"Now! I and my associates will be taking a journey into the outer stratosphere! Until I return, The Scarecrow will rule over you in my stead. Assisted by the Tin-woman and the Brave Lion. Obey them as you would me." Tommy called out to the Emerald city natives.
"Kimi?" Lil asked her friend, who had yet to enter the balloon.
"I forgot something! Wait, give me a minute." Kimi ran off, she had forgotten her basket, the one Aunt Betty had given her only days before she left.
"Wait!" Lil ran after her, telling Tommy not to go without her.
When they got back, Tommy had already started to leave, the balloon too far away.
"Hey! Come Back! You Forgot Us!" Lil yelled out.
"I would if I could! But I Don't Know How!" Tommy yelled back, "Goodbye!" he was gone.
"Well shoot. Now we'll never get home."
