The, now five, travelers made their way to the edge of the forest. It was beautiful. The castle was in full view, all green and magnificent! Lil and Kimi grinned in glee.
The Tin-girl let out a small 'wow' past her lips, awe was evident as she stared with wide eyes.
The Scarecrow looked at it with a smile, eyes dancing with unspoken words.
The Cowardly Lion tried to hide behind Lil and Kimi, looking over their shoulders to see the sight.
"That's where we're going?" He asked quietly.
"Yeah. I can't wait to get there." Lil told him, moving away from him and toward the castle, starting to run through the flowers that grew over the yellow brick road.
"Let's run!" Scarecrow yelled in glee, taking off with the others behind him, easily passing Lil.
After a minute of running, Lil, Kimi, and the lion slowed, The Tin-girl and the Scarecrow continued for a few seconds before realizing that the others stopped. Kimi had fallen to her knees, then sunk to the ground to nestle in the flowers.
"I'm feeling so tired." Lil told them. The Lion nodded before slipping down next to Kimi, resting into a cuddle. Kimi moved her head to rest on the lions shoulder. The lion unconsciously moved to protect her from any harm, covering most of her body from view.
"I think I'm gonna take a quick nap." Lil said, sinking down to the ground to cuddle next to the lion and Kimi, the lion pulled her in protectively under his arm.
Tin-girl and Scarecrow shared a scared look, neither knew what to do!
