Hello ladies and gentlemen, Silver here and I have to say I'm really happy. In 7 days, this story has received 500+ views, 9 favs, and 17 follows. It completely blew past my other 2 stories. I have a lot to say, but I'll keep this brief. I am going to upload 1 chapter every week as fast as I can. I always get sidetracked, busy with family, busy with friends, busy with homework, and needed time to relax. If I'm not uploading I'll inform you guys so you guys don't have to panic. Anyway, someone in the reviews got a close guess on how the story was going to progress so you guys can expect what the future chapters going to head to. Normally I have a bunch of stuff to ramble about, but I'm just too happy to say anything else. Enough of this, lets get on with the chapter.
Chapter 3: The Test and Beginning of a Team- Pt 2
Holding out hordes of Beowolves back with Ursas here and there is not easy when you kill 1 Grimm every 5 minutes. Waves and waves of them just kept coming. After maybe like 20 minutes we cleared out at least half the horde that was after us. I gained 2 levels and leveled up Sword Mastery by 2 levels, Aura Bullets once, Aura Jump with Flash Step 3 times, and Aura Armor once. My health was extremely low, at red zone with my vision going black a few times. It was taxing on me because I never fought like this at all. My body was extremely sore and my vision was not clearing up. Cinder had a lot of stamina, but she too was breathing hard. Emerald had her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath while Mercury took his turn on the offense while we rest. A few minutes after we got tired we came up with a system that 1 of us will hold them back while the others rest. We took turns doing this so some of us will have more rest then others. Suddenly explosions sounded out from the other side. I look over to see Ruby and Yang pushing through while Jaune and Pyrrha shield the others from incoming strikes while they were occupied. Nora was firing grenades after grenades at the Beowolves. Ren was with Blake eliminating them quickly trying not to take a hit. Weiss, however I didn't see until she dropped right in my face. Trying to lighten up the mood I said, "Still dropping from the skies, Snow Angel?"
"Shut up, Commoner, I'm trying to get you and your friend's ass away from all the chaos." She replies with a light blush. She then puts Glyphs under us and we took air. We landed on the outskirts of the battle and I took the chance to lie down onto the grassy floor of the forest. By the time I get back up, the others were finishing up the battle. After they finished I asked Ruby, "How did you know we needed help so quick? I thought it would take longer for you guys to get here."
"Oh, I was up on the cliffs when I saw you guys fighting the horde of Grimms and we ran to you guys a quick as possible." She replies with a grin. I grinned at her this time, "Took you hella long just to get here. Do you know how tiring it is to hold out about 30 Beowolves for 20 minutes?"
"Yep, I do. I've been fighting them since I started learning to fight as a Huntress!" She replies with a smile. "That's not normal for a girl of her age.' I thought. We climbed up the damn cliff, despite the protest of my body, and found Ozpin waiting there with Goodwitch and Cardin's team. "Took you long enough. Now we can proceed to the ceremonies of the creation of the new teams." Ozpin informs us as he sips his coffee. Oh how lucky he is, if he wasn't stronger than me he would be fertilizer for the forest right now.
The teams were exactly the same, with me being in the villain team and its leader, this is going to be a long 4 years. "Before we all leave, I have good news for this school. From this day on, Beacon has reestablished the Clan System. It is made of 2 to 5 teams. The Clan will have privileges depending on your year here at Beacon and your hunter rank. In order to get more privileges you need to challenge other clans in battle. The 2 offers must be of equal value that both teams agree on or you can just spend your money to do whatever you need to do. I will form the first 2 Clan which will consist of these 1st year students. Team RWBY, Team JNPR you will make the first Clan. Team CRDL, Team SCEM (Scream) you make the other Clan. Your Clan house has been added to your map of Beacon. Welcome to Beacon, Hunter and Huntress-in-Training. You are to choose a Clan Leader by tomorrow. Dismissed."
Holy Mother of Gods, I wasn't expecting things like Clans. I read a few Fanfics about it, but I didn't expect it to be real. Leading my team besides Team CRDL we reached our sleeping quarters which can be called a house, a rundown house. Team CRDL just started complaining while my team just walked right in. On the door's right side where the doorknob would be was a screen.

The rest of my team did the same with CRDL just lumbering behind them. To tell you the truth, the place isn't that bad. There were 2 large bedrooms with 4 guest rooms on the 2nd floor. The large bedrooms had 4 beds in each one with plenty of room left for decorations. Inside also were 2 closets and 4 drawers. Not bad I guess, thou I wonder why they didn't fix the large house up. The guest rooms were smaller and contained 2 beds each and 1 drawer. Farther down the hall were 2 bathrooms. Downstairs on the 1st floor was a kitchen with a big living room and a normal sized dining room. The house itself was dusty and easy to clean so it wasn't a problem. Suddenly Cardin called us over.
"OK, I'm going to keep this simple. I'm the Clan leader and that's that. NO questions of any kind or else." He says with a snare at all of us. I didn't want someone like that to lead us, but knowing him from the series he's going to put some strings for it to happen. "OK sure, my team has no problem with that." I said, "However, I'm in charge of the Clans business like incomes, food, and fixing the house up." 2 of us can play that game. I'm not going to let your foolishness be the downfall of everyone. Cardin only snorted and said, "Whatever, I will leave that up to you then."
'SUCKER!' I mentally yell. "Ok, first order of business is sleeping arrangements. We can't have guys and girls sharing the same room. Since we have only 2 females here, they can use the guest room upstairs. Team CRDL can take one of the big bedrooms, while I and Mercury here can take another guest room. Sound ok?" I ask Cardin.
"I have no problem, just stay out of my way and listen to my orders, losers." He says as he goes upstairs. 'You can call me a loser right now, but once tomorrow starts, you'll be the loser.' I thought evilly. "What are you planning?" Cinder asks me.
"Yeah, you just went and gave ourselves to an brainless idiot." Emerald said, talking for the first time.
"Our team leader sure is sneaky." Mercury said, putting in his opinion.
"He's playing right into my hands. That's all you need to know." I replied as if it was nothing big. The rest of the team didn't ask for me to explain as they also went upstairs. I decided to check out the rest of the house before I get my bedroom ready. There was a really dark basement and a really dusty attic. There was also a front yard and a backyard leading into a forest. Suddenly my scroll rang. I took it out to see an unknown caller. I pressed on accept and talked.
"Hello, who is this?"
"Hey, it's me Yang, what's the living condition of your place? Mine is just a rundown house."
She gave me the same living conditions as our Clan was living in and I had to ask, "Why the hell do you have my scroll number?"
"Oh, I just pulled some strings to get it."
"By pulling do you mean hunting down certain students and then beat the information out of them?"
"You make me sound so violent, Silver." I could already imagine the pout she has on her face.
"Anyway, now that you called, I got stuff you might want to get ready for. I'm going to make Cardin challenge you guys. He's playing right into my hands right now. Just get ready. See ya in the morning."
"Wait, what do yo…" I cut her sentence off by ending the call and put my scroll back in my pocket. Looking at the time, which was around 7 o clock. I walk back inside to find Cardin's team already settling in. Dove and Russell were wrestling around on the ground while Cardin and Sky just sat on the couches. I went upstairs to find Mercury had picked the guest room right next to the girls'. I went in to see nothing changed inside, only that 1 of the drawers were filled and a bookcase near his bed filled with comics. I went to the remaining drawer and took out my spare clothes slowly out of my inventory along with my suitcase. Luckily, Mercury was too busy with a comic book to see it happen. I took out my toothbrush and my cup and went to one of the bathroom. I put my stuff in there and then went back in my room, found some paper that just happens to be there and wrote, BOY and GIRL on 2 of them. I took some tape and went back to the bathrooms. I put the signs up to separate the bathroom situation. No need for the girls to be exposed to us, even thou I know some of us want to see badly, Cough Cardin Cough. I went downstairs to find everyone there.
"You 2, start cooking some food for dinner." Cardin ordered Cinder and Emerald. Cinder looked ready to roast him alive for food while Emerald just looks like she wanted to slice him up after putting bullets in him. I took the chance to get in the conversation before anything happened.
"I can cook, so I'll cook. I hardly doubt you or your team can cook along with Mercury." I said. Cardin didn't say anything, but growl and nodded at me. I went into the kitchen and found a few meat and greens here and there. I took out some chicken and some other meats with a few greens like onions. I found where they stored the rice and started to cook chicken fried rice. Living by yourself in the other world has their advantages. By the time I was done, Cardin and the others were waiting in the dining room. I gave each of them a plate. "There are still some more in the kitchen if you want seconds." I told them as I sat down to eat. Mercury just dug in while everyone else was just wary of it. Not noticing, I just ate the food. Emerald was the first one to give in and started eating. After the first bite, she froze and had a shocked expression. Cardin looked at her then me, "You didn't kill her, did you?"
"Nope, I'm pretty sure she's alright." I replied. As soon as I said that she took her plate and just started to stuff her face. The rest of CRDL followed suit and they all were stuffing their face. Mercury was already getting seconds. Cinder was the only one who didn't eat yet. Suddenly she started to burn the food. She put it out after a few seconds and said, "I like my food burnt." That's just weird. The rest of the night was peaceful after that.
By the time I had cleaned up the dishes and washed them, it was 9:43. Deciding to train a bit more I went into the forest and messed around with my ability.

I looked at my stats. Strength determines the damage I deal and how strong I am. Speed decides how fast I am. Endurance helps me reduce damage and pain taken along with how much stamina I have. How hidden I am depends on Stealth. Intelligence obviously determines how smart I am and Wisdom tells me how to use the intelligence. Intelligence allows me more Aura and Wisdom helps me control the Aura. Agility looks over my reflex, reaction time, and how flexible I am. I definitely need to put some in Intelligence along with Wisdom. I put 10 in both Wisdom and Intelligence, leaving me with 10 points left. Agility, Stealth, and Speed is what my class is about so I put 3 in each of them. With 1 point left I had to decide which was more important, Strength or Endurance. After a 5 minute internal debate I went with Endurance. If I take less damage, the more I survive and the more I survive the more chance to increase Strength. My final stats looked like this:

I dismissed the message mentally and got up to get ready for class. The first class was Grimm Studies. I had that along with Team Rwby and Team JNPR. Good, my plan can take course soon enough. When I got back with my uniform on, Mercury was still asleep.
"Hey Mercury, wake up. School's starting." I said to him.
"Give me 5 more minutes." He mumbled. I then remember Emerald and Mercury were quite close so I decided to use a nasty trick.
"If you don't wake up, I'll take Emerald to my bed have my way with her." I whispered in his ear.
"I'M UP!" he screamed as he got up. His face was priceless as if he had seen the most disturbing thing ever. "So, you like Emerald huh?" I asked with a grin. Mercury didn't answer. He just walked towards the bathroom, muttering no doubt death threats for the teasing. Deciding now would be a good time to cook breakfast; I took out some eggs to fry. While that was happening, I put the toast in the toaster and took out some Spam at the same time. After the eggs were done, I stated to fry the Spam too. When my team was down, the breakfast sandwiches were done. Without waking up Team CRDL, we walked towards the school while eating.
When we arrived, both teams were not there. A bunch of students here and there, are there no assign seats? I took one where I know would end me up on the left of Jaune I waited till the bell rang for 1st class. Team Rwby and Jnpr barely made it inside. Professor port began his speech.
"Monster! Demons! Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!
Everyone was silent as was I. The professor continued his speech. It was pretty much the same one from the series so I didn't pay attention. It was when Port asked for some to show their skills as a hunter I pay attention and raised my hand.
"Ah, Mr. Tsuki, will you get your weapon and get up front please. I took out Night Fang and went up. The professor held up his weapon and it was raised above the lock on the cage. I nodded and he unleashed a Boarbatusk came rushing out. I rolled to the side and used observe.
Boarbatusk Lv: 10
The pig like Grimm. It charges at you like a bull. If you take the charge head on, significant damage is taken. Other attacks include a high speed spin attack. It has no armor under its belly.
Quickly coming up with a plan I allowed the Boarbatusk get up and let it charge at me. I took the Nigh Fang, sheath and all without taking the blade out, and blocked the Grimm by the tusk. I then used its own momentum against itself and launched it in the air. I put Aura in my hand, drew the sword quickly and slashed at the belly in a wide arc. Afterwards I pull my arm back and stabbed forward, piercing the Grimm's stomach. The Grimm dispersed as I put Night Fang back in the sheath.
"Wonderful, it seems we are in the presence of a true Hunter-in-Training. Unfortunately, we only have time for only one demonstration. Class dismissed. Stay vigilant!"
I was outside of class when I see Weiss storm by. Ruby ran after her. So, the Weiss Temper problem is still in this history. Poor me.
"Go ahead of me. I'll catch up later." I told my team. They didn't answer, but nodded and walked away. I walked towards where the 2 went and found Ozpin walking up to Ruby. If he's here that means it's up to me to talk to Weiss. Damn you Ozpin! I never really like Weiss in the series and I don't need that attitude when I'm going to be near her for the next 4 years. I walked farther down to find Weiss about to talk to Professor Port. I intercepted before she could move. I walked up to her.
"What do you want, Commoner?" She asked, clearly pissed off.
"Nothing, just wanted to talk." Before I could say another sentence she interrupted me. "If you want to ask me on a date or anything like that, the answer is no."
I then just bust out laughing right there. I clutched my stomach since it hurts from laughing. "WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT?" she yells.
"I'm laughing at you. Now why would you assume I wanted to ask about that?" I ask, "Did you want me to ask you?"
Weiss's face turned red, "N-No! Boys always asked me because of my beauty so that's why I assumed that." She answers.
"Beauty huh? That's not what I'm seeing right now. Right now all I see is a spoiled brat." I answered in a neutral tone. "WHAT? H-How dare you, you Commoner!" She yelled.
I grabbed both her hands by the wrist and pined her arms above her head. "W-Wh-What are you doing?! Let me go!" Weiss screamed. I moved my face closer to her. Her face lights up red and she keeps muttering, "I'm not ready, I'm not ready for this." I stop 2 inches from her face. "What I'm saying is that right now you are a spoiled brat that gets whatever she wants by using this immature attitude. You're just mad you didn't get chosen as leader for Team Rwby. Right now, it's not only about you. You are in a team, it's about them, people you fight with, people you trust, people that watches your back and protects your life." I let her go after that. "Don't try to be the best leader, but the best person you can be. You take everything for granted, but once it's gone, you'll truly realize what you've lost." I walked to my next class after that. Man I bet I sound so badass right there. Thou, I hope I did not get Weiss to fall in love with me. That tends to happen in animes a lot.
It was after the final class I approached Cardin. "Hey Cardin. Clan matters!" I shouted. He grunts and then walks over. "What do you want Tsuki." He asks with a snarl.
"Ok, I was thinking about getting a third team in our clan." My team and his suddenly had their attention at me. "I want us to challenge Team Rwby and Jnpr. From the information I gathered, they all suck at playing Chess. So if we challenge Jaune, who sucks the most at Chess, to a battle for a team, we can get a third one. We offer me team, Scem, for their team Jnpr. That sounds fair and it is equal value. I'm pretty good at Chess myself so we send me in against Jaune." I lied, trying to convince Cardin.
After a few painful minutes, he said, "Alright, but we better win this." I had already informed them about Cardin challenging them during lunch and explained my plan to them. If this works, I can get off this Clan and join Ruby and the others. We spotted them at the lunchroom and walked towards them. They saw us and stared. "We want to challenge you guys." Cardin said. Now the entire lunchroom hears this and listens in. "Tsuki explain."
"Gladly. So, we would like to challenge Jaune in a game of Chess. His opponent is me. The wager is teams. If we lose, my team Scem would join your clan and leave this one, however, if you lose we get Team Jnpr. The rules are simple as it is Chess. I assume you know how to play Jaune?" I explained.
"Yeah, I know how to play." He responds. The others were trying hard to not grin as they know already what was going to happen.
"Good, meet you here in half an hour if you agree to this." I said as I held out my hand. Jaune takes it and says, "Deal."
When half an hour comes, I had the Chess board set up. All 4 teams were there to watch along with quite an audience. The rumors of us challenging Ruby and the others spread fast. I took the black side, while Jaune gets the first move with the white pieces. The match lasted about 20 minutes. I had only 2 pawns, 1 knight, 1 rook, and my king left. Jaune had a knight, 1 pawn, a bishop, a rook, and his king. Suddenly, Jaune moves his Bishop and says, "Checkmate." And pretty sure enough, I had lost. "What!?" Cardin screams. My teammates gave me looks of 'I know what you did.' "On the other hand, they were cheering. Jaune however, decided it would be smart to say, "The plan worked." out loud. Cardin looked at him and said, "Plan? What plan? That means you knew this was going to happen!"
Sighing, I got up and walked over to Ruby and the others. "What they mean, is that we, Scem is not in your clan anymore due to you playing in my hands." I said in a nonchalant tone.
"What is the meaning of this?" He snares angrily at me.
"What this means is that I had no intension of being in your clan. I had planned this out and you played right into it. Why did you think I agreed to you being the Clan Leader so easily without consulting my team? If I had become the Clan Leader, I wouldn't be able on be on Ruby's Clan even if I managed to dump you off to another Clan."
"That is against the rules! You aren't allowed to control the game." Cardin yells as he tries to get us back. Keyword: Tried.
"Nope, Ozpin didn't exactly say how the challenge goes, meaning the results can be controlled. He also didn't state we couldn't do this. I knew you wouldn't want to lose us just because we want to quit." I countered.
Several students had their scrolls out and were recording this. Good, if Cardin decides to lie, we got our evidence. "See ya around buddy, but me and my team got to pack and move to our new clan." I said in a mocking tone as I left.
When we got to Ruby's clan house, they were waiting for us. "Nice show you put on out there. You sounded like a detective." Ren say as we go in.
"I took acting class before, so if I needed to lie or anything, I pretty much can act out what matches with the given situation." I replied.
"So any reason why you wanted to be in my dear little sis's clan? Wanted to follow someone you like?" Yang said, trying to tease me.
"No reason other than trying to stick with people I know. Plus I don't want to be led by an imbecile that has an IQ lower than a 5 year old kid that can't count up to 3." I replied, completely nullifying her teasing statement.
"Well, anyway, why don't we welcome Team Scem to our Clan?" Weiss says trying to sound professional and… nice? Well, looks like the talk between us gotten through to her.
"Let's have a party!" Nora suddenly yelled.
"Yeah, we'll have lots of cookies!" Ruby cheered.
"No, we have Renny make pancakes!" Nora countered.
"No, COOKIES!" Ruby whined.
"PANCAKES!" Nora also yelled and whined equally as loud.
"How about we don't have a party? I'm sure my team is tired because I know I am." I suggested, trying to stop the argument before a war happens between cookies and pancakes.
"Silver is right, we need to rest for tomorrow. If I remember correctly, we have Combat class with Professor Goodwitch." Pyrrha agrees.
"So what's the sleeping arrangement?" I ask.
"Oh both bed bedrooms are taken, Team Rwby in one, and Team Jnpr in another." Ruby explains.
"Doesn't Team Jnpr contain 2 males and 2 females?" I ask again.
"Yeah, why?" Jaune clearly confused.
I face palmed at that. "You were supposed to separate the Males and the Females. I bet you even let them share a bathroom." I stated. Both teams, besides Yang, Nora, Ren, and Jaune, blushed at that statement. "OK, this is what we're going to do. I'll be the manager of the clan seeing as how none of you are responsible, care enough, or too lazy to do anything about this. Who's the Clan Leader?"
"Me." Ruby raised her hand.
"Ok, first thing is, sleeping arrangements. Team Ruby you keep your room. Ren, Jaune, pack your things, you guys are taking one of the guest rooms. Emerald, Cinder, you take their place in that room. Mercury and I will take another guest room. Now, about food, we're going to need to get a week worth of food each week. Ren, I'm putting you in charge of that, as you are more responsible than the rest of us besides me. Anyone here knows how to cook without, burning, destroying, and exploding the kitchen?"
This time Ren and Jaune raised their hands. "Seriously, none of you girls know how to cook? Oh well, Jaune and me are the cooks than. I'm going to guess none of you people know how to clean also beside Ren, Jaune, and me." There was no objection to this fact. "Cleaning is up to the guys then. Now income of Lien, we need to take jobs to get a steady income for food and fixing this hunk of junk up. We can't just keep challenging other clans. The only other clan that existed, now disbanded, was Cardin's, but now that it's gone, most of the other clans are teams of people that have more experience here. So it's going to be a bad idea to challenge any of them. Since you girls got nothing to do, you guys are going to be the ones to find a job. Of course, the guys here will too, but after we clean this place. If what Yang told me yesterday is true, then there should be a basement and attic. I also need to plan out what I'm going to do with those two places. We'll start everything from cleaning and finding jobs this weekend. Good enough?"
"Yep, we're fine with that." Ruby said. The rest only nodded.

Hey guys, this is chapter 3. I did a good amount of dialogue. I'm not much good with interactions between characters because this is pretty much the first time I did anything like this. Also, next week I'm not going to upload a chapter due to a project and a big essay I need to do for school. This counts a lot for my grade so sorry. Anyway, the talking between the characters will be awkward until I improve on that part. Not much happened in this chapter, but in the next chapter, something unexpected will happen, well maybe 2 unexpected things. I'll have to see how it will turn out first. One thing I'm definitely proud of is getting 500 views in 7 days. Not bad. Oh, by the way, in the future, like maybe in 2 months or so, I'm going to edit the chapters to turn it form a newbie work to something that actually looks like it was written by someone with experience. I'll tell you when and what I edited from which chapters. That's pretty much it. This is Silver, see ya all next time!
