AN: Finally tests are over for now. Now maybe I can squeeze some more writing after school...

A faint ticking noise resonated throughout the blank room. There where no windows, no doors, no color. Ike sat in a white chair, his head hung in silence. It was a blinding silence. This silence was deafening. It was everywhere. It was suffocating, yet Ike made no attempt to leave.

Arms wrapped around Ike's neck and weight from behind accompanied it. Ike didn't move or respond. The room remained the same. No one was in there, but Ike. Yet the phantom sensation was still there. In his mind, he knew was slowly losing his sanity, but he didn't want to admit it. He is human, not a monster.

A white feather fell into Ike's hand. A wispy hand pulled back his wild hair. Ike averted his gaze to the person, but the hands covered his eyes. He sat up straight this time, unmoved by the sudden darkness. He heard someone giggle behind him. "I have your attention now, don't I, Aiku?"

"Who's this?" Ike asked annoyed.

The hands tensed up a bit as if Ike struck a nerve. "I want you to tell me..." The voice asked, "Before I uncover your eyes... Who are you?"

Ike narrowed his brows. The hands felt this. "Don't over think it. Who are you?"

"What kind of question is that? You're the one who knows my name apparently, so you better stop all this crap. I've been through hell and managed to come out of it a live. So if you know me, spit it out already. Why am I here and what do you want?"

"I'm not sure if did you came back..." the voice murmured.

"What was that?" Ike growled.

"Aiku, remember..." the voice pleaded.

"Remember what!?" Ike was getting irritated, "Get off of me, you sick b-!"

"You're going to feel a slight discomfort in your head."

"What are-!?" the hands forced themselves into Ike's eyes. He screamed in surprised and felt his brain being rattled around. He couldn't move as he was plunged into a world of color. He kicked around, swishing the balls of colors and occasionally mixing them together.

A blue blob with stubby wings appeared to him. Ike looked a the thing with disgust as it had no texture or face, it was just like an empty blue canvas, ready to create art. The blob's wing grew suddenly and straddled Ike. He wriggled within its grip, but the blob had already plunged into colors of green and violets.

The colors formed into a clay-like violet house and green grass. Ike looked at the house and saw red, blue, and yellow clay children running around. Something started scratching inside him. "This place looks crappy, but it's oddly familiar."

Suddenly a large crayon struck the scene and started drawing trees. No... People. The first one was a boy with wild, purple hair. The second was a little girl with a happy smile. The last one was a tall boy with smooth, blue hair. Ike looked up to see where the crayon came from and faintly saw the small hand retreating. "It's... extremely familiar."

Ike looked backed at the blob to say something, but was shocked when the blob was boiling and exploded colors everywhere. Those colors started eating away at the picture and everything, making everything dissolve to much more darker colors. The children's faces in the picture had different expressions; they were screaming in agony.

The whole cheerful place soon grew dark and movement became erratic and irrational. Ike took a step back. Scratched out faces appeared everywhere, crying and dying. They reached out to him, begging him to save them. Ike was too scared and freaked out to do anything, he turned heel and ran.

Black hands reached beneath him. Ike scrunched up his face and kicked them away. The exploded onto him, staining him in black colors. One of the hands grabbed his ankle and pulled him to the ground. Then more black hands shot out below him and held hims down, dragging into the void below.

Ike, now frightened tried to get away from these black hands. As he struggled, black and white erratic images flashed through his head. They all depicted children, starving, dying, and suffering. He tried to break free, but couldn't. He yowled in pain in despair when he realized he couldn't break free. When all hope seemed to be lost, an image of a smiling girl appeared.

Ike looked at the girl, startled and confused why she wasn't crying. Her face was familiar. Ike shut his eyes. Where has he seen her before? "Aiku!" Why can't he remember? "Aiku!" Who is he? "Aiku..." Ike opened his eyes, he stopped struggling and was half submerged into the darkness.

The young girl glanced at him and smiled. Ike reached a hand towards her. A sad smile poisoned her face as the darkness started to eat her away. "That's right..." Ike whispered. His body felt weightless, "I'm supposed to protect you right?" The girl looked surprised, but then she smiled and nodded.

With the final hand snapping away, Ike held the girl in his arms. He placed a hand on the girl's face. "I'm sorry, Lucina..." He closed his eyes and embraced Lucina.

Once he opened his eyes, he saw a boyish face that resembled Lucina. He wore a gentle smile and kindness seeped out of his eyes. "Welcome back, Aiku." he smiled.

Ike was speechless. Before he knew it, tears streamed down his eyes. The boy wrapped his arms around him. "Ike..."

"Why do I have to decide who has to die!? Isn't that what God decides!?" he shouted.

The boy wiped a tear away from Ike's face. He looked surprised by the sudden touch. "Ike, you are much more stronger than this... There is another option Ike..." The boy was engulfed in a white glow. "I will lend you my power..."

Ike looked surprised. "P-power?"

The boy nodded and leaned in closer, "It's all up to you whether you kill or not... You will not be able to control this physically. Instead, your heart will control it. If your heart is pure, then you will have no problem saving Lucina and your friends... But if it isn't..." The boy's face grew dark and he closed his eyes. "I know you can do this." He opened his eyes and smiled. "Will you not let me help you, Aiku?"

Ike thought for a moment. "If I can protect my friends... Then my heart is pure!"

The other smiled and leaned his face closer to Ike. Ike looked at him, a slight blush on his cheeks. The boy placed his lips on Ike's forehead, and Ike felt a warm, calming sensation course through his body. Ike's face became even more red as his body grew warm by this touch. The boy pulled away and smiled. "I have faith in you, my dear friend..."

Suddenly, the boy and the white walls mashed in together and faded away. Ike grew unbelievably hot and sweat dripped from his face as the comforting energy became very agonizing. He shouted in pain as his voice was drowned in the darkness.

Bowser looked at the boy before him, completely horrified. An Angel with smooth blue hair sat before him, wearing a smile. If it weren't for this Angel's piercing blue eyes, he might of looked very serene. The boy mouthed silent words which sent shivers down Bowser's spine.

Link even quieted down to sniffling. "I-ike?..."

The spiky haired boy broke free from the binds. He stood up and glared at Bowser with an intense yellow glare. Bowser stiffened and looked down at the boy. Morton, sensing his father was in trouble grabbed a sledge hammer leaning against the wall. He chuckled goofily as he made his way towards them.

"Ike! Look out!" Link shouted.

The boy grinned. Link shut his eyes and gritted his teeth. Thwack! thud... He didn't want to open his eyes. He knew he will reveal his sight to a terrible scene. Though the blonde couldn't bear the tense atmosphere thickening in the room. He hesitantly opened his eyes and was met with a terrible scene.

The sledge hammer was on the ground along with Morton, a red liquid oozed out of his skull. Ike took a step closer to Bowser. "You shall receive your divine punishment in time." Link felt a shiver run down his spine. That didn't sound like Ike.

'Ike' grabbed Bowser's throat and held him up in the air, despite the man being twice. The man gasped for breath, kicking in mid air. 'Ike' gave a sadistic smile "Ha, don't think you're getting out of this easy," Ike dropped the man on the ground. He gave him a cold stare, "Go and take that child with you."

The large man's body was trembling. He nodded and ran to pick up his son on the ground. Link was somewhat relieved Morton was just knocked out, but also concerned. 'Ike' had the perfect opportunity to kill Bowser. Why didn't he?

Link just watched in silent horror as his 'friend' broke through the walls where Toony and Lucina were still asleep. He picked up Toony's sleeping figure and walked over to Link. He stiffened a bit in fear as the blue haired boy came closer.

'Ike' gave a kind smile and placed Toony down so he can help unbind Link from the wheel chair. Link quickly picked up his younger brother and looked at the blue haired boy in awe. 'Ike' gave a sheepish smile and walked over towards Lucina was.

Link noticed how sluggishly the boy was moving as if he were about to fall asleep. He felt the sudden burst of energy growing weaker and weaker with every step he took. Toony started to stir into Link's arms. His eyes opened to reveal his cat-like eyes. He looked around, confused, then he noticed Ike. He tilted his head slightly, "Who's that person?... Is it an Angel?"

Link shrugged. He watched the boy stagger over to Lucina. He narrowed his brows. He just didn't know what to do.

Ike finally reached Lucina. He whispered a few words before collapsing next to her bedside. He reached up and grabbed her hand before passing out. "Ike!?" Link rushed towards him.

"Lucina..." Lucina, stirred a bit. "Lucina... Please, open your eyes..."

Lucina stirred around groggily. With a grunt, she managed to prop herself up, but sleep still kept her eyes closed. She felt as if that was the first time she slept in forever. She yawned, "Go away... I dun wanna wake up yet."

"Haha, is that some sort of new greeting for your brother, Lucy?"

Lucina's groggy brain didn't catch it at first. "You mean, big brother? He's not here..."

She stiffened when she heard the voice laugh. "Silly Lucy, how can you say that when you haven't opened your eyes yet?"

She slowly opened her eyes. Due to her grogginess, everything was blurry at first. As she opened them a familiar figure began to develope from the array of blues and greens. She rubbed her eyes and tried to make sense out of her vision. She was outside in the meadow of white flowers with the open azure sky smiling above.

She looked up at the young male standing above her. He then crouched so she could have a better look at him. A gentle smile softened his face. "It's been a while, Lucy. Has Ike been taking care of you?"

Tears formed at Lucina's eyes. Her cheeks grew red from struggling to hold down her emotions. Finally that well broke and all her tears mixed with the sweet taste of joy and the bitter taste of sadness streamed down her cheeks. She threw herself onto the young man and cried into his chest. "Big brother!" she wailed.

Her brother smiled and wrapped his arms around Lucina. "I'm here now, Lucy..." he wrapped her in a warm embrace, "It's all okay now." She continued to cry into his chest. She tried to take control of her emotions, but every time she tried, she failed miserably. Her brother stroked the top of her head reassuringly and they stayed like that for a while.

Lucina sniffled uncontrollably and wiped her nose with her arm. Her brother pulled her away slightly and began wiping away the stray tears away from her face. He smiled, "Lucy, you've grown up since the last time I saw you." Lucina nodded, not sure what he meant. His smiled turned into a slight frown and he sighed, "I wish I could protect you from those horrors..." He brightened up a little "Then again, Ike is much more stronger than me. I'm glad I was able to meet him..."

Lucina noticed something behind her brother. "Big brother, you're back?" she pointed to the white feathery substance coming from behind him.

His expression then became grave, "Listen, Lucina." His soft tone became an urgent sounding, "There is something big going to happen to you in the future. You must find the seer and escape immediately. The both of you must survive, no matter what." her brother stiffened "I have to go."

"Big brother!" Lucina cried out and tried to reach out to him, "Please, don't go," but her body felt like a bag of rocks and an intense feeling of sleep came down upon her.

"No matter where I am, I'll always be watching over you."

Lucina felt her consciousness slipping away from her. Her vision slowly deteriorated, blurring her brother's figure. She collapsed into the white flowers, scattering the white petals around her. Before she lost consciousness, she took note of how her brother's magnificent wings looked beautiful in this array of confusion and sadness.

Lucina woke up to Link's frantic cries. She blinked and looked around her surroundings. They were just asleep a few moments ago in their room... Also, why does Link look so beat up? She looked down her bedside where Link was shouting. She noticed the blue spiky hair. "Aiku?..." she whispered.

Link turned around and looked relieved for a moment. Realization and panic began to set in. "Crap, we gotta get out of here!" Link reached under Ike and carried him on his back. He almost buckled under the weight, but managed to stay up. "Hurry Toony and Lucina!" he slowly made his way our of the broken wall, "The Angels will be coming any second to separate each other. Toony and Lucina nodded in understanding.

They ran ahead of him and headed out towards the strikingly white hallways. They both looked both ways and frowned. Toony pointed to one side of the halls, "I hear footsteps that way!" Toony exclaimed.

"Then we'll go this way!" Link attempted running towards the other direction. Lucina and Toony ran a head of him. Link was already gasping for air and leaned against the wall to catch his breath. Toony turned around and frowned, "Come on, slowpoke!"

"Try running with someone on your back!" Link panted and continued to run.

In the corner of her eye, Lucina noticed a gaping chute. The footsteps were getting closer. Link bit his lip in thought and stared at the chute. "Okay, jump in!" Link told the children.

He placed Ike's body feet first and pushed him into the darkness. He helped Lucina in and she went down shouting "weeee". The footsteps were getting closer and he knew he didn't have that much time left. Toony looked up at him expectantly. "This looks fun!" Toony smiled, "Meet you down!"

They footsteps were already upon them. "Bye Toony! Listen to Ike when he wakes up!" Link roughly pushed horrified Toony down the chute and closed the hatchet. Link turned around and saw the R. coming towards him. He cursed under his breath and ran.

Link managed to smile bitterly. It isn't trivial, everything dies at some point. He was prepared for that, ready to sacrifie himself when needed. Though he thought he would live atleast a little longer... He gritted his teeth. He wanted to watch Toony grow up and become a man so the both can live a life to the fullest, but it only looks like he could partially fulfill that dream.

Link looked straight forward and saw Toony's childish smile. Link took a deep breath of air in and exhaled it, forcing himself to keep running until he can no more...

AN: Link's body was ready, but not his mind... BTW Ike's body is always ready. |D

Ooh, there are 2 types of Angels? :O Which one is good and which one is evil? :OOO

yeh, this was rushed and poorly handcrafted, lacking the human empathy, emotions and it's short :T. Next chapter should be interesting (hopefully better written)... I'll fix this chapter up later when I feel like it -w-

Until next time~
