After hours of setting up camp,everyone was relaxed and happy. Well,almost everybody.
"Inuyasha could you please come down from there and eat",a worried Kagome begged.
Inuyasha stayed perched in the tree and glared at the neko hanyou who sat in a tree across from him.
"Not until this cat learns whose in charge and goes away", he growled.
"Are you sure? Your ramen will get cold", Inume mocked her future father.
He felt his stomach growl and finally gave in. He jumped down and sat with his arms crossed like he always does. Kagome sat next to him and handed him his ramen.
"So whats the future like",asked Shippo.
At the sound of that question,Kurohyou jumped down from the tree and started walking away.
"Hey Kuro,you okay", Inume asked him.
"I just need to clear my head. I'll be back in an hour or so", he said vanishing into the night.
"That was the wrong thing to ask Shippo. The future is not a pretty place. Naraku has caused many people so much pain. Especially Kurohyou", Inume said with a mourning look.
"What did he do",asked Sango.
*Elsewhere*
Kurohyou was running as fast as he could run. He finally found himself in a field full of red moon lilies(I made the name up).
'Why did this have to happen? Why couldn't have it been me, not her',he thought to himself as he stared at the moon.
"I wish I could bring you back...mother",he whispered into the night.
*back to the others*
"Naraku killed the main thing he loved. He killed his mother",Inume's voice cracked as she spoke.
Everyone,especially Inuyasha,looked at her in shock. Inuyasha stood up and walked in the same direction Kurohyou left.
"Where are you going Inuyasha",asked Miroku.
"To find that dumb cat,what else",he said as he broke out into a run.
'Thank you papa',Inume thought to herself and smiled.
"Let's just all go to bed and we can continue traveling tomorrow", Kagome suggested while unrolling her sleeping bag.
Everyone snuggled up and drifted into sleep. Everyone except Inume. She sat in a tree and looked at the moon.
'Where did you go Kuro,' she wondered.
*back with Kurohyou*
Kurohyou sat in the middle of the field of red moon lilies and kept staring at the moon.
"Having fun",said a voice behind him.
"Go away Inuyasha", he growled at the inu hanyou.
"I know how it feels to lose a mother. I was very little when I lost my mother", Inuyasha said sitting next to him.
"She and I were so little when our mother died",said Kurohyou.
"She? She who",asked Inuyasha.
"My sister,Shirioashi. She was 4 and I was 5 when our mom was killed",said Kurohyou.
Inuyasha didn't know what to say about what he was just told. He stood up and began walking back to camp.
"I'd hurry back. Inume's really worried you know",he said looking over his shoulder at Kurohyou.
"Yeah,you're right. Last time I worried her she beat me till I was black and blue",Kurohyou said getting up and following behind.
"Hey Kurohyou",Inuyasha started.
"Yeah, what is it",Kurohyou asked.
"Make my future daughter worried again and I'll be the one to beat you black and blue",Inuyasha said running ahead.
"Very funny...That's was a joke right",Kurohyou asked following along.
"Don't push your luck cat."
