High heels clicked down the stretch of empty, blank hallways. The woman with blonde hair turned a sharp left into a doorway where the doors automatically opened up for her. She looked into the room and her eyes rested upon the black haired boy sticking his arm out for a nurse. She walked over to him and sat down on a nearby chair.
"Oh, you're here?" the boy sneered. Samus ignored the comment and sat silently.
"What's wrong? Diarrhea?" the boy asked, wincing as the needle poked and began to drain his blood.
Samus sighed, "Work. Too many people are dying because of you."
The boy grinned, "My bad. I didn't take you as a sympathetic person. Let me just change my blood so everyone can live all willy-nilly and your little world." he laughed sarcastically.
Samus shot him a glare and he sent the glare right back with a smug grin, "There's nothing you can do about it. I'm your precious tool. If I break, you can't replace me."
"Whatever," Samus looked away.
"Why is almighty Samus coming by to check on me?" the dark haired boy watched the nurse leave, "Did I do something I wasn't supposed to again?"
"If I had any evidence then maybe." Samus spoke and looked up at him.
The boy grinned boyishly. He put his hands up in the airs for a stretch, at the same time, black wings protruded from his back. "So I am in trouble?"
"Not yet." Samus plucked a feather from the boy's wing. He jumped and looked angrily at her.
"What was that for!?" he shouted.
"I just wanted a feather, that's all." Samus tucked the feather in her pocket and pulled out a vanilla folder from her lab coat. She handed the folder to the boy for him to read. He cocked his head, but proceeded to read it. He looked up at her when he finished. "So what do you think?" she asked.
"Well, if you're really that desperate, then go for it. I'm not sure how much this... Hylian kid is going to handle it though."
"All I needed to know if he could survive." Samus smiled and took back the folder. The boy jumped off the table and followed after her as she started heading towards the door. She then stopped right at the door. "Oh and Kuro..." the boy looked up at her, "If any of those children dies, your feathers are going to fill my pillow cases."
Kuro grinned, "Hah, don't lie. You know that's an excuse so you can have me in bed with you." Samus glared at him, "But yeah, I'll make sure they'll live." he sighed as if it was a strenuous job.
The two left room room and headed down the hallway. Kuro looked around the hallway and thought for a moment. "Are we going to the meeting room?"
"Yes." Samus simply replied.
"Man, five years of living here and I still don't know where the hell I'm going 'case there is no way of telling which is where in these empty, look-a-like hallways." Kuro ranted.
"That's because you lack a sense of direction." Samus stated and turned into a different hallway.
"Blargh... I'll just rely on a worker here to help me where I'm going."
"And what happens if that doesn't work out?"
"Well... I'll figure it out myself." Samus didn't say anymore and two continued to walk in silence.
They reached an aluminum door with a pass code machine built into the wall. Samus punched in a few numbers and the doors opened up for them. Kuro and She strode in confidently into the small room and took their seat around the oval table.
Bowser was also there along with the Gerudo man. A large man with a big belly sat next to the Gerudo and an empty seat was on Bowser's other side. The fat man spoke up, "He's not coming today. He said he had business to deal with."
Samus muttered, "I'll deal with him later." She then cast a glare to the four men in the room. "Bowser, Ganondorf, Kuro, and Dedede. You know why you were called here?"
None of them answered. They looked intently at Samus except for Kuro who seemed to far more interested in his fingers than the meeting. "We've reached a milestone." Samus continued, "No longer are we pathetic humans running away from the angels; we have become stonger." Kuro looked up, "We are under way of creating a synthetic angel as a weapon for anyone who dares oppose us. We've reached a step higher to heaven and soon we will break into those golden gates! We've saved enough funds for this operation and found the perfect candidate to burden all this power to light half of the country."
Dedede coughed and Samus glared at him, "If we have that much power and money in hand, why don't we use it to build ourselves?"
"We don't have the time. We're already being targeted by the Peace Corps and UWSFF, anytime now, they're going to attack us."
"Then why don't we just build up our defenses."
Samus glared at him as if he were stupid, "Who will fight for an organization like us? Even if we brainwashed everybody here, almost all of the adults are dead and children are useless in battles."
"So we are really going into war, huh?" Ganondorf rubbed his temples, "And this is the best option we have right now?"
"I agree with Samus. It gives my division the chance to shine on the battlefield with a single human weapon capable of destroying countries with a flick of a wrist."
"Like what happened last time? What happens if history just repeats itself again, but this time we get all arrested and possibly killed? Or maybe the surgery fails and we'll be forced to surrender everything." Ganondorf retorted.
Bowser didn't say anything back.
"Have any better options?" Samus challenged.
"..." Ganondorf didn't say anything back.
"I thought so. Anyways we made sure the candidate can survive the surgery and that we have the necessary equipment to keep him in check. Everything has already been planned ahead and checked already to go through."
"So what the point of bringing us here if we don't have a say in this matter." Dedede asked.
A wicked grin crawled over Samus's face. "I was hoping you asked that."
Kuro got up and left the room. The three men looked at each other confused, but the sound of Samus slamming her hands down on the table got their attention. "There's a traitor among us..." The three men looked stunned and speechless. Samus pulled out a gun from her lab coat, "Okay, which is it?"
"Y-you're not serious are y-you?" Bowser asked.
Samus narrowed her eyes in disgust and fired the gun, barely missing Bowser's head. "Does that answer your question? Now spill it. Who's the traitor? I'm a very busy woman." she demanded coldly.
The three man sat in silence. She clicked her teeth in irritation. "Do I really have to kill everybody in this room? Just answer the damn question already before I really do get pissed off and kill somebody."
Unable to stand still no longer. Dedede pointed towards Bowser. Samus raised her brow and pointed the gun towards Bowser who started to panic. "Spit it." she growled at Dedede.
"I was going to tell you later! I'm sorry! I'm sorry, Samus!" Dedede groveled, "I saw him communicating with an agent of the Peace Corps! I'm sorry, Samus! Please! Don't kill me!"
Ganondorf looked shocked hearing the accusation and Bowser was frozen in fear to even defend himself. Samus's eyes turned into blue slits as she stared into Bowser's terrified expression. "Is that so." she said almost wistfully.
She pulled the trigger and blood splattered everywhere. Ganondorf's eyes widened in shock, but then he gathered himself. He ignored the blood on his right and looked at Bowser who looked like he just disemboweled himself. Samus blew out the tip of her gun and looked at the remaining two. "Fail me and you will be shot on sight." she started to walk out doors. She then stopped suddenly, "Keep an out for the traitor. If you dare lie to me, then you will be treated as a traitor as well." with that, she left the stunned men alone with the body.
Ganondorf stood up from his seat and looked at the mess on the ground, "Traitor, huh? Dedede should of just kept his trap shut instead of leaving us with unnecessary work. Atleast that greedy pig won't annoy me anymore." He then looked back at Bowser who was still frozen in place. "Shit your pants?"
Bowser looked down at his hands, "For a second, I thought she was really going to kill me..."
"You're an asset to her. If you died then she would be stuck with all your work." Ganondorf poked Dedede's body with his foot and grimaced in disgust.
"... What you said about before..." Ganondorf looked back up at him with a frown, "I... My last thoughts were about him... How I almost died from his hands..."
"The artifical angel?" Ganondorf pushed.
Bowser nodded, his giant hands gripping his face, "They both had the same look in their eyes... He killed everybody on my team that day and almost killed me if reinforcements didn't come in time. Other than that, he broke through the building with just a bat of an eye and rampaged throughout the city. It was like he lost his way of the world and became a detached monster. He lost his cause, his memories, his humanity. It was as if he was God's hatred and sorrow, sending hail and thunder from above on this corrupted world with his bare fist. Then the storm blew over and we could never find the boy or his remains. It's just like God has finally given up on us and that there will be no more retribution for our ugly hearts..."
"..." Ganondorf looked at Bowser as if he grew a second head. He shook his head and grabbed Dedede's body. "Whatever you say. Just clean up the blood, I'm going to dispose the trash."
Bowser covered his mouth and took a deep breath in. "... Crap, I lost it there..." he exhaled and looked at the blood trail and frowned. Bloodstains do not get out of white carpet that easily. He might as well replace the whole thing later and just wipe down the walls. He grunted and decided to let his underlings do it.
Ike winced when he sat down, his head felt like it was about to burst from this intense pain. He took a ragged breath and let it out. Lucina looked up at him, her gray-blue eyes glimmered with worry. Shulk shook her head and coughed up a bit. "Mu-mu-mu..." she stammered, but didn't continue anymore.
Instead she grabbed the book from Toony and flipped to a page with a blonde woman in bondage. Ike blushed at the sight and Lucina and Toony simply turned their heads away. "S-shulk!?" Ike looked flustered.
Shulk kept a straight face and opened her mouth to try form words. "Mu-mu-mumu."
"Mum? Mom?" Ike started to piece everything together. He looked at the woman in the page, her face was wrapped in bondage and her body bruised, but he could faintly figure out who this woman was. Ike took the book from Shulk and flipped to the page with the two blonde siblings. "Is this you in this experiment?" Ike asked.
Shulk nodded. "E-ai-zz..." the sound she made didn't come out how she wanted. She frowned and then looked at Lucina. "Ma-mu- arfff..." she tried and pulled back Lucina's hair.
"Marth?" Ike instantly got it, "How do you know him?"
Shulk looked around the room and shook her head. She instead focused her attention on Lucina as if she gave up on Ike. "Cii... Siii.." Shulk used her hands as binoculars and placed them on her face as if she were a look out.
Ike and Lucina looked lost until Toony chimed in, "Seer?" he answered.
Shulk looked at him and nodded. The gears in Lucina's head were grinding, trying to pull back memories of dreams. It was foggy and a little fuzzy, but she remembered the meadow of flowers and her older brother speaking of thinks she can't recall. But she remembered the word 'seer' and 'escape'. Then it all clicked in her head.
"Shulk's da siier! Big brother said leave with da siier!" Lucina nearly shouted in excitement as she solved a puzzle.
Ike looked at Lucina, "When did he tell you that?"
"um... In ah dream..." Lucina tried her best to recall the memory.
Shulk waved her hands as if she weren't finished. She quickly ran around the room, digging through piles of rubbish before coming back with with what looks like a map and two photographs. She picked up a dirty cotton swab and a strange container filled with orange liquid along the way. She set everthing down and infront of them, giving Toony one of the photographs.
She held out a photograph of sewage pipe with a girl drowning in the disgusting waters and placed it on one of the areas of the map. Shulk the looked up at Toony with her lifeless eyes with a slight frown. Toony was awfully quiet and gave the picture back to Shulk who solemnly nodded. Ike and Lucina realized the photo subject was Link.
"Is Link still alive?" Ike asked.
Shulk didn't reply back immediately, instead she placed the photo on the map where the laboratory is located. With the cotton swab and strange liquid, she painted wings on his picture. She examined the map once more before marking an 'X' on the sheet and an 'O' on the sewage plant.
Ike read the map, Link was on the opposite side of the of where the sewage plant was. "A-an-nngel..." Shulk pointed at Link. "L-a- lait." she moved to wear the 'X' was and then marked a trail to the sewage plant. "Go." She traced her finger off the map, "Fwee."
Despite the lack of structured sentences, Ike understood what she meant, but questions still itched in his mind that can't be answered. Well, not yet, exactly. Lucina placed a hand on Shulk's shoulder and smiled happily, "We can leave dis place and be family! I can be Mommy and Ike can be grandpa!" she excitedly shouted, "Then Shulk can live happy with family!"
"What about me?" Toony frowned.
"You can be Uncle!" Lucina smiled.
Toony didn't looked satisfied with that answer and pouted. Ike wasn't listening to the young children squabble over family positions, instead he was thinking hard to make sure they could escape.
Shulk looked over to Toony and Lucina who were now arguing and looked at Ike for help. Suddenly, the ratty blonde froze, a lifeless look washed over his face. Lucina caught notice of this and shook Shulk. "Shulk?" she asked concerned.
She shook her for a few seconds before the blonde finally responded. Shulk didn't look up at Lucina, instead she kept her down, away from Lucina's face. Lucina became highly concerned. "Shulk? You okay?"
Shulk went over to Toony and rested her face into his chest. Toony was surprised by the action and blushed a bit, "S-shulk?" he stammered.
Shulk shook her head in response and stayed liked that.
Lucina frowned and looked at Toony, "No fair! Shulk likes you better than me! She's your wife now!"
"Whaaat!?" Toony looked flustered, "EH!? I-I... I'm too young to get married!"
"But Shulk likes you! I can't marry Shulk anymore 'cause of you." Lucina pointed out.
"S-shulk! P-please... Say that you dun w-want to m-marry me!" Toony looked exasperated.
Shulk shook her head and buried her face deeper into Toony's chest. Toony looked like all hope was lost. He looked up at Lucina with a very desperate face, "P-please..!"
"Nope. You two are gunna git married and have meny kids. Me and Ike will support you doe."
Toony's jaw dropped, but he didn't argue anymore. He sighed and patted Shulk's head. "I guess... I am really stuck then..."
Ike looked over at the children, completely oblivious of what had happened. He raised a brow when he noticed Shulk's face buried deep into his chest, but didn't say anything of it. "Hmm... I guess ya'll are still tired from today's events..." Ike thought aloud, "Fine, I'll tell all of you tomorrow. Ya'll are still kids and still need sleep to grow to become stronger." he smiled gently.
Ike and Lucina looked around the room for blankets since Shulk refused to leave Toony alone. Once they found the blankets, they settled in rubbish for a good night sleep.
AN: Sorry about how awkward the story is, I'm trying my best to get it going. It's going to get action-y really soon, I promise.
Sorry if you were expecting more of Marth's point of view. I might write in his perspective later on, but not now.
... Also, should I change the rating to M now? To me personally, it's not all that graphic though... ;e.e
Until next time~
