In the library, Elsa and Anna found the perfect spot to read a book: right in front of the fire and leaning against the couch. When they were on their way, they passed by Gerda. Elsa informed her of their plans just long enough before she could feel Anna yank on her wrist again.

Presently, they found themselves huddled together resting their back against the couch with a Nordic designed wool blanket colored in caramel and cream draped over their laps. On either side of them were steaming mugs of hot chocolate with small, square marshmallows inside. In Elsa's hands was the 1840 edition of the English novel Paul Clifford by Edward Bulwer-Lytton. Elsa opened up the book to the first chapter.

And it began: "It was a dark and stormy night…."

By the beginning of the fourteenth chapter, Elsa could hear the soft snoring of Anna. She looked over on her right and saw Anna's head slumped comfortably against her shoulder. Elsa smiled at her sister as she closed the book and brushed the fringe out of Anna's eyes. Elsa placed a soft kiss on her sister's forehead. Anna stirred in her sleep and eventually woke blinking her eyes open. She looked up at her sister and focused her vision of her sister's pale skin glowing in the light of the flickering fire. The soft warm glow of the fire brought an angelic aura to her older sister's figure. Anna gave Elsa a sleepy smile.

"Hey."

Elsa brushed the fringe away from Anna's forehead again. "Hey."

"What happened?"

"You fell asleep."

"That's not what I meant."

"Well, we were about to start chapter fourteen. I'm not quite sure when you fell asleep exactly."

"I might have started to doze off around the middle of chapter thirteen."

"That's quite possible. Do you want to go to sleep?"

Anna made a futile attempt to convince Elsa that they could more.

"No," Anna yawned, "we can keep reading."

Elsa lightly chuckled. "I think we should go to bed. Can you manage to stand up by yourself?"

"Of course I am!" Anna threw her half of the blanket off her lap and pulled away from cushiony feeling of Elsa's curves. "I'm not too tired to stand up."

"Okay." Elsa watched Anna attempt to stand up, but shot up when she had to catch Anna before she could stumble back onto the floor. Her eyes swirled with concern as she watched Anna's. "Are you okay?"

Anna steadied herself before she felt confident enough to stand on her own yet Elsa still held onto her.

"Yes. I'm okay now."

"Are you sure? We can sit down on the couch if you feel dizzy."

"No thank you, Elsa. I'm fine. I promise."

Elsa searched Anna's eyes before she realized her sister was just fine. With some reluctance Elsa had let go of Anna and stepped back. "Okay."

Anna gave her sister a more reassuring smile before bending down to pick up the book and her empty mug of hot chocolate. Elsa bent down to retrieve her own mug and picked up the blanket. She set her mug on a side table before folding the blanket and placing it on top of the center of the couch. In the meantime, Anna returned the book to its proper place. When she returned to her sister's side, Elsa had her mug in her hand again. She beckoned Anna to follow her outside the library. By the time, the two sisters left the castle's library they ran into Kai.

"Your Majesty, Your Highness, what brings you two here by yourselves?"

"Hello, Kai, Anna and I were on our way to return the mugs to the kitchen and go to bed."

"Let me save you two ladies a trip to the kitchen and you can head straight for your bedrooms."

"Oh no, Kai, that's alright. It's one small trip to make."

"Nonsense, Queen Elsa. It's a small favor I'd be happy to oblige to. Please, let me to do this for you two."

"All right, if you insist Kai."

Kai gave the royal sisters a cheerful smile as they handed him their empty mugs.

"Thank you, Kai."

"You're welcome, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. Good night, ladies."

"Good night, Kai."

Kai bowed to Elsa and Anna and they curtsied to him before he left with their mugs. When he was out of sight Anna turned to Elsa.

"I'm glad mama and papa kept him. He's so good to us."

"Indeed. He's practically family just as Gerda is."

"When you have the time maybe you should give them a raise."

"I will."

"Now, let's get to bed. I'm terribly tired from such a trying day."

"I think I need just as much rest as you do."

Anna hooked her left arm with Elsa's right one. "Come on, Elsa. Let's call it a night."

Anna led Elsa in the direction of their bedrooms.

The moment the sisters were in front of Anna's bedroom, Anna jumped back from the door as if it was a dangerous animal. Elsa looked at the plain looking door and then at her sister's face. Or at least she tried. Anna had buried her face into Elsa's shoulder.

"Anna, what's wrong?"

"I don't want to go to bed."

"I thought you wanted to go to bed."

"Well, I do, but I don't want to sleep in my room."

"You want to sleep with me again?"

Anna shyly nodded her head, but to Elsa it felt more like a gentle rub on her shoulder.

"Why?"

Anna pitifully lifted her head from its favorite spot on Elsa's shoulder and looked up at her sister with pleading eyes. "Please, Elsa?

"Anna…."

"Do you not want to share a bed with me?"

"I don't mind, but can't I come to your room?"

"Maybe some other time, but can't we share your bed tonight?"

"Why?"

"It's because we woke up together to an odd day and I want to amend today's events with a perfect ending that means sleeping with my big sister after reading together in the library."

"That does sound nice, but why my bed?"

"Why not?"

"Anna, please give me a simple answer."

"It's because it's your bed."

Elsa took a moment to absorb the information before a blush crept up her cheeks. "Oh. Okay."

The platinum blond beauty bit her lower lip before remembering something.

"I just remembered that I still have some things of yours. You may as join me for bed tonight, but don't forget to bring them back with you to your bedroom."

Anna looked at Elsa strangely. "What things?"

"You forgot your dolls, Anna."

Realization hit Anna hard, but then her face softened as she decided she only forgot one doll and not two.

"No. I didn't forget both dolls. Just one."

"You left behind both of them."

"That may be true, but I will only take one back with me."

"What?"

"I'm claiming my Elsa doll. The Anna doll is yours."

Elsa didn't have chance to respond as she felt Anna peck her on the cheek.

"I'll come over as soon as I'm ready. Bye!"

Elsa stood still stupefied as Anna disappeared in her bedroom. Blinking out of her stupor, Elsa made her way to her bedroom to change into her nightgown.

Elsa had sat down at her vanity to brush out her hair when Anna's signature knock sounded against the door. Elsa put down her brush and, with the moonlight as her only guide through the darkness, made her way over to the door. The moment she opened the door, Anna flung herself into Elsa and wrapped her in a warm hug.

"Elsa!"

"Aah!" Elsa lost her footing and stumbled back. Anna caught Elsa before she bend backwards and fall.

"Whoa there. I got you, Elsa."

Elsa hadn't expected such an experience and clung to Anna for support.

"I got you, Elsa. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I just was so happy to see you."

"Anna," Elsa gently pulled herself away from Anna's comforting body, "the last time you saw was ten minutes ago. How could you have missed me so soon?"

"It's not enough for me to be down the hallway from you. We used to spend so much time together and after being separated for thirteen years I want to spend even more time with you, Elsa. Do you not want to spend as much time with me as I do with you?"

"No, it's not that Anna. I'm just surprised you're so happy to see me after ten minutes."

"Maybe I was a little excited, but I don't regret nearly tackling you down with a hug. The more time we spend together and get to make up for lost time, the more I want to learn more about you. There's always something new and exciting I learn about the most important person in my world."

"Anna…"

"Elsa, please."

"Sorry."

"I want to know everything about you, Elsa, because not only are you my big sister and role model, but you're also my hero. Sure, I have Kristoff to help me with certain things in life. Maybe he took me to Hans to supposedly receive a true love's kiss on his trusty steed but in this case, Sven his trusty reindeer, and he sacrificed his love for me so my frozen heart could be thawed, but there are some things Kristoff cannot do for me that only you can do and I'll put as my personal hero."

"Anna maybe you should put Kristoff as your hero. He's a very heroic and sensitive guy."

"It was a happy accident that Kristoff and I fell for each other, but I first asked for Kristoff's help so I could talk to you. I almost realized too late when I threw myself between you and Hans' blade that what the most important thing in the world was the one thing I pushed in the back of my mind when I continued to travel with Kristoff.

Elsa raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"I lost sight of what truly mattered, Elsa, and that was family comes first. I was totally ignorant of the fact that the first and only person who showed me true love was you, Elsa. I was too blinded by romantic love to realize that you had an immense amount of love for me to force yourself into isolation. You never meant for me to think differently, but you went through it anyway because you were afraid of hurting me ever again because you loved so much. I'm sorry it took so long to know that you should come first, but I didn't act like that when your coronation came. All I cared about at the time was leaving the castle and meeting new people and possibly my one true love. It's funny though."

"What is?"

"I was so love starved that I developed a liking for romantic love. Don't get me wrong, Elsa, romance does have value in the world of love and has a function in society, but it wasn't the love I needed. I hadn't realized that I had already had one true love and that was you."

Elsa opened her mouth but Anna pressed a hand to it.

"Don't worry, Elsa. I don't mean romantically. Obviously we learned something very interesting about love when I sacrificed myself for you and thawed. We already knew that there are different kinds of love and that an act of true love can come in the form of not only a romantic kiss but also in the form of sacrificing yourself for a family member. I sacrificed myself to pay you back, Elsa. You sacrificed so much for me when you remained isolated from me and the rest of the world and it must have hurt so much when I was on Hans' side at the ball. I was such a terrible younger sister."

Elsa pulled Anna's hand away from her mouth. She was about to speak up, but saw the plea in Anna's eyes. She closed her mouth in defeat.

"But you didn't blame me for not knowing the truth, so I won't blame myself for it either but I won't forget what you did for me and I thank you for it, Elsa. My 'thank you' to you will come in the form of everything we do together from the moment we hugged for the first time in forever once I thawed. With that said, I think we can consider that true love can also come in the form of familial love and you're my true love. Friends and romantic partners may come and go, but family is forever. So, before you make any comments please consider what I mean."

Elsa had a lot to take in. She thought of Anna's argument why she wants to spend so time with her and how true love isn't just defined by romantic love; that someone doesn't need to be "rescued" by a romantic partner if there are satisfied with the familial love they have been given. Elsa considered Anna's theory and connected it with the emergence of romantic love from the lack of love that family did not provide for and could not provide for. Elsa really thought about it and saw that the two loves are connected. Familial love prepares an individual to fall into romantic love so they can pass on the same or similar experience of familial love to the families they will create themselves. It was a cycle between the two loves and platonic love between friends was the middle-man.

After weighing in all different loves that existed in the world, Elsa found that as long as people were completely and utterly content with the relationship that had love in it-familial, platonic, or romantic-then any love could be a true love. This was a new concept for Elsa, but she was able to wrap her mind around it fairly quickly. Once everything sank in, she flashed Anna a goofy grin.

Anna nervously raised her eyebrows. "What?"

"You're a dork."

"Hey!"

"You're an adorable dork, but I love you anyway."

Anna blushed and sputtered. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means that part of the reason I love you, Anna, is because you are an adorable dork."

"Adorkable? No! I mean, an adoka- adorable do-What's wrong with me? I swear I can speak!"

Elsa smirked. "Adorkable. I like that. I think that is the perfect description for you, Anna."

"No! Give me another chance! I can prove to you I can say adorkable-adbor…adorable dork. Hah! I said it. Adorable dork."

"Nope. You already said adorkable. Besides, you said I was beautifuller before correcting yourself and explaining that I was more beautiful."

"I was nervous, so cut me some slack! Besides, you're Queen of Arendelle so you're supposed to be eloquent."

"And you're Princess of Arendelle so you have to be equally eloquent. My excuse is that my sister is adorkable. What's your excuse, Anna?"

"Shut up!"

"Oh, very mature, sister."

"Elsa, please!"

"Okay. I was just teasing you, Anna."

Anna huffed as she crossed her arms. Elsa stepped forward and held out her arms as she smiled. "Come here."

Anna looked t Elsa's face and her open arms wearily. She eventually gave in and shuffled into her sister's welcoming arms and they automatically wrapped around her body. Anna kept her arms crossed for the first few seconds, but she couldn't resist the sensation and hugged her sister back and burying her face in her shoulder. Elsa took the opportunity to rub Anna's back while simultaneously cradling her head against her left shoulder.

"Oh, Anna. You know I would never let you get hurt by anybody as long as I'm around. And please understand that I tease you because I love you, but if someone tries to tease you then I'll freeze their behinds solid and kick them into the ocean or unleash a snow flurry over their heads for you because no one is going to mess with my little sister. No one. Not even Kristoff if I have something to say about it."

Anna lightly chuckled at her sister's proclamation on the last comment concerning Kristoff. Elsa's smile returned to her face despite the brief moment of seriousness that swept over her. She looked down at her sister. "And you know what?"

Anna lifted her head up to face Elsa. "What?"

"We wouldn't show true sibling love if we didn't tease and drive each other mad every once and a while. Siblings need to tease, aggravate, comfort, and depend on each other to show true sibling love. If not all those components were fulfilled in sibling love then it wouldn't be a true and honest love. It would be a superficial sibling love if everything was honky-dory all the time and it would certainly be an unhealthy sibling relationship is there was not enough love. Siblings need balance in their love for each other."

"Okay."

"Good." Elsa carefully pulled a suddenly clingy Anna away from her body enough to look her in the eyes. "Now, ready for bed?"

"Yes….I think we've done enough talking for one night."

"I'll say. Come on, Anna. Let's go to bed."

Elsa offered her hand to Anna and she happily took it without a second thought. Elsa guided them to bed and unfolded the covers. Elsa crawled in first and patted the mattress on her right side. Anna, with as much energy as a sleepy person could muster, eagerly crawled into the nook Elsa had created for her between the sheets and her welcoming arm. Anna pulled the covers over them and nuzzled her body against Elsa's and dug her head into a pillow. Elsa pulled her sister closer to her as she continued to get into the perfectly comfortable positions. Once Anna was settled, she looked up at Elsa with her chin underneath the covers. She beamed at her sister.

"What is it, Anna?"

"Nothing."

"No, really. Did you want to say something?"

"It's nothing. It's just that…"

"That what, Anna?"

"I love you, Elsa."

Elsa was taken aback by surprise. But then the initial shock wore off and her face softened with understanding.

"I love you too, Anna."

Anna leaned up and pecked Elsa on the lips before letting her head drop back on the pillow while always maintaining eye contact with her sister. Elsa chuckled as she used her free hand to brush away the strawberry-blonde's fringe.

"You goof ball."

"That's right! I'm your goof ball so you're stuck with me."

"Fine by me. Just remember that you're also stuck with me."

"I'm not stuck with you. I'm stuck to you. You'll never be able to get rid of me if you tried, Elsa."

Elsa stifled a laugh so it came out as a giggle. "What am I going to do with you?"

"Nothing."

"I guess that's an option. That would make things easier on both of us."

"Hey, Elsa?"

"Yes?"

"I have one more thing to say."

"What's that?"

"If we keep having successful sleepovers, could it be a possibility if we shared a room like we used to when we were little?"

Elsa had not considered such a thought before as she got closer to Anna making up for lost opportunities of bonding with her. It had been a long time since they last shared a room and she had no idea how they would function if they were to share a room. If sharing a bed and occasionally clothes were anything to go by to she would think it wouldn't be too bad to share a room with her sister again.

"Maybe."

"Maybe?"

Elsa happily bit her lower lip in an attempt to be coy. "Maybe."

Anna couldn't tell how to respond, but even if she wanted to think of something to say she couldn't. She could feel sleepiness dominate her senses and she yawned. Before long Anna could hardly focus her vision and fell asleep. Anna was completely knocked out and began to lightly snore. Elsa smiled at the sight of her sister sleeping. She brushed the fringe away from her forehead once more and planted a sweet and tender kiss.

"Goodnight, Anna."

Anna rolled on her side in her sleep facing Elsa and wrapped her arms around her sister. Her breathing was soft and warm. Elsa played a little bit with her sister's hair as she settled her own head onto a pillow and made herself comfortable. It didn't take long for her to feel comfortable though. Having Anna on her side didn't just feel comfortable, but natural and even more so since Anna was on her right side. Maybe it was because she was Elsa's right hand and thus had eternal dibs on her right side, but it felt right to her. She didn't mind it nor she even notice when Anna was on her left side, but everything seemed right with the world when she occupied her right side. That's all she could come up with to explain why it was easy for her to get comfortable in bed. Elsa eased herself on her right side so she was facing Anna's sleepy face. Anna's even breaths calmed Elsa and lulled her to sleep. She languidly brought her other arm over Anna's body to wrap around it and pull her closer. Feeling completely relaxed and ready for sleep to take over, Elsa slowly closed her eyes.

Maybe they could eventually go back to share a room. Maybe they could share a room. It would make things easier for them to reconnect as sisters. And Elsa realized that she may as well soak up as much quality time with Anna before Kristoff claimed her as his new roommate. Elsa was sure this would happen some way down the road, Anna and Kristoff would want to become closer with each other and Elsa better take advantage of spending time with Anna before it was too late. Maybe they could share a room again. Before life made other plans and leave Elsa stranded from the love she so desired from her sister since she was highly doubtful she would find someone like how Anna found Kristoff. If that did happen, Elsa would not resist the feeling, but for the meantime she was perfectly content with just having Anna and their friends in their lives. She just needed Anna to be happy for now and she intended to keep things how they were for as long as she could before she knew she wouldn't be able to fight the natural change that came to life. She would let the natural flow of things to happen, but until then she would take her time to enjoy her sister's company.

Then, Elsa truly fell asleep. Her soft breathes moved in sync with Anna's. The two sisters were wrapped in each other's arms in the gentle darkness of the room. Elsa had Anna in her arms in a protective manner while Anna had Elsa in her arms in a grateful and loving manner.

To Be Continued…

A/N: I realize that dork didn't really exist as a slang word until much later, but I chose to bend the rule and use it for this instance since none of the words that did exist during the time period were appropriate enough for the moment shared between Anna and Elsa. Besides, it would fit with Anna's personality to say such a thing.

And to the anonymous reviewer asking about my SLOD stories, I intend to finish my latest one when I'm done with Frozen and that may take a while since it's a total 180 from what I previously had written. As far as getting bored, maybe I was a little bored at some point, but it's mostly linked to getting tired of writing, getting writer's block and being distracted. It's like a made a detour from a detour when I stumbled upon the Frozen fandom. It may take a while to get back in the mood of finishing, but I intend to finish Forgotten Island. I can't say the same for TSLAA since that started out as a group project and I hadn't heard from anyone else in a long time, so that might be a lost cause. I would finish it myself but it wouldn't seem right if I did that. But I also have other projects to update on as well. I didn't forget about SLOD, I'm just really into Frozen right now and it feels like the point of no return, but I'll try to make a U-turn for yours and other people's sake because I got emails back in mid- to late-winter (late January).
