A/N: Welcome back everybody! It's May, so another chapter! Also, I started summer class, but I will be working whenever I have off time. This story will get done this year. I will try, anyway. So, this chapter is mostly Alice centric. The most mysterious character finally gets her backstory revealed. Well, some of it anyway. Also, whoever didn't see this pairing that I included in this chapter...I didn't either. Kind of just happened. We'll see how this turns out. Mostly filler...Again. More of the actual plotline will happen in the next chapter. Also, Valerie and Tucker will make their appearance in the next chapter as well!
Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom, or Young Justice.
"You need to tell me when you are experiencing the curse mark," Aqualad stated solemnly as he looked at the young water user in front of him. She glanced off to the side as she rubbed her arm unconsciously, where the mark was placed. "It is getting worse," he said as he looked at the ground in guilt.
Alice scoffed, "It's not as if you had anything to do with it," she said as she rolled her eyes, placing her arms be her sides as she fisted her hands slightly. Annoyance spread through her, along with frustration at being powerless at what was happening to her. "And besides, the water that Black Manta gave me is working…" She mumbled as she started to walk away, signaling the end of the conversation.
Kaldur narrowed his eyes at her with concern, "How are you so quick to trust him?" He asked as he placed a firm hand on her right shoulder. She stopped walking and sighed as she turned around with a frown on her face.
"I don't," she stated curtly as she looked at him with unwavering eyes, "I don't, but he had a solution that I'm willing to try," she said as she looked past him and noticed the Team splitting up. The mission was done for the day, and she knew that the open house at her school was starting relatively soon.
"It is not a favorable option," Aqualad said as he shook his head, "Perhaps if we tell the others of your predicament they would offer their services?" He suggested as Alice closed her eyes in irritation before opening them, a red flash in them before it disappeared. She then put a hand to her head and Aqualad took a step closer to her in worry. She placed a hand out in front of her, a universal sign for him to stop. "I understand…" He muttered as he took another step towards her, despite her warning for him to stay away from her. "I will make sure that the curse will not spread anymore," he said with confidence as he placed his hands on her shoulders, making her look up at him.
She glared as she pushed him away, "I'm perfectly fine on my own," she hissed as she started to walk away, the curse mark lighting up as she did so.
Aqualad watched as she walked away before he started to walk after her, "I shall accompany you to your school function," he stated more than offered as she glanced back at him with narrowed eyes in annoyance.
"I won't be a hindrance to the Team if that's what you're wondering, Gills," she said with a huff as she started to walk faster, "I know my limits," she muttered as she rolled her eyes as she continued to walk, moving past Artemis who rose her eyebrows as she looked at the water user and then at the Atlantean who was walking after her.
"Not once have I said that you were a problem, Alice," he said in a defending tone, which was an usual characteristic for the usual monotone teen. "You are a valuable asset to the group," he complimented in a truthful and honest manner.
Alice stopped walking suddenly, making Kaldur's eyes widen slightly in surprise, "Then what is your problem!" She yelled, her eyes narrowing as she crossed her arms.
Kaldur stopped walking as well, a few feet away from the girl as he looked down at the ground shyly, "I only care about your well-being," he stated as he looked back up, "I have no plans for tonight and wish to accompany you to your school event," he said as Alice furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. He took a few steps towards her with a small smile on his face with his hand outstretched, "If you would let me," he offered as Alice stared at him before she blinked, as if in a trance and then coming out of it.
"I don't care what you do…" She trailed as she quickly pivoted on her feet, walking quickly in the other direction, "Stupid fish boy…" She muttered as she vanished from view.
Artemis grinned as she walked over to Aqualad and slapped him hard on the shoulder, "Ooh, you have your work cut out for you if you're going for that one," she said slyly as she started to walk away, her knowing grin plastered on her face.
Kaldur quickly turned to address the retreating Artemis, "That is not my aim!" He defended in a slightly high pitched voice. He noticed his voice as he placed a webbed hand to his chest and coughed. He then looked up with a small trace of a smile on his face as he started to walk away.
Bruce walked into the school with his fancy suit on, his hair slicked back with a serious expression on his face. Richard entered next, similarly dressed with the same expression on his face. Jazz entered with a black dress on with black flats with her hair curled in a ritzy manner. Danny and Ellie were dressed in normal clothes, trailing behind the group of the prestigious people in front of them.
"You think they planned to embarrass you?" Ellie whispered as Danny rolled his eyes.
"Don't know," he muttered as he resisted the urge to face palm himself in humiliation. "They never said they were dressing up…" He mumbled as he looked over to his left and noticed Wally with his Uncle Barry approaching them.
"Danny!" Wally greeted with a grin as he looked over at the overly classy people and chuckled, "They do know this is just a normal school event, right?" He asked as he pointed slightly at the group. Danny just shrugged his shoulders in response.
Barry approached Bruce with a grin on his face, "Nice suit and tie, Brucie," he stated in a teasing manner as Bruce smirked back at him with a wicked fire in his eyes.
"Didn't know Hawaiian shirts were still in fashion?" Bruce responded back at Barry's choice in apparel. The older speedster looked down at his shirt and frowned in response before looking back up and brought his index finger up.
"It speaks that I'm casual," Barry stated as he put on a stern face, "But I can be strict!" He said with a nonthreatening goofy half smile on his face.
Bruce smirked as he shook his head, "You have work to do in that department," he half teased as he started to walk away, the group behind him in tow.
Jazz gave him a small smile, "A pleasure to meet you!" She stated with a small wave as she disappeared in the crowd. Danny and Ellie struggled to keep up as they were eventually lost in the crowd, and apart from their group. Ellie looked at her older brother and crossed her arms in a pout.
"Well, what do we do now?" She asked in a huff. "Admire the chipping paint on the wall?" She suggested as she eyed the white paint that was plastered on the walls. She walked over to it and started to rip off a piece of the peeling paint and examined it, "This place is cheap…" She mumbled before Danny walked over to her and gave her a small smile.
"I know," he goraned as he peered through the crowd, trying to spot his group of people, "Where did they go…?" He mumbled as he placed a hand over his line of vision and squinted.
"Danny?" Alice asked as she walked over to him with a small smile on her face, "What a surprise…" She muttered dryly as she smirked. "Lose your group of people?" She asked with a knowing smile.
The young halfa sighed as he placed a hand through his hair, "Yeah…" He said as he shrugged indifferently, "It won't matter much. Bruce said he wanted to speak to my teacher in private anyways," he said as he noticed a group of students with their families moving through the hallways and moved to avoid conflict.
Alice nodded, "Knowing the rich Wayne family they probably all dressed up…" She trailed as she eyed up Danny with furrowed eyebrows in confusion, "Kiind of surprised you didn't," she said as she pointed at him and then at Ellie, "Are you liking the event?" She asked with a small smile.
"No," Ellie deadpanned with her blunt honest reply. Danny looked down at her and whacked her playfully in the back of the head, "Ow!" She muttered as she started to rub her head slightly. "I mean, this is the best school event ever…" She mumbled a white lie as she grinned. She then glanced to her left and then back at the water user, "Of all time," she finished as she nodded, flashing her a quick smile.
"Impressive," Alice said dryly with a raised eyebrow in amusement, "I'm sure the rest of the student council will be pleased to hear that at least someone liked this giant cluster fuck," she stated as she placed a hand on her hip in agitation.
Danny rolled his eyes, "It's not that bad…" He mumbled as the two girl's narrowed their eyes at him and he placed his hands out in front of him, "Okay, it might be a little bad," he admitted.
Ellie sighed as she leaned against the wall, "I am running out of air," she complained as she started to fan herself with her hand, "Can we leave yet?" She whined as she looked up at her brother with a pleading look on her face.
"I wish…" He mumbled as he sighed, "Not until we meet up with Bruce and the others," he said as he started to look around, "We should really start look for them."
"Or…" Ellie trailed, causing Danny to look at her, "Or, they could come find us!" She compromised with a grin on her face, "See?" She rhetorically asked, "Problem solved!"
"My apologies for being late!" Kaldur yelled as he started to walk around the crowd, nearly bumping into someone at least three times. "Something had come up at the Cave that I needed to attend to and I-!" He stated as he started to begin is long winded excuse.
Alice placed a hand up as if to silence him, "Listen, I have to stay here for the entire time," she said as she shrugged indifferently, "You being thirty minutes; or even an hour late doesn't affect me," she stated as Kaldur nodded slowly as he looked down at the ground as if he were being scolded.
Danny snorted as he looked up at the leader of the Team, "Never took you for the social type," Danny said as Kaldur looked at him with a long unwavering gaze, "And I guess you still aren't?" He asked rhetorically as Kaldur didn't reply to the question. Danny then chuckled weakly as he took a step away from him.
"Aw-!" Ellie started to say as she coughed, "Kward!" She yelled as she placed her hand down from coughing into it, "Danny, I want to see your classrooms," she said as she tugged at her older brother's T-shirt.
"You know what, Ellie?" Danny asked as they started to move away. Danny placed a gentle hand on the back of his young sister, "Great idea," he stated with mock happiness as they started to walk away now. "We'll be going, catch you two later!" He yelled as they disappeared into the crowd.
Alice chuckled softly as she looked up at the Atlantean with a small smile, "You're so anti-social, Gills," she complimented as she started to walk away. Kaldur walked with her as he glanced down to the ground.
"My apologies, I did not mean to come off as such," Kaldur said as Alice shook her head in amusement. "Danny just caught me off guard," he admitted as he sighed.
"Don't worry about it," Alice waved off his slight embarrassment, "I hope you like sitting at the student council room for three more hours," she said with mock enthusiasm.
Aqualad frowned, "That does not sound as bad as you voiced it," he said as he smiled softly, "An escape from this chaos sounds…" He trailed as he nodded gently, "Inviting," he said as Alice looked at him as she rose an eyebrow at his statement.
"Whatever you say, man," she stated as she placed her hand on his shoulder, leading him through the crowd as they tried to find the isolated room within the cluttered hallway.
Bruce walked into the small classroom with his small entourage behind him. He had a stern look on his face as he slowly took calculative footsteps towards the desk of Vlad Masters. The older halfa looked up, a dark look in his eyes as he smiled gently at the three of them.
"Ah, the Wayne family…" Vlad greeted as he eyed Jazz and smirked, "Jasmine," he said individually and Bruce narrowed his eyes at this before he politely smiled at the man.
"Mr. Masters, how are things?" Bruce asked as a welcoming statement, "Haven't seen you since the court house," he stated as he leaned against one of the students' desks, his arms crossed snuggly across his chest. He knew that stating the man's lost would agitate him, but he waited to see how well this man played the game.
Vlad placed his hands on his desk and merely chuckled, "Well, as you can see I have chosen to become a math teacher at a local high school," he obviously stated with mock happiness in his voice.
Bruce chuckled at that, "I see that," he said as he glanced around the room, "Why this particular high school?" He asked with a smile on his face. "Surely there are other private schools that you could surely be employed at?"
"I feel that this place just has the perfect climate to find a family in," Vlad said as his smile turned more into a smirk and Bruce felt a rush of anger rolling through him. He controlled it, however, as he merely shrugged, leaning off of the desk.
"Here's an idea, Mr. Masters," Jazz addressed as she walked up to the desk and slammed her hand down on it with a dark look in her eyes, "Why don't you leave my brother alone and live on with your miserable life?" She asked in a dark tone as she glared at the man.
Vlad observed Jazz's actions as he tilted his head slightly in amusement, "Now, Jasmine, why would I want to do that?" He asked as he chuckled slightly, leaning into his chair, "Daniel is such a great student," he mused as he crossed his arms.
Bruce narrowed his eyes, "If you say that my son," Bruce paused as he emphasized on the word 'my' with a smirk on his face. Vlad's face darkened at this, "Is such a great student…Why give him so many detentions?"
Vlad waved off the question, "I assure you, Mr. Wayne, those detentions were all earned by the boy," he said in a casual tone. "I would never give something to Daniel that he didn't earn," he mused as he looked up at Bruce.
"How has he earned them?" Bruce asked with a condescending tone, taking a step towards him, "One was for his phone in class, another was for a bad test score…" He muttered as he tilted his head in mock thought, "A test which was far more advanced than the other students, I might mention," Bruce stated as he took another step.
"We like to keep students in line, as well as advancing their curriculum," Vlad said with a shrug, "I am merely doing my job as an instructor, Mr. Wayne," he concluded with his strong argument that Bruce knew that why Danny was having such a hard time with the teacher. That, and this was Danny's worst enemy right in front of him.
Bruce merely smiled as he shrugged as well, surprising Vlad that he had let him win the battle of wits so easily, "Well, this has surely been a pleasure, Mr. Masters. I will be sure that you are correctly doing your job as an instructor," he said as he started to walk out of the room with his hands in his pockets slyly.
Vlad leaned back in his chair as he turned towards the exiting group, "Where is Daniel?" He asked in a curious tone as Jazz narrowed her eyes at him, "If you don't mind me asking, that is," he said in a suave and cunning voice that Jazz rolled her eyes.
"I'm not going to let you keep harassing my brother," Jazz huffed with a glare. "You've hurt him enough," Jazz stated as she turned around, exiting the room.
"Danny is around," Bruce stated as he turned around at the man with a dark look in his eyes and a smirk on his face, "However, I wouldn't be too comfortable," he threatened as he started to walk out again.
Vlad's smirk that was on his face immediately fell at that statement, "There's the Batman…" He mumbled as he turned towards the front, "Is that a challenge, Wayne?" He rhetorically asked himself as he started to chuckle and pick up a pencil that was left on his desk. He lit it up with a pin ecto-blast as he watched the chemical reaction start to turn the pencil into ash. "Because I always did fancy you for a long game of chess…" He mumbled as the pink fire went out and all that was left was ash. He fisted his hand with the ash in it as he looked over at the vacant doorway with a dangerous spark ignited in his eyes.
"Finally," Alice stated with a relieved breath as she opened up the student council room and noticed a lone boy who was already in there. He was reading a book and was sitting at the large round table. "Oh, sorry…" She mumbled as she walked in and made room for Kaldur to enter.
The boy looked up with his spiky black hair that was styled in a 'feathered' fashion and smiled at Alice softly, "Hello, president," he greeted as he looked over at the Atlantean and frowned, "And…?" He asked in a more harsh tone.
Kaldur looked up at being addressed and nodded, "My name is Kaldur'ahm," he addressed as he started to walk over to him with his hand outstretched, "My friends call me Kaldur," he stated with a stern look on his face.
"Matt…" Matt stated as he looked at the hand before looking back down at his book. "Enjoying the event?" He asked in a grim tone.
"No," Alice said as she took a seat. Kaldur placed his hand by his side as he took a seat as well, beside the water user. "In fact, whoever designed this needs to be cut from the council," she stated in a bored tone as he propped her elbow up on the table.
Matt chuckled, "Such scorn from the president…" He mused as he shook his head in amusement.
Kaldur glanced at Matt and then placed a hard stare on Alice. She looked up with a raised eyebrow, "Kaldur? What's up?" She asked as she glanced over at her friend.
"Nothing. I was merely observing that the two of you get along quite well," he stated with a small smile on his face. "I should best be going…In case my services are required elsewhere," he said with a stern tone as he stood up.
"Kaldur!" Alice yelled as she grabbed his red hoodie that he had worn to the event, covering up his Aqualad suit. He glanced down at her with a confused look on his face, "Don't go…" She stated as her face suddenly got flustered, "You just got here!" She covered herself up as she stood up as well, "You want to go see the cafeteria?" She asked in a rush as she opened up the door, almost knocking herself in the face in the panic induced rush. Kaldur placed a worried hand out towards her but she shook her head, "Let's go to the cafeteria. That sounds like a plan, right?" She asked as she started to walk out of the council room and into the crowded hallway. She held onto Kaldur's sweater tightly and he was forced out of the room with her as he barely had time to close the door behind him.
Matt watched with a frown on his face, "Looks as if the president's found a person that she likes…" He trailed as he shook his head, "I'm glad for her. She's a pretty girl…" He mumbled as he turned a page in his book, "With a great personality…" He said, anger laced in his tone. He then suddenly threw his book across the room, "Why am I so…Angry?" He asked as he stood up and placed his hands onto the table, his hair in his face as sweat rolled down his cheeks.
Danny sighed as he looked desperately for his family, but still couldn't find them. "Seriously?" He asked as he looked around, annoyance clearly shown on his face, "Whoever designed this event should…" He threatened but stopped when he noticed Vlad Masters coming out of his room. He looked around for Ellie and found her trying to phase her hand to get a soda from a vending machine.
"Almost…Got it…" Ellie mumbled as she felt around in the machine, desperate for a drink. She was suddenly dragged by the back of her sweater and found herself in a class room. "Hey!" She yelled in protest, but was quickly shushed by her brother as he hid behind the door. "Why are we hiding?" She asked in confusion as he placed his index finger to his lips. He glanced out the small window and watched as the man passed the door without any incident. Once he did Danny leaned against the door with a relieved sigh.
"Yes, Daniel, why are you hiding?" Vlad asked next to them, making the two young halfa's jump as they immediately scooted away from the sound of the voice and looked up at the man who was sneering down at them.
Danny then stood protectively in front of Ellie with a glare on his face, "What are you doing here?" He asked automatically. Vlad was about to say something, but Danny quickly shook his head and raised a hand in protest, "Don't answer that…" He mumbled as he looked down at the ground.
Vlad smirked as he looked down at Ellie with a dangerous glint on his face, "Now, why is the mistake here?" He asked as Danny growled at the man.
"I would also like to know why the mistake is here…" Ellie trailed with animosity in her voice as she glared at the man, "Would you like to explain?" She asked as she smirked at him.
"Hmph, how original…" Vlad trailed dryly as he shrugged and looked at Danny, "I had a lovely chat with Mr. Wayne," he stated as he straightened the top of his suit nonchalantly.
Danny rolled his eyes, "I already know. Was that supposed to surprise me?" Danny asked sarcastically as he crossed his arms. Ellie stood up as she looked at Danny and then at Vlad.
"Not at all, little badger," Vlad stated as he grinned, "I'll be seeing you at the memorial service, I presume?" Vlad asked as he started to open the door of the classroom. Danny remained silent as he glared at the man. "Ah! Why of course you're going to be there…Who am I kidding?" He asked rhetorically as he exited the room with his hands in his pockets as he ventured down the hallway.
Ellie watch his exit and stuck her tongue out at him, "What a freak," she muttered as she looked up at her older brother, "Are you okay?" She asked in concern as she tugged on his shirt gently.
Danny nodded, though there was water in his eyes, "I…He always does this…" He mumbled as he placed his hand beside Ellie and she took it with a small smile. She tightened her hold on his hand and leaned in closer to him.
"It's okay, Danny," Ellie stated as she led him out of the room and down the hallway, "We won't let him beat us…"
Kaldur watched the fidgeting Alice from across the lunch table. He opened his mouth to speak, but then closed it when she looked over at him. "What?" She asked as she crossed her arms.
"The two of you seem close…" Kaldur trailed as he looked off to the side, unsure of how to exactly bring up the topic. "As if you have a history with one another."
"We did," Alice stated as she looked intensely at the table, "When I was a villain and working for my father…" She trailed as she looked up at Kaldur and met him in the eyes. She drowned out the rest of the students and only focused on him. For the first time, the curse mark wasn't reacting. "I was involved with some…Some bad people."
Kaldur nodded his head, "Go on," he urged her to continue as she nodded her head.
"Sin," she stated as she fisted her hands, "He's a demon…" She said and then huffed, "Literally, like his brother; he comes from hell…His brother is Klarion," she said as Kaldur's eyes widened in shock.
"Does the Team know?" He asked in a soft tone as Alice shook her head.
"Only I do…" She mumbled as she looked back up at him, "Anyway, we were close…I didn't know what I felt for him…But he felt an intense longing for me," she said as she shrugged, "I broke things off with him when I met Matt, though." Kaldur looked at the water user and saw the clear pain on her face. She then smiled softly, "He didn't like the uh…The line of work that we were doing. He offered a way out, and I took it," she said as she let out a breath.
Kaldur took her hand that was on the table, "You do not need to continue if you do not wish to," he offered as she shook her head in reply.
"We were going to run away together…Away from all this fighting and running," she said as she placed her free hand on her head, "But Sin knew about it and led us into a trap," she said as she sighed, "We didn't know…We didn't know and Matt fought with all his might but…" She trailed as she looked down, "Sin…He…He ripped him apart right in front of me…" She said as she tightened her grip around Kaldur's hand. "He was dead with nothing to remain but a single black feather of what he used to be."
"He is precious to you," Kaldur said as Alice nodded.
"He was…" Alice stated in a stern tone, "Until I found out that he forgot completely about me," she said as she placed her other hand to grasp Kaldur's hand. "So I guess…My feelings were crushed," she said in a small smile.
Kaldur placed his other hand on top of hers and smiled gently at her, "My feelings were also crushed," he said as he looked at the table, "I left to train with Aquaman, leaving Tula behind…And when I came back…"
Alice sniffed as she smirked, "She found another guy?" She asked as Kaldur nodded. "Our love lives are messed up, huh?" She asked as the students started to thin out.
"It does not have to be," Aqualad stated in a serious voice. It made Alice look up with wanting in her eyes. "I believe the saying is 'Misery loves company'?" He asked as he looked into her eyes.
"I would…" Alice mumbled as she smiled, the curse mark seeming to leave her body, "I would like that, Kaldur," she said with a grin.
"What the hell is going on here?" Came a man's voice as he entered the cafeteria. Alice jumped in surprise as she looked to see who had entered and her face grew pale.
Kaldur looked at her and then at the person. He admitted that the person looked familiar, though he couldn't place where he had seen him before. "Who is-?"
"Dad…" Alice growled out as she stood up, releasing her hands from his as she fisted them by her sides. "The hell are you doing here?" She demanded to know as she took a few steps towards him.
"What?" He asked as he smirked, "Can't see my baby girl?" He asked as he folded his arms across his chest. "Is that a crime now?"
Alice narrowed her eyes, "Yes," she stated curtly.
Kaldur stood up, "You are Poseidon…" He trailed as he looked at the god in front of him with shock and amazement.
"Who're you?" Poseidon asked as he walked closer to the Atlantean and leaned towards him, "You smell like fish…" He muttered as he grinned. "Aquaman's boy?" He asked as he stood up straight.
"How are you even here?" Alice asked, standing in front of Kaldur protectively, "You're supposed to be in jail."
Poseidon chuckled, "I was! But then it got boring and…" He mumbled as he looked around the cafeteria, "You know how I get when I get bored!"
Alice huffed as she took a step towards him, "Go away!" She hissed out.
"Are you my daughters boyfriend?" Poseidon asked as he offered his hand, completely ignoring his daughter's order as he teleported beside the Atlantean.
"Don't take that hand! My father is a criminal! An insane psycho!" Alice screeched out as she pushed the man away.
Poseidon shrugged as he teleported a table away from them, "It's a condition. My daughter exaggerates my ADD to such an extent…" He mumbled in disappointment as he placed a hand to his chin as he observed the cafeteria with momentarily interested eyes.
Alice felt the urge to rip her hair out, "One of his interests was taking on crime for ten years!" She yelled as Kaldur's eyes widened.
"Details…" Poseidon shrugged it off as he teleported and quickly reappeared next to Kaldur, who took a step back in surprise. "So, are you her boyfriend?" He asked as he smiled at the boy.
"Get! Out of here!" Alice yelled as she summoned a water sword by her side and charged at him but he disappeared in water vapor before she could connect the attack. "Why are you even here?" She asked as she looked around the area.
"Because I want to be a father now…" Poseidon stated as he reappeared next to her with a grin on his face, "And we both know how persuasive I can be…" He said with a sadistic smirk on his face before it disappeared and was replaced with a frown. "Sorry…But just to clarify?" He asked as he looked at Kaldur again.
Alice rolled her eyes, taking Kaldur's hand, "We're leaving," she stated sternly as they immediately disappeared in water vapor.
"Ahh, that's my girl!" Poseidon stated with a proud smirk as he turned around and shrugged, "Wonder how her grades are?"
To be continued…
Reviews:
Pegasus Sword Master: Ah, well thank you! The plot likes to bend and twist a lot in this story, but that's because I only planned the first five chapters. As is the fanfiction way. Glad you like it so far!
Bibliophilea: Thanks! I kind of wanted to do it like the episode, but wanted to throw in my own twist to it so the beginning would be at the end, rather than the middle. I thought it was pretty weird though, but didn't really want to change it after I finished it.
Da999: I would, but I'm kind of making Alice get together with Aqualad. :/
Da Chaos Mistress: Yes he is. But that's Vlad. I think the important thing is that he is only 'acting' like a pedo, and isn't actually one. He just has a son complex.
jim89: I think Ellie and Sam will settle their difference fairly quickly just because they want to be closer to Danny. Younger Alice was really weird, and liked her profanities more so than adult Alice. I wonder how much creepier I can make Vlad? I don't think I could make him creepier than he already is. It's weird how indifferent Vlad is about Maddie's death, huh?
Minaly22: Oh, wow. I didn't even notice that. I mean, I know it sounded weird, but man…
: Me too! What a douche!
Ninuhuju: Good thing little Alice was around, otherwise Danny would have been SOL. Yeah, he's pretty adorable though.
Brenne: Yo, yo, yo, I'm back once again! Haha, a garden hoe. Must be because it's spring now, that's clever. Well, Bruce of course, won't like it very much and will try and remove Vlad from the school. Using his rich sources. I think Jazz will have her own adventure pretty soon. That would be a nice break after drama and drama.
Guest of honor: I am sorry, but this story will –probably- get finished this year. Hopefully.
Guest: Ah, sorry you feel that way, buddy. But Dan only makes an appearance in the very first chapter of the story. I mean, this does happen right after the Ultimate Enemy, so Dan is still pretty fresh in Danny's mine. And when you're in shock…Well, hallucinations happen, and that's exactly what happened. Well, if you didn't like the first chapter (can't really blame you, that is really rough work) then that's just too bad.
Jebest4781: Oh, the Bruce and Vlad bashing has only started. And, Jazz will have her own mini adventure in the series. Juuust wait for it.
KodiakWolfe13: Haha, fillers are just so awkward. But they're important, and that's what's…Important? Showdowns are so hard for me to write; I mean, I've never been in a fight before. Well, at least Vlad can't get any creepier than what he already is…I think.
A/N: Yeah, Aqualad/Alice, who saw that coming? I didn't. As promised, next chapter Danny will visit Amity Park for the memorial service. Bruce will be going, along with Jazz and Ellie. Bruce will have another confrontation with Vlad Masters, so it will be round two. Bruce doesn't plan on losing that round, though. Have a Merry May, and see you all in June! :)
