A/N: Here's Chapter 5…

Last Time…

So far, Agumon, Gabumon, and Biyomon have digivolved into their stronger forms. Why? Well, when Rocky, Adam and Aisha were in trouble, their partner digimon would evolve to defeat the Digimon that would cause harm. However, when the group was in Gear Savanna, they dealt with Meramon, who was controlled by a black gear. So, the question is what is happening in the Digital World as the Power Rangers continue on their journey?

Saga 01: The Curse of the Black Gears

Adventure 05: Electric Strike! Kabuterimon

(Billy's POV)

Being a Power Ranger for the course of three years, I have fought Rita's monsters, Zedd's monsters, Rito, and everything else. Bottom line, it was amazing. However, being in the Digital World where I have no idea where I am, well that's just an adventure within itself. There is still tons of mystery and things that I want to look at. For example, the understanding of the digivolution process and how we can access our powers from our world to protect ourselves. I mean, it's a start. But, as of right now, it's only been about two days. Actually, it has been two days . The past 24 hours we have explored the Gear Savanna. It's really nothing special. We saw Trash Mountain, which was just utterly gross and that was the only thing that was in Gear Savanna besides the Yokomon Village. However, I think someone was just about to split from all of the walking.

"I would like a break!"

The sound of Kim. Obviously, we have walked in this area for a very long time.

"Kim's right. We keep walking, I'll droop like those dying plants on the left," said Palmon.

Tommy sighed as he sat down on the ground. Usually, he would make us go forward. Guess he decided to take a break himself.

"Kim, I guess we can," said Tommy, raising an eyebrow, "Seeing that it has been very pleasant for the past couple of days."

Tanya nodded, "True. No Digimon running around ready to kill us…"

Gomamon smiled, "Yes! That's true!"

I took out my laptop. Yeah, for a Windows 95 laptop, it is definitely not compatible with this world.

"I wish this computer would work," I said.

I felt someone walk behind me. Turning around, Rocky grabbed my laptop and smacked it a few times. I was in shock. First off, that is NOT how you treat technology. Two, my laptop is not someone's butt cheeks. Grabbing it from him, Rocky smiled.

"What?" asked Rocky.

"This is not a toy!" I said.

"Oh come on. First off, we told you no electronics," said Rocky.

"Rocky," Aisha said, walking toward him, "True. But, it is his personal property. How would you feel if I smacked your Power Morpher because the morpher wasn't working?"

Rocky sighed as he looked at him, "Well, I guess you are right."

He then turned around. He saw smoke popping out from the hill. Rocky started heading toward the hill.

"Hey, Rocky. Wait!" said Agumon.

As he followed Rocky, Tanya rubbed her chin as she looked at Adam, "So, why is Rocky acting that way?"

"Don't know," said Adam, shrugging.

Meanwhile, while they were all discussing about Rocky being out-of-character, my computer was going insane. Apparently, I saw digital things going across the computer screen and then a picture that said "Welcome" in green letters.

"Perfect!" I said, "But…"

I noticed a battery logo with a red line.

"But, how is it working without a battery?"

"HEY, GUYS!"

The sound of Rocky's voice was filled with excitement. As the group headed over, with me bringing up the rear, we noticed a massive factory… correction, it was huge with buildings.

"This is Factorial Town," said Tentomon.

"Factorial Town?" asked Rocky.

"Yes!" said Tentomon, floating over the massive town, "Factorial Town is known for taking things together and putting them apart."

"That's it?" asked Aisha, "That seems a waste of time."

I looked up as he turned to see the other rangers and Tanya. I shook my head as I closed my computer. Turning around, I looked at them, "I believe we should go in there."

"Why?" asked Rocky, "If it's just a random factory."

Rocky may have had a good point. Yes, it's a random factory. But, I want to know why my computer was able to be accessed through Factorial Town.

"It might be but I would like some answers," I said.

Rocky sighed as he looked at him, "Okay."

Tommy nodded, "Besides, we could probably use a break in the factory and probably not in the heat of the Gear Savanna."

(Rocky's POV)

So, Tommy thought it would be easier if we split up into two groups. My group, consisting of Agumon, Aisha, Biyomon, Tanya and Gomamon decided to go more in depth inside the factory. Seeing the metallic piping, the fact that it was all clean made it obvious that humans or any form of life was not here. In other words, no one operates anything. No one is employed here. It was abandoned.

"Do you think anybody works here?" asked Aisha.

"Probably not," said Tanya, "I mean, abandoned phones, no buses… it's obvious that humans do not live here."

"Whatever it is, I hope nothing bad will happen," I said, looking at Aisha, "I mean, this is crazy."

"Well," said Aisha, "Yes. Besides, I think the worst is over."

"Hey!" shouted Agumon.

I turned around as I looked at the room, "What is that?"

Gomamon and Biyomon ran into the room. We decided to follow them. Immediately, we stood there and looked at a robotic cyborg that was on the ground. However, he was crushed underneath a wall of gears.

"Whoa," said Tanya.

"Who is he?" asked Aisha.

"That's Andromon!" said Biyomon, "He's a very good Digimon. He runs Factorial Town."

"Andromon?" I asked, "He seems crushed."

Without thinking, I decided to walk over toward Andromon.

"Wait!" said Tanya, "Rocky…"

"He needs our help, doesn't he?" asked Rocky.

Aisha decided to follow me. As we headed over to help, Tanya decided to follow us. Immediately, the three of us decided to help Andromon out. However, with trying to drag him, Agumon decided to raise his hand and smack his head. The three of us stopped as Agumon started backing up. He then tripped and fell on a lever. As the lever went on the gears started working. Without realizing this, we managed to move Andromon out.

"Wow," I said.

Immediately, his eyes opened. Red eyes began glowing. Aisha looked over him.

"He seems to be friendly," she said.

"Grr…," he grumbled.

He stood up and with his hand, he grabbed Aisha by the leg. Aisha stood there screaming.

"AHHHH!"

"Aisha!" I yelled.

DIGIMON ANALYZER:

Name: Andromon

Level: Ultimate

Attribute: Vaccine/Data

Attacks: Lightning Blade, Gattling Attack

Gomamon and the others stared at the creature.

"You must be deleted," he said.

I looked up. I noticed the pipes that were hanging above him.

"Agumon, aim for those pipes!" I shouted.

"Right, Pepper Breath!" yelled Agumon.

A ball of fire hit the pipes. Andromon yelled as the pipes landed on top of him. Aisha screamed as she was released. We all decided to run for it. We had to warn the others and get the heck out of Factorial Town!

We were running back and forth, going through corridors. As we got to an empty space, we stopped to take a huge breath.

"That was close," I said.

"Yeah," said Aisha, "I wonder where the others are."

"Good question," said Tanya.

"I hope we find them!" said Agumon.

Gomamon's ears started rising, turning around to Tanya, "Tanya, Andromon's coming."

"Lightning Blade!"

We turned around. A blue electric blade was heading directly toward us. Quickly, we all ran to the left and kept running. The blade hit the wall. The wall exploded into pieces. He was running wild…

(Tommy's POV)

We decided to leave Billy to do whatever he wanted to do for his discovery. Adam, Kim and myself were looking at what they were doing. It was pretty boring, as Tentomon mentioned.

"This is boring," said Adam, "Who would make a town to put pieces together and then take them apart."

"Good question," said Kim.

"I can't believe we are here," said Palmon.

"True," I said, "We're wasting our time. As much as I love the rest, this is getting a little boring. We should probably head back."

(Billy's POV)

My group decided it would be okay if they went off to the factory and explore. Tentomon and I decided to stay as we see a silver metallic canister that stood in front of me. I was looking for a door. Why? This canister leads to the battery of the factory. It was the core of Factorial Town. It's almost like the same design for the power core at the Command Center.

"Billy, wouldn't it be fun to go find the others?" asked Tentomon, "Besides, this isn't going to help…"

"But," I said, "I think there is something discovered here."

I felt something. It was almost like a switch. As I pressed the button, the switch opened up. The door swung open. Tentomon and I were amazed. It was a green circular wall with digital inscriptions that is not similar to Earth.

"Interesting," said Tentomon.

"I wonder…," I said.

I headed over to the wall. I noticed something weird about the design. With my finger, I wiped off a mark. Doing so, the lights went out…

"Oh," I said.

"Good job," said Tentomon.

It was pitch black and I could not see a thing.

"You know," I said, "I've done stupid things in the past… this could be added on."

"Stupid things?" asked Tentomon.

"Being a ranger," I said, "I have done my fair share of stupidity… even though I am the smart one of the group."

I put down my backpack, searching for a flashlight. As I felt something, I knew it was it. I found it. I switched it as I looked at the battery.

"Wow," I said to myself, "Well, if I was able to erase the marking…"

I reached for my backpack. I grabbed a black marker and then drew on the place I erased. Immediately, the lights turned on.

"Amazing," I said to myself, "What is this? How is this possible?"

I had no choice. I had to insert my laptop computer into the system. I began to download some important things as Tentomon looked at me.

"So," I said, "You don't know anything about the origins of the world?"

"Nope," said Tentomon, "I was just born here. What makes you think you know what's going on?"

"Well, that's why I chose to explore. I wanted to know more about the Digital World. Finding our way home may be the key. I don't want to be useless," I said.

"Useless?" asked Tentomon, "You are not useless."

I looked at Tentomon, "I usually have the brains, the technology. But, now we are in a place where my skills weren't used. Now we get here and we can use this technology."

Typing on my computer, I was amazed to see all of the data compiling into my laptop. I began to get what I was looking for and where we are. I was amazed as I was looking at the computer and how the world was. I couldn't believe the power. However, I never expected to hear a scream. I turned around. Tentomon was overheating.

"Ouch! Too hot!" Tentomon yelled. He was glowing in bright yellow light.

I looked down. My light blue device was glowing bright yellow. I went to touch it. It was hot to the touch. Somehow, whatever program downloaded onto my computer reacted to Tentomon. Before I could find out what was going on, I had no choice but to shut down the computer. I turned to Tentomon.

"Thanks, Billy," said Tentomon.

I sighed as I looked at my device. For some reason, it was disconnected. This means only one thing: Digivolution was more than just evolving if we were in danger.

"I think it's time to head back with the guys," I said.

A few minutes later…

I was heading toward Tommy, Kim and Adam with their Digimon. As I got outside toward the exit, I noticed a whole platform.

"Hey!" I said.

"So," said Tommy, looking at me, "How was the battery?"

"I made a discovery," I said, "That battery not also controlled the power source, I've downloaded important data on Digivolution and probably some ways on how to get home."

"EVERYONE RUN!"

I turned around. It was Rocky, Aisha and Tanya with their Digimon… plus a cyborg Digimon.

"Who is that?" asked Adam.

"That's Andromon! He's friendly!" said Gabumon.

"LIGHTNING BLADE!"

A light blue blade was coming at us… specifically, towards Adam. Gabumon immediately stepped up in front as he leapt up. A green aura surrounded Adam's device as Gabumon began to glow yellow. A white light shot out of the sky and then aimed at Gabumon. The blade diminished as Garurumon's image appeared…

"Gabumon Digivolve to… GARURUMON!"

Garurumon jumped up and attacked Andromon. Andromon grabbed him by the leg and threw him to the ground.

"Garurumon!" shouted Adam.

Andromon turned around, "You will pay for bringing allies… it is personal. Gattling Missiles!"

Out of his chest plate, orange rockets shot out of the chest. As the rockets opened up, machine gun like bullets came out. Rocky, Tanya and Aisha hit the deck as they missed the bullets. However, one of the missiles headed toward Rocky.

"ROCKY!" shouted Agumon.

Instantly, Rocky's device began to glow bright green. A white light shot out into the sky and hit Agumon. I saw orange sparkles and Greymon's image materialize.

"Agumon digivolve to… GREYMON!"

Greymon appeared, smacking the missiles out of commission. Andromon turned around as he saw Garurumon charge into attack as well as Greymon. Greymon bit him on the arm as Garurumon bit him in the leg. Andromon threw the two of them off.

"Dang," said Rocky, "He has a lot more power!"

"This is going to be hard guys," said Tommy.

"How are we going to stop him?" asked Aisha.

"I can probably help," said Biyomon.

Aisha turned around as another missile was shot. Aisha looked at Biyomon as she took out her device, "NOW!"

Her device began to light up as well. A white light shot out as Biyomon began to glow. Red sparkles came out as Birdramon's image appeared.

"Biyomon digivolve to… BIRDRAMON!"

Birdramon smacked the missile with its wing.

"This is more than just a fight," said Kim, "This is war!"

"Yeah," said Adam, looking at three big Digimon charging at Andromon. However, the three of them were heavily damaged. Tentomon turned to me.

"I have an idea," said Tentomon, "Turn on that program. I believe if you can type the right sequence, I'll be able to digivolve."

I nodded as I took out my laptop. Tommy, Kim and Adam were hovering over me as the other Digimon were fighting.

"What are you doing?" asked Tommy.

"Well," I said, "Since he seems to be powerful than most Digimon… maybe it's time we outnumber…"

As I saw all these codes, I nodded at Tentomon. I put in a sequence, which worked perfectly. My device began to glow bright green and a white light shot out. The others were amazed at my discovery for Tentomon began to glow bright yellow. Purple beams came out of him as a blue insectoid Digimon appeared.

"Tentomon digivolve to… KABUTERIMON!"

A blue rhinoceros beetle like Digimon appeared in front of me. He flew across as he headed toward Andromon.

"Wow!" said Adam, "That's impressive, Billy."

I nodded slowly, "Me too, Adam. I'm impressed too."

The four champions tried to stop Andromon. Andromon released another electronic lightning blade.

"It seems that he's tougher than normal," said Rocky.

"Well, according to the computer, he is at a higher level," I said, "But, he has something in his left leg… Kabuterimon, aim for it!"

Kabuterimon flew up in the air. A purplish-bluish bolt began to emerge from his chest as his arms and legs formed a sphere.

"Electro Shocker!"

The sphere headed straight forward his left leg. Andromon yelled as he was electrocuted. A black gear shot out of his leg.

"Another black gear?" asked Aisha.

"Great," said Rocky, "Just when things were getting easier in this world."

Andromon's eyes went from red to normal. He then noticed the four Digimon and the seven teenagers.

"What happened? Did I cause any trouble?" asked Andromon, "I'm so sorry."

"It's okay," said Rocky, "You were controlled by a black gear."

"I see," said Andromon, "Well, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused. Allow me to help you."

"Help us?" asked Rocky.

"If you head to the lower levels of Factorial Town," said Andromon, pointing over the roof of Factorial Town, "You will see a cave that will guide you to the sewer to the Northwest… the Misty Trees."

We followed Andromon, understanding what he was talking about. Sure enough, he was right. There was a cave on the bottom floor.

"Hopefully," said Andromon, "You can find your way home… I sense you guys are very far away from home."

Tommy smiled as he looked at Andromon, "Andromon, I want to thank you. Let's go guys… to home!"

The rangers nodded as we all decided to head downstairs to the sewer. I wonder what adventures await and hopefully we can get home before Angel Grove becomes Rita and Zedd's stomping grounds.
