So here is chapter seven. Took me a lot longer than expected. I lost my story plan and had to find it ... so enjoy - comment and review
The last few days had been a busy one for the saints the crew had been hard at work to get the penthouse up to saints standard the lighting had been given an added color of the saints trademark purple and the statue of the warrior on the main floor had been replaced with the lady saint that had become a symbol of the saints and was featured in many of the planet saints stores.
The greenhouse on the second floor had been turned into an armory. The penthouse had one main master bed room that was quickly claimed by Shaundi for her and Marcus. The bedroom featured a large bed with a large couch and tv and had windows that showcased the downtown skyline of steelport. It also had a large private bathroom that had a double sink with a large walk in shower.
Shaundi was busy unpacking her things and getting the room to her liking when Marcus walked in without her noticing and just watched her for a moment. She seemed more relaxed now almost back to the way he remembered but she still showed that coldness from time to time like when she ruthlessly killed that syndicate guard. That was something she wouldn't have done before.
"so, you got everything the way you like it" Marcus said jokingly as he walked into the room and sat on the bed.
"all most, It's not like are place back in Stillwater but it'll do" She said not looking up from her task.
Marcus sighed standing to embrace her in a much-needed hug as he spoke.
"Look, I know it's not what we're use to but its only temperay until we can deal with Loren and the syndicate." Marcus said as she hugged him tighter and then let out a long sigh and nodded to his words.
"ya, your right. So whats are next move" she asked leaving his embrace and going back to her un packing.
"Well I need to check in with Pierce and see what he's found he's spent most of the week checking out what the syndicate left behind when we took the place."
Marcus walked to the door before turning back to her "everything will be fine love"
Syndicate Boardroom
Matt miller was in a heated discussion with killbane about the saints recent action
"It's clear the saints aren't going to back down we should've ended them when we had the chance." miller said as he paced back and forth.
Killbane who was much more relaxed about the situation "Matty relax everything will be fine the saints can't touch us."
"my thoughts exactly Mr. killbane" Loren stated as he walked in with Kiki and viola
"The saints can do nothing but utter empty threats" Loren took his seat and took out a new cigarette.
"with all due respect sir, empty may no longer apply" Matt said as he slid a tablet toward Loren
Loren took it and watched the saints assault the party at the downtown penthouse. This gave Loren pause and he began to see that the saints were going to be a bigger problem than he needed at the moment. But he did have an ace he could use against the saints one that had a vested interest in the saints leader.
"I will handle this, for now Mr. miller I want you to make sure are dealings are kept undetected by the saints and that they do not learn of your new pet that you are currently keeping on that ship of yours." Loren said as he let out a large puff of smoke
"yes sir, and rest assured agent Kensington is not a problem" Miller said
"See that she does not fall into the saints hands she knows too much about your dealings and by extension our dealings Mr. miller she would cause a great deal more problems than it would be worth do not fall me" Loren said threateningly as he gave a narrowed look. they gathered there things and exited the room.
Loren returned to his office and retrieved a cell phone from a lockbox in his desk and dialed the only number.
"it's me, we need to meet. I think that I have a problem that might interest you."
"Oh since when are your problems my problems" the voice asked
"It involves the third street Saints and their leader." Loren said
"I'll be on the first flight to steelport." the voice said as the line went dead.
Loren just put the phone down and thought about his forming plan to be rid of his current problem for good.
Loren waited for his contact at a usual meeting spot he often used when discretion was needed. It was located in an old warehouse property he owned and had a large container yard that provided good escape routes should it ever be found out.
He sat and waited although he grew tired of being the one waiting he knew it was better than being on the wrong side of the person he was meeting.
Loren was taken from his thoughts as one of his men came to him.
"sir, she has arrived" the guard said as returned to his post.
Shortly after in walked a woman who carried herself as if she was untouchable and had an air of superiority about her.
"Ms. Hughes a pleasure to see you again, I trust your trip was well." Loren said trying to hide his annoyance at dealing with someone like her.
"Oh, try that smooth tongue routine with me Phillip. You know why I'm her to end the saints and prove that my anti gang initiatives are well worth the money.
Yes, well in delivering you the saints I trust are agreement is still in effect." Loren asked questioningly.
"yes, yes your safe rest assured that the coming plans do not involve you or your associates." Monica said as she sat across from Loren.
"that is good to hear" Loren said as he lite a cigarette and let out a large puff as he stared at Monica Hughes trying to decide on whether or not to believe that she won't turn on him eventually.
He knew that the agreement would give him time to shift his more important investments off shore and use the rest as cover to set up new operations out of the country should it come to that.
"So, tell me about the saints why are they here and how many do they have." Monica asked
"they tried to rob one of are banks and were caught in during the heist. And as such were given to us be the Stillwater police department, we offered them a place within the syndicate but they were too stubborn to know when they had been beaten. They escaped and are now occupying one of are penthouses downtown." Loren said with annoyance at having to explain the story.
"I'm surprised Phillip that a few saints managed to show up you and your men like that." Monica laughed as she thought about that.
Loren gave her a glare but it didn't faze her "oh come now i'm just joking we both know that the saints are nothing more than band of wild lunatics.
"the saints will make a good proving opportunity for the STAG program" she said as she looked to one of her aides as he brought forth a briefcase.
"here is what we will be required for the deployment of STAG when it comes time." she handed Loren a file and after looking at it he quickly looked to her with shock.
"this is something even I can not do" Loren said as he looked back at the file.
"oh, I think you can. I'll have he full details sent to you. For now thought I have a few things that need taken care of on capital hill I'll call you when its time." Monica said as she stood and left while Loren left with the file.
unbeknownst to them their meeting had been watched by an unknown man. The man grabbed his cell and called a number.
"It's me tell the old man I have what he wanted and I'll send the recording immediately." He hung up and left the roof he was on.
Broken Shillelagh
Marcus met up with Pierce at the broken Shillelagh a pub that had become a favourite of Pierces. It suddenly brought back memories of the ones he use to visit with the lads he ran with back across the ocean. Shaking his thoughts he found Pierce who was playing darts.
"alright pierce I'm here now what." Marcus said as he sat at a nearby table.
"so check it out I got word from some contacts the syndicate are moving a lot of merchandise to the docks and shipping it out to somewhere. I bet if we go down there and scope it out we might be able to figure out where it's heading." Peirce said as he finished his game and joined Marcus at the table.
"Hmm, why would they be sending out merchandise. Alright let's go take a look." Marcus and Pierce left the pub but not before the man at the corner of the bar had spotted Marcus and was floored by what he was seeing. He reached for his phone and frantically dialed his bosses number.
"Hey boss, Your not gonna believe who I just seen leave the pub. I be seeing a dead man walking about."
