Don't worry it will be posted in the next few days! Eek! It's my birthday in 2 days!

Chapter Four

The Letters

The first match of the House Cup was fast approaching: Slytherin versus Gryffindor. Amanda was looking forward to her first match as Slytherin's new Chaser and knew it was an important match, but she did not want to beat Ron and Harry at Quidditch, as they had become quite good friends. She got up extra early and headed down to the pitch, having skipped breakfast, with her Firebolt over her shoulder and a cigarette in her hand. It seemed Harry, Ron and Ginny had had the same idea, as they too, were heading towards the stadium.

"Hey, you're up early!" Ron said brightly as they got closer to each other and the stadium.

"I am always up early!" She snapped at him then sighed. "Anyway, I wasn't going to wait for Draco to get up and come down too. Seriously do not want him watching me change again, creep that he is!" She moaned as they separated into their team's changing rooms. A few minutes later they walked out onto the pitch, mounted their brooms and zoomed off around the stands.

The match was mid way through and Amanda hovered as Ginny scored yet another superb goal for Gryffindor. In the back of her mind she knew that Slytherin would lose but could scrape a decent score if she tried harder to get a goal.

Harry and Draco zoomed past, almost knocking her from her broom, as they chased after the Golden Snitch. Amanda glanced over her shoulder as Harry's fingers closed around the Snitch and earning Gryffindor one hundred and fifty points.

"Gryffindor – four hundred and sixty. Slytherin – three hundred and ninety five. GRYFFINDOR WINS THE FIRST MATCH OF THE SEASON!" Lee Jordon yelled as the teams landed, Amanda smiled to herself as Draco landed furiously beside her. The teams shook hands, when Harry shook her hand a note passed between their fingers as he winked at her. The teams parted to their changing rooms, Amanda instead flew up thirty metres, as the stands began to empty and the rain began to pour, to read the note.

Amanda

I hope you're reading this in private. Malfoy would do his nut if he knew I was writing to you. Haha... anyway, can you meet me in The Three Broomsticks at 1pm this Hogsmead weekend? So we can talk, let me know soon as you can

Harry

Why couldn't he just ask me, she thought, shaking the rain off her hair as she landed on the muddy pitch. Draco ran up to her, his blond hair plastered to his forehead.

"Where the hell have you been?" He demanded, stopping in front of her. "I've been looking all over for you!" He pulled her into the changing room as it began to rain harder, Draco waited outside the door as she changed out of her Quidditch uniform. Amanda opened the door and pulled him inside with her. "What are -?"

"No point getting soaked is there?" She said as she sat down. "Why have ya been looking at me?"

"To give you this." He pulled out an envelope with deep purple writing on it. She opened it and began to read:

My daughter

Do not throw this into the nearest fire as I am sure you wish to. I must apologise for not being able to raise you as a good father should. I must admit that it was a mistake on my part that I did not take up the offer from a very well known family, whom offered to raise you as their own in the wizarding world. Alas we all make mistakes. Had my plan to remove the last obstacle in my way had been successful, you would not have been raised by those dreadful Muggles. I do not know, what horrors you have experienced in their care but I shall ensure that they suffer once you are able to tell me of these events.

I do hope you are enjoying your first term at Hogwarts. I am certain that you, like myself, will excel at every subject available for study – even that pointless Muggle Studies class (which will be the first thing I change once I have control of education). I greatly hope you are living up to your noble blood and would greatly enjoy hearing from you in the following days.

I have some rather joyous news. You are the latest Heir of Slytherin and I, as I am sure you do too, wish to be certain of any future heirs' blood purity. AS such, I have arranged your marriage to a young man whom comes from a very long lineage of Pure Bloods; Draco Malfoy.

I look forward to receiving a letter from you in the near future.

Your father

"You WHAT!?" She spat as she thrust the last page into Draco's hands, he read it quickly and his jaw dropped. "Well Malfoy!?"

"Oh my god! I swear I did not know anything about this!" He said, standing and waving the letter about. She stood and allowed her blue eyes to turn black; Draco stepped back, slightly afraid.

"AND HOW AM I TO KNOW YOU'RE NOT LYING!" She hissed at him before running out into the rain. Draco ran after her but could not see her at all through the rain. He sighed deeply before he ran up to the castle.

Amanda sank to her knees, breathing heavily at the edge of the lake. Once her breathing had returned to normal, she sat down on the roots of a large willow tree before she began to throw rocks into the murky water. Tears mingled with rain as she sat crying. The rain slowed and began to stop as she slowly stood.

The bushes rustled behind her and as fast as lightning she spun, pulling out her wand and aiming at the ancient trees. Out of the forest came a tall, red headed man of eighteen or nineteen; he looked at her and turned as another man followed behind him – twins. She suppressed a smirk as she remembered the memory charm she'd placed on them.

"Shouldn't you be in bed young lady?" The second one said as he and his slightly cuter twin climbed over a small thorn bush.

"Why are you sneaking around the forest? You are not allowed to do that." The cuter twin slid on the mud and she giggled at him. "You're the Weasley twins." She stated, hoping her memory charm did not suddenly wear off.

"Yes we are." The cute twin said quietly, running his hand through his short red hair. "I'm Fred and that's George." He gestured to his twin as he brushed mud from his knees.

"You're the Riddle girl. You were in our shop with Malfoy." George said quietly as he glanced at her. "We're here to see Dumbledore. Want to walk to the castle with us?"

She nodded as he set off up the lawn and faded into the darkness; Amanda bent and picked up her Firebolt. She slipped on a muddy spot, falling into Fred. She blushed, realising that she was on her knees in front of Fred, her eyes level with his hips. He smiled and held out his hand to her, she took it and got to her feet.

"Thanks." Amanda whispered as they caught up with George.

"You weren't very good at scoring today." He said coldly as they continued up the lawn slowly, she raised her eyebrow at him. "We were watching the match."

"Yea well... I didn't really want to beat the Gryffindor team." She mumbled as they reached the front doors. Amanda glanced at her watch and shrieked; it was already past curfew. The doors opened with a creak as Draco and Professor Snape stepped out. They stood in the doorway as Amanda and Fred crossed the threshold.

"Ah Riddle, there you are." Snape said as she and Fred moved aside for George to the enter. "Weasley? I was under the impression that neither of you required educating?"

"We don't. We are here to see the Headmaster, sir." George said smirking. Harry, Ron and Hermione exited the Great Hall as Snape turned and marched away towards his office with Draco in tow. "Hey little bro!"

"Hermione, c'mon, girl time!" Amanda sang as pulled the Gryffindor up the marble stairs and into Moaning Myrtle's bathroom (on purpose), before sitting on the floor. "Oh sweet hell!"

"What's the matter? Did you take a Bludger to your head?" Hermione asked as she gave Amanda a towel and some dry robes.

"I got a letter from my dad -"

"Voldemort sent you a letter?"

"Yea... he, erm, he said... basically, I've got to...shit!"

"Spit it out!" Hermione sighed as Amanda ran a hand through her damp hand.

"He said, I've got to marry... Draco."

"OH MY GOD!"

Amanda and Hermione spun around to see Ron and Harry behind them; Harry's face blank as Ron repeated his previous exclamation.

"Oh my god! You and Malfoy!? Are you serious!?"

"Harry? Are you okay?" Hermione asked as she touched his arm lightly.

"Yea... yea, I'm fine." He mumbled as Amanda looked at her feet. Hermione shut Ron's dropped jaw and began to pull him out of the bathroom.

"Hey... wait!" He began as she got him out of the door and closed it. "Hermione!"

"Don't be so dense Ronald!" Hermione yelled as Amanda sank to her knees and sobbed while Harry stared at her coldly.

"Were you going to tell me?" He said eventually, the anger in his voice unnerving her. "Were you actually going to marry him?"

"No. I don't fancy him! I fancy -" She cut herself off and looked at the door, where she could hear Hermione resisting Ron's efforts to get back into the room. Amanda stood up and wobbled slightly as she wiped her eyes.

"Who then? Who do you fancy?"

"YOU!"

They stood in silence for a moment before Harry moved towards her. She looked at her feet again and when she looked up, Harry was stood directly in front of her. He smiled and pulled her into a tight hug.

"I feel the same way." He whispered in her ear as they stood in each other's arms. Ron suddenly burst into the bathroom with Hermione clinging to his arm, still trying to pull him away.

"OH! Sorry!" He said as Amanda's eyes darkened slightly. "We'll leave you two alone." He went, pulling a startled Hermione with him as Harry laughed quietly.

"Does this mean that we're an item?" Harry asked as he pushed her hair behind her ears. She smiled and nodded as they left the bathroom. "Goodnight sweetie." He said quietly, disappearing up the stairs in the direction of Gryffindor Tower. She waved to him and climbed down the marble staircase to the Slytherin common room. She climbed through the portrait hole and noticed that the room was full of students; all laughing at the same thing. Pansy ran over to her and dragged her into a shadowy corner.

"Is it true?" She said quietly "you're getting married to Draco?"

"NO!"

The room fell silent and turned to stare at them.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT?!" She stood up and stormed off up to bed, she lay down and listened to the sounds around her. The house slowly settled down to sleep as did the girls in her dorm.

At least Harry understands she thought as she, too, began to drift off.
