Dreams

Kurt saw the X-jet land on the top of the roof. He tried to teleport, but the collar was still messing with his powers. Kurt jumped on the side of the building the X-jet sat on top of and began to crawl upwards. The collar could only shut down so many powers. The building was a good five stories high. Kurt climbed as fast as he could, but was exhausted. When he reached the forth story, he could see some of his fellow X-men looking over the side.

"Guys! Kitty! Scott! Logan! I'm right here!" Kurt shouted up to his friends.

"There he is! Come on!" The X-men ran from the right side of the roof to the left, where Kurt continued to climb.

Kurt reached near the top. Kitty held out a hand for him to grab onto.

Jason searched franticly for Kurt, then then heard someone say, "Look up there! Is that Spider…"

"No, he doesn't have a tail." Someone else said.

Jason looked to where they were pointing. He saw Kurt near the top of a building, holding out his hand towards one of his friends.

Jason's anger rose.

"Fine, if I can't have you," Jason pulled out a little remote with a single button on it. "then no one can."

Jason pressed the button.

"Kurt, I'm so glad you're okay." Kitty said as she reached for him.

"I'm glad you're all okay." Kitty looked at him confused, "I'll explain… AH!"

Kurt felt a severe stinging sensation coming from the collar on his neck. Kurt's eyes went half lidded, as he lost his grip on the wall.

"Kurt!" Kitty shouted, as she watched the blue mutant fall five stories.

"Jean! Quick!" Scott shouted at Jean.

Jason saw Kurt falling, he then looked up and saw Jean trying to use her powers to slow him down. Jason hadn't regained his full mental abilities yet, but he could still send out a powerful mental blast, that knocked Jean down.

Kitty could only watch as Kurt headed for the street below.

SMASH!

"Kurt." Kitty said softly.

The Professor wheeled over to see what had happened. Once he saw, he starred straight at Jason. Xavier gritted his teeth, feeling his calm exterior leaving him, leaving only the rage that this whole ordeal had brought.

Jason walked towards Kurt. He could sense that he was still alive, but only barely. Jason smirked.

"Well, now we'll have fu…Ah. AH!" Jason held his head in pain, as the full force of Professor Xavier's powers ripped his mind apart.

Jason backed away from Kurt, and towards the middle of the street, where he collapsed. Trembling slightly, his mind completely destroyed by the Professor's unbridled rage.

Jean flew down, and used her telekinesis to lift Kurt as gently as she could, and brought him to the jet.

One week later

Kurt opened his eyes. He winced at the bright lights that were currently on him. As his eyes adjusted he looked over and saw a big blue blob sitting at the desk across the room.

"Mr. McCoy?" Kurt said as loud as his fragile voice allowed.

Hank turned around and saw Kurt sitting up.

"Oh my stars and garters!" Hank stood up from his chair, and ran over to Kurt.

"How are you feeling Kurt?" Hank asked.

"Vell, I have a spinning head ache. My back feels like it got hit by one of Wolverine's punches. And my teeth feel like they haven't been brushed in two weeks, but other zen zat, I'm fine." Kurt smiled.

"Well, I'm glad to see you're al…" Hank was interrupted by a sudden hug from Kurt. Hank hugged him back for comfort. Hank then felt Kurt's tears falling on his shoulder. "Don't worry son. You're home. We're all here."

"It still hurts." Kurt said.

"What does?" Hank said.

"My mind."

Kurt began a regular therapy session with Professor Xavier to help him cope with the trauma he endured.

After the first sessions, all of his friends were at school while he was still recovering. Kurt left the session, and Kitty came running in, and ran into Kurt.

"Where are you going in such a hurry Katzen?" Kurt asked jokingly.

"Well, actually, I was, like, looking for you." Kitty half smiled.

She's nervous. She only says 'like' in the middle of a sentence ven she's nervous.

"Vell, vat do you need?" Kurt asked as he helped Kitty back up on her feet.

"Well, a lot happened while you were missing, and it was very grim without you here, and I realized just how much we need you. How much I need you." Kitty said that last part under her breath, but Kurt could hear it with his sensitive hearing.

"Kitty, ze whole time I vas captured, I could only zink of one zing. Vat I vould do ven I saw you again. I zink it's time I kept a promise to myself." Kurt said.

"What do you…" Kitty was interrupted by Kurt suddenly putting his lips on hers. Her eyes widened, but began to close as she lost herself in the ecstasy of the kiss.

The two separated, and chuckled.

8 hours later

Kurt sat on his bed, starring at his holo-watch. Kitty entered his room, and saw him.

"You don't need it anymore." She told him.

"Zey von't be as kind as zey vere ven Jason vas telling zen vat to zink. Vat if, vat if…"

"We'll be there. Don't worry. We'll protect you." Kitty smiled at him.

Kurt looked down at his watch, and set it down on his bed. He then grabbed his book bag, and walked towards the door. Kitty still sat and watched him.

"Are you coming? Ve don't vant to be late." Kurt chuckled

Kitty smiled and walked towards him, linking her arm with his.

Location: Alkali Lake, Canada

"Why have you brought me here?! I demand to know!" Jason screamed as he was brought to a dark room with a single light on. The light from the inhibitor color was the only other light source in the room. Jason tried to break his stray jacket, but it wouldn't budge.

"It's funny isn't it Jason, how you want to enter our minds, but you can't." A familiar voice rang out from the darkness, "Oh yes, you're just what I need."

"Father?" Jason asked.

"Phase one has begun."
