Woah, where have I been and I actually updated this and am posting 2 chapters today? What is this madness!?
Sorry, I don't think I have a violable excuse besides say that writer's block hit me like a train, I became really lazy and started to procrastinate and play videogames, and then school popped up last month =w=;;;
All I can say, I will try to finish this... eventually...
So far, I had forgotten where the story was going, but don't worry. I'm slowly remembering or changing it to a much better course.
Without further ado. Here is chapter 5 & 6!
Computer screens flashed on and off. The sound of people smashing down keys on their keyboard resonated around the white room. A woman with long, blonde hair stood gazing out the window. As far as she could see, black marred earth stretched a far as the eye could see under the green daylight.
"Samus..."
The woman didn't turn around.
"We may have... a little problem."
"What is it." her cold voice sent shivers down the messengers spine.
"It seems that a few of Bowser's test subjects have escaped..." the grunt answered, hoping Samus won't put all the blame on him.
"Is that so?" she turned around, her piercing blue glare stabbing into the fear of her messenger. "That idiot... Bring him to the lab imediately, along with subjects 1-8."
"huh?" the messenger closed his mouth and didn't question any further. He bowed respectfully and rushed out of the room.
"Ooh, what's all that about?" a mischievous voice sounded.
Samus sighed and turned her attention outside. "Just teaching my subordinates to stay in their places and consequences if they fail their duties."
"What exactly are you going to do them?"
Samus grinned creepily, "Train them into better dogs of course."
"... You're a sick hag, lady, but I like your way of thinking."
"Shut up, brat. I don't care for your opinions. Remember, I'm the one using you and I don't need to listen to your trap." with that, Samus turned heel and started of the room.
"Yes, milady." the voice spoke. The doors closed behind Samus and the voice cackled a bit, "Whatever you say, hag."
Samus stood their, tapping her foot. She groaned at her subordinate's incompetence and looked like she was about to destroy the lab. She hated waiting.
The doors to the lab opened and the red-eyed man calmly walked in, hoping the woman wouldn't see through his facade.
"You called me in, milady?" he spoke respectfully.
"I have a question for you, Bowser. Tell me, what is the purpose of your research and how will this information benefit me and my organization, ANGELS?" she spoke intensely.
Bowser winced, but kept his cool composure, "To study angels, milady... We're gathering intel about the powers they possess and transforming those powers into weapons so they would be at use for your disposal."
Samus's cool look searched Bowser's face, "And how successful has this research been?"
Bowser hesitated, contorting Samus's face into a suspicious glare. "Well, we've been operating on adults and children to see if they can survive the angel's DNA. So far, adults have a 0% in surviving this experiment and children younger than thirteen have a 8% chance of surviving..."
Samus's glare turned into an irritated glare. Bowser looked nervous and added more to his report, "However, our research team has found a way to increase the survival rate. We found the Angel's have a special organ we've named the Jaded organ, located right under their heart. We found that the Angel's abilities and powers are located their and if we implanted this organ inside of a human, than the human would have a higher chance of survivng the angel's DNA. This moves the operation to a rate of 38% for survival."
Samus narrowed her eyes. "So you've been successful in transplanting the Jaded organ?"
"Yes, milady. Right now subject no. 6460 has successfully been implanted with the Jaded organ, but we are still studying him and making sure to find a drug to improve and counter his abilities. We're taking steps to prevent what happened last time, milady."
Samus's eyebrows twitched and she walked over to one of desks inside of the labs. She sat down on top of it, crossing her legs. "You know Bowser, I really hate it when people can't control their toys..." Samus shot daggers right into him, "Especially if those toys are to keys to success for this operation."
"Milady, I-" Bowser was cut off and Samus continued.
"However, even if it pains me to say it, you've done well enough to barely save your life. In fact, I'm going to give you a little reward." Bowser looked extremely surprised, but still wary. Nothing's ever too good to be true with this woman. Samus pushed the button on the desk and a door in the lab opened up.
Growling from within the misty doors froze Bowser with pure fear and shock. Samus continued on without remorse. "Since you have so much trouble controlling your toys, I've decided to let you use these dogs to guard them and put them in their place."
From within the mist, eight red eyes glowed brilliantly within the dim light. With a clawed paw forward, the mist subsided and revealed grotesque, green creatures with shells on each of his or her back. Bowser looked dumbfounded as he pieced together who the turtle like creature with red hair was.
"Instead of having disobedient children, you now have obedient dogs." Samus said nonchalantly. She looked over at Bowser who hadn't moved an inch. "Problem?"
"Kids... Do you remember who I am?" the eight creatures growled as they drew nearer.
Samus smirked, "They're mindless dogs, no different from mindless children that they were."
"But they're my children, how can you do this-!?"
"Are you questioning me!? Do you want the same fate as them!?" Samus threatened. "I don't expect any sympathy from a man who uses children as a test subjects! I don't want to hear a word out of you about morality!"
Bowser flinched and said no more. Samus glared at him, "Screw up again and you will be my personal bitch!" with that Samus stormed out the room, leaving a exasperated Bowser behind.
He reached out to Junior, his blood son. The creature growled at his outreached hand and Bowser had a crestfallen look on him. "I will make you pay, Samus... One day, you'll become my own bitch."
Lucina held Shulk close to her own body, crying into Shulk's lifeless body. Toony tried his best to reassure Lucina that Shulk was simply asleep and still alive, but she didn't believe him. Ike sighed and gather the three children in his arms and whispered, "We can bring back Shulk with our beating hearts. You just gotta shut up for it to actually work."
Toony saw through the bullshit, but Lucina looked wide eyed and happy that he didn't say anything. Lucina attempted to calm down her sniffling and tried her hardest to remain quiet and as still as possible. A good several minutes passed by before Shulk started to show any signs of life.
Ike let the children go and picked up the book. Toony, now interested in the book, left Lucina watch over Shulk as he sat next to Ike. "I don't think this book is for younger kids, Toony."
"You're a kid too." Toony answered back.
Ike didn't feel like arguing and he sighed, "Fine. Don't get mad at me if you get nightmares tonight."
Toony simple nodded and peered into the book as Ike opened it. The further they read, the more ruthless and graphic the experiments went. Toony looked away and covered his eyes, but Ike kept continuing to flip through the pages. A woman, being raped and killing her child; siblings sent into a slanted box for long periods ultimately killing themselves out of depression; twins dissected without anesthetic to see if the organs reacted the same way in one twin to the other. Other horrors were photographed such as the man with a living torso stitched to his back. Then Ike wondered what the point was for all of these experiments.
Ike then flipped to a page where there were two children, an older sister and younger brother that awfully looked similar to Ms. Peach. Ike read the information about some organ they transplanted into the children. The older girl's body rejected the organ as the pictures shown. She was bent into inhuman ways...
The boy somehow survived, but lost the ability to communicate correctly and seemed to be already mentally ill. He flipped a few more pages and all of them were all about cruel experiments done on the boy. In fact, he watched his mother get sexually abused by the author and recieved whips every single time he cried out.
Ike gritted his teeth in anger. This is not a book about experiments; this book is about plain torture. Anger welled up inside of him imagining all these innocent people having gone through this while he was alive during these five years.
Toony grabbed Ike, making him jump and snapping him out of his thoughts. He then grew concerned about Toony's mental health after reading this atrocity. "Ah, Toony, are you okay?" he asked earnestly.
Toony nodded, "Yea, I stopped reading at the fifth page." he looked over to Lucina and Shulk, "I think Lucina managed to wake up Shulk..."
Ike stood up and helped the short blond to his feet. He then looked down at the children in thought. How the hell is he going to get them out of here? He closed his eyes tightly as a migraine began to move deep inside of him.
AN: This chapter was made within two days... Also it was originally ch. 6... Sorry for the crappiness...
