Author's Note: So many lovely reviewers have requ*** eh ... asked for me to continue this. Of course I will, don't be afraid. I have at least three chapters outlined and I hope to fill the breaks (studying, duh!) with creativity as I go along and finish my Master's degree. I hope you're not disappointed in case I can't meet my own expectations. I am trying here, really :*

The Nightgown Dislocalization - Proposition - Chapter 4

Her emotions were running wild, sleep deprived and excited at the same time, she could not comprehend what was going on so she didn't even bothered trying. There would be a logical explanation to everything, she was sure. Whenever he was ready.

"I mean, I'll see you like this more often now, won't I?"

With this, Sheldon entered her bedroom and Amy blinked rapidly, fearing she might pass out right there and then. He ... what?

"Sheldon, wait!" Amy called out, as soon as the meaning of his words had sunken in. She slowly tiptoed her way toward her bedroom, a room currently occupied by her boyfriend. Since the Tardis disaster (although admittedly, what a stellar idea!) he hadn't been in her room and Amy paralyzed in horror when she thought about the current state of it. Come to think of it, her bed was obviously not made, she had discarded her clothes in frustration earlier. The mere fact that the obsessively tidy Sheldon Cooper hadn't backed out of her room in reverse was a surprise ... and a delight to her. Sheldon made his way back to her and peeked out of the bedroom door.

"Wait for what? It's 2:34am. Chop chop!"

"You're in my room!" Amy finally cried out and covered her mouth in terror when she realized what she had just said. She wanted him in her room, he better not take this as a negative remark. Amy was just astounded at the rate of his development.

"And ... boys are not allowed in your room?" He smirked, gifting her with the crooked grin he knew she loved very much. His girlfriend simply stared back, dumbstruck. She attributed her lack of understanding the whole situation to her obvious sleep deprivation. He made no sense to her. She made no sense to herself. Was he ... joking? Was that ... a joke? Sheldon Cooper did not crack a joke. What?

He turned around and made his way back into her bedroom, unmoved by her lack of reaction. She followed him, her feet springing into action involuntarily. Her brain hadn't quite caught up to what had happened in the last fifteen minutes since she had gotten out of her bed and had opened the door soon after. The last time Sheldon had entered her bedroom it was because they had played pretend. A tardis for her door, a seemingly secure way to lure her into her bedroom and ultimately also her bed. She had to admit that this had been her underlying plan, fueled by Bernadette and Penny who had suggested to implement the necessary changes as soon as possible.

Amy stood on the threshold to her room and took the sight in.
Her clothes neatly folded on the armchair in the corner, her bed made, the cover flipped so it was easy to just slip into the warm covers. And Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper, standing on the other side of the bed, cautiously dipping one finger into the material of the bed, testing it's resistance. When it wobbled and then resumed its its original position, his brows furrowed in concentration.

"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Amy asked, still cautious and insecure.

"Do you want me to leave?" Sheldon looked up, his tone serene. He would leave, if she just said a word, Amy was sure of it. But what good did that do? It must have taken Sheldon a lot of guts to come here after midnight, way past any of the sleeping hours he allowed himself even in the case of an emergency.

"No ... no ... I guess not," Amy replied, her eyes fixed on his tall physique.

"Good," he simply said.

"Do you need any .. anything?" Amy rambled, her fingers entwined and her right foot nervously tapping onto the floor. "I mean, I can get myself pillows and a blanket and sleep on the couch, you know? You don't have to do this if ..."

He cut her off. "That won't be necessary. I am just ... this is like a hotel bed and I haven't read any reviews and I never throughly tested it..." Sheldon trailed off, eyes fixed on her mouth. He felt flushed as he realized the hidden meaning behind his last sentence. He swallowed but none of his counter actions could prevent him from blushing ferociously. His checks burned and the burn got even more intense when he dared to let his glance wander from Amy's mouth to her eyes. Her blue eyes had turned a much darker color and they sparkled. They sparkled. She must have enjoyed his little remark, he figured. Good.

"Oh we can change that," Amy responded, her shyness suddenly out of the window, boldness returning and her voice openly mocking him.

"That would be ... lovely," Sheldon pressed out, still flushed, "I am gonna ... uhm, head to the bathroom?"

He hurried out of the room to grab the contents of his messenger bag - since when did he forget such a vital detail? - and rushed into the bathroom. Mere moments later the door fell shot and Amy had a chance to breathe.

What was THAT?

When Leonard entered apartment 4A he immediately realized that the living room was fully lit in full brightness, a very strange occurrence in this very Sheldon-controlled environment. He half expected his best friend to sit somewhere, a cup of tea clutched in his grasp and a meaningful expression on his face, deep in thought, the fumes of the tea inspiring him to deep thinking. But there was no Sheldon Cooper in sight and Leonard got more worried as he went through the apartment and switched off every light he saw.

'This is getting curiouser and curiouser', he thought as he flicked the light off behind the kitchen counter, an action that wrapped the apartment in a comfortable darkness, with just two weak lamps burning and the emergency exit markings dimly glimming in the pale light of the moonlight and the two remaining lamps. He chuckled as he remembered his last safety drill. That man ...

"Sheldon?" He called out quietly. If his roommate was still awake, he surely must have heard him entering the apartment. Leonard mentally prepared for a lecture on late night disturbances but when nothing happened, he got a lot more worried and hurried towards his friend's bedroom.

He knocked on his friend's door three times, just for the sake of it. When, again, he didn't get any response, he decided to do the unthinkable. Opening Sheldon Cooper's door without his permission.

Just like that the room was empty. The covers carelessly thrown to the side, the bed unmade, one door of his drawer not fully closed and the closet door stood wide open.

'He must have had one hell of a day', Leonard combined and went to search for his roommate in the bathroom. When he found the rest of the apartment equally deserted, he wrecked his brain.

Where could Sheldon have gone?

Penny is gonna love this when she finds out, right? Who do you think is the first to realize Sheldon has gone to Amy's? ;-)
