At the end of August was when Leon finally flew to Iceland for the program. It was a long flight, and Leon stared out the window for most of it, not finding the mental energy to pick up his phone or any video games to play with his portable consoles. The scenery was nice, though, and being just lucky enough to get a window seat, Leon stared out of it. Watching the sun set into the ocean was a calming sight, which was something Leon really needed at this moment.

He had been mentally freaking out about Emil finding out, which was bound to happen eventually. Now, seeing Emil for the first time was just hours away, he had been stressing about what actually would happen when he found out. Although he kept on telling himself that anything that happened now was unavoidable and he couldn't do anything to change it, the feeling of stress still mingled with his thoughts in the back of his mind.

However, the slow movement of the plane eventually rocked Leon and his worry stricken mind to sleep.

Emil's heart beat in excitement as Lukas pulled into a parking spot at the airport. This was it, he was going to meet Leon in person. The world was light and the sun shined bright in Emil's world. What a beautiful day.

Lukas, on the other hand, was not as ecstatic about this exchange student coming. Just another kid to take care of. But whatever, his brother seemed happy, and that was one of his main wishes.

They rushed to pick up Leon, Emil half dragging his brother by the wrist. When they finally saw Leon, carrying his suitcases and standing right in the center of the area. Emil stood, frozen. It really was him.

Leon, upon spotting Emil across the room, waved enthusiastically, accidentally dropping one of his suitcases on the ground beside him and falling onto his face. Emil rushed up to him, but, Leon was up on his feet by the time he made it over.

"Hey-" Emil began, but was cut off by Leon hugging him rather tightly. Emil tensed up, as he usually did upon physical contact with someone else. "Le-Leon g-get off..." he stuttered, half-heartedly and gently pushing Leon off of him.

Upon feeling Emil's tenseness, Leon let go of him. Emil stared at him and begin to smile. "Hello, Leon."

Leon laughed. "Emil! I can finally see you! Can I have a greeting kiss?" Leon asked, puckering his lips. Emil's face went red, Leon wanted to... kiss him…

Before Emil could nod, Leon burst out into laughter. "You should see your face right now. I was only joking, man."

"O-oh" Emil's face only went redder, thinking that he had actually believed Leon.

That was when Lukas cut in. "Alright, guys, great, amazing, hilarious, heartwarming meeting, but we need to get Leon back to our house so that he can unpack," he said, grabbing both of them by the collar.

Emil batted at his hand. "Hey, that doesn't mean you have to drag us!" Leon, meanwhile, was attempting to suppress a giggle.

Lukas let them go, Emil stumbling a little. "Fine."

Upon seeing that Leon was struggling to hold up all of his luggage, Emil offered to help, carrying a few bags. The three of them hurried through the airport, prodded by Lukas's constant reminders that they were in a hurry, something Emil frankly did not understand, considering they had no other plans that day.

On the car ride home, Leon and Emil sat in the back. "Hey, Emil."

Emil looked back at him, a slight smile touching the corner of his mouth. "Yes?"

Leon extended his hand towards Emil's cheek playfully. To avoid his finger, Emil leaned back against the edge of the car. Leon suppressed another giggle, eventually succeeding at touching Emil's cheek.

But, Leon's happiness of finally meeting Emil was short-lived, as he reminded himself that Emil was just one step closer to finding out. Just one step closer to losing his friendship.

A/N - Sorry this chapter is late and I haven't been updating my other story as promised, but I've had a musical I'm in and this weekend has really been the first change I've gotten to actually work on this. I'll try to update this story once a week, but no promises.
