dropped my head onto his chest. "Fine," I groaned into his armor. "We will compromise."
I lifted my head to see him arching an optic ridge in question.
"I will stroke and blow you one, and you can play with my spark and wings."
"You do not wish to play with my spark?"
"Do you really want to go through me removing the matrix? I'm not strong enough to do so without pain in my current state of early adolescence."
That was the only real problem concerning the Matrix of Leadership. Unless we're merging, I can't get at Optimus' spark since it's behind the matrix. Now, I was already a fully matured adult the first time I removed the matrix, so it was fine. But, Primus warned me last night that I shouldn't try it until I'm an adult in this body, otherwise... well, let's just say it would kill the mood pretty quickly.
He shivered so subtly I almost missed it. Almost. "Fair point."
I knew why he shivered. Early in the war, an Autobot base in Praxus was attacked and only twelve out of a few hundred 'Bots stationed there had survived. Optimus had been visiting that base when it was attacked. As it turned out, a Decepticon spy had tailed him and the soldiers accompanying him on his journey to the base. Optimus believed it was his fault so many lives had been lost and tried to remove the matrix, thinking himself unworthy.
I had felt his agony as he tried to separate the matrix from his spark, and flew to the smaller base stationed just outside of Praxus where he and the other survivors had retreated to, warping every few seconds so I was there within minutes. I managed to stop him before he could do any damage to his spark even I could not repair. Needless to say, Optimus never tried that again, especially after some serious therapy from both myself and Primus.
SMUT SMUT SMUTTY SMUT! SKIP IF YOU'RE EASILY OFFENDED NOW!
I mentally shook myself from those somber thoughts and gave Optimus a sultry smile. "My being younger than I was the last time we did this has no affect on my spike skills, however."
His engine revved before he asked, "Who will go first?"
I smiled my evil, little smile.
He narrowed his optics. "I am not in the mood for one of your 'contests.'"
I gave an overdramatic sigh. "Don't tell me my absence has diminished your sense of fun this severely. Seems I have more work cut out for me than I originally thought."
He gave me a withering glare and opened his mouth to say something, but all that came out was a choked gasp as I had quickly crawled up his chest to his helm and slowly licked his left audio finial. This time, he only gave me a mock glare.
"What?" I chuckled. "Gotta start somewhere." I then proceeded to lick his other finial before moving to his chevron to suck on it.
Optimus growled his pleasure and slight annoyance at being interrupted in such a fashion as he stroked my wings, causing me to shiver.
"You are well aware I do not tolerate being interrupted. For that, I will go first." he said in a low, mock admonishing tone that made my wings quiver. My hair shifted to the same shade it had been when I was with the jet twins, only more vibrant because it was my Optimus.
He hummed as he stroked my hair. "The color of energon mixed with bismuthinite. That brings forth memories."
Of course, I knew exactly what he was talking about.
"I'm still not sorry about that. You left me no choice, you were such a fragging prude." I chuckled.
Back when he was still Orion, long before he became Prime, I once spiked his energon with bismuthinite and manipulated its properties to keep the color from changing so he wouldn't suspect. That was what instigated our first time.
He huffed before flicking a particularly sensitive sensor on my right wing all Seekers have. I gasped which quickly turned into a shaky moan.
"Well, you cannot say such a thing about me now." he smirked.
I struggled to keep my words coherent. "N... N-No, I ca-ohhh..."
He chuckled lowly as he mapped my wings, paying special attention to any personal sweet spots he could find as well as areas sensitive to all Seekers.
"Where... Wh-When did you l... learn how to pl-pleasure See-eee-kers?" I tried to ask in between moans and gasps as I arched into him.

"You cannot have forgotten Chromia?"
Oh yeah... A Weapons Specialist that doubled as a well skilled saboteur and one of the few Compacts to join the Autobots. Her story was quite interesting. She was Arcee's cousin, though if you saw them together you would immediately think they were sisters until you noticed Chromia's wings. Her carrier, who was of the same frame type, had been adopted by Arcee's sire's family when the had been younglings. She was Ironhide's sparkmate and Optimus and I had many great times with them. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
She disappeared in the middle of the war on a mission to infiltrate the Decepticons as a double agent to learn more of their weapons. No one has any idea what happened to her.
Or that she's much closer than anyone suspects.

But enough of the somber thoughts. What is with me and those today? Instead I shuttered my optics so I could focus completely on Optimus's ministrations. So good...
After a few minutes of the sweet, sweet touches, I felt myself about to tip over the edge, but I just couldn't. I whimpered my distress as my body shuddered, needing release but unable to break the stupid dam. Optimus chuckled before flicking both wings, sending waves of pleasure coursing through them like the epicenters of earthquakes. A cross between a scream and a moan escaped my lips as overload finally dragged me under.
Optimus massaged sensitive pressure points on my wings to draw out my release, purring all the while. I love it when he purrs...
Once the waves of pleasure had died down to a pleasant buzz in my spark, I looked up to smile drowsily at Optimus before kissing him. He growled lowly, deep in his intake as our glossas intertwined, making me smirk into the kiss. I broke the kiss to administer chaste kisses all over his face. His engine revved when I mouthed his chevron. I kissed his neck next, slowly making my way down his chassis, mouthing his hot spots, Optimus grunting and writhing a bit all the while.
I began licking his heated panel once I had reached it. Optimus groaned until it finally retracted, presenting me with his quite impressive spike. The appendage was almost the length of Arcee's forearm and just as thick. Oh, would I have some fun with that thing when I was large enough to accommodate it. But, for now, I settled for licking it teasingly, making it twitch which caused me to smirk and giggle inwardly. I don't know why, but I always found it amusing when spikes twitched like that.
Optimus couldn't take anymore when I gave the tip a chaste kiss while he watched. "Aria, please!"
My wings quivered at the desperate tone in his plea. Who could say no to that voice? So, I gave him what he wanted and took him into my mouth. It was a bit difficult, given just how thick he is, but I managed. I had a feeling he was too far gone to shift down to a smaller size, anyway. I took his choked moan and the arching of his back as confirmation of my thought.
It had been vorns upon vorns since we'd done this, and I'd missed it terribly. It wasn't hard to see he had missed it just as much. This gave me the incentive to give him my all to begin making up for lost time. Optimus writhed and moaned when I swirled my glossa around his tasty spike, which was covered in his premature transfluid. He always had tasted the sweetest, and I'd been with many bots throughout my existence.
Optimus cried out when I deep throated the member and swallowed to keep myself from choking. Isn't it just lovely how well the mouth can mimic the valve?
For several minutes, I alternated from deep throating and sucking him off, my Prime writhing and making the most lovely sounds all the while. He finally roared as overload overtook him, his back arching so high only his upper back and heel struts remained in contact with the berth. I had to rise with him to keep his spike from slipping out of my mouth. Fortunately, I had been deep throating him at that point, so I didn't have to worry about choking on the very impressive amount of transfluid from lack of practice. Like I said, vorns upon vorns since the last time we did this.
Optimus's body was shuddering from the lingering waves of bliss while I moved closer to his upper body to stroke his left audial finial. When he had finally recovered, he gave a satisfyingly sated sigh as he turned his head to gaze upon me with so much love in his optics. Such a look from him never failed to make my spark flutter.
I hummed. "Perhaps that's enough for now. One overload for you, one for me, seems fairer than one for you and two for me."
He frowned before sitting up, stroking the chest plates right above my spark. "It is arduous enough we cannot rekindle our bond this very moment. I would at least like to be the first to touch my beloved's spark."
An amused smile graced my lips. The great Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, was jealous of the jet twins. If I didn't let him have his way, Jetfire and Jetstorm would be the first to feel my spark. How sweet.
I leaned up to press a kiss to his lips. "Alright, dearspark. It's only fair the love of my existence be allowed first crack at my spark."
With that, I allowed my chest plates to split apart, revealing my multicolored spark. Being the Allspark, it contains all sparks of those not currently alive, whether they have recently offlined, are ready to be born, or somewhere in between. With so many sparks of different colors and shades, my spark is never any one color for even a quarter of a nanoklik.
Optimus narrowed his optics at my spark. "That was not there the last time I gazed upon yours and everyone else's life force."
I raised an optic ridge in question, since this was not a good vantage point for me to see my own spark.
"There is a spot of purple in the lower right corner that does not change with the rest of your spark." he told me, reaching out to touch the spot. I winced on contact.
"That is likely where the dark energon is being isolated from the rest of the unborn or resting sparks." I mused.
Optimus growled.
"He will pay for violating you in such a way."
I wanted to tell him not to say such things about Megatron. I wanted to believe he regretted doing this to me. But, how could I? Maybe it was time I stop kidding myself. Maybe everyone was right and I should just accept it.
Maybe Megatronus really was gone for good.
The very thought brought coolant to my optics. I closed them tight, but a tear escaped anyway. I felt Optimus brush it away as he caressed my cheek. I opened my eyes to look at the empathetic look he was giving me. He knew me well enough to know what was going through my processor. He knew my pain. He felt it too, after all.
He kissed me passionately, albeit gently in an attempt to take my mind off our pain. I shut my eyes again, so I could focus on the love and pleasure of the kiss as he continued to caress my cheek.
So caught up in the kiss, I was startled by the hand that brushed my spark. Optimus swallowed my whimpered gasp as he smiled into the kiss, his free hand stroking me in the most tender fashion. My spark reached out for his hand, wrapping it in tendrils of life in its purest form. I moaned and wrapped my hands around his neck, my wings trembling. I felt him shudder as he started to pant and moan into the kiss, as coming into contact with the Mother Spark is the greatest form of pleasure a cybertronian can experience. I'd forgotten that.
Optimus ravished my spark in strokes on the chamber surrounding it, direct contact in the form of caresses, and the tweaking of wires connected to the chamber while his glossa explored my cavern and tangled with my own glossa. The tendrils dipped into seams in his servo and wrist only something as small as a sewing needle ever could, Optimus groaning as circuitry rarely touched - and extremely sensitive because of it - heated under my ministrations.
I could feel us both getting close, so to ensure I wouldn't get stuck again, I extended some strands of hair to stroke his audial finials while emitting soft, pleasurable electrical pulses. He groaned loudly into my mouth as he overloaded, his spike spraying transfluid onto my abdominal plates as his hand clench my spark a little. The extra pressure pushed me over the edge as well as I cried out into his mouth.
Optimus laid us down on the berth with me on top as we came down from our highs. We were both fighting impending stasis as we looked lovingly at each other.

He wrapped his arms protectively around my back, one hand resting over the other just under my wings. "Just as magnificient as I remember." He sighed dreamily.
I sighed as well. "I think I missed you more than I had previously thought. I likely won't realize the full extent of the affects of your absence on my spark until we renew our bond."
He hummed in anticipation at the thought of reigniting our connection - and all that entailed - as I nuzzeld his chest. Nothing could compare to becoming one with the Allspark, after all. Of course, I knew it was much more than that to him. One of the things about him that made me swoon on the inside. He saw me, not a deity responsible for all life on this planet and his, just as I saw him, not the spiritual leader of the cybertronian race and Autobot army.
A smile graced my lips as I looked up to him. "I love you."
His expression at my words could only be described as pure, unadulterated bliss. "As I love you, my dearest spark."
I dragged myself upwards to kiss him one more time before we both gave in to the most peaceful power-down either of us have had in the longest time.
When I awoke, it was to an empty berth. That was nothing new. As leader of the Autobots, Optimus was often called away before I roused from my power-down. The matrix gave him the strength and energy he needed whenever the luxury of achieving a complete power-down cycle was one he could no longer afford.
What I wasn't used to was the lack of knowledge on where he was. Back on Cybertron, Optimus would always send me his location the moment he sensed my conscious presence in his spark. Obviously, he couldn't do that now, which lowered my spirits a little. Hopefully, the next few months would fly by and we could be together in every sense of the word sooner rather than later.
I got up from the berth and left Optimus's quarter to make my way to the main hangar. I could sense several sparks absent from the base, meaning some of the 'Bots were on a mission, out on patrol, or out with kids. Patrol was a given, so it was likely one of the other two as well, if not both.
I entered the hangar to see Jack speaking with his mom, Arcee, and Ratchet.
"So," June was saying as she looked around the hangar. "Where's Optimus?"
"On a scouting mission with Bumblebee." Ratchet answered her before turning to give her a dry, sarcastic look. "Sorry to disappoint."
I smirked.
"And I wore heels and everything." June said softly, but I still heard it.
My smirk withered into a thin line as I growled, my optics brightening, narrowing to slits in her direction, my hands clenching into fists and my wings flattening into a straight, horizantal line. My hair shifted to a crimson red, whipping around my helm as it crackled with pent up energy.
Few things could make me truly angry, one of them being femmes or mechs I did not approve of lusting after my Optimus. He was the same with me back when he was still Orion. Now, his anger usually never breached the surface, but it was still there.
Everyone looked up, finally noticing me. Ratchet was the first to snap out of his shock that I, of all people, growled. He moved quickly to me and grabbed my upper arms gently but firmly, avoiding my hair to keep from being electrocuted, as he tried to block my view of June.
"Soulsong, you must calm down." he said as I tried to look around his larger form at the offending human.
He jerked my face back to his with a hand on my cheek. "Don't look at her, look at me. She was only joking about Optimus. You used to be human, you are familiar with that particular phrase. Calm yourself, sparklette."
He was right, of course. I'd known it when I had first seen the episode when I was fourteen and I knew it now. I still didn't think it was funny.
Regardless, I took a few deep breaths and let them each out slowly as Arcee spoke to June.
"You'll have to excuse Soulsong. She and Optimus were together for a very long time on Cybertron before the Exodus; back when she was Spark Aria. At least, that's what Bulkhead tells me. And, if recent events are anything to go by, they are still very much together. They're both very... picky about who they swing with." She looked to Jack. "Did I use that right?"
He nodded, looking uncomfortable. I smirked at the boy's awkwardnees regarding sex, my hair fading to a blue with hints of green.
"I was only joking." June defended. "You all told me she was a human herself not so long ago. She should know I was just kidding."
"Yes, I do know that." I said, albeit a bit tightly, phasing through Ratchet to stand behind him. Did I mention I could do that, now? "I apologize for my behaviour, June. The cybertronian spark is known to be very... protective of its other half. Even I am prone to basic instinct."
They all just stared at me.
"When did you learn how to phase?" Ratchet asked incredulously. It almost sounded like horror.
I checked my chonometer. "About eight hours ago. Primus showed me several memories so I would remember how. All I have to do is loosen my atoms just enough so they can move around yours." I turned around to look at him. "Surely you remember I exercised the ability regularly when I was Aria."
Ratchet sighed in exasperation "Yes, yes I do. I did not like it then, and I doubt I'll like it now."
I smirked. I had a thing for scaring the scrap out of people with that and several other abilities of mine when I was bored.
What can I say? It was funny!
"How did you know my name?" June interrupted.
I looked down to her. "I know many things."
"Comes with the territory of being a deity." Arcee explained.
Of course, that was only partly true. But, I certainly wasn't about to tell them most of my knowledge on the current, past, and future events regarding this realm came from my watching the TV show when I was human. They would try to convince me to tell them about the future so they could change things. If movies and TV have taught me anything, it's to never mess with the past because the future consequences could turn out much worse then the original timeline.
For instance, if I had told them about Sick Mind and Out of his Head, Megatron would still be comatose or actually dead and then he wouldn't be around to help save Earth from Unicron. Earth and everything on it goes boom. Not to mention his and the rest if the Decepticons' roles in reviving Cybertron.
No, I am not about to screw with the future like that. I must think about and analyze the situation carefully if my plans are going to work in most everyone's favor. For instance, Ratchet's part had to wait until after Stronger, Faster and Optimus and Megatron's part had to wait until Optimus was Orion Pax again.
If what Primus had told me was correct, he was going to need to help me when that particular episode trilogy came about.
I was brought out if my musings by the sound of Bulkhead's engine coming fast. We all turned to watch him enter the hangar with Miko and Raf. I had no interest in this scene, so I followed Ratchet back to the monitors.
"Optimus and Bee went to Griffin Rock, didn't they?" I asked.
Ratchet turned to me with wide optics. "How did you-" he cut himself off before rolling his eyes. "Nevermind, you know many things."
I chuckled.
"I don't suppose you know what happened to their signals?" he inquired. "They just disappeared about five minutes ago, and I can't reach their commlinks."
I hummed. Clearly, this was the point in the Rescue Bots timeline with Dr. Morocco and time travel and I really didn't feel like explaining. Good thing Ratchet came to get me when he did; I had no interest in being apart of that fracas.
"It's complicated." I said. He looked at me with wary optics, so I tried to reassure him. "But, don't worry, they're both fine. I promise."
Ratchet looked relieved. Then something strange appeared on the monitors.
"That's odd." he said as he turned back to the monitors to turn a dial and press a button to enlarge the image. "This is an extremely unsual magnetic flux for any planet."
Ratchet turned around to tell Bulkhead he needed him to check out the weird flux.
"I'll go with." Miko exclaimed as she ran for the ground bridge.
"Whoa, stay put, Miko." Bulkhead warned, stopping Miko with his hand. She groaned, stomping her way back to the other humans.
"Why aren't you going with him?" June questioned.
"Someone thinks it's not safe." Miko growled, looking back at Bulkhead with a pissed expression.
"But, it's safe for Jack to go with Arcee?" she asked with slight incredulous.
"Mom," Jack cut in. "Totally different."
"Oh, how?" she asked dubiously.
"Simple." I interjected. "One will probably involve Decepticons," I gestured toward Bulkhead. "One has an extremely minute chance of it." I gestured toward Arcee. "Not to mention Jack has done this with Arcee quite a few times before you ever knew about all this."
"Oh, and who are you to judge they safety of a situation? Weren't captured by the Decepticons because you decided it would be fun to follow Bumblebee into Megatron's mind?" she glared at me.
I glared right back. "A semi-omniscient being, that's who, helicopter mom." Her jaw dropped in indignant shock. "And for your imformation, that was an accident, not to mention I was still a sparkling."
"Okay, you know what?" we all turned to Arcee. "Forget it, I'm going with Bulkhead."
"Count me in." I nodded, walking toward them. "I'm in serious need of a good flight."
I could feel Ratchet's hesitance at letting me out of the base so soon after I had just returned from being captured my the 'Cons, but he wasn't about to stop me. One of the things 'Bots would eventually learn about Spark Aria back on Cybertron? Don't mess with a pissed off Allspark incarnation.
As soon as we were through, I transformed and did some corkscrews. They always helped to calm me down. Then I noticed Miko was on the ground with the other two. Oh yeah...
I did a couple flips before landing a few feet in front of them. By that point, Miko was on Bulkhead's shoulder. "Hey, Miko."
She waved. "Hey."
"You get sick of June, too?"
She rolled her eyes. "Big time."
I nodded. "I feel ya."
I crossed my arms, as it was my preferred position, as we continued walking for awhile. Soon, we finally neared the source of the magnetic flux, the sound of battle getting louder the closer got.
Breakdown and Airachnid we're fighting each other in the valley below.
"Airachnid." Arcee growled.
"And Breakdown. Both your archenemies." Miko whispered. "And they're mashing it up."
"Over that." Bulkhead deduced, referring to the device currently in Breakdown's possession.
"So, what's the plan?" Miko asked excitedly. We all just looked at her before Bulkhead brought his hand to his shoulder for Miko to hop onto. She crossed her arms and pouted, but obliged him nonetheless.
"Miko, don't move." Bulkhead ordered when she was safely on the ground. "I mean it."
Miko moaned in disappointment.
"Soulsong, you should stay here, too." Arcee said to me. "We just got you back from the 'Cons, we can't risk you getting captured again."
"Plus, you can make sure Miko doesn't get hurt if she tries to get too close." Bulkhead added.
I shrugged, my arms still crossed. "Fine by me. I don't do battle, as I'm sure you remember, Bulk."
He nodded. "Yeah, I remember."
I nodded back. "I prefer watching, such is the deity's way."
Bulkhead chuckled. "I remember that, too. Optimus was always a nervous wreck when you did that if he wasn't the one on the battlefield. Started forcing you to always be by his or Ratchet's side whenever there was a mission."
"Optimus a nervous wreck?" Miko questioned incredulously.
"Well, as much as he could be, being a Prime and all." Bulkhead explained.
I snorted.
"Worry wort, he knows I can take care of myself. Now, you two go." I waved them away. They nodded, deploying their weapons before walking away from our hiding spot. When they were far enough away, Arcee made themselves known to their adversaries by blasting the device away from Airachnid.
They battled for awhile, and it was much cooler than it had been on TV.
"Whoa, they're really good together." Miko sighed.
"Yeah," I said. "They're like fire and water. You wouldn't thing they'd work well together when mixed, but they actually create something pretty great. 'Cause lava and water mixed together make solid land, you know, which is how many islands on this planet were formed."
Miko nodded in agreement - probably only taking in half of what I had said - before getting her phone out. "Smack down for the scrapbook."
The battle waged on as Miko snapped her pictures, until the 'Bots managed to knock their opponents into each other, away from them. They groaned as they tried to recover, Breakdown noticing the device was right next to him before picking it up and activating it.
Airachnid yelled at him about the device not being a toy before she started to run away. Arcee went after her, guns ablazing, but it was too late as Airachnid tunneled her way out, escaping.
"Hey!" Miko suddenly yelled. I looked to her, only to see her phone flying away, toward Breakdown. Uh oh.
I grabbed Miko and transformed around her before flying high into the sky, hopefully out of range of the device.
"Whoa, what's wrong?" Miko asked as she looked down to the ground.
"Oh, you'll see in a minute." was all I said.
We watched the device pull Arcee and Bulkhead toward Breakdown. When he decided they were close enough, Breakdown raised the device higher into the air, pulling Arcee and Bulkhead with up with it. He pressed a button and the polarity reversed, throwing the 'Bots back into some large boulders.
"Oooh, that had to hurt." Miko grimaced.
I grimaced as well. "Yeah. When Breakdown is far enough away, we'll go down to see if they're okay."
"Hey," Miko asked. "Did Breakdown or any of the other 'Cons hurt you when you were with them?"
I chuckled. "No, Miko. They may be Decepticons, but they're still Cybertronians. It goes against their most primal coding to harm me, as I am, for all intent and purposes, their mother."
Miko thought about this, before arching a brow. "Wouldn't that mean Optimus-"
"Don't think about it too much." I cut her off. "Mother is just the best translation. Not to mention cybertronians are a bit... looser when it comes to intimate matters than humans are. We're way less black and white about most things."
Miko nodded as we made our decent. Once I had landed, I opened my cockpit so she could climb out. I transformed and walked toward Bulkhead, not bothering to look around for Arcee.
"Bulkhead, the 'Cons are getting away." Miko said as Bulkhead came to his senses. "Hey, my phone!"
Miko tried to pull it off Bulkhead's armor in vain. "It's stuck."
Bulkhead started to get up, looking around. "Where's Arcee?"
Miko growled, fists clenched in front of her. "Why don't you just marry her?" she crossed her arms.
"I'm right behind you." Arcee's voice suddenly said.
"Where?" Bulkhead asked, now on his pedes.
"Let's just say she's got your back." Miko said, looking behind Bulkhead.
Bulkhead turned around, thinking he might have been sitting on her.
...He wasn't entirely wrong.
Arcee was stuck to Bulkhead's back. She tried to pry herself off, but failed.
"Scrap." She muttered.
And because I am me, I promtply burst out laughing, my hair turning a light turquoise and my wings trembling. Somehow, it was just so much funnier in real life than on TV.
Arcee glared at me. "This is not funny, Song."
I just laughed harder at the look on Arcee's face, having to clutch my sides from the force as I sank to my knees.
Bulkhead sighed.
"The Allspark is laughing at us." he grumbled
Arcee sighed, too.
My laughter started to die down as Bulkhead sat down on a boulder to comm Ratchet, explaining their situation.
"You've been magnetized? Together?"
Miko had been trying to pull them apart, but finally gave up with a groan. "They're inseparable."
Arcee sighed as Bulkhead added, "And the device that did this is on its way to Megatron."
"A polarity gauntlet." Ratchet mused. "A deceptively simple but diabolical creation."
"Yeah," I said, getting to my feet. "It's put them in a rather... sticky situation." My laughter started anew.
Arcee rolled her optics in exasperation. "Just tell me you can unhitch us, Ratchet."
"It may simply be a residual magnetic charge, providing your current... attraction." he answered.
"They're not attracted to each other!" Miko stomped. I giggled.
Ratchet ignored her. "But, I'm afraid retrieving the gauntlet is our surest bet for reversing its affect. Once Megatron gets his hands on the gauntlet..."
"He'll use it for a lot more than attaching notes and family photos to the fridge." Jack mused.
"Jack, I'm not following." June said warily.
I rolled my eyes. Gee, what a surprise.
"Madam, we are forged of metal alloy." Ratchet explained. "If Megatron could repel us with the flick of a switch, we might never again have another shot at him."
"Instant forcefield." said Raf.
"Worse yet," Ratchet continued. "He might use it to meld us all into a scrap pile. The good news is the gauntlet hasn't traveled far. I would strongly advise pursuit."
"We can catch up faster on wheels." Bulkhead stated as he got up, smacking his fist with his other hand as he shut down his commlink.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Arcee quickly stopped him. "And snap me in half?"
"Right... Hey, Song? Think you could separate us?" Bulkhead asked hopefully.
"I could," I replied. "But, it would take time I assume we don't have."
Arcee sighed. "She's probably right, Bulk. Let's just go. The sooner we get the gauntlet, the sooner we can stop being siamese twins."
I chuckled.
"Suh-weet!" Miko exclaimed. "I'll take point."
"Not this time, kid." Arcee shook her head.
"What?" Miko's shock quickly turned to indignant accusation. "But you said-"
"That was recon. This is war. I'm not risking your wellbeing just so you can hit your daily adrenaline quota." Arcee glared at the horizon. "Ratchet, Miko needs a bridge."
"Coming up." he replied.
Miko growled. "You think Jack's mom is bad? You sound just like her!"
"Now, Miko, that's not really fair." I cut in. "Arcee actually knows what she's talking about."
Of course, I knew perfectly well June could hear me.
"Are you implying that I don't?" June growled.
"No, I'm stating it outright." I retorted before directing my attention to Arcee and Bulkhead. "I'm going to scout ahead."
I transformed and flew off before either could answer, closing off the bond before Ratchet could scold me for what I had said. It's not like I was wrong.
I flew in the direction Breakdown had driven off. After a couple minutes, I caught sight if the gas station and oil field I remembered from the episode. I landed a few meters away before walking around the building, spotting Breakdown cocooned to the wall by Airachnid's webbing.
"Breakdown!" I exclaimed, running toward him.
His operational optic widened when he saw me before he started to struggle even harder, whatever he was trying to say muffled by the webbing on his mouth.
I saw what he was freaking out about when Airachnid raised herself from her hiding spot on the roof, gauntlet in hand.
Her optics narrowed at me. "Don't think I've ever seen you before, but, then again, you are a youngling."
I just crossed my arms, not showing any fear toward her or for my wellbeing. "And you are Airachnid, the most sadistic femme currently alive."
She smirked. "My reputation precedes me. So, are you with the 'Bots or the 'Cons? And just so you know, it really doesn't matter which." she activated the gauntlet.
"I am niether and both." I replied.
Her eyes narrowed again. "And just what is that supposed to mean?"
I ignored her question. "Tell me, what do you remember from before the war?"
"Why should that matter to you?" she hissed.
I shrugged. "Answer the question."
"I asked my question first."
"I asked mine second."
She snarled. "If you must know, I was created by the Allspark when the war was already underway."
I arched a knowing optic ridge. "Really, because I am the Allspark, and I think I would remember creating someone like you."
Airachnid's optics widened as she turned to Breakdown. "Is that true?"
I raised my hand in the direction of Breakdown, turning the webbing around his face into dust. He spit out what dust got into his mouth before looking to Airachnid.
"That proof enough for you?"
She looked back and forth between us until she finally settled on me. "You... are you saying you didn't create me?"
"I created your spark, but you were born vorns before there were even rumblings of a war." I told her. "In fact, you were actually a very good friend of mine when I was Spark Aria, at least until Shockwave got his hands on you."
"Spa-Spark Ar-Ari-Aria." Airachnid stammered, clutching her helm, optics flickering a tiny bit.
Unfortunately, Bulkhead and Arcee chose that moment to show up.
"Soulsong, get away from her!" Bulkhead yelled from a several yards behind me.
I turned to look at him, then back to Airachnid. I shrugged.
"We'll chat later." I said before transforming and flying off.
"Wait!" I heard Airachnid shout before the sound a battle drowned her out.
I reached out for Ratchet through the bond. :::Daddy, I've grown bored. Bridge me back?:::
:::Of course, sweetspark:::
A bridge opened several meters in front of me. I slowed down so I wouldn't crash into something when I entered the base. When I reached the other side of the portal, I transformed and was met with the sight of Jetfire and Jetstorm lounging on the opposite side of the hangar from Ratchet and the humans.
I headed toward them with a smile. "Hey, look who finally woke up."
They looked up to see me, a smile gracing both their faces before they greeted me at the exact same time. "Hey, Songbird."
I giggled. "Ready for round two?"
They both smirked. "You know it." said Jetstorm.
I heard June ask Ratchet, "I thought Arcee said she and Optimus are an item."
"They are." Ratchet replied. "Monogamy was as rare on Cybertron as polygamy is on your planet, and it was virtually nonexistent when it came to Seekers."
I smiled, taking both my twins' arms as we made our way to their quarters.
Aaaaand that's it for chapter 10. Hope you all liked it.
