A/N: Well, this is the conclusion my lovely readers. I'm sorry I slacked in updates for the last few chapters but I hope the waits were worth it. This is an epilogue I hope you all will enjoy. Thank you for following me in this Rizzles adventure! It was fun!

Kill & Collect (Epilogue)

2 Years Later

Jane closed her eyes as she laid back in the cushioned lawn chair in her backyard. The temperature was perfect outside as warm sun rays bathed over her tanned skin and every once in a while the scent of the ocean would waft by her nose. After a hard day at work, this was bliss.

Jane and Maura's ordeal with Hoyt seemed like ages ago. Paddy had taken them into hiding and nursed them back to health after a month or so. Within that time, Paddy had secured a new life, identity and location for the two of them to live. He placed them in a location they were sure not a single soul that ever knew anything of their past would find them… New Zealand.

Career wise, Jane was now a proud primary school gym teacher and Maura worked at a secondary school and taught epidemiology. Their new life was not nearly as exciting as dodging bullets and running from armed soldiers but they were happy.

Within a year of being in their new life, they realized they wanted to fully commit to one another and the two women got married. A signing of documents at a courthouse was nothing glamorous but a loving bond between them all the same.

Jane frowned at the slight throbbing in the left knee, a reminder of today's events at work.

"Here's your icepack," Maura said as she stepped out onto the patio and approached Jane's chair. The blonde wore cotton short-shorts and a tank top, covered by a flowing floral silk robe.

"Thanks," the brunette said, taking the ice from her wife.

Maura had a not too happy expression on her face, glancing at the brunette's leg. "I suppose this will teach you that having a bunch of six and seven-year olds jump on you like puppies is not the best of ideas."

Jane slightly rolled her eyes. "It's called a dog pile, Maura. I can't help it if my class gets excited after a good game of rippa rugby," the brunette shrugged. She placed the pack on her knee, shivering slightly at the cool temperature.

"Yes, well…" Maura bent over at the waist so she was face to face with the brunette. Their eyes connected. "I just don't like seeing you hurt," Maura slightly pouted.

Jane smirked before leaning in and placing a soft, reassuring kiss on Maura's lips. "I'm okay. This is nothing." Jane looked down and noticed Maura holding an envelope. "What's that?"

Maura stood back up and held the envelope out to Jane. "Mail for you."

"We don't get mail… unless it's bills." Jane took the envelope and examined the front and back. "There's no return address."

Maura frowned and sat in the lawn chair adjacent to Jane. "Open it."

The brunette sighed and tore open the envelope. Inside was a single piece of paper and her eyes widened when she realized who it was from. "It's a letter… from Jeremy, Korsak's son."

"Jeremy?" Maura asked, abruptly sitting up in her chair. "How… oh, my God. What does it say?"

Jane noted the date at the top of the letter. "This thing was dated two years ago."

"That's about when we got here." Maura said.

"Jane and Maura,

I hope this letter gets to you. It took me months to convince my father to attempt to get in contact with Paddy after everything. His arm has fully recovered by the way and he's been flying again. Anyway, my father said Paddy was reluctant to share your whereabouts, which I understand, but he was willing to send this one letter out to you for me. I just wanted you to know that my father and I are just fine, despite the wild ride you took us on. I'm glad we were able to help. I know you're good people. Insane… but good people nonetheless.

Also, the main reason I'm writing is to tell you that Frost…"

Jane's words trailed off as she silently read the rest of the sentence to herself. She gasped.

Maura waited with baited breath at the mention of Barry. "Jane?! Jane what is it?"

The brunette looked at Maura with tears forming in her eyes before looking back down at the letter. She continued to read…

"Frost and Anna finally picked up their truck from the airport."

Maura's mouth fell open at the words, not believing her ears. "Wha… Jane, that means…"

Jane looked up from the letter and met the blonde's gaze. "They're alive," she breathed with relief.

Maura covered her mouth in shock and disbelief but was also smiling.

Jane let out a joyful chuckle. "I knew he was a tough kid," Jane said with a proud nod of her head. She couldn't stop the tear that escaped and slid down her cheek. She brushed at her face, shaking off her emotions and continued to read.

"He told me about the craziness that happened at his home and he wanted me to pass that message on to you. I know we'll never see you again. So, wherever you are, I hope you're both happy."

Jeremy

"Jane!" Maura called out jumping out of her chair. "Isn't that so wonderful!" She enthused, hopping onto Jane's hips, straddling her.

The brunette flinched as Maura bumped her injury. "Ow, easy, easy." Jane warned.

"Oh, I'm sorry, baby." Maura said, gently cupping the brunette's cheek. "I'm just so happy they are okay."

"Me too."

"I had never forgotten them and how we had left things."

Jane sadly smiled and nodded in understanding. "Neither had I. It was one of the toughest decisions I ever had to make leaving them like that."

Maura nodded and brushed back the brunette's hair from her face. "We had no choice."

"Yeah… this is a huge relief." Jane smiled, exhaling a heavy breath.

Maura leaned in and the two of them shared a warm embrace. Jane closed her eyes and inhaled the intoxicating scent that was Maura from the blonde's neck. They remained that way for a long while, enjoying the closeness and basking in the relief that their two comrades were safe.

"I have even bigger news to share." The blonde said, leaning out of the hug.

"Bigger?" Jane asked, raising an eyebrow.

Maura nodded with a smile. "Yes."

Jane chuckled lightly. "If you can top what was in that letter I'll do the house chores for an entire month."

"Really?" Maura asked, narrowing her eyes with a smirk.

"Really," Jane confirmed.

"Okay," the blonde said looking down and taking Jane's hand in her own. She moved the hand towards her and placed the brunette's open palm over her stomach. Maura's hazel eyes moved up to meet confused brown ones. "Jane, I'd like you to say hello to our future son or daughter."

The brunette's mouth gaped open and eyes widened, not believing what her wife had just said. "What?"

Maura only smiled wider.

"Maura… you're…"

The blonde nodded. "Yes, we're having a baby."

Jane's face broke into the biggest grin Maura had ever seen. "Holy shit." The brunette breathed before pulling Maura into a tight hug. "Oh, that's so… I don't even know what to say." Jane got out. She turned her head slightly and peppered the blonde's neck with kisses.

Maura smiled brightly as they leaned back and looked into each other eyes. Her heart melted with even more love as she saw tears brimming Jane's eyes. "Oh, Jane…" she sighed, pushing back the brunette's hair.

Jane ran her hands up and down Maura's hips, shaking her head in disbelief. "When… when did you find out?"

"This morning. I wanted to wait until you came home to tell you."

Jane leaned in once more, surprising Maura by bringing her into another tight hug. The blonde chuckled at the brunette's enthusiasm.

Jane had never felt so happy in her entire life. She was going to have a family; a new and brighter future. Having Maura in her life had drastically changed her pit of loneliness, but now it was becoming full circle. Family. She'd never be alone ever again. A whimper escaped her throat as she held onto Maura for dear life.

"Jane?" Maura asked with concern. She rubbed the brunette's back with one hand and stroked the hairs at the base of Jane's neck with the other. "I knew you'd be happy but this is more than I expected."

Jane chuckled, knowing she was acting overly emotional, but she didn't care. She looked up at her wife and smiled softly. "You look so beautiful."

Maura rolled her eyes, letting out a small laugh. "Jane, you've seen this silk robe a million times and I'm barely wearing any makeup."

The brunette shook her head. "You're beautiful." She pulled Maura down for a soft kiss. It was meant to be chaste but the kiss soon grew into a passionate exploration of tongues. Jane moaned as she pushed forward, so Maura was on her back. She maneuvered her body around and hissed slightly at the pain in her knee; but it was soon forgotten when Maura cupped her ass and widened her legs so Jane could push further into her crotch.

Jane kissed further down Maura's neck and nipped at the blonde's collar bone. Maura's breath hitched as Jane licked one of her sensitive spots. "Jane…" she sighed. "We should take this inside."

"Why?" The brunette mumbled, kissing Maura's tank top covered left breast.

The blonde shivered at the action but kept her resolve intact. "Mainly, so we don't give the neighbors a show."

Jane grinned before kissing a line down Maura's stomach and then lifting up the hem of the blonde's top.

"Jane?!"

"I got it, no sex in the backyard." The brunette reassured her. "I'm just saying hi to the baby."

Maura laughed and leaned up on her elbows, looking down at Jane.

"Hi baby," Jane whispered, running her hand over Maura's flat stomach. "Um, I'm your other mommy, Jane. The one that will teach you how to play sports and get messy. Whether you're a boy or a girl, that's happening."

Maura giggled and shook her head as she watched her wife. She was amazed by Jane's complete transformation over the last couple years. The brunette had gone from a dark, lonely killer to a light-hearted, happy individual. All it took was love.

"But you'll have to put the earmuffs for a while," Jane continued. "Because I'm gonna be making your mommy scream in a few minutes."

"Jane!" Maura chuckled hitting the blonde in the shoulder.

"What? I want the kid traumatized hearing his/or her's mommies going at it."

"The baby can't hear anything yet Jane. We're far from the stage."

Jane chuckled. "I'm playing around, Maur. I know that." The brunette reached for both of Maura's hands and immediately felt the raised scar on the blonde's palm. For the longest it was just a reminder of what Hoyt did but was now seen as a symbol of survival and strength between the two of them. They could defeat anything… together. Jane leaned down and placed a tender kiss below Maura's belly button. She then slipped off the cushioned lawn chair and scooped Maura into her arms.

The blonde let out a surprised yelp and giggled. "Jane! What about your knee?" She asked wrapping her arms around the brunette's neck.

Jane stared lovingly into Maura's eyes and smiled softly. "I don't feel a thing," she whispered. Maura cupped her cheek and they shared a lingering kiss.

"Mmm." Jane hummed as their lips separated. "Except for that. I definitely felt that." Jane said as Maura smiled brightly.

She turned them towards the direction of the house. "I need you out of these clothes and in our bed, right now."

"Then what are you waiting for?" Maura seductively murmured in the brunette's ear.
