A/N: Welcome back my readers! It's been a late update, and I'll tell you more at the bottom (if you cared enough, lolol). Anywho, this chapter takes place somewhere we all know and love, Amity Park! This chapter includes a short Flower in Gotham section, as well as a new section, Teardrops, which will cover Alice's story later in the plot. Enjoy everyone!

"Are you sure this is what you want to do?" Batman asked down at Danny, who was making preparations to leave for Amity Park. "You haven't been back there since…" he trailed off, looking at the young boy in an uneasy notion.

"I know, since the funeral", Danny said as he looked down at the ground before looking back at Batman with confidence in his face. "I'll be fine", he said with a slight smile. His smile immediately disappeared when he remembered something crucial, "Don't tell Jazz".

"If you are sure…What's with the heavy clothing, Danny?" He asked as he looked down at the young boy again, this time in confusion. It had to have been at least 90 degrees outside, and this boy was wearing a heavy jacket?

"Oh, uh, you know, it can get pretty cold when I'm flying", he said as he chuckled nervously. He then let out an uncontrollable shiver that traveled down his spine. "See? I get chilly just thinking about it!"

Batman just continued to stare at him, "If anything happens, call", he ordered as he walked away. Danny sighed with his absence.

"Not sure how long I could have kept up that charade", he said as his teeth started to chatter on the last word. "Jeez, what's wrong with me?" He had been so in depth with his thoughts, that he hadn't head Alice enter the room.

"What isn't wrong with you?" Alice asked him as she rolled her eyes at his question, thinking of it being just a joke. "Are you seriously going to go?" She asked as she crossed her arms.

"I have to. There's a problem, and it's my job to solve it", Danny said in a serious tone.

"You're not a solo act anymore. You don't have to take these things on by yourself. This is why we have a team", Alice said as she narrowed her eyes at the young halfa.

"This isn't their fight to get involved in…I have to do this…By myself", he said as he changed into Phantom in a burst of white light.

"I'm going with you, Phantom", came a voice from across the room. Miss Martian came into the room with a smile on her face, "It's what friends are for".

Danny sighed and then nodded, "We'd better hurry, Sam said it was urgent", he said as he started to fly up.

"Danny, if you think I'm going to let you do this without me, you're stupid", Alice said as she narrowed her eyes again at the young boy. "Miss Martian, could you hold onto me? I can't fly", she said in a monotone voice, which was directed at the ghost hero.

"Fine, fine! Let's get going!" Danny yelled in slight frustration as he took to the ceiling, he turned intangible through it as he went through.

Alice wore a confident smirk as Miss Martian grabbed her hand and lifted her up with ease. "Go for the ceiling, I can teleport us through", Alice said to the green skinned girl, she nodded in response. They easily went through the ceiling as their molecules were split and then rearranged on the outside of the ceiling. They saw Danny waiting for them on the outside.

"How did you do that?" Miss Martian asked as she smiled. "I feel all tingly".

"Yeah, it'll do that to you. Basically I split our body molecules and rearranged them on the other side. Since our bodies are mostly made of water, I can do that…Though it really drains me", Alice said with a sly smile. Miss Martian nodded in understanding.

"Now that the gangs all here, let's get going", Danny said as he started to shake a little. He took off in the direction of Amity Park. Miss Martian, not far behind him.

"Are we there yet?" Alice asked tiredly as she was hanging by her hand in Miss Martians. She looked up at Miss Martian, "I think this is the longest I've ever held hands with someone…That's got to be a world record or something…"

"I don't think so", Danny said as he smiled. "Can you believe you of all people to get that record? That's a waste of an entry", he teased.

"Oh that's funny, Danny. Let's not forget to mention your fashion sense this morning, a heavy jacket in the middle of July?" Alice teased back.

"I see a city up ahead!" Miss Martian called excitedly. This alerted the two teens attentions back to the flight. There was a slight plant invasion as the buildings were covered with vines, and various leaves.

"Yeesh! Talk about an overgrowth problem! Hasn't your city ever heard of 'managing the wildlife'?" Alice asked as they drew closer to the ground.

It was quiet, a little too quiet as the teens all looked around the city, slowly.

"Was it always like this?" Miss Martian inquired.

Danny shook his head in response, "No, usually it's bustling with activity…And c-c-city production", he sputtered out.

Alice looked at her friend in worry, there was something wrong with him, "Dan-

"Danny?" called a weak voice from behind a building, interrupting Alice. A girl with black hair emerged from her hiding spot, along with a boy with a red hat.

"S-Sam? T-Tucker?" Danny called excitedly, his eyes widening with surprise. "What's going on here?"

"I'll tell you what's going on!" Came a menacing voice as the streets started to crack down the center and an overgrown root started to grow out of the crack. "OVERPRODUCTION! They call me Undergrowth! My babies have nowhere to spawn! I'm going to take over this city, and plan total global domination for plants!"

"You'd think that you'd be okay with all this", Danny whispered to Sam, who glared in response.

"He's taking it too far! Sure, wildlife respect is important…"

Undergrowth took this moment to smash a nearby car into a building, it started to collapse it mere seconds.

"Or, he could just start destroying things…" Sam said weakly.

"Stop messing up my city!" Danny yelled as he flew into the air and powered up an ecto blast in both hands as he released them at the target in front of him. It caused a giant hole in its stomach, before it started to regenerate itself with roots.

"You cannot defeat a being who can regenerate!" He yelled as it summoned Venus fly traps by its roots. The man eating plants went straight toward the airborne halfa as they charged at him. Danny's eyes grew wide with alarm as he flew away from the enemy, as the Venus fly traps followed after him.

"Danny!" Alice yelled as she went to put up a water shield, but Miss Martian held her back. "What are you doing?!" Alice yelled out in alarm.

"I might not know everything about Earth yet, but I know that plants and water, it's not very effective", Miss Martian reasoned, making Alice nod slowly in comprehension.

Danny flew back to Undergrowth, "You can't regenerate if you're a pile of ashes!" He yelled as he gathered a large sum of ecto energy in his hands and was about to release it, when he started to shiver uncontrollably. "C-C-Cold", he said as he started to cross his arms, trying to gather heat. It was at this moment that the Venus fly traps launched themselves at him and ensnared him in their grasps.

Tucker and Sam were running away as well, screaming in alarm as Undergrowth was chasing them. Alice looked at her teammate, "I'll go get Danny's friends, you get Danny", she said as she took off running towards the over grown plant monster that was attacking the humans. She summoned a mighty water wall, and it held for a moment, restraining him back.

"What is this? Water?" Undergrowth said in confusion. He then started to laugh, "I can absorb your petty little water", he said as the water wall was being pulled toward him, much to Alice's surprise.

"You can't just…" Alice said, struggling to get control of her element, but Undergrowth had absorbed her attack. As a result, he doubled in his form. He was twice of big than when they had first confronted. Vines caught onto Alice's foot as she was brought into the air and dangled in front of the plant ghost.

"I believe I just did", Undergrowth said, mocking her. He also had Sam and Tucker captive and in front of him.

Miss Martian was having no better luck trying to free Danny. "Phantom, I need you to hold still, I'll try and control the vine with my mind", she said as she closed her eyes and focused on the plant life form. It started to loosen Danny gradually, but then suddenly constricted him as a vine had managed to get ahold of Miss Martian, and she also met the same fate as everyone else, being brought in front of the ghost.

"Such…Limited life forms", Undergrowth said, looking at each and every one of them. "Although destruction sounds less fortunate…I feel that a replanting sounds more…Productive!" He said as he opened his head up to reveal a dark purple brain. It released yellow spores, and they filled the area.

"Sleep spores!" Danny exclaimed as he started to feel drowsy.

"At least they're full of ginkgo bulova", Sam said as she started to fall asleep.

"Rejoice, for a new era is taking root!" He said with a smile, as everyone passed out.

Alice woke up as she groaned in discomfort. She was in some kind of circular plant cell. She looked around and found that there was no exit in the tiny enclosed area. She summoned water and formed it into a sword as she got up and made her way over to one of the walls. She sliced through it, and sap started to form on the water blade, making it dull.

She sighed as she tossed the water blade aside before peering outside. The whole town was overrun with plants. "I really hate plants…"

"That's a shame…They like you", came a familiar voice. She looked to her immediate left and found Sam perched on a flower.

"Sam? What happened to you?" Alice asked as she eyed the girl carefully, she didn't sounds nor look like her usual self.

"The transformation of a lifetime…" She said as she peered into Alice's eyes.

"Where's Danny?" Alice asked as she narrowed her eyes.

"He hasn't awaken yet…But he will. When he does, he can become one with the plants…Like me…Like you", she said as her green blank eyes narrowed.

"Sam, you don't want to do this. Danny's your friend, remember?" Alice tried to reason.

"The plants are my only friends…Now, you need to be connected with the plants", Sam said as a mind vine was making its way to the young water user.

"There's a problem with that, Sammy. I. Don't. Like. Plants", Alice said as she jumped from the flower she was on. She summoned some water by her feet to glide her to the bottom.

"You can run…But you can't hide. It's only a matter of time until we find you…And we will find you…" Sam said, her voice echoing around the area.

Danny woke up groggily from his enforced sleep. He saw the numerous plants around the city and glared. "He turned this entire city into an overgrown backyard". It was at that moment that Danny realized that he was tied to a tree, along with Tucker and Miss Martian.

A Venus fly trap started to wind itself around the tree and stared directly at Tucker. "I never eat my vegetables, why is it fair that they get to eat me?!" He yelled as he glanced nervously at Danny for help.

Danny started to struggle in the vines grasps, but found his efforts useless, "These vines are like steel cables! Except with sap!"

The sudden activity alerted Undergrowth from his resting place as he stretched his body in front of the teens. "The growth is far stronger than any meat creature", he said and then he stretched his body so his head was talking directly to Danny. "How powerful do you think they are?"

Danny responded by desperately trying to get free from his vine restraints, when that didn't work, he tried to gather ecto energy, but a pair of ghostly plants popped up and zapped his powers from him by absorbing the ghostly energy. "I'm getting drained by these ghost plants…I can't go intangible either", Danny said with a sigh.

"That's right", Undergrowth agreed. "Perhaps one day you will see that this is what nature intended all along! Mankind is only a temporary weed in the garden of life. A weed that can be removed", Undergrowth mused to himself.

"Phantom bows to no plant!" Danny yelled in anger.

"Bow? We can't even wiggle our fingers!" Tucker yelled and then blinked.

"Your pessimistic but accurate friend is right…Observe", Undergrowth said as he looked into the distance of what used to be Amity Park. "Your once proud, but progressive, metropolis…With my mind vine, it allows me to control the mind of any human. Why should I burden myself with ruining this city, when I can have its inhabitants do it for me! Once all is cleared, my children will be planted, and born anew!"

Trees started to grow from the sand at astounding lengths. "My consciousness, my will, shall spread across the globe!" Undergrowth yelled as he started to laugh.

"You can't win. If I don't stop you…S-Someone e-else w-will", Danny stuttered as a sudden cold was suddenly upon him.

"Really? Such as?" Undergrowth asked as he started to draw closer to the shivering Phantom.

"Like me", Miss Martian said as she took control of the vine and made it release Phantom as well as Tucker. She then turned towards the over grown plant, only for another vine to suddenly entrap her. "Go! I'm fine!"

"W-Wait, where's Sam?" Danny asked as he powered up an ecto blast.

"Ah, yes, yes, every garden needs a caretaker…" Undergrowth said as a purple rose sprouted from the ground and suddenly bloomed. Sam emerged from the flower, a mind vine was attached to her neck, and her wardrobe changed to green.

"Sam?" Danny asked in confusion.

"Greens…A good color on you?" Tucker asked wearily.

"She is the perfect candidate. I can show her the ropes…Or the vines!" Under growth said as he smiled at his own joke.

"Your bodies are needed for work", Sam said in a dark voice as she pointed at the two at the ground and vines started to charge at them.

"Great! Veggies, and work! My two least favorite-

Tucker was interrupted by a mind vine that was suddenly latched onto his neck. He screamed in alarm as he was slowly becoming under Undergrowth's control. "Tucker!" Danny called out.

"And nourishment!" She said as a giant Venus fly trap charged at Danny, who glared at the plant.

"B-Back…Off!" He yelled as the cold sensation he had felt all week start to come out in a physical form. Icicles formed and flew into the plant, making it squeal in pain as it slowly started to shrivel up. A gasp erupted from Undergrowth and Sam at this new development. The vine holding Miss Martian slowly shriveled up, and she sighed in relief as she flew to the sky.

"Phantom, we have to go!" Miss Martian called out as she darted away from the city. Danny followed after her, flying at his top speed to catch up.

"After them!" Undergrowth ordered with rage. Sam smirked deviously, but followed her master's orders. She flew at an inhuman speed and appeared in front of Danny and Miss Martian.

"Sam?" Danny asked in confusion.

"Join us, Danny. The growth is family", Sam said as she smiled.

"Already got one, thanks. And I'm still working the bugs out of it", Danny said as he released ecto blasts at the nearby plants that were threatening to entangle him again. He took to the skies, Miss Martian following closely behind him. "At least they can't get us up here", Danny said as he smiled.

"I would be too sure of that, Phantom", Miss Martian replied as she set up a mental barrier in front of them when she saw Undergrowth materialize and shoot to the sky in front of them.

"I am everywhere!" Undergrowth yelled at the two teens.

"Come on! I know somewhere where he isn't…Hopefully", Danny said as he narrowed his eyes and grabbed Miss Martians hand suddenly as he shot himself away from the plant ghost. In a matter of seconds, Undergrowth multiplied himself and surrounded the two teens in a circle. Danny growled as he held out a palm and it started to fill with green ectoplasm, before it suddenly became overwhelmed with a light blue color, and the blast turned into ice.

He released it, wasting no time at the new power that was taking over his attacks. He grabbed Miss Martians hand again, except she gasped at how cold his hand was.

"Phantom…Your hand is…Freezing!" Miss Martian exclaimed as Danny gave a slight frown.

"I'm sorry, but we have to keep moving!" Danny yelled as they started to fly in the air again. They hadn't gone very far, however, when Danny started to shiver uncontrollable. "C-C-Cold-d, I can't stay airborne", he said as his body started to become laced with ice.

"Phantom!" Miss Martian yelled as she tried to pull her hand out of his, only their hands had been covered with ice. The green skinned alien looked at the incoming ground fearfully as she closed her eyes. She hadn't noticed that Danny had gone intangible, passing them safely through the ground, and into the sewer water that was below. Immediately the water had turned to ice as soon as Danny had hit it.

In a matter of seconds, Danny punched through the ice, leaving Miss Martian and him room to get out of the frozen water. "Are you…O-Okay?" Danny asked as he looked at his team member.

Miss Martian nodded her head, "The question is, are you?" She asked as she looked at the young halfa in confusion. He stared at her for a second and was about to respond, when suddenly Sam came floating down the ice, an army of vines were behind her.

"Become Danny…" Sam beckoned, "Become part of the growth".

"How about you shove it, Sam?" Came a voice that was walking down the sewer walkway. This alerted Sam's attention to the newcomer and she smiled sinisterly at the girl.

"Al-

"Save it Danny, get moving", Alice said as she had a pint of water floating around her hands.

"Hydrowave, we can-

"I said get going!" Alice yelled as the water in her hands turned into a water scythe.

"Don't hurt her", Danny said as he narrowed his eyes at the water user. She remained emotionless, as if she hadn't even heard what he had said to her. He took that as an answer, and got up, while Miss Martian followed him.

"I think I know where this leads to, let's hurry", Danny said as he started running down the sewer walkway. Miss Martian followed him, trying to keep up with his speed.

"I don't think we should have left her there all alone", Miss Martian said as she shook her head.

"She said she could handle it", Danny said coldly at the alien.

"She wouldn't just leave a teammate behind", Miss Martian said as she narrowed her eyes.

"I'm sorry", Danny said as his expression softened up. "My powers are acting up, and I think, er, I hope that the ghost portal still works under all that rubble…"

They got to a ladder, and Danny went up first, lifting the heavy sewer entrance lid up over his head. Right ahead of him was a ruined sign that read, 'ent ks'. "T-This is it", he said as he tossed the lid out of the way so that his teammate could get up easily.

"What happened here?" Miss Martian asked as she stood shocked at the rubble.

"I-I ask myself that every day", Danny said as he looked down at the ground. "We should hurry up, I don't know if this w-will w-w-work", he said still shivering as he ran over to the rubble.

"What are we supposed to find?" Miss Martian asked as she looked at the rubble thoroughly.

"It's down here", Danny said as he grabbed her hand and they both turned intangible and glided through the rubble to the basement. Most of it was still intact and working functionally. Danny sighed in relief, that was, until a hacking fit came on, making the young boy cough uncontrollably.

"Danny! Are you alright?" Miss Martian asked wearily. She wanted to go into his mind, to ease his suffering, if only just a little…But that would be an invasion of privacy, and she's learning to get used to that concept.

"I will be", he said as his coughing fit let up. He walked over to the portal and imputed a few buttons into the mainframe. In a spark, a green eerie glow emerged from the steel framework. Miss Martian just stared at the green glow coming from the portal, memorized by something so foreign being right in front of her. "L-Lets g-

Sam hovered in front of Danny, she was being suspended by vines. "Stay Danny, stay and rule with me", she said in a fake sweet smile.

"We all know you're not this kind defenseless girl", Alice said suddenly appearing in front of Danny and Miss Martian. "So cut the act", she said as she spit on the ground, blood adhered to the cement perfectly, staining it with a crimson color.

"Hydrowave!" Miss Martian called out happily. She then looked at the girl in front of her. She had ripped clothing, cuts and bruises covered her body, and her hair had a few leafs in it. Based on her appearance, Alice had gone through one hell of a fight.

"Heh, thought you'd seen the last of me, huh?" Alice said as she smirked. Sam replied with a snarling growl.

"You should not be able to stand after what my babies did to you", Sam said in a dark tone.

"And yet here I am…In your way…Again. How does it feel, Sammy?" Alice taunted as she conjured up a handful of water by her body.

Sam released a battle cry as she hurled herself over by the teen hero's. Alice deflected her petty attempt of an attack with a water shield that she had perfectly made to be square. "Go! I'll cover you!" Alice yelled as she brought the square shield forcefully into the ground. A water wall appeared and made a barrier, successfully separating Sam away from Alice and her teammates.

"Sam, I'll be back…And when I am, I'll save you…I promise", Danny said as he walked into the portal, along with Miss Martian by his side…

Flower in Gotham:

"I'm glad that Jonathon Crane opened up to you, Jazz", Bruce said as he took a sip of his coffee that was on the table in front of him. He was typing away at his laptop, maintaining his stocks at Wayne enterprises.

"I know, I've been working with him for weeks, and-

Bruce looked up when she suddenly halted her conversation, she was looking around the empty dining room when she narrowed her eyes. "Where's Danny?" She asked as she looked at him dead in the eyes.

"Around", Bruce said as he took another sip of his drink.

"Around the mansion? Around Gotham? Around the Cave?" Jazz asked as she slumped in her chair.

Bruce looked up again when she asked all those questions, "I'm sorry, Jazz, Danny told me to not tell you where he's going".

"So he's going someplace? Where?" Jazz asked as she raised an eyebrow.

Bruce sighed as he shook his head. "I've let you know too much information…" He said as he sat up from his chair and grabbed his laptop off the table, he then started to walk out of the room.

"Oh, Danny, where have you gone this time?" Jazz asked wearily.

Danny and Miss Martian were floating aimlessly through the ghost zone, in search of what, Danny didn't quite know. Miss Martian glanced at Danny in worry, he was covered with ice, and their speed was decreasing by the minute.

"Danny…Do you know where we are going?" Miss Martian asked him.

"Not entirely…I-I just hope…T-That…" He stuttered as he started shivering once again and fell unconscious suddenly. His speed never decreased though, and he was hovering through the ghost zone unconscious. Miss Martian let out a startled gasp as she flew faster through the ghost zone trying to get to Danny. She couldn't reach him in time as he landed into a snowy landmass. She saw two yeti like creatures talk among themselves upon finding the sleeping Danny in the snow.

"Object located, sir", said one yeti creature to the other. "Shall we blast it to bits and claim out superiority?"

"Stop!" Miss Martian yelled as she slowly hovered to the ground, alarming the two yetis. "This is my friend…He's…" She paused as she looked at him. The ice was surrounding his entire body, and he wasn't looking too hot. "He's hurt".

"This is indeed a friend in need", the other yeti said. He bent down to the unconscious boy and carried him in his arms. "We shall return to the city at once."

Danny woke up on a bed in an ice cave. He saw Miss Martian sitting at a chair by the bedside. She offered him a small smile. "Hey, how are you feeling?" She asked in a calm voice.

"I'm-

"I'll bet he feels fine after being defrozen in our defreezing chambers!" Came a booming voice. It started Danny out of his thoughts and made him pause in mid-sentence.

"Who…Are you?" Danny asked at the yeti monster in front of him.

"They call me Frostbite, of the Far Frozen", the yeti monster stated.

"Where are we?" Danny asked Miss Martian. She was about to reply when she was cut off from Frostbite.

"You are in the Far Frozen's medical labs. You would have frozen to death if we had not come along. You are very fortunate, Great One", Frostbite said with a nod.

"Great One?" Danny asked and looked at Miss Martian for an answer, but she only shrugged.

"You have taken down Pariah Dark, have you not? Therefore you are the Great One!" Frostbite boomed in a giddy voice. Danny smiled at the reaction, it reminded him of his…Father.

"Alright, point taken. Anyway, a plant ghost named Undergrowth is taking control of my city", Danny said as he looked at the yeti ghost.

"I have heard tale of this…Undergrowth. A powerful ghost he is. Capable of regenerating himself and producing numerous offspring. Nearly impossible to defeat", Frostbit declared in a grave tone.

"I tried to fight him…But then this cold sensation started to take me over…" Danny said as he shuddered involuntarily at the memory.

"Ah yes. The cold sensation", Frostbite said with a smile on his face. Your central core reading indicates an extreme coldness building up. As if your body is self-generating it".

Danny thought on the matter some more before narrowing his eyes in thought, "How is that possible?"

Frostbit laughed at the response, "You become invisible, pass through solid objects, and make beam energy from your hands, yet you ask 'how is this possible'?"

"Wait…You mean to tell me that this…Coldness…Is a new ghostly ability?" Danny asked as a smile grew on his face.

"Yes, though new to you it may be, it has been among my kind for generations. We are quite well trained in its use", Frostbite said as he summoned a snowflake and morphed it into a snow crystal.

"Could you teach me?" Danny asked with hope lingering in his voice.

Frostbite chuckled heartily at the question, "Why of course, Great One! As soon as you are ready, we shall begin".

Teardrops:

"How long do you think you can last against me?" Sam asked the girl as the vines started to attack the water barrier.

"I don't know. About 5 minutes, maybe", Alice said with a tired smile on her face. Holding this water wall was really draining her, and Danny and Megan were in there for about an hour already…

Another vine struck against the water wall, making Alice scream in pain. The water wall had finally shattered, making it rain temporarily for a few seconds around the area. Sam took a step forward, a triumphant smile plastered on her face. "We both know that plants can easily absorb water…You're useless in this fight", Sam said as she bent down so that she was face to face with the water user.

"You know, I'd rather not hear this from the girl who can't do anything without her little 'babies' as you call them", Alice said as she smirked.

Sam continued to stare at the girl before finally standing up at her full length. "Perhaps you're right…But I know your game", Sam said as she charged at Alice and grabbed her throat. Alice yelped in surprise at the sudden constriction of air.

"That's great, you don't know a single thing about me…You would never know what game I was playing…If I had a game to begin with", Alice said cockily.

"You want me to let down my guard so you can take me out. You think that Danny will come back here? He's trying to save me…He hasn't done a single thing to help you all day", Sam said as she rose Alice's body up along the almost destroyed wall.

"S-Shut up", Alice said as she tried to summon water to protect herself with, but the water wouldn't come to her…For the second time in her life, the water wouldn't listen to her.

"You're a nuisance to him…But you aren't a nuisance to me…" Sam said as she smiled gently.

"W-What are you saying?" Alice asked as she tried to get her feet against the wall so she could push herself out of Sam's grip. However, Sam was leading her backward, toward the vines.

"The Growth needs a resource, like you. Join the Growth", Sam chanted as Alice could hear the motion of a mind vine behind her.

"S-Stop, Sam. This isn't you", Alice said as she narrowed her eyes at the girl. She tried to summon water by her hands, but the water once again would not listen to her. She had lost control of her element, and this very thought had scared the water user to death. 'I'm worthless if I can't use my water', Alice thought grimly as she struggled even less.

"That's right…" Sam said as she placed Alice right in front of a mind vine. "Let the Growth overtake you", Sam chanted lightly. Alice felt the vine being plunged into her neck, there was pain at first, and then there was nothing…Nothing but the Growth.

"Welcome to the Growth, Alice Waters", Sam said as Alice's eyes opened to a poisonous green color. Her costume changed to a leaf dress that was a light blue, her blue colored hair, however, stayed the same color. Sam held out a hand, and Alice smiled as she took it.

"Well, I guess this is goodbye for now…" Danny said as he was at the edge of an ice mountain. "I don't know how I can ever thank you", he said to Frostbite.

"You can thank us by using your new ghost abilities to rid your world of the evil ghost vermin Undergrowth", Frostbite said confidently.

"Yeah…But what if I can't beat him?" Danny asked the proud yeti ghost. Miss Martian watched the scene play out. She had never seen this side of Danny before, the sensitive Danny, the scared Danny.

"Fear is only natural when fighting your enemies. It's pushing the fear away that makes you a hero. A hero that I know that you can become", Frostbite said as he smiled. "Be mindful. You control the power, the power does not control you".

"Thanks", Danny said with a light smile.

Miss Martian walked up to Danny, "Are you ready?"

Danny looked at Miss Martian and nodded, they took to the skies of the ghost zone. "I'm still a little nervous. I mean, I know that we go against enemies…But this is different. This is my home town", Danny said as he sighted nervously.

"Danny, calm down. We can do this. You, Alice, and I", Miss Martian said as she smiled.

"Oh man…Alice…I've been a complete idiot around her…I've been rude, and I've put Sam first above all else…" Danny said as he sighed.

"You should probably let her know about this when we get back…And when we save the city", Miss Martian said with a smile. Danny replied with a nod as they came up to the portal that was ahead of them. It opened as soon as they came into contact with it. They walked through the portal to the human world, in the run down lab that was becoming overrun with vines. There was water on the ground, but there was no trace of Alice anywhere…Or Sam for that matter.

"Grab onto me", Danny said as he extended a hand out to Miss Martian, who took it as he started to turn intangible and phase through the ceiling of the rubble. They were floating above where the once proud Fenton residence had once stood.

"Danny", came Sam's voice from the distance. Danny and Miss Martian immediately followed after it. They were searching the ground for any sign of life, well, any sign of life that wasn't plants.

"Danny?" Sam's voice came again, leading the duo straight to a tree.

"Welcome back", Sam said as she hovered from the top of the tree to in front of them. "We had thought you'd be gone for good…"

Right as she had said that, there was a soft chuckling from behind them. A blue rose grew suddenly and blossomed at the same time, to reveal Alice, who smiled gently down at the two. "It's a shame…The Growth would have loved them".

"Sam…Alice. You have to listen to me, we need to get you guys out of here", Danny said as he narrowed his eyes at the two.

"Hydrowave, you have to listen to him", Miss Martian said as she looked at her friend with a sad look in her eyes. Alice looked at Sam, who smiled at her.

"No…" Sam said as Alice suddenly teleported next to her, water molecules still lingering in the area, due to Undergrowth not knowing the extent of her powers yet.

"We like it here", Alice said with a smile.

"Undergrowth has made all things new", Sam said as she stood next to an unblossomed flower. "They need me…I am their new mother", Sam said as a vine nudged against her body.

"What? You won't even babysit your cousins", Danny said as he hovered closer to Sam, who was caressing the vine. "We need to get you out of here".

Alice suddenly teleported in front of him, startling the young half ghost. "Danny, don't you see? All that matters are the children…"

Suddenly the ground started to shift, and a giant green root was grown out of the soil. Undergrowth emerged with a smirk, "And you shall make a fine meal for my children, Phantom!"

Danny didn't notice the vines that ensnared him into their clutches. They brought him down to the ground, where Sam, Alice, and Undergrowth were smiling at him.

"Take root, become one with us!" Sam yelled as she smiled viciously at the boy.

"Sam! Stop!" Danny yelled as he was being dragged further into the ground, despite all his efforts. Meanwhile, Miss Martian took this moment to wander over to the mind vine central vine. She cloaked herself and opened her mind up. She looked up at the vine and closed her eyes. This was a battle of minds, and she was sure that she was going to win.

"You have done well, my daughter. You will have the chance to feed him to the children when he is ripe", Undergrowth praised.

"Yes, Father", Sam responded.

A few seconds later, the area was encased with ice, and Danny Phantom emerged from the ice, with a triumphant smirk on his face. Undergrowth charged at him, and Danny responded by freezing him in ice. Undergrowth broke free of the ice and went to strike him again, only except Danny had frozen him again. Once unfrozen, Undergrowth commanded a vine to attack the boy, and it held him captive. Danny used his newfound ice powers on the plant, and it broke into pieces. This resulted in Undergrowth decreasing in size.

Sam saw what was happening and was ready to help her father, when Alice suddenly trapped her 'sister' in a water prison. "Sister, let me go!" Sam yelled as she struggled to get free.

"I-I am sorry, sister…I cannot control my actions…" Alice replied with a sorrowful look.

Miss Martian had won the battle of wills with the plant, and now she had full control of the mind vine. She smirked as she commanded the mind vines to let go of their hostages. It was at this moment that Danny had frozen all the vines around Undergrowth, leaving dead vines hanging loosely around Amity Park.

"Ugh, what happened?" Sam asked groggily. Her appearance had reverted back to normal, "Yuck! My mouth tastes like I had 9000 shots of wheat grass…Without the wheat".

"And I had a nightmare that I was trapped in a giant salad bar! Ugh! Garbanzo beans!" Tucker yelled as he shivered at the thought.

Alice groaned as she came to, she looked around the area and saw Miss Martian leaning down by her, "What happened?" Alice asked tiredly.

"Hmm? Oh nothing much…just that you went to the 'dark side' as one would call it", Miss Martian said as she smiled and offered Alice her hand. Alice took it and Miss Martian helped her to her feet.

Danny came walking down from a hill toward Sam, "Are you guys alright?" Danny asked as he looked at Tucker and Sam wearily.

"Whoa, what happened to you?" Sam asked as she ran up to him.

"Well, let's just say that I have a new found respect for nature", Danny said as he summoned some ice in his hand and transformed it into an ice crystal.

"Nice! You can do that now?" Sam asked excitedly. Danny then handed it to Sam, "What's this for?" She asked in confusion.

"I'm glad…You're okay", Danny said as he brought his head to hers, and she leaned it as well. Alice watched the scene and then looked away.

"Alice?" Miss Martian called out to her in concern. The girl in question stood up and she just started walking into the distance before finally vanishing suddenly to become one with the air itself.

The Team stood around the computer in the Cave. Batman was on the screen and was smiling…Slightly. "Thanks to Phantom, Miss Martian, and Hydrowave, Amity Park has become free of danger…For the moment at least. That being said, we have to look out for Amity Park in the future, in case any crises' may arise", he said as the line went dead. The entire team was looking at the three mentioned and were congratulating them all on a job well done. However, as soon as they looked at Alice she rolled her eyes.

"Cool, the Bat is 'over and out', and now I'm going to bed", Alice said as she was the first to leave the computer room. Entering her room in a matter of mere seconds, since it was the closest one to the lobby.

Alice began to pace her room, "Of course I'm not mad…Danny's allowed to have other partners…Besides…I was just doing missions with him because…"

There was a black feather on the table in her room and she picked it up.

"I was only doing it in case I could see you…Matt…" Alice said as she cradled the feather in her arms and shut her eyes, tears almost threatening to fall.

A/N: It's done! I realized that I hadn't updated in a while, but that's because of graduation stuff for my high school. All the transcripts and final grades...Graduation practice...It really keeps a person busy for a while. Then with finals and all that, I had absolutely no free time at all. Not to mention I'm moving soon, and packing everything and moving on with a new 'chapter' in my life. Lol. Well, if you liked it, then review and what not. Even tell me what you hated.
