AN: Part 2/4 update 1/11/16

"Status report." Bowser demanded, his eyes red and sullen.

"The experiment is at 80%. Vital levels are at 230%. Energy levels at 560%. Internal levels at 67%. Physical levels at 52%. Mental level is at 33%," a worker read out the report. "Here's the result of the x-ray. The white areas is where the patient is constantly healing."

The black figure of the patient was shown on the screen. White flecks scatters around his body from needle wounds, but a whole chunk of them gather near the patient's right side like a gash, around the ankles, around the hips, and slash like marks on its chest."

"Good, keep on working."

"Sir, if we continue working on them, the higher possibility of their mental, internal and physical levels will drop, either completely destroying them or making them useless."

"That means the higher possibility of me killing you, "Bowser grabbed the worker's neck, lifting him up in the air, "So that means if we stop right now, I will kill you! If the experiment is a bust, I will still kill you! Keep on working your best and I'll think about not ending your meaningless life right now! Understand!?" Bowser growled threatenlingly.

"U-undersood!" the worker managed to choke out. Bowser dropped the man to the ground. The worker gasped for breath before standing up tall, "I'll make sure our team does our best." with that, the worker ran off.

Bowser scoffed at him and turned towards the x-ray. Who's ever causing his much damage to the experiment must be deal with. He let out a snarl and walked away.

. . . .

"Kuro, tell me more about the Miracle Children Facility." Ike demanded.

"No." Kuro answered.

"Why not!?" Ike growled.

"Cause I have questions to ask first." Kuro answered, "Then I'll answer your stupid questions."

"...rrgh... Fine." Ike sat down on the black sofa.

Kuro grinned and laid himself down on top of the black loveseat infront of the couch. "Good. Now tell me more abou this Marth person."
Ike jumped out of surprise. He wanted to ask how he knew about Marth, but Kuro answered it himself.

"I keep on hearing Marth this, Marth that from the old hag of a woman. She won't explain to me who that guy is as it's 'classified information' and 'i'm too young to understand'. So tell me what you know about this dude." Kuro asked.

"...Well, Marth and I... We were best friends before all of this stuff happened." ike answered.

"I read that you in him came around the same time as eachother." Kuro yawned.

"He's Lucina's older brother."

"Really?..." Kuro looked a bit intrigued.

"Yeah, we used to play a lot together before all of this." Ike's voice was getting soft as he reminsced the old days.

"I don't care about this or that from the good ol' days. Answer me! Was he special in any kind of way?"

Ike looked at him and shook his head, "No. He's just an average kid just like me."

Kuro frowned as if that answer left a bad taste in his mouth. He sat up straight and stared into Ike's eyes.

"If he was just an average kid, this shit hole wouldn't be making fuss over a kid like that. Are hiding something, to keep this kid safe? I told you to tell me everything and I can easily turn you into he faculty, remember!? So answer truthfully and more detailed! Why is that kid so special!?" Kuro's voice grew louder to he point where the children stopped and looked at him.

"..." Ike didn't know what to say after that and Kuro sighed.

"Sorry, lost my cool." Kuro stood up, "We'll talk about this later once you reflect more about your 'friend'. Anyways, food should be here." he walked over to the wall where a metal chute hid. He yanked it open and pulled out a cart of food filled with cakes and cookies along with various, delicious looking meats and gross vegetables.

Lucina drooled as the aroma of the savory dinner wafted in the air and danced in her nostrils. Kuro smiled and rolled the cart to the ebony, dinner table. "Come here, kiddies, dinner is served."

All of the kids rushed towards the table, eagerly waiting for their share. Ike helped Kuro to serve the children and soon enough, the starving kids ravenously ate their food, asking for more. Despite the laughter and the mess, Ike's face wore a melancholic expression. No one seemed to noticed as they devoured the food like wolves. Kuro glanced at him, impatience flashed in his eyes as he returned to the rowdy meal.

Ike looked up at everyone, smiling and laughing at the table. He realized how far and distant that they seem to be...
