A/N: So, here is the next chapter of The Digital Journey. I hope you all enjoy… this time, it's solely focused on the Digidestined for a few chapters.

The Power Rangers ran into two Monochromon that were fighting for territory. However, they decided to finally take a rest stop at Dragon Eye Lake. Adam and Rocky have a little dispute. However, Seadramon reappears and tries to destroy the rangers. Gabumon saves Adam by digivolving into Garurumon. Talk about almost death right there…

Adventure 04: Red Flames of Birdramon!
(Aisha's POV)
I never expected my hair to be so dirty from walking earlier today day. Granted I did take somewhat of a dip in Dragon Eye Lake before we headed away from the area. It was quick, though. I didn't want to die after Seadramon almost wiped us out. Thank God for Adam and Garurumon.
WHOOOSH!
I stopped walking for a second. We were somewhere in the forest, heading north… if that is the direction we were still going. But, I swore I heard something near us. It was a grinding, whirlwind-like sound.
"So, what is going on?" I asked the group, "Did you hear that?"
"I did," said Rocky, "Didn't seem to be friendly."
"Everyone, stay alert," said Tommy, looking around, "I don't like the looks of this."
They then turned around. A black gear was floating across the sky.
"A gear?" asked Billy, "It's definitely bringing my theory that we weren't brought here by Rita or Zedd."
"Doubt it, Billy. Sure enough those two are probably blowing up Angel Grove right now," said Kim, "And we still can't get back home."
"Well," said Biyomon, "We'll be here to help out!"
"We also need to find some Digimon that maybe have access to getting us back to Earth," said Adam, "Someone intelligent."
"HEY!" said Biyomon, darting her eyes at Adam, "Are you trying to say that Digimon are not intelligent? I've never felt so insulted in my life."
"Calm down," I said, "Adam basically said that we need to find a Digimon that knows about how to get back to the real world. That's all. He wasn't calling any of you dumb. Trust me, we've seen dumb!"
"Yeah, like Bulk and Skull," said Rocky, snickering.
"Bulk?" asked Agumon.
"Skull?" asked Palmon, looking at the group.
Kim shook her head, "It's a long story Palmon."
"Well, let's keep moving," said Tommy.
Without saying a word, I placed my foot forward and walked with the group. As we continue our walk, I noticed that the sun was getting brighter and the trees started to disappear.
"Nice," said Kim, "I should have brought sunscreen!"
Tanya nodded, "But this isn't just any normal field up ahead."
There was a wooden sign that was posted on the right hand sign. In white letters it said, "Gear Savannah".
"Gear Savannah?" asked Tanya, "Well, that explains the temperature."
It was nothing but desolate grassland with heat bearing down from the sun's rays. There was a big mountain to the right covered with trees and there was nothing but telephone poles that stood on either side of the area. For the past two hours, we were all melting from the sweat. Bottom line, it felt like the time Kim told me about when she first became a Power Ranger. She and the other rangers were walking from the Command Center to Angel Grove. I understand where she's coming from now. However, this was ten times worse than compared to where she was.
"Ugh… this heat," said Kim, "I can't take it anymore."
"This heat is melting my leaves," said Palmon, putting her head down.
"Agreed," I said.
Rocky nodded as he looked at the others, "Wish we could teleport."
As he went to stumble, Adam grabbed him by the shoulder. Rocky turned around as he started to breathe a little bit. I almost had a heart attack. I mean, Rocky has awesome stamina, but then again, I don't know how anyone can withstand this heat, especially us.
"You okay?" asked Adam.
"I'll be fine," said Rocky.
Tommy, who stood in front of them, took out a set of binoculars. Tommy placed the binoculars, seeing something. He smiled as he turned around, "Well, unless there's a mirage up ahead, there is a village!"
"Village?" asked Tanya, "VILLAGE?!"
"Village?" asked Kim.
"SWEET! WE NEED WATER!" said Gomamon.
"Amazing. Maybe we can get some information… and hopefully not another trap waiting to happen," said Billy.
"Good," said Adam, "One step closer towards going home."
As we continued walking toward the village, we stopped to see the black gear. Looking at the gear, it darted straight into a mountain to their right. I was intrigued as I saw it.
"Aisha, everything okay?" asked Biyomon, looking up at me. I nodded, looking at her with a smile.
"I'm okay," I said, walking with the rest of the rangers. I guess I was okay. I'm not sure how but I have a feeling that this might be the worse mistake we've ever made. But, then again, with every direction we have hit in this world, it doesn't seem that we, ourselves will always get into some sort of trouble. But, even being through this place, I hope to get out of this tropical paradise. In my head, I heard a loud roar in that mountain, which then definitely told me that we needed to leave as soon as possible.
An hour later…
"We made it!" said Rocky, slamming his body on to the desert floor.
Kim looked around. All of the villages were brown buildings with roofs made out of hay. I was looking around too, seeing where everything is. I looked up, seeing a stone like well. Running up to the well, I could see the water rushing through.
"Water?" asked Biyomon.
"Yeah!" I said, "Hey, guys!"
Suddenly, we saw tons of pink bubbles come out toward me. Looking up, Biyomon released a green flame tornado. Explosions occurred. The team looked at me as I was scared out of my mind. Immediately, my heart almost stopped as I saw a flood of pink Digimon with blue flowers on top.
"Yokomon!" I said, looking at Biyomon, "Your family?"
"Nope," said Biyomon, "But, I know this place looks familiar! This is the Yokomon Village of Gear Savanna!"
"Yokomon Village?"
"Yeah!" said Biyomon.
One of the Yokomon looked up at Biyomon with a smile, "Biyomon, you look so awesome. I wish we could all digivolve like that. How were you able to get to that stage?"
"Simple. With the help of Aisha, who is pretty awesome. When she was in trouble, I digivolved to protect her from danger!" she said.
The Yokomon turned to me. I grinned a little bit. Yeah, I guess Biyomon protecting me was the greatest thing ever. But, at the same time, I wish I could morph into the Yellow Ranger and defend myself. It is hard enough as it was difficult to not say to Biyomon that I do not need her help. But, at the same time it did make sense. Let's roll back.
They all digivolved from their previous state to protect us from Kuwagamon's wrath. Next, when Shellmon attacked Rocky, Agumon digivolved to Greymon. Same thing with Adam when he was attacked by Seadramon. Hence, Gabumon digivolved into Garurumon.
Based on my experience, I wonder if Biyomon will be able to digivolve again. She seems to be an awesome Digimon. I guess I still have to get used to the fact that I will need her to get through this place. Without my Power Morpher, this is probably going to be the hardest journey.
"So," said one of the Yokomon, "How did you meet Aisha?"
"She and her friends basically fell out of the sky and landed in our world. We have been friends ever since and only been here for two straight days. We have faced perilous adventures over the past 48 hours. Hopefully, we can have a peaceful day for a change," said Biyomon, "Ain't that right, Aisha?"
I looked up and nodded, "Yeah, definitely!"
Meanwhile…
Up in the mountains, there was a loud roar. The roar could be identified as a creature being harmfully injured by an item that was drilled into its body. It echoed throughout the whole area. All he could hear was the sound of his voice.
"Burning… Burning… Must Burn Everything!"
His bright blue eyes began to shine in his area as he eyed the Yokomon Village, ready to burn it down to the ground.
(Aisha's POV)
Back to the Yokomon Village, it was obvious that we were invited to have dinner with the other Yokomon. It's better than having berries that could poison our bodies. So, we decided to spend the night here at Yokomon Village. However, the first thing we needed was water. Tommy and Kim were already at the fountain, ready to fill up the water buckets.
"This isn't bad!" said Tommy, "I feel like this could feel like home."
"Tommy, remember we are still in the Digital World," said Kim, "Even though the water is…"
She then went to grab the rope. She saw black burnt marks on the rope, "Real."
Rocky, who was observing, walked over toward them, "May I ask what's going on?"
"Simple. Who burnt the rope?" asked Kim.
Rocky looked over the edge, seeing the bucket falling. It was then followed by a massive eruption of flames that were boiling out of the well.
"GET DOWN!" yelled Rocky.
Kim screamed as Rocky tackled her down. Before Tommy could say anything, a massive eruption occurred. All I saw was fire and smoke come out.
"The water must have evaporated," said one of the Yokomon.
"Impossible. We get our source from the lake over there!" said the other Yokomon.
Rocky carefully got up and brushed the dirt off of his pants, "I'm going to check."
Immediately, we all decided to follow Rocky. As we rushed toward where the lake was, we all stopped. The lake was dry as a rock and the only thing that was there was a boat that crashed on one side.
"The whole lake is dry?" asked Gomamon, "Impossible."
"That's what I was going to say," said Tanya.
"Well, this definitely brings a new spark in our adventure!" said Kim.
"Hold it," said Adam, looking at the group, "Could this be related to the black gear we saw earlier today?"
"Now that you mention it," I said, "It go right to the mountain."
"Mount Panorama or Mihirashi Mountain as we call it, is where we get our main water supply," said the Yokomon.
"So," said Billy, rubbing his chin, "Why don't you go up there?"
"It's protected by a fiery digimon called Meramon. He's one ferocious Digimon," said one of the Yokomon, "We are very scared of what he could possibly do."
Rocky reached into his pocket, taking out his mini binoculars, "So, basically, we are looking for Meramon, right?"
"Yeah," said the Yokomon.
Rocky was aiming at the mountain. His eyes grew wide as he saw the flames erupting at Mount Panorama through his binoculars. He then saw Meramon coming down from the mountain, or as he described it, sliding down the mountain.
"He's on his way down here… and he's making the mountains look like a brushfire!" said Rocky.

Tommy turned around, "We all need to start running away. Let's go!"
Immediately, we all dashed away from the village. However, with so many Yokomon, it was important that they fled first. Granted, we have told people to leave the premises when Rita or Zedd attacked Earth but this is the first time we get to evacuate the whole population of Yokomon. At least they were small enough and fast to get out of the area. Looking back, I could smell the smoke. It was radiating off of Meramon. From what Rocky described, he was similar to the human torch of the Fantastic Four. Enough said.
We got to the part of the lake that was dried up. Lucky for us, there was a boat in the middle. It was the perfect hiding spot. It was the perfect spot. Tanya, Gomamon, Adam, Gabumon, Kim and Palmon slid down first, hoping to lead traffic. Everybody else followed down to the surface to continue the evacuation. We weren't sure when Meramon was going to be there. It could be a few hours, it could be a few minutes. It was best to take care of this.
"You guys will be safe here!" said Kim.
"I wish there was a way to get all of the Yokomon in here so we can face him ourselves at the village," said Tanya.
"How can we do it without our powers? Gabumon and Agumon haven't eaten anything so they can't digivolve right now," said Tommy, "We're going to have to go with what we have."
Overhearing them from the top of the boat, Rocky, Adam, Billy, and myself were holding up the rear, making sure everybody is safe. Or at least I thought we were holding up the rear. Looking up, I noticed Biyomon leading them to safety.
"Biyomon!" I shouted, "Get down here."
As the last Yokomon started going down, she sighed and smiled, "Everything's okay now."
She then turned around as Meramon arrived. Meramon laughed as he released a flame like ball at Biyomon. Biyomon jumped up as he missed.
"BIYOMON!" I yelled.
"Spiral Twister!"
Green flames came out as she hit Meramon in the chest. Instead of backing down, Meramon grew five inches bigger.
"What?" I asked.
"Agumon!" yelled Rocky.
"Gabumon!" yelled Adam.
"Tentomon!" yelled Billy.
"Patamon, go for it!" shouted Tommy.
"Pepper Breath!"
"Blue Blaster!"
"Super Shocker!"
"Boom Bubble!"
A fire ball, combined with a stream of blue fire emerged. It was then surrounded by a lightning bolt and an air bubble. As it hit Meramon straight in the chest, the body emerged ten times bigger.
"No way!" I said.
"FIREBALL ATTACK!" he yelled, releasing a fist of fire. However, the fireball was heading… directly toward Biyomon.
"BIYOMON!" I screamed.
"AISHA!"
Suddenly, something was glowing out of my pocket. Reaching into my pocket, I saw that little blue device flash before my eyes. Immediately, a white light shot out. Turning around, Biyomon began to surround herself in yellow light from my device. Floating in the sky, everyone turned around as a red flaming bird emerged as the image. Disappearing, red particles formed from the image as she began to digiolve.
"Biyomon digivolve to…. BIRDRAMON!"
The aura wore off as we were all in awe of Birdramon, my Digimon's next evolution. She has the body similar to a phoenix, which I found fascinating.
"That's pretty amazing!" said Rocky.
"Biyomon digivolved… to protect me," I said.
"Fireball Attack!" yelled Meramon.
Releasing fireballs, Birdramon dodged a whole entire volley of them. Turning around, she screamed as she flew toward him, tackling Meramon down. Meramon released more flames toward Birdramon. Birdramon took the hits as she used the wings to defend herself. A red aura surrounded her wings as she went to spread them.
"Meteor Wing!"
Streams of fire emerged from Birdramon's wings as Meramon was suddenly hit hard by the attack. Meramon screamed as a black gear flew out of his chest. I looked up as the black gear exploded. Meramon screamed as he started to shrink back down to his original size. Birdramon, however, began to glow in a yellow aura, shrinking back down to Biyomon.
"That was too close," I said.
"That black gear though," said Billy, "It controlled Meramon."
"Hmm… interesting," said Tommy, looking at the injured Digimon.
Later that day…
Usually, we would be running away by now. However, because of what happened, it seemed that there are good Digimon that do exist. Meramon is one of them. As we sat down together in a circle, Meramon began to speak about what happened.
"I don't even remember what happened," said Meramon, "I was on Mount Panorama when that gear drilled into my chest. Thank you for saving my life."
"It was our pleasure," said Rocky, "However, I think Aisha and Biyomon saved the day."
I couldn't help but blush. But, Rocky had a point. My wonderful partner saved the day.
The Yokomon were also in awe. Part of it was because they saw another chain in digivolution that they might have. The other part was because of my bond with Biyomon which allowed that to happen. Meramon would have burned the whole village if it wasn't for me.
"So," said Meramon, "The water should be restored and you guys are more than welcome to stay here tonight. We even have dinner prepared."
Rocky's jaw dropped, "Dinner?"
"Dinner," said Meramon.
A few seconds later…
"This is dinner," said Rocky, seeing only a bowl of seeds. Agumon smiled as he looked at him, "What?"
"Would you rather have nutritious seeds or have nothing?" asked Agumon.
"Good point," said Rocky.
All I could do was laugh. Granted we have been in this world for only three days, we have learned a lot about each other and the Digimon. However, what does concern me is not seeing a wild rampage. Those Black Gears could turn any Digimon evil. Who knows what can happen next. I hope we are ready for this.
