Now on to the chapter!

Confrontation

The Professor looked at Kurt with surprised eyes. He knew the man Kurt was talking about, but he hopped his name would never be mentioned again. The Professor then spoke in a tone that only Kurt's sensitive ears could pick up.

"Colonel William Stryker was a military scientist, connected to the weapon X program. He was killed in combat operations in Afghanistan." The Professor answered Kurt's inquiry.

"Veapon X? You mean the guys that gave Logan his claws?" Kurt asked.

"Yes, Stryker was the main financer of the program." The Professor told Kurt.

"Zat's not all, is it? Zere is somezing else, isn't zere?" Kurt questioned.

"Yes, a few years ago, before even Scott was at the school, Colonel Stryker arrived with his son, asking me to help him with his mutant abilities. However, Stryker wanted me to cure his son, not help him. I told him that mutation cannot be cured, and he grabbed his son and barged out. That was the last I saw of him, until his name was mentioned on the casualty reports on the news." The Professor finished.

"Vhat could his son do?" Kurt asked.

"Kurt, what did Magneto tell you?" The Professor asked.

"Zat my friend, Jason, is Villiam Stryker's son. That he has been creating a reality in which I am accepted with no challenge. That he is a very powerful telepath. Please Professor. Vhat could Stryker's son do?" Kurt pleaded with Xavier now.

The Professor looked at Kurt with a mixture of sadness and concern. He finally relented.

"He was a telepath who could create illusions, and control other people." The Professor told Kurt.

"Zen it's…"

"Jason! Hi, how are you?" Kurt heard behind him, he turned and saw Kitty greeting Jason.

Kurt's breath caught in his throat.

"I'm fine, I just came over to see if Kurt is alright after that fire." Jason told Kitty.

"Fire?! What fire, Kurt?!" Kitty turned in Kurt's direction.

"Oh, it, it vas nozing. Just some small flames, no big deal." Kurt told Kitty.

"No big deal?! This kid saved a little girl who was trapped in her room from certain death, and he says 'no big deal'." Jason said, as he walked towards Kurt, and put his arm around Kurt's shoulder.

When Jason did this, Kurt glanced back at the Professor, who was staring at the back of Jason's head. Kurt knew that the Professor was searching through Jason's mind, to see if he was who Kurt and Magneto claimed.

Suddenly, Xavier heard a voice in his head.

You know, it's very rude to poke around people's minds without their permission.

The Professor then cried out in pain.

"Professor!" Jean said in shock.

"What's going on?!" Scott joined Jean and ran over to the Professor.

Kurt looked at Jason in anger.

"Jason! Cut it out! Cut it out right now!" Kurt grabbed onto Jason.

Kurt, this isn't how I wanted things to be.

"Get out of my head! Leave us alone!" Kurt then threw Jason across the room, but he disappeared. "Vhat?" Suddenly Kurt was hit in the head with a vase from behind, knocking him out.

"Hey!" Scott shouted out.

Jason picked Kurt up, and put him over his shoulders.

"Put him down! Now!" Kitty shouted from behind.

"I'm sorry; I just need to borrow him for a bit." Jason told her.

Kitty then lunged at Jason, but Jason projected and image of a snake about to bite Kitty, Kitty phased through the 'snake, but then phased through Kurt and Jason. Kitty fell on the floor, did a flip and landed on top of Scott. Jason chuckled.

"Well, that was fun. I think we should be going now." Jason then used his telepathy to tell Kurt to teleport them across town. They disappeared in a BAMF.

"No! Kurt!" Kitty screamed.

Jean helped the Professor recover from his attack.

"Quick Professor! Jason took Kurt! Use cerebro, try to find them!

"Wait Kitty, the Professor is still recovering." Jean told Kitty.

"That kid could be doing terrible things to Kurt at this very second! The sooner we find them, the…"

"Kitty." The Professor spoke up, "I will do everything in my power to find them. Come with me."

The Professor took Kitty's hand to calm her, and they both went to the elevator to go to the lower levels.

"Scott," The Professor addressed the field leader of the X-men. "gather the rest of the team. Tell them to search everywhere within a two mile radius. They could not have gotten far."

Angel stood on the rooftop of the Daily Bugle, monitoring the city of New York. It was a quiet night, not that Angel was complaining, but he did with something interesting would happen. Suddenly, Angel heard a weird noise coming from the docks nearby. With his binoculars, Angel saw the familiar sight of Kurt's teleportation smoke.

"Kurt? Teleporting from here to Bayville? That would take a lot of energy." Angel said to himself. Wanting someone to talk to, Angel flew down to where he saw the smoke cloud, but saw no one there.

"Kurt?" Angel asked. "Are you here?" Suddenly, Angel heard a car crash occurring at the intersection not far away. He heard people cry for help. Angel ran to pick up speed and took off to the sight of the accident.

Inside one of the abandoned warehouses by the docks, Jason locked the door.

"That ought to keep him busy. We don't want to be interrupted do we, my fuzzy elf?" Jason looked at the knocked out blue mutant he had tied to a chair. "So, shall we get started?"

Wow, that took on a mind of its own! What did you guys think? Did you cringe, did you cry, or are you wondering what's going to happen next? Review and tell me! Please. Thanks for reading!
