ROSE IS SAFE! "Different tribe, different way of life." That played out for the best!

Did you really think I would put Rose in any mortal danger? Never!

So, time to get inside Rose's head. How will she handle being forced to sit it out?

Sit back and find out!

Love always,

Avoline

Rose paced around the large room. It had only been an hour, but she felt she was loosing her mind. She hated being on the sidelines. She wanted to be there with him! She could hold her own, for the love of God! Why was he forcing her to stay here?

"Please, calm down, Miss Tyler," Veesa requested softly. "He only means to protect you."

"I know, but I can't stand it," she nearly shouted. "I want to be out there with him, not stuck in some room!" She sat on the floor, her shoulders resting on the wall. "I need to make sure that he'll come back in one piece." Veesa strode to the blond's side and crouched next to her.

"You have already lost so much," she began. "You worry for his safety, just like he worries for yours. And yet, you fail to see the worry of the other." Rose stared at her in awe.

"How do you," she whispered.

"The way you look at him says everything," the green princess explained. "I can see the fear, the love, the pain of loss. His are the same." She patted Rose's shoulder. "Maybe one day you will stop worrying." Rose let her mind wander as the princess stood and walked back to the table.

He had worried over her a lot. Even when she first ran off with him, he worried over her. He chased down the people who took her in Victorian Cardiff, nearly killed a man in that underground museum, and nearly went homicidal during that game show, if anyone could call it that. And that was just the first Regeneration.

The next face was a bit more carefree, but still very protective of her. She would never forget sensing his rage when her face was "stolen", or his anger when those space colonist tried to leave with her. By that point, she knew how he felt, even if he wouldn't say it. She knew, and she was sure that he knew about how she felt. For fuck's sake, she had kissed that face more than any other.

The Metacrisis version of him wasn't that different. He nearly beat Mickey to death once when the poor boy had kissed her once. She didn't speak to him for a week, but she was proud of him for defending her.

But then he died. They all did. And she was left all alone, with now way to get back to the Doctor. She knew she would be safe so long as she could find him. Despite all the near death experiences, he always came through for her. And she had faith that he would.

Two hours later, and still no word from the Doctor. Rose's heart raced in her chest. This was how it started with Mickey and Tony. And her dad and mum. She felt the panic grow within her. Why would he not just get a mobile? At least then she could call him and make sure he was okay. Hell, he could text her and let her know if he was hurt!

She took a deep breath. This was the Doctor. He always came through just fine, with the occasional regeneration. He could handle whatever the universe threw at him. Even her.

That's what she had thought about Mickey and her mum.

The panic grew within her. She just wanted him safe, unharmed, and by her side. How hard is it for the universe to grant her that?

She sat in a corner and hugged herself. He would be fine. She just had to keep reminding herself of that.

He would be just fine.

He would be just fine.

Or would he?
