They got to the door, but they closed just before they could exit. A laughing cackle made them turn in fear. The Witch was grinning down at them.
"Going so soon? And not even saying goodbye?" He tsked. Guards ran in, surrounding them.
They didn't attack though, just, waited.
"That's right, don't attack so soon. Let them think about it first. Let them realize that they have nowhere to go." The Witch cackled again.
The Scarecrow looked up, and saw something. He pulled the Tin-girl's arm, lifting the axe. She saw what he was doing, and cut the rope to the chandelier.
"Seize them!" The Witch yelled in anger when the guards were taken down. "Stop them! Get them! Don't let them get away!" He screamed as he chased them, the guards right behind them.
They continued to run, the guards and the witch were left behind in their dust. Or so they thought.
"This way!" The Scarecrow waved his arms. Lil and Kimi screamed when they saw the guards coming right at them.
"Back that way!" The Scarecrow pulled Lil back.
But there were guards there too.
They were pushed into a tower, guards on both sides. They had nowhere to run.
