A/N: Welcome back everyone! It's been a while, huh? Well, time to get this party started! Woo Hooo! You'll notice that Alice is Back! I haven't forgotten about the Amity Park people, they just haven't come in with the plot, yet. There's an enemy that my friend introduced, he's just called '4'. I had to put Vlad away for now, but he'll be back. People have been asking about Dani. Well. She's coming. Disclaimer: I do not own Young Justice nor Danny Phantom.

Gotham: July 4, 12 pm.

It was just your average day in Gotham, especially at this time of the year. Everyone was at the park, partaking in various family time activities. Everyone had a little bit of sweat forming on their bodies, mostly because of the exertion of energy they were doing. Some were out grilling, others were playing family sports like soccer or volleyball. Everything seemed to be so peaceful…Until an ice ball came rolling down the hill.

Everyone was startled, and soon what used to be a peaceful sunny afternoon turned into a mid-day chaos. As quickly as the ice ball came, a freeze ray beam soon took its place. It froze many of the civilians who were trying to run out of its range, but it was unforgiving. The ice ray must have went off several times, and, in the process froze many people. Snow started to form and fall gently from nowhere, making it seem as though this was just another average day occurrence.

Suddenly, a cliff formation was covered in a thick layer of ice around the edges, and a man, known as Dr. Freeze made his presence known as he stood at the top of the cliff and looked grimly at the disturbed citizens below. He had his freeze gun ready before saying in an almost mocking tone, "Enjoying family time?"

He released a freeze beam down at a family who was looking up in fear. "My family has other plans", he said as he narrowed his eyes. As the smoke from the gun cleared, the family was frozen in a block of ice, and Dr. Freeze, who seemed indifferent about his acts of villainy, slid down the cliff and landed on the grass that hadn't been iced over. He then loaded his gun at a few more citizens and was prepared to fire…When a bat-a-rang came out of nowhere and collided with the deadly weapon. Dr. Freeze looked around in annoyance before questioning where this all too familiar projectile had come from. "Batman?" He asked as he glared and repositioned himself. "I was wondering when…" He said as he turned to where the bat like weapon had come from. He was expecting to find the bat himself, but instead he found no one. Instead, he was greeted by a chilling boyish laughter. It echoed around the area, and it seemed to have brought the cold doctor a little on edge.

He then looked up at the cliff that he had once stood at and was caught off guard at the masked boy who came crashing down and landed on his helmet. The boy then kicked off and did a flip in the air before landing gracefully on the ground, with a smirk plastered on his face. He wasted no time in getting his red and silver projectiles at the villain.

Dr. Freeze, who fell to the ground because of the sudden gain and loss of weight on him, was just glaring at the boy with an unamused face. As the projectiles came at the man, he didn't flinch or seemed surprise, his helmet, however, started to crack.

"Well", he said in a monotone like voice, "Boy wonder". He got up slowly and stood up, his eyes never leaving Robin's. Robin didn't seem to surprise at any of this, after all, he had been doing this for years. "The Bat sent you to drag me off to prison…Frankly I'm underwhelmed", he said as he prepared his freeze ray once again.

"Great", Robin said, his smirk finally leaving his face, "But I'm kind of in a hurry here", he said, waving his arm around to show emphasis.

"Kids…" Freeze said, "Always in such a rush". This time, however, Freeze smiled grimly.

Robin just narrowed his eyes at the ice man. "Not talking to you…" Robin said in annoyance, and if his eyes hadn't been behind a mask, they would have been rolled at that statement. Dr. Freeze was about to fire his weapon, if it hadn't been for the fact that he just now realized that Robin hadn't been alone. He quickly looked behind him and saw The Batman flying into the air and covered the sun from Freeze's perspective, his pointed cape making it look as if it were a bat.

The ice man's eyes grew wide and his mouth opened, as if he were to gasp in surprise. Through his cracked see through helmet he could see the Bat, and he couldn't stop it, Batman raised an arm back and punched as he came into contact with Dr. Freeze.

Star City: July 4, 9:01 A.M.

The big Star City Bridge was suspended across the ocean. It was faintly lit up due to the fact that the sun hadn't come up all the way to light the beautiful city with natural light. Cars were going across in a hurry. Fellow citizens were going across the bridge to get into the city, they had to provide for their families. The day was heading off to a great start…

That is until, a human icicle dropped down onto the bridge, seemingly out of nowhere. As he landed onto the bridge, a thick layer of ice formed at his feet, startling the drivers of the cars. The ice boy stood up slowly before suddenly raising his hands above his head, and as he did so, a huge wall of ice came crashing up. One car couldn't get out of the way fast enough, and as a result it flipped itself over as it collided with the danger. All it took was one car, and soon there was a car pileup on the bridge. The ice boy saw the damage that was taking place and laughed gleefully as he raised his arms above his head.

His laughter, however, was cut short. Three arrows were shot into the wall, this alerted the ice boy into what was happening. He stopped laughing and looked at the green arrows on the wall in confusion. The poor soul never heard the beeping from one arrow. He stopped looking at the wall and went to look ahead of him, but was stopped from doing so because the beeping arrow was shot into his shoulder. Seconds later it had went off. Then after that, the arrows that were in the wall were blown up as well. A smoke screen covered the area, and the ice boy grabbed his head in pain. It was then at this time that he looked up and noticed to figures standing on one of the arches of the bridge, a red and green one.

In unison they both took an arrow from their quivers and loaded them onto the bow. The boy seemed ecstatic that he had a challenger.

"Finally! I was wondering what a guy had to do to get a little attention around here!" He yelled out before raising his arms to the side. They were covered in ice, but then they began to vibrate. He lunged his arms towards the two heroes and flying ice projectiles came at them.

"He said he was doing this for attention?" Speedy said as he released his arrow at the ice that was coming at them. It collided with its target and exploded in the air. However, he had missed a few of the icicles. Green Arrow and Speedy ran down the side of the bridge, all the while dodging the ice that came after them. "I'm telling you this now, this had better not interfere", Speedy said grimly as he cartwheeled away from an oncoming icicle. The two archers then released their arrows, and the ice boy growled in frustration before raising an ice wall to protect himself. The arrows had embedded themselves into the thick wall of ice. Seconds after, they exploded, leaving a small hole in the ice wall in front of the ice boy. Annoyed, the ice lad sent more ice towards the two archers.

Speedy jumped into the air and grabbed an arrow from his quiver as he flipped into the air. He laded his bow before shooting the arrow at its intended target. It grazed the boy's cheek before knocking him unconscious, he fell to the ground as Speedy and Green Arrow landed.

Green Arrow examined the unconscious boy before chuckling in amusement, "Kid had a glass jaw".

"Hilarious", Speedy said dryly, "Can we go? Today's the day", he said impatiently.

Pearl Harbor: July 4, 6:02 A.M.

It was snowing, the winter had been unforgiving to the desolate ships that were trapped in the ice that was holding it captive. Rust was starting to form on the boats and the gentle snow that was falling had made everything seem like it was normal…As normal as it could get out here, at least.

A woman was shooting ice rays from her hands towards Aquaman who was running and dodging the ice beams along the ship's icy surface. He jumped from one floor of the ship to the next artfully and skillfully. However, as he was getting closer to the woman, she froze the hero in a block of ice. Aquaman seemed surprised for a second before refocusing on the woman in front of him. His side kick, Aqualad, came flying down from nowhere as he landed in front of his king and started to approach the enemy. Aquaman broke out of his ice prison easily before joining his sidekick.

"Don't tell me you're not excited", Aquaman mumbled in a low masculine voice. Surprisingly, though, his partner could hear him.

"Right now my king, I am more focused at the task at hand", Aqualad said grimly as he looked at the woman shooting ice rays. She smiled as she raised her hands at the two of them. Aqualad jumped into the air and grabbed tow objects from his back. Aqualad had black tattoos along his arms, and as he brought the two objects out, they had turned into a vibrant blue. As he brought them to the front, water appeared to be fading out of them. The water shifted into two maces and the young side kick swung down into the ice ray fearlessly. They were frozen, due to the ice, however Aqualad showed no surprise. It was like he knew what the result would be. The woman widened her eyes a little before trying to take a step back. Aqualad wouldn't let her as he brought his frozen water maces back up and knocked the woman backwards as the ice shattered.

The woman fell to the ground, unconscious. As Aqualad brought the two objects back behind his back, the tattoos that were lit up blue went back to black along his arms. The young sidekick looked at his partner, who had his arms crossed.

"Well?" Aquaman asked in an almost teasing manner.

"Yes, I'm excited. Today's the day", Aqualad said with a smile on his face.

Central City: July 4, 11:03 A.M.

The two speedsters were outside the store, which was broken into by a man wearing an eskimo coat. The store doors had been overrun with ice, and as of right now, the three of them were out in the street. Flash and Kid Flash were both circling around the robber who was standing in the middle of a circle. This served as a barrier so the man couldn't escape. The man, who was growing more aggressive by the minute starting shooting off an ice gun, fortunately he missed the two heroes.

He kept shooting his gun, and he kept missing. Instead of hitting the two speed demons, he managed to ice over a car instead.

"Stealing ice…Seriously?" The Flash asked as he looked sympathetically towards the villain. "Isn't that a bit cliché? Even for Captain Cold?"

The man didn't say anything, he only bit his bottom lip and fired his gun again, only to be met with the same results.

"Come on! We don't have time for this!" Kid Flash yelled out as he brought down his goggles that were on the top of his head over his eyes. He then decided to break out of the circle and charge directly at the target. The man saw the red headed youth and aimed his gun towards him. Kid Flash tried to dodge out of the way of the beam, but got grazed on the shoulder by it.

He grimaced at the sudden cold, but then ran up to the man and took the gun from his hands. The man, who looked at the thief narrowed his eyes as he growled. He started to tremble with rage, and was about to go after the boy when Flash aimed a punch right in the man's face. The man was knocked unconscious, and Kid Flash ran towards his mentor.

"Calm down, kid", Flash said as he grinned a little at his own cheekiness.

"Oh, come on", Kid Flash said in annoyance, "You'll chat it up with the cops, bystanders, Captain Cold even! No. No way. Today's the day!" Kid flash said as he smirked excitedly.

Star City: July 4, 4:32 A.M.

The quiet city was in darkness, the sun had not come up. The rats were scampering down the alleyways. It was quiet, too quiet. Any city wasn't this quiet, unless of course people were hiding.

The eerie ghostly glow of Phantom lit up the surrounding area. The quiet footsteps of Hydrowave soon followed.

"I'm telling you he went down this way…" Danny said as he narrowed his eyes. He couldn't see through the heavy and thick darkness, but he licked to believe that he could.

"He couldn't have went very…far…" Alice said as she bent down to look for anything the target may have dropped.

"What? Did you find something?" Danny asked curiously as he hovered a little closer to her. She only shook her head.

"Even if I did, we lost sight of Vertigo an hour ago…I doubt it would do us much good if I did find something", Alice said as she shrugged her shoulders and stood up slowly.

"Still, how could he have disappeared like that?" Danny asked as he landed on the ground softly.

"Well, it is Vertigo. He cou-"

At that moment a giant man emerged from the shadows and stood in front of them. Alice quickly stopped talking and summoned water to her hand. It quickly turned into a sword, and Danny formed ectoplasm into his hand, and shaped it to be that of a sword as well.

"Who are you? Who do you work for?" Danny asked as he narrowed his eyes at the mysterious man that came out of the shadows.

'Like he didn't learn that from Batman', Alice thought dryly as she rolled her eyes.

The man didn't say anything, in fact, he only smiled at the two in front of them. "Who are you?" The man mimicked in Danny's voice as his eyes grew a deep shade of red.

Danny and Alice took a step backwards as shivers went up their spines. "Who is this guy?" Danny asked as he held his sword tighter in his hand.

"He sounds a little like you, maybe your brother from another mother?" Alice said as she took a step closer to the man.

"Wow, and I thought my humor was bad", Danny said as he smirked.

"Shut it", Alice said back to Danny before quickly rushing the enemy. She swung at the man, but her sword went right through the man's body. Her eyes went wide with surprise, the man then morphed into a little boy with dirty blonde hair.

"I don't understand, why are you hurting me?" The boy asked to her in tears, suddenly he broke out into a sadistic grin and morphed back into the monstrous man and raised his arm to strike. Hydrowave, who was caught off guard by the sight, was sent flying into the wall from the punch.

"Hydrowave!" Danny yelled at his partner. She didn't reply back, and this monstrosity was obscuring his view. He narrowed his eyes before he charged at the creep.

"Phantom! Watch out, he's not a little boy!" Alice yelled out behind the man. Danny rose an eyebrow in confusion, he had no idea what she was talking about, because only she had seen the little boy within the man.

He raised his arm and slashed through the man, before seeing a crying little boy.

"Why? Please, stop!" The child yelled, but Danny had heard the warning, he knocked the boy in the back of the head with his other free hand. The boy looked surprised before he was knocked unconscious. The man who had once been standing then morphed into a child.

"Alice! Are you okay?" Danny asked in alarm as he ran over to her.

"Yeah", she said through clenched teeth before looking over at the boy as she slowly stood up. "What is he?"

"I don't know…But he was a number 'four' on his shirt…"

Washington, D.C. July 4, 14:00

So many great pieces of history was built in this city. It brings respect and visitors from all over the world. This is also where the Hall of Justice is found…

All the heroes with their sidekicks had gathered around the entrance of the great building. Well…Everyone except for Flash and Kid Flash. They were nowhere to be seen.

Batman put a comforting hand on Robin's shoulder, "Today's the day".

"Welcome to the Hall of Justice", Green Arrow said, almost as if he were a tour guide.

"Headquarters of the Justice League", Aquaman said proudly.

"Oh, man!" Came Kid Flash's faint voice. The group turned around to see Kid Flash and Flash getting to the Hall last. "I knew we'd be the last ones here!" Kid Flash said as he crossed his arms and pouted. Flash only smiled gently at his partner.

The group was heading towards the entrance of the Hall of Justice, although the group could have done without the swarming tourists, they were still happy nonetheless.

"Is that batman?" Came a tourist.

"Look, It's Flash and Flash Jr.!"

"His name is Speedy…"

"…Yeah…"

"No, Speedy's Green Arrow's sidekick!"

"Well…That makes…No sense".

"Ready to see the inner sanctum?" Green Arrow asked Speedy who looked at his mentor with a great smirk.

"Born that way", Speedy said confidently.

Aqualad looked around the area, "I'm glad we're all here".

"Have all four sidekicks ever been at the same place at the same time?" Kid Flash said happily.

"Don't call us sidekicks. Not after today", Speedy said as he glared at Kid Flash.

"Sorry…First time at the Hall. I'm a little overwhelmed", Kid Flash said as he smiled.

"You're overwhelmed, Freeze was underwhelmed…Why isn't anyone just…Whelmed?" Robin said, more to himself than the others he was with.

They finally entered the Hall. Along the inside there were statues of the most well-known heroes in the world. Superman was placed in the front respectively.

"Oh, maybe that's why", Robin said in amazement as he looked up at the luxurious bronze statues. The steel doors opened up and Martian Manhunter along with Red Tornado stood in front of them. They walked out to greet the group.

"Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, welcome", Martian Manhunter said as he then turned around and headed back through the door he had come from. Robin and Kid Flash gave each other thumbs ups and other excited hand gestures. "You now have unlimited access to the gym, our…And of course, our library".

"Make yourselves at home", Flash announced, and Robin didn't have to be told twice. He jumped onto the sofa gracefully as Kid Flash and Aqualad took a seat. Speedy was waiting for something else to happen, but he only glared at the group of heroes that were talking together at the other side of the room.

"That's it?!" Speedy yelled, it alerted the group of heroes and they turned around. "You promised us a real look inside. Not a glorified backstage pass." Speedy said as he crossed his arms.

"It's a first step", Aquaman tried to reason, "You've been granted access few others get".

"Oh really…" Speedy said as he swung his arm to the see through windows. You could see tourists taking pictures through those windows and peering in on the room. "Who cares which side of the glass we're on!"

"Roy…You just need to be patient", Green Arrow said as he stepped forwards to try and calm his partner down.

"What I need is respect," Speedy said as he turned around towards the other three sidekicks. "They're treating us like kids! Worse. Like sidekicks! We deserve better than this."

The other three looked at each other in thought. That, however, wasn't good enough for Roy.

"You're kidding, right? You're playing their game? Why! Today, was supposed to be the day! Step one of becoming full-fledged members of the league!"

"Well, sure", Kid Flash said as he looked at Speedy. "But I thought step one was getting a tour of the HQ?"

"Except the Hall isn't the real league's HQ!" Speedy spit out. This got many surprised face from the other heroes. Speedy wasn't supposed to know that information. "I bet they never told you, all it is is a front for tourists. And a pit stop for catching Zeta beam teleporter tubes to the real thing! An orbiting satellite, called the Watch Tower!"

Green Arrow looked back at Flash and Batman, who crossed his arms. "I know, I know. But I thought maybe we could make an exception?"

Batman narrowed his eyes in response.

"Or not…" Green Arrow trailed.

"You are not helping your cause here, son. Stand down. Or-

"Or what? You're going to send me to my room? And I'm not your son!" Speedy yelled, taunting Aquaman to do something. He then turned to Green Arrow, "I'm not even his…I thought I was his partner…But not anymore."

Speedy took his hat from his head and threw it to the ground in front of Green Arrow. There was shock and surprise from everyone in the room. No one said anything after that performance. Speedy then began to walk towards the exit of the Hall. When he got to Robin, Kid Flash, and Aqualad he looked at them with pitiful eyes. "I guess they were right about you three…You're not ready". And with that, he was out the door.

There was an emergency broadcast on the monitors in the room.

"Superman to Justice League, there's been an explosion at project Cadmus. It's on fire."

"I've had my suspicions about Cadmus. This may present the perfect opportunity to-

"Zatarra to Justice League…Setran is collecting amulets to blow up ze sun".

"Superman…" Batman said, he didn't know which problem to take care of first.

"It's a small fire. Local authorities have it under control", Superman said as he shrugged.

"Then Cadmus can wait", Batman said as he tapped a button on the control panel. "All league members rendezvous at Superman's coordinates. Batman out." He then turned around to the three sidekicks.

"Stay put", he ordered.

"What? Why?" Robin asked in surprise.

"This is a league mission", Aquaman said.

"You're not trained", Flash tried to reason.

"Since when?" Kid Flash said in an outrage.

"I mean you're not trained to be a part of this team", Flash said as he moved his arm to put emphasis on it.

"There will be other missions. When you're ready", Aquaman said calmly.

"But for now. Stay. Put." Batman ordered once again. The rest of the league members walked away to take care of the conflict at hand. Kid Flash crossed his arms in defiance.

Kid Flash scoffed, "Geh, when we're 'ready'? How are we ever supposed to be ready when they treat us like…" he said as he raised his arms up in the air in anger. "Like…Sidekicks!"

"My mentor…My king…I thought he trusted me…" Aqualad said as he looked down in betrayal.

"Trust? They don't even trust us with the basics! They have a special HQ…in space!" Kid Flash yelled in anger as he raised his arms above his head in anger again.

"What else aren't they telling us?" Aquaman said in a sad tone.

Robin sighed, "I have a better question, why didn't we leave with Speedy?" Kid Flash and Aqualad looked down in the floor in regret.

"What is…Project Cadmus?" Aqualad asked, he looked up at Robin.

"Don't know…" Robin said, he then suddenly grew a devious smirk on his face, "But I can find out". He walked over to the monitors and started tapping at the control panel.

"Access Denied", Came the robotic feminine voice.

Robin only looked at the computer before laughing a little, "Heh, wanna bet?" He tapped a few more buttons before the monitor went to a different screen.

"Whoa, how…are you…doing that?" Kid Flash asked in quiet amazement.

"Same system as the Bat Cave", Robin said, his smirk never left his face.

"Access Granted", Came the robotic voice.

"Alright, Project Cadmus, a genetic lab. Here in D.C.", Robin said as an image of a building came up on the screen. "That's all there is…But if Batman's suspicious, maybe we should investigate".

"Solve their case before they do", Aqualad said as he smiled. "It would be poetic justice".

"Hey, they're all about justice!" Robin said, as if to say that it was alright.

"But they said to stay put", Aqualad said, he still wasn't set on the whole idea.

"Yeah, for the burning out the sun mission, not this!" Robin said as he smiled.

"Wait, are you going to Cadmus? Because if you're going, then I'm going!" Kid Flash said as he smiled. They both turned to look at Aqualad.

"Just like that, we're a team on a mission?" Aqualad mumbled.

"We didn't come for a play date", Robin replied. "But you know, there's two people who I know would love a chance at this".

"You're talking about…" Kid Flash said, his eyes wide with realization.

"Then it's settled." Aqualad said as he nodded his head.

"Are you sure you don't know what this kid is?" The police officer asked Phantom and Hydrowave who shook their heads tiredly.

"We told you all we know, officer", Alice said as she tried to stifle a yawn that tried to escape her mouth.

"I see…Well thanks you two. Another job well done", the officer said as he gave a thumbs up at them.

"Call us if anything more comes up", Danny said as the officer nodded.

"Finally, just a…few minutes of sleep…" Alice said as she walked down the police station's steps.

Just then, Danny's phone went off, Alice groaned in reply. "It better be something you related…"

Danny only rolled his eyes before pulling out his phone and answering it. "Yeah? Robin…? Wait…Does Batman know? Project Cadmus?"

At that instant Alice's eyes flew open, and she was fully awake. "Project Cadmus?"

"Yeah, we'll be there, just don't do anything until we're there, okay? Robin…?" Danny pulled the phone away from his ear. "He hung up on me".

"Who cares? Project Cadmus…I knew that Lex Luthor was up to no good. Let's go!" Alice yelled as she stood up suddenly.

"Batman's going to find out about this. And he's not going to be happy", Danny said a she sighed.

"Last time I checked, you're the one who snuck out of Wayne Manner to do the job this morning. Maybe if you had raised your grade up in Home Ec….He wouldn't have had a problem with your super hero antics." Alice said as she smirked.

"Don't be rude…"

By the time Alice and Danny had arrived at Cadmus, there were fires on the building and Danny couldn't help but grimace.

"I really hope Robin didn't cause this…"

"Like that little runt could do this much damage", Alice said as she rolled her eyes.

"You'd be surprised…" Danny said before looking at an open window. "Might as well look around in there…"

"Alright then…hold on", Alice said as she grabbed Danny's hand. They disappeared on the ground floor and then reappeared by the open window, several stories up. "Surprised by teleportation?" Alice asked as she snickered.

"Again…Rude", Danny said as he shook his head before walking down the hallway, Alice recollecting herself not far behind. Up ahead they saw Aqualad look at the elevator, like he had just seen a ghost.

"Aqualad!" Danny yelled, that got his attention, he turned around.

"There was something in the elevator", he said as he gestured toward the now closed elevator.

"Elevators should be shut down", Robin said as he came around the corner. "Phantom, Hydrowave, so glad you could join in on the fun".

"And speaking of fun", Kid Flash said as he got closer to Alice. She just ignored him as she continued towards the elevator.

"This is wrong…" Robin said as he tapped on his glove and a little monitor appeared. "Thought so…This is a high speed express elevator. It doesn't belong in a two story building."

"Neither does what I saw", Aqualad said as he went over to the elevator.

"If there's one of those in here, then there's no doubt in my mind that there's a couple of basement floors", Danny said as he hovered closer to the elevator as well. Aqualad forced the doors open with his hands and looked down the shaft.

Robin went over to the shaft and peered down, "And that's why they needed an express elevator".

Alice raised a hand to offer Danny a high five but he simply ignored it and looked down the shaft with Aqualad. Kid Flash tried to get the high five but Alice quickly put her hand down and walked over to the shaft as well.

Robin shot a grappling hook at the top of the shaft and dropped down the shaft, all while still holding the other end. Aqualad was next to grab onto the wire, and then Kid Flash. Danny hovered down the shaft, all the while holding Alice's hand.

As Robin slowly decreased, he abruptly stopped. "I'm at the end of my rope", he said as he looked around the shaft. He spotted a small edge on the wall and then he swung back and forth gently before landing on a ledge. He poked his glove and a hacking screen showed up.

"Bypassing security", Robin said, and then Danny and Alice came. "There. Go."

Aqualad was getting ready to open it with his hands again.

"I have an easier solution", Danny said as he turned the doors intangible. Kid Flash and Aqualad looked shocked. After all, they hadn't worked with Phantom that often to get to know his powers.

"What…How. But…" Kid Flash sputtered out.

"Don't ask questions, just go", Alice said as she pushed Kid Flash from behind.

As the group all paused at the hallway, they all gasped.

"Welcome to Project Cadmus", Robin said in surprise.

"Well…this doesn't look like a genetic lab", Alice said as she crossed her arms.

"Unless of course it's scary movie genetic lab", Danny said as he landed on the ground softly.

Kid Flash suddenly ran out into the area, probably to look around.

"Kid, wait!" Aqualad said in a hushed voice.

Kid Flash kept running…that is until he was face to face with giant genomes. Startled, he tripped over his own two feet and came crashing to the floor. He let out a scream in surprise. He cowered his head and looked up exactly as one of the monstrous beasts was about to stomp on his head.

"You really are an idiot, aren't you?" He heard a voice right next to him. He looked and saw Alice laying on the ground with him. She gripped his arm tight and suddenly Kid Flash felt lighter than he had felt in a long time. Next thing they knew they were alongside the wall, safe.

"You saved me…Does that mean that yo-"

"No", Alice said as she started to walk away from him and stood by Aqualad.

He had his eyes wide with surprise and astonishment, "No…Nothing odd going on here…"

"What's next? Clones?" Alice asked rhetorically before scoffing and crossing her arms.

Robin was hacking another door, and once he got it open he took a step back. "Okay, I'm officially whelmed."

On the walls there were thousands of those genomes that were there before. A weird static electricity connected the tubes which encased the genomes. They were in stasis.

"I'm not really surprised…" Alice said as she shrugged. She was the first one who took a step into the room, the rest followed.

"This is how they hide this massive underground facility from the world. The real Cadmus isn't on the grid…It generates its own power with these…Things. Must be what they're bred for", Kid Flash said, examining the tubes of genomes as he went by them.

"Even the name is a clue. The Cadmus of myth created a new race by sewing dragons deep into the earth", Aqualad said.

"And this Cadmus produces new life too", Robin said as he peered into one of the tubes.

"The question here is why?" Danny asked as he looked around the room.

"Let's find out", Robin said as he approached a small computer in the room. He pulled out a USB cord from his glove and slipped it into the computer. He began typing away at the computer. "They…Call them Genomorphs. Oh, look at the stats on these things! Super strength, Telepathy, Razor Claws…These are live weapons!"

"They're engineering an army…" Kid Flash said grimly.

"But for who?" Danny asked as he examined the screen Robin was looking at.

"Oh, what's this? Project KR?" Robin asked as he tapped at the screen before growling in anger. "The file's double encrypted…I-I can't get through".

"Don't move!" Came a man's voice. The team looked and saw Guardian, along with some fewer genomes with him. "Wait…Robin? Aqualad? Kid Flash? Phantom? Hydrowave?"

"At least he got your name right…" Robin mumbled and snickered.

"I know you…Guardian", Aqualad said. "A hero".

"I do my best", he said with a smile.

"Then what are you doing here!" Kid Flash asked in confusion.

"I'm chief of security. You were trespassing", Guardian said matter-of-factly.

"Let's not forget to add 'hacking' to that list as well", Alice whispered to Robin who smirked in pride.

"But we can call the Justice League. Figure this all out", Guardian said as he put his hands on his hips.

"You think the league is going to approve of you breeding weapons?" Kid Flash asked in anger.

"Weapons? What are you?" Guardian asked, but the genome on his shoulder lit up red. "What have I?" Guardian asked in confusion before reaching a hand up to his head. "My head…" Finally the genome stopped glowing, and Guardian looked threatening. "Take 'em down hard! No mercy!"

"He doesn't have to be so bipolar…" Alice said as she prepared a water scythe out of thin air. Genomes came charging at them. Aqualad only looked at her powers.

"You're a water user?" Aqualad asked before taking out his objects behind his back. His tattoos emitted a vibrant blue color.

"Yup. We should talk after this. We have a lot of stuff in common", Alice said before slicing a genome in half.

Robin released a smoke bomb and used his grappling hook to lurch himself onto the ceiling and closer to the door. Kid Flash dodged the assaults that were directed at him. Aqualad on the other hand, wasn't so lucky. He dodged a few but then got tackled by Guardian. The man was coming after him again until Danny stepped into the line of fire and prepared a ghostly shield. Guardian was stunned by this, and that left an opening that Danny took to get a few punches in and then shoot him with an ectoblast.

"My gratitude", Aqualad said and Danny nodded before glancing at Alice.

"Hydrowave your six!" Danny yelled and Alice quickly gripped her water scythe a different way and swung it at the enemy behind her.

"There's too many!" Hydrowave yelled over the commotion. She looked over at Kid Flash who was trying to fight off a genome that was on top of him. She narrowed her eyes as she evaporated her scythe and made a simple water blast and blasted the genome off of Kid Flash.

They all started to run towards the door that Robin had headed to in the beginning. He was over there, trying to hack the door open. The group ran towards Robin and the genomes ran after them. Kid Flash was the first one who reached Robin first.

"Way to be a team player, Rob!" he yelled in anger.

"Weren't you right behind me?" Robin asked innocently. He managed to open the doors and him and Kid Flash stepped quickly into the elevator. Alice looked behind her at the Genomes that were closing in. She summoned the water in the air around her and made a small, but weak, water wall. It managed to get the genomes off their tails for a few seconds before it collapsed. Alice and Aqualad slid into the elevator as the doors closed. Danny just simply went through it.

"We're heading down?" Aqualad asked in annoyance. He had almost died back there because of his other teammate's actions.

"Dude!" Kid Flash yelled in anger. "Out is up!"

"Excuse me? Project KR? It's down", Robin said as he narrowed his eyes.

"This is out of control…" Aqualad said as he rubbed the back of his head. "Perhaps…Perhaps we should contact the league."

Alice fake coughed, "That's a great idea".

"Aqualad is right. We are in way over our heads", Danny said as he shook his head.

The elevator doors opened and the entire group was ready to battle more genomes. However, there was not enemy to battle…At least for the moment.

Robin dashed out of the elevator.

"We are already here", Kid Flash said as he shrugged. Aqualad sighed in response.

"We're going to go find a working computer and contact the league. No way will our transmitters reach all the way down this far", Danny said as he stepped out of the elevator. "Aqualad. Promise me one thing. Look out for Robin. It's his actions that get him into trouble. And trust me, I'm in enough as it is", Danny said as he laughed a little.

"I will. Stay safe…The both of you", Aqualad said before following his friends.

"Godspeed, Aqualad!" Alice whispered. Danny looked at her with an eyebrow raised. "What? It's what everybody says".

"Yeah, 400 years ago…"

"Now who's being the rude one?" Alice asked as she narrowed her eyes.

"Doesn't feel so good to be at the receiving end, does it?"

"Hey…Shut up for a second…" Alice said as she backed herself up into the wall. Danny followed her lead, but turned intangible. There was a woman with a check board. She had a white lab coat and her hair was up in a messy bun. She was wearing thick black glasses. "Watch this, ghost boy", Alice said as she stepped out and knocked the woman out in the back of her head. She swiped the air around her and twirled around. Her clothes changed to what the unconscious woman was wearing.

"Impressive", Danny said with as little emotion as possible.

"Whatever. Help me with this body", Alice said as she started to drag it.

"This isn't weird at all…" Danny mumbled as he helped drag the body around the corner.

Fireworks: Chapter 1

Reviews:

Guest: Thanks, I hope you liked it!

Mariepc: Hellooo?

Thundergil: Thank you for enjoying it!

jim89: Danny has his ghostly wail, since it is after Ultimate Enemy. In later chapters he will be getting his ice powers. The Fenton Technology that's left is what you see. Of course, as far as Amity Park concerns are going, Danny will be going back home in one chapter, so all that will be settled. Vlad never disappears. He's gone away, but he's coming back. Sam will most likely show up sometime in the future. And Danni is going to be involved in later chapters.

Guest (2): Alice and Danny are never going to get together. They're like Italian and Mexican food.

Breyannia: Why thank you. I hope you aren't disappointed.

Son of Zeus0001: Thank you for such a long review! Somehow I knew someone was going to point out all of my 'iffy' parts.

(1): Vlad is very crazy in this fanfiction. I hadn't even meant for him to end up like that. But he's just a really big frootloop I guess.

(2): Jazz is so out of character because I didn't want this story to be too dark. She's going to start acting normal again in later chapters. When something traumatic happens, people act differently.

(3): Although I knew that the Joker wasn't the best example, Jazz doesn't know that many of Batman's enemies, so I couldn't include Ra's al Ghul.

(4): This was before Danny found out about Bruce being Batman. I think that Bruce just didn't want Danny to think that he wasn't normal.

(5): Originally it wasn't supposed to happen like that, in fact the last part of the prologue was my worst one, mostly because it was rushed. Besides, Danny isn't really the smartest tool in the shed. Mostly because of emotions that he's dealing with. He hasn't gotten over his parents deaths and he thinks he's alone in the world. He will grow out of the phase though.

(6): Alice is a shy girl with no personality in part 3. That's because she just met Danny. That's how most people are when they just meet other people.

(7): The school thing was just something for later chapters.

(8): Alice just goes wherever Danny goes.

KodiakWolfe13: Thank you so much for staying with me all this way! I really appreciate it!

Jebest4781: I guess you'll just have to read on, my friend.
