Narumi finds out deep secrets about Yuka and Mikan. She finds out that Mikan has an Alice to steal Alices. However, in order to hide it from the school and the Kagekis, Miss Himemiya and Narumi decided to lie about Mikan's Alice and gave her a substitute which is a Shield Alice. Chapter 5: New Friends, New Team
"Whose there?!"
Mikan stumbled her words as she felt sudden Goosebumps.
"If you are a fake ghost, i'm going to report it to you Mr. Narumi!"
Suddenly a girl appeared. Her bluish ocean hair covered her face but if you looked at her closely she had beautiful light blue eyes with a pale face. She was quite taller than Mikan and wore a white plain dress and was barefoot.
"Aw, please don't do that...I've been bored for a few days now."
Her sweet voice fluttered around the room.
A knock on Mikan's door was heard. It was Miss Yamada.
"Mikan, I heard a scream in there. Are you alright?"
Mikan looked at the girl. The girl then did a hush hand signal as she puts her index finger on her small lips while she mouths the words quietly,
"Please don't," with her innocent looking eyes.
Mikan felt a sudden doubt what will happen if she doesn't tell Miss Yamada but her conscious was stronger.
"It's okay mum! Um-um a cockroach approached my bed!"
"Oh okay, well find me downstairs if you need anything. Im just going to patrol around the dormitory right now. Goodnight Mikan," replied Miss Yamada.
"Oh thankyou thankyou so much! The girl cheered but quietly while she grabbed Mikan's hand.
She sat on Mikan's double bed that was covered with a white bed sheet.
"Don't you love this place? It's quiet and big here. The biggest out of all the girl's dormitory. You must be Mikan right? I've been so excited to meet you!"
"How-how do you know everything? And how do you know me?"
"Oh hahaha," the girl laughed.
"Sorry for being rude. I'm Nobara," she said happily.
"But-but what are you doing here? It's impossible to come here, since the Alice barrier is used unless..."
"Teehee, yes I am your roommate. Im so glad I finally had someone to share this lonely room. "
Nobara laughed as she sees Mikan in a total dumbfounded face as her jaw dropped low with her big bulgy eyes of hers popping up. Mikan continuously rubbed her eyes to make Nobara disappear as she was like in a dream, but didn't disappear. So Mikan slapped her face hard and Nobara still stood right infront of her and so she slapped herself again until her face left a red hand mark on her cheeks.
"Aw are you trying to chase me away?" Nobara said with a frown.
"Haha but you're too funny! Your face is all red. Hahaha."
Mikan blushed.
"You-you, whoever you are or Nobara whatever it's called, I think you should get-get ou-out..." Stuttered Mikan.
"Mr Narumi never mentioned you."
"Oh, well then looks like you know me now."
Nobara giggled.
She walked towards Mikan. Mikan stepped backwards as she fell onto the carpet near the fireplace in front of her bed.
"Why are you so scared? It's my first time seeing someone really scared of me. I'll show you proof who I really am," Nobara said.
She walked towards the fireplace and placed her hand on the scorching fire.
Mikan was entirely surprised and took her hand away from the fire.
"Are you crazy?!"
"Hahahaha... I sensed you weren't a bad person. You're worried about me."
She smiled.
Mikan still held the burnt skin of Nobara's hand.
"Oh don't worry about my hand. Look at this."
Nobara smirked.
Her hand started to heal back to its normal self which was soft and smooth, showing her elegant long fingers.
Mikan stepped back and shook her head,
"What just happened?!"
"Haha, I told you I'll show you the proof who I really am. I have a healing Alice. I can recreate, relive and bring back to life what's dead."
"Wooow! So cool!" Mikan said amazedly forgetting why Nobara was there.
"Looks like you changed your mood."
Nobara smirked.
"I-im I'm sorry for being scared at you at first! Im not use to all this Alice things… and I just thought you didn't belong here because of your d-re..."
"My dress?"
"Yeah-yeah…"
"Im wearing this lousy dress because I came from the hospital."
"Did anything happen to you?"
"Oh it's just my body. It's naturally weak, so I usually always end up in the hospital. Do you know how boring it is there?"
Mikan shook her head.
"No one is allowed to visit you then you have to eat healthy yucky food. You got anything to eat?"
"No sorry."
"Well next time sneak in one."
Nobara winked.
Nobara sighed and looked out to the terrace that faced towards a forest. She looked at the beautiful night blue sky with tinkling stars.
"Do you know what, since you'll be my new best friend and my new roommate, I'll tell you something very important! Of course it's only between us."
She smiled and looked at Mikan who was standing near the terrace.
She then looked up again into the sky.
"Mikan have you ever fallen in love with someone to the point you would die for them?" Said Nobara with a solemn voice.
Mikan stared at her confusingly.
"Of course I have." Mikan said proudly.
"There's my mum and Mr. Mao."
Nobara started to burst in laughter.
"You are indeed still a kid."
"What do you mean Nobara? You did say if I love anyone to the point I would die for them," Mikan said while being confused.
"I didn't mean that...I mean love someone who you want to cherish but isn't meant to..."
Mikan started to scratch her head.
"Are you feeling okay Nobara? I feel that you're in another world."
"Hahaha, that's right Mikan I am in another world. I am lost like those stars up there."
There was a moment of silence.
Nobara took a deep breath then exhaled.
"Well I got to go. I'll talk to you sometime Mikan. Next time, I'll tell you what it is when you're ready. Oh by the way, let me give you an advice. Eat as much as you can, or else, you'll regret it when one day you end up in the hospital."
She winked and jumped down the terrace.
Mikan was surprised and ran to the fence of the terrace.
Mikan yelled,
"Nobara are you okay?"
But there was no answer.
The next day, Mikan was easily awoken by Miss Yamada, as she was still fully awake in shock of Nobara's arrival. She went up to the mirror in the bathroom and looked at herself.
"AHHHHHHHH!" She screamed
"I look like a total buffoon!"
She had heavy eye bags with messy hair covering her whole face.
Mrs Yamada knocked on the door.
"Mikan, you better get dressed. You have to be downstairs as you will have your breakfast and after that there will be a meeting for the newcomers."
"Yeah, of course, I'll be there mum!"
"Okay sweetie. Be downstairs in 5 minutes prox."
Mikan stared at herself on the mirror.
"Wait 5 minutes?! Oh my noodles! I got to get ready!"
She quickly took a shower. She opened the draw and saw a uniform just like other junior girls. She wore a black jacket and a white collar with a red ribbon in the middle with a plaid skirt above her knees and wore knee high black boots. She then tied her hair into two pigtails.
"Wow I look cute but 10 times less than Hotaru. Well I better go."
She went downstairs and saw Miss Yamada at the reception.
"Hey sweetie! You look so adorable!"
"Thanks mum!"
She said happily while blushing.
"Well let's go Mikan."
"Huh? Where?"
Mikan followed Miss Yamada outside the junior's dormitory and headed towards the teleporting rollercoaster (Mentioned in Chapter 4).
"Tada!" Miss Yamada exclaimed.
"Yay! Are we getting teleported somewhere?"
"Mhm." Miss Yamada smiled.
"Well come on."
The rollercoaster was ordinary. However, before you sat down, there would be an electronic board that asked you for your destination. There was a lot of destination that showed up the board such as the Administrator office, the Senior dormitory, The Town centre and much more. Miss Yamada clicked onto the destination ' Junior Hall.' It then said destination will only take 10 seconds.
"Um mum. Can't we just walk there since its only 10 seconds?"
"Oh Mikan. It's a teleporter. If we walk it'll be more than 5 minutes."
"But isn't that lazy?"
"Hahaha…oh Mikan, why don't we just use it when its front of you? Well shall we."
She opened a two seater seat that had a transparent cover like a helicopter.
"Come on Mikan. Sit."
Mikan sat while an automatic seatbelt went across her body.
"Woow so cool!" She said excitedly.
"Well enjoy the ride!"
The door shut itself, and an automatic computer voice was heard.
Welcome Mikan and Miss Yamada to the Teleporting Rollercoaster 1.1. Is your destination at the Junior Hall?
Miss Yamada replied with a "yes."
If that so, the travel will be in 10 seconds. For any emergency please click the big red button infront of your seat. Enjoy the ride. Have a nice day. Take off will be in 5 seconds.

"Oh it scans you from head to toe to recognise your figure."

"Mikan get ready."
"Huh why?"

The seat accelerated as fast as light years and swirled around the rollercoaster tracks and into the sky then vanishes into thin air.
And in exactly 10 seconds, the rollercoaster landed infront of the Hall.

Then the Rollercoaster vanished.
"That-was-awesome!" Mikan exclaimed.
"Well come on Mikan. Were late."
They stood infront of a huge one store building. It was made in bricks but the double glass door made the place more modern. There were plants and ferns that hanged around the building and an arch window that reflected the sunlight into the room. As they enter, Mikan jaws dropped. The room had black tiles that spread across the floor and was brightened by the white wall. There were glass tables and for every person, in front of them had a small hologram where you can easily order and choose the food you want to eat. It would vanish after you took an order. There was a talking bin allocated for every table, which you can dump your empty plates in but would reject it if it notices any food leftovers. There was also some robots running around, serving them their orders. The room was filled with a delicious aroma of burgers, steak, fish, fries and more! But what made the room breath-taking was when everyone used their Alices. Some were eating their burgers while up in the air and someone who had an elastic hand, stole food from others sneakily. It was no ordinary Hall.
"Wow!" Mikan exclaimed.
She glanced left to right.
"Well Mikan, please sit somewhere. Mr. Narumi will give a speech soon."
Mikan wondered around the hall.
"Where should I sit?" She said to herself.
"Hmmm…where's Hotaru sitting?"
She looks around. Everyone sat in groups as you could tell as most of the people with masks on their faces sat together and of course, the Magnetic Girls sat around a table all to themselves.
"Gotcha, I see Hotaru! Woohoo! Hotaru!" Mikan shouted across the Hall.
Hotaru sat around with three guys. There was one spot free beside her.
"Hi Hotaru! I didn't know you were a lady killer."
Mikan winked and nudged her.
Hotaru sighed.
"What are you doing here newbie?"
Before Mikan can reply, the guy next to her spoke in the squeakiest voice.
"That's something new. Never new Hotaru had a girl friend."
"You must be the first," the other guy said who sat across Mikan.
"By the way my name is Hayate Matsudaira. I have the Alice to build great things to much greater ones! You know the Rollercoaster 1.1? I made that."
"That thing was so amazing! Oh my noodles. I just spoke to the most awesome designer! How did you make it? What material? How did you come with the name? Why did you make it? Where did you make it?"
"Haha, you got one weird friend I tell you Hotaru," Hayate replied.
"A talkative one too."
"She's not my friend," Hotaru mumbled while reading her book.
"And yes that glass nerd with such a squeaky voice is Yu Tobita."
"Hey stop it! Don't be mean!" Yu said angrily.
"Let me introduce myself properly. My name is Yu Tobita, just call me Toto in short. I am in the Common type category. I am proud to have the Game Alice. I create games for us and for the Non-Alice. My latest invention is trying to make people be in the game. Once I finish, do you want to be my tester Mikan?"
Mikan nod repeatedly.
"Yes please yes!"
Then Mikan stopped.
"Pstt- Hayate. Who's the guy with the mask?"
The guy was soundly asleep leaning back on his chair.
"Oh yeah this guy is the master of all technologies."
"Master?"
"Yes, as you can see he has the mask. He's one mad child. He can kill thousands."
Mikan gulped.
"Shut up Hayate. You're making her scared."
He stood up with his back straight. He had an odd looking purple mask that was shaped as a mouse.
He yawned.
"Im Hajime Yakumo. I have the Technology Alice."
"Um Yakumo, why do you have bandages all around your neck?"
Yakumo glared at her.
"Seriously Hotaru where did you get this girl from? She's seriously so noisy."
Mikan frowned.
"Well my mama says that you need to ask questions so you know the person more."
"Hahahaah" Yakumo laughed.
"This kid is interesting. Okay fine I give up, I'm actually hiding cables. It's malfunctioning, so I got to cover it up. I'm actually a cyborg."
"WHHHHHHAAAAT!?" Mikan screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Seriously Mikan, you are so annoying."
Hotaru shut her book.
"You always give me the headache.
Mikan suddenly sat quietly.
"Aw you're like a puppy. Hotaru you trained her well."
"Shut up Yamada." Hotaru replied.
"And yes he's a cyborg indeed. He's half human and half computer. His parents kinda did an experiment on him, so that's why he turned out like that. However, we thank his parents because without this guy we won't be able to invent things during the Games as we need him to charge our inventions. He's like a charger you see." Said Yamada.
"Wait…" Mikan paused.
"Don't tell me you guys are the…"
"Yep. Well Mikan you are facing the group, the 'Techies.'"
"No way!" Mikan said excitedly.
"Why didn't you tell me you're in the best five Hotaru?!"
Hotaru sighed, rolled her eyes, and mumbled,
"I seriously need to make earplugs for myself."
"Count me in," said the other three at the same time who started laughing.
"Hey! That's mean!" Mikan said sobbingly.
"Ahem!" A voice boomed across the Hall.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned around where Mr. Narumi stood along with Miss Yamada and Mr Boomer on a small stage near the entrance.
"Good morning to you all juniors."
"Good Morning Mr. Narumi," everyone replied.
"Today is a much special day as today you guys will confirm your groups for the Games."
Everyone cheered and clapped.
"Of course, you get to choose your own groups. However, the people who does not have a group, which are mainly the newcomers are put into a draw. But first e shall all clap for the newcomers to welcome them. All the new students, please stand."
Mikan stood up with another 50 other junior newcomers.
"Let's give them a hand!"
Everyone clapped, and as Mikan looked around adoring the claps, she sees the Magnet Girls poking tongues at her.
Mikan frowned and sat down.
"Pst Mikan don't worry, we'll help you crush them at the first round of the Games," said Tobita while grinning.
Mikan smiled widely.
Mr Narumi continued.
"However, there's a plot twist this year. We had decided to choose the groups for the newcomers."
Whispers spread across the room.
"Isn't that bias? What if they put all the powerful ones together?"
"I don't really care. I just want to know who's with Natsume."
"Yeah and Ruka."
"Okay guys, please stop the mutters. Of course I decided it with the school staff members. We made it fair and square to make sure that the groups we formed for the newcomers are equal. So I shall announce them now…"
Mikan readily awaits to be called.
"This is going to be interesting," Hotaru said while smirking.
After the 6th group was called, Narumi continued,
"The second last group we've made will be Ruka, Natsume and a newcomer."
Whispers spread across the room.
"We decided to put only one newcomer. Of course, I had told you about Nobara. She can no longer be with them in the Games but she did happily tell me that she is doing well and is pleased to see another new member to be in their group."
"Wait….Nobara? Isn't that the ghost? The healing girl?" Mikan thought.
"And that girl is Sakura Mikan."
Everyone turned around and gleamed at Mikan.
Hotaru nudged her.
"Dude that's you."
"What-?"
"WAIT WHAT-WAIT WHATTTT?"
