"Rawr!" A tall lion jumped out at them, growling and, hissing?
"Fear me! I'm scary!" He told them, his red-orange fur curled around his face cutely, and a pair of thick framed glassed sat on his nose. He looked like a giant kitten.
"I ain't afraid of no lion." The Tin-girl glared at him before lifting her ax. The lion shied away from, bursting into tears.
"Don't hurt me! I didn't mean to!" He cowered away from her. The Tin-girl was confused, and kept her hand up with the ax.
"Hey! Put it down, can't you see he's terrified?" Lil and Kimi rushed to help the lion, Kimi reprimanding the Tin-girl.
"Sorry?" The Tin-girl continued to look confused.
"Are you a scaredy cat or somethin?" The Tin-girl asked, looking at the still cowering lion.
"I. I, yeah. I'm a big coward. Look at my eyes, I haven't slept in weeks." He still had tears in his eyes, rubbing at them with his tail.
"Oh, you poor thing." Kimi and Lil were trying to calm him down.
"Can't you count sheep?" The Scarecrow asked.
"I'm terrified of sheep." The lion said before looking at them tearfully.
"You can come with us. We're going to the wizard, to get Scarecrow a brain, and the Tin-girl a heart. We can ask him for some courage for you." Lil told him with a smile.
"You'd let me come with you?" He asked, looking up at them with wide eyes, before standing at full height, taller then them all, by at least a foot, but then he slouched, so he was shorter then the Tin-girl, looking at her fearfully.
"Don't worry, we won't let her hurt you." Lil told him with a smile and a warning glance at the girl of tin.
The Tin-girl just rolled her eyes and nodded.
