Chapter 7 will probably be out some time after thanksgiving. anyways enjoy and post a review if your like the direction or have questions/suggestions.

The last few days had kept the saints busy. Peirce and Shaundi had kept the crew organised and on task while Marcus had dealld with the over all strategy of taking down the Syndicate. In all that time he had been unable to gain any real traction on where major syndicate operations were located and where they layed their heads at night. But more dusturbing the past few days was the way Shaundi had been acting. She had grown distant and kept herself in the work at hand and rarely took time to rest she had the look of exgsuatihion and when ever pierce or Marcus tried to say something she would say that she was fine and leave again.

Marcus knew he had to talk to her because he knew what was causing this. She was still mourning the loss Gat. He couldn't blame her she was new to the loss of friends Something he was all too familiar with already. He feared for her, he didn't want to see her walk the same path as him to see her loose apart of her soul little by little until all that was left was a box of memories. He refused to let her throw away what made her who she is just for revenge, no that was his job he had already died long ago the only reason he hadn't finally ended it was because she gave him something to live for because without her he would have nothing.

Marcus pulled himself from his thoughts and decided to see what Pierce had found out about syndicate holdings in the city. He grabbed his phone and dialed

"pierce what have you got."

"Look man, we need to get a better place"

"what, got to use to posh hotels and penthouses"

"fuck I can't help it if the rest of the world treats the saints right"

"So what do have in mind then"

"I say we roll around town and scope out what the syndicate is up to and see if we can't find a better place to set up. Meet me at the park"

Marcus ended the call and drove to the park to meet Peirce. Once he arrive he found his friend sitting in a well used plain-looking sedan.

"what the hell is this then eh" Marcus gave a confused look as he looked over the vehicle.

"we are gonna be driving by syndicate owned buildings its better not to advertise who we are before we are ready don't you think."

"right, good point" Marcus said as he got in the passenger side

After driving in silence for the last few blocks Peirce decided to address the situation between the boss and Shaundi. He may bitch a lot about Shaundi having the boss wrapped around her finger at times but that didn't mean he didn't care about her as a friend she was a very fun person to hang out with and at times she was even a bit more crazy than the boss. He turned down the radio so he could talk.

"so...hows are girl doing." he asked carefully not sure if now was a good time to broach the subject.

"What do mean?" Marcus replied look out the window

"come on man we both know she ain't been right since Gat died." Pierce said as he came to a red light

"She can handle her self pierce, it's not like she's made of glass I'll keep an eye on her but for now just let her be." Marcus said looking at Pierce ending the conversation.

Pierce knew not to push the subject further when it came to Shaundi. The Boss had a bit of a protective streak when it came to their relationship. Deciding it was better to change subjects.

"So how long you and Gat run together for any way" Pierce ask as he continued to drive.

"A long time, since I first became a saint. Ha, he was just as crazy back then" Marcus had a look of nostalgia on his face at the memory of his friend.

"He was a good saint and even better friend, but that all changed when Aisha died he became more distant when we were in jail he was talking about leaving the saints and walking. Pierce looked at Marcus as if he sprouted a second head.

"Shit, for real" Pierce said still shocked at what he had just heard.

"ya, he said I had become blinded by the money and fame, that I had lost what it meant to be a saint...maybe he was right."

Pierce shook his head and sighed "look man Gat just never got into the lifestyle like we did, he was stuck in the old ways." deciding it was best to leave it at that they both continued in silence until they reached the downtown core.

Syndicate Tower

After the incident involving the saints Loren had gotten word to the other heads of the syndicate to hunt down the remaining saints that had landed in steel port. He was sitting in a meeting with said and was not enjoying the current argument about how best to deal with the saints.

"we should kill them now before they become a problem" said Killbane leader of the luchodoras Loren normally wouldn't have brought such a narrow-minded person into the syndicate but he was a useful tool to keep. Loren had heard enough of this.

"enough, the saints are not a problem they will be dead soon enough." Loren said as he dosed his cigarette.

"With all do respect sir, It was the saints who attacked the Armory. They could be trying to gather strength to attack." Said the syndicate tech expert mat miller.

"Fear not mister miller, that saints will not be a problem they can do nothing but give hollow threats"

The tech expert looked unsure but trusted Loren's leadership. The others didn't look as assured.

"Plans are in place to deal with them when the time comes for now we must strengthen are holdings." Loren said as he lite a cigarette.

Marcus and Pierce continued to drive around and spotted syndicate everywhere, they were all over downtown it showed that they had control of a lot of the shops and businesses in the area. Marcus realized that this would be a harder fight then he had anticipated. Once they had seen enough of the holdings in the area they looked for a better place to set up shop. Pierce had a good place in mind to look at it was a penthouse that was owned by the morning star. It was evident that it was well used as both Marcus and Pierce made out the heavy security at the lobby.

"looks like we ain't getting in that way, will have to find another way in" Pierce said as he set down the binoculars

"it's almost certain that they would have the elevator locked down. Look at that, looks like there having a party here tomorrow." Marcus said pointing to the banner above the entrance.

"well shit that'll make things easier" replied Pierce in surprise

"you thinking what im thinking" Marcus asked

"probably not" Peirce deadpanned

"there's gotta be a service elevator that goes up to the penthouse. So we get some of the boys to come in through the parking structure and we send someone to the party to unlock the elevator access and bring up the rest of the crew and then we clean house..simple." Marcus said as he gave Pierce a smirk.

"Oh I already know something is gonna go wrong with this plan."

Both men deciding they had seen enough they returned to the apartment to tell Shaundi and the others.

Apartment

Breaking the plan to Shaundi went as well as expected... not well

"I thought we were going after Loren. Why are we wasting time with this shit." She said loudly as she stood with her arms crossed glaring at Marcus while Pierce was sitting on the couch between the two.

"look we will, we can't just run in their gunning straight for Loren we need to get a foothold in this city first and then we can worry about Loren." Marcus explained as he rested a hand on her shoulder to calm her anger.

Shaundi pushed his hand away and turned to leave "whatever do what you want" she quickly left slamming the door shut.

"Shit...Pierce get the crew ready we go tonight." Marcus said as he went to find Shaundi.

Marcus tried to stop Shaundi but she was already speeding out of the car port and gone by the time he got outside.

Marcus cursed as he watched her drive off.

As Shaundi drove off and sped down the busy streets of steelport she was beginning to think that she was the only sane one left everyone was acting as if Johnny's death meant nothing as if he was just another gun in the crew.

She was different she cared about johnny she had seen him as a good friend and was one of the only other people besides Marcus that supported her change in lifestyle.

She just couldn't deal with it, she needed to think sort out her thoughts.

Marcus had driven around for a while looking for Shaundi he covered all the usual places she would have gone and still nothing. He knew she wouldn't leave steelport he was about to head back to the apartment and wait for her until he remembered that she liked the waterfront back in steelport so he headed for the one place she would go.

Shaundi couldn't beleave the way Marcus was handling this whole situation with Loren she was beginning to belive that he didn't care about his friends. Letting Loren get away with Johnny's murder was just too much and to treat it like it was nothing was beyond her limits to handle. She needed to think, clear her head and decide if she should even stay around.

She found a secluded park by the water front she just sat there watching the sun set, finding the beauty of the rays begin to clear her thoughts. Her mind was a race with many thoughts. She knew she was being ridiculous about the whole thing, she knew that Marcus cared for johnny and that he wanted Loren to pay for what he did but she just couldn't see it. Maybe she was blinded by the grief still. But she knew that if she left Marcus would take it hard and maybe even reopen the wounds of his past and send him on a path of self-destruction.

She heard someone approach and knew it could only be one person.

"Hey, you happen to see a girl around here she has a strong will and fierce attitude and is madly in love with a roguishly handsome leader of a multi million dollar organization that wears purple."

As much as Shaundi was mad at him she couldn't help but smile at his stupidity.

"maybe, she sounds like a girl how has lost her mind.

Marcus was glad to see her smile again it had been awhile since he had seen her smile it's what he liked most about her. He was again reminded of how she was what kept him from giving in to his demons eating a bullet some days.

"How did you find me?" She asked

"It was simple I just found the best place to view the sunset I knew you always liked to watch the sunset when you needed to clear your head." He replied as he sat next to her and pulled her close.

Shaundi welcomed his embrace as she while watching the sun set slowly over the water. Both enjoyed the silence until Marcus broke it by speaking

"look love I know you don't like that we are not going after Loren right away but its gonna take time we need to do this the right way or else we are gonna end up losing someone else."

Shaundi tightened her grip on him as she heard those words but remained silent before turning to him. "I know I just... okay will do it your way but when this is over I think we should look into more legitimate line of work.

"Alright, come on then we should be getting back we got a party to go to." he said as they both walked back to there cars.

Apartment

It was decided that Marcus and Shaundi would enter the party undercover as regular guests since it was a large open party with a long list of attendees it wouldn't be that hard to go unnoticed by the party goers.

Marcus had finished getting ready and was waiting for Shaundi to finish getting ready. He was wearing a black casual dress shirt with a purple tie and pants with a black dress jacket with a small black and silver saints tie clip and had a his gun hidden under the jacket. He went to see what was taking Shaundi and was stunned when he met her coming out of the bathroom. She was wearing a tight black dress that went down to just above her knees and had an open back and hugged her body in all the right places. Marcus was unable to think clearly for the moment until Shaundi noticed him staring.

"you just gonna stand there" She said as she grabbed a smaller gun and placed it in her clutch that matched her dress.

"uh...ya we should... we should go" Marcus struggled to form words as he was trying to get the inappropriate thoughts out of his head.

They both walked out together and drove to the party before getting out they called pierce to make sure they were on track with the plan as Marcus didn't want to be hanging around long.

Getting out of the car and helping Shaundi out of the car as she gave him a small smile.

"now try to behave yourself while we're here" She said as she brushed past him and gave a little extra sway to her hips which caused Marcus to stare for a second or two until he came back to reality and followed to catch up.

The Party

Inside the penthouse the party was in full swing there was music and drinks flowing and many people dancing on the floor. There was also many syndicate members at the party although Loren was nowhere to be seen which slightly angered Marcus but it was too late now to worry about.

Shaundi and Marcus walked over to the bar and ordered drinks to help blend in and to scout out where security was and how best to crash the party.

"well what do you think" Marcus asked as he set his drink down and scanned the upper balcony.

"I think we need to dance" She said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him out into the crowded dance floor. All most as if she commanded respect the dance floor parted and enveloped them as they found a spot to lose themselves to the beat of the music. Marcus was not much of a dancer but he did not care much when he was with Shaundi. She was the one who felt at home on the dance floor and always seemed to draw the rooms attention.

They both danced while scanning the room for the right person to help them.

"I think found someone who can help us with the service elevator." Shaundi said as she spotted the perfect mark. "follow me"

She left the dance floor as Marcus followed she walked towards a short looking syndicate lackey that was standing off in the corner. Marcus quickly figured out what she had in mid and decided to follow her lead.

Marcus hung back and let her pull the poor bastard into her web.

The syndicate guard, quickly noticed her walking towards him and felt as if his night was gonna be a good one.

"hey, there whats a Cute guy like you doing all alone" She said in a very sultry voice.

Marcus observed as Shaundi had the poor man wrapped around her finger for the moment. Marcus worked his way around behind him it was only when he noticed the guard start to get a little to touchy feely for his liking he knew Shaundi could handle it but it still spiked his anger. So he quickly pulled his gun.

"come on baby I know you want it" the guard said bluntly which caused Shaundi to look at him in disgust.

"Fuck off asshole" she said as she punched him and turned to leave but was grabbed by the arm and pulled back.

"You bitch you know who I am" the Guard said as he pulled her towards him roughly.

As she was turned around Shaundi had pulled her gun and quickly had it pressed to the mans groin.

At this point Marcus had grabbed the man from behind and had his gun pressed into his side.

"Now that's no way to treat a lady mate" Marcus quietly pulled the man towards the service elevator.

Dragging the guard down into the utility area that housed the service elevator was simple enough most of the syndicate guards and guests were occupied with the party to notice. But there were a couple of syndicate guards that must have been posted to the elevator and had taken a smoke break when Marcus and Shaundi came through the doors.

"Hey what-" the guard that spotted them tried to pull his gun but both were cut down as Shaundi took both out with silenced headshots. The guards bodies quickly dropped and the area was clear for the moment.

Marcus kicked the guard he was handling in the back of the leg forcing him to his knees and coming around to face both saints.

"so, now that we are alone care to give us the code for the elevator" shaundi asked with a fake smile and tone that seemed kind and polite.

"FUCK you bitch I ain't telling you shit !" the guard yelled and to top it off he spit in her face which quickly earned a swift pistol whip across the face from Marcus.

"whoa now that was very rude, show the lady so respect would you" Marcus said before he watched Shaundi return her own brand of punishment.

Shaundi wiped her face and fixed the man with an ice-cold glare of absolute death. She walked up to the man and delivered a strong right cross as the sound of his nose cracking could be heard the man swore as blood poured from his nose.

"AHHH... fuck you broke my nose you stupid bitch." so far the guard was proving useless and the more they delayed the harder the job was gonna get and Shaundis patience had reached its limit and decided to end this game.

She hit him again and pressed her gun into his kneecap and looked him in the eyes as she say the fear of what she was going to do.

"Look I've had a really bad day I would like for it to be over, so you have five seconds before you never walk again."

Marcus had raised an eyebrow at her words and felt a small amount of pity for the man he knew first hand that when she was pushed to her limit she could scare even the most hardened men into pissing themselves.

"AH...Ugh, fuck fine the code is 3134. but your all dead do you know who I work for my boss is gonna find you." the man spat at them in reply

"He's next" Shaundi said as she put three rounds into the man at point-blank range as he doubled over on the floor as she stepped over the body and put in the code.

This had surprised Marcus and sort of worried him. He was not used to seeing Shaundi act so cold before, he wondered if she was still troubled by recent events. He would need to have a talk with her later on.

Marcus was shaken from his thoughts by the elevator arriving and opening to Peirce and a whole bunch of saints exiting the elevator with a crate of weapons from the guard armory.

"About time you get us in we were begining to think something had gone wrong" Pierce said to Marcus and Shaundi as they grabbed more potent firepower. While Marcus just looked back at him.

"ya well we almost had a problem but as you can see its been solved."

"shit, I can see that your handy work" Peirce asked but looked confused when Marcus shook his head and tilted his head towards Shaundi who was talking to the others.

"for real are girl do that, damn didn't think she had it in her." Pierce said as he walked away to join the others

"Me either" Marcus muttered to himself as he followed.

The saints gathered their gear and made ready to crash the party. With the loud music most of the saints went unnoticed while they got into covered positions but soon a group of syndicate guards noticed and quickly began to shoot at the intruders.

This caused the music to die and the party to breakdown into absolute chaos people running and screaming as gunfire blazed and rang out all over the penthouse the saints had the upper hand as they took a lot of the syndicate by surprise and many still struggled to figure out what was happening.

Marcus was in cover by Pierce and Shaundi, all three kept calm and controlled as they took down goon after goon for the most part they tried to not hit random party goers but if they managed to get caught in the fray they didn't really care.

"I think this is turning out easier than I thought it was gonna be" Marcus said

Peirce looked to Marcus and agreed with a nod as he reloaded and returned fire yet again.

Shaundi ducked down behind cover "Really you call this easy its fucking chaos" she yelled over the gunfire.

The battle raged until only a few syndicate goons were left. They were pushed into a corner and quickly surrounded and taken out by the saints overwhelming firepower.

After major fighting had died down Marcus ordered some of the saints to clean up the dead bodies and to search for any hold outs. Peirce was busy looking around to see what sort of stuff the syndicate left.

Marcus approached Shaundi who was directing another group of saints that where busy hauling up the rest of the crates and stuff they had brought from the apartment.

"Hey, hows things going so far" Marcus asked stopping next the her.

"not bad but this place is a mess still its gonna take some work."

"well you shouldn't have a problem with that eh" Marcus said as he gave her a cheeky smirk.

"What the hell is that suppose to mean do I look the damn maid" she said loudly

Marcus just gave another smirk as he thought about her in a little maid uniform.

"Mmm, now there's an idea" he said idly as he was lost in his lustful thoughts.

Shaundi gave him a light jab in the ribs as punishment for his thoughts.

"oh I bet you'd love to see me in that right, keep dreaming" she said in a dry tone

Marcus looked around and realized that all in all tonight was a good nights had killed a bunch of Loren's men and took their penthouse.

"I need a drink" Marcus muttered as he went off to find one...
