"Do I really don't remember a thing?"

"Who was I?"
#$...
Ike woke up on the middle of the cold floor inside a dark house. Right before him stood a grandfather clock, ticking solemnly alone the room. Ike looked around and saw that the moon was out and it provided limited light. Ike's eyes widened in surprise, from what he could remember, this was his Aunt's house.
He stood up and realized there was no doors, just an empty room with only a giant clock in it. He frowned and then decided to examine the clock a bit more. "What's this?" he said to himself as he found something glowing behind the crack on the wood. He peered into it, recieving a memory from the past.
"I can't wait until we get to the ocean, Ike!" a girl with brown hair smiled.
The boy grinned excitedly, "I hope we see sharks! I want to try one!"
"That's all what you think about, Ike! Food. Why not just enjoy the ocean and us?"
"... I rather just eat."
The girl pouted and turned her back from Ike.
"And take my little sister on an adventure when we get there."
She quickly turned around and wore an excited grin, "I'm going to bring our Adventure bag then! Then I'll collect a lot of seashells and..."
The blue haired boy smiled and nodded as he listened to his little sister ramble on about what they could do at the ocean.
Tears rolled down Ike's eyes. He surprised himself as to why he suddenly cried like that. He then remembered he never did visit the ocean which is a bummer, but that's no reason to cry. He sat down, staring into the clock, trying to remember.
Pure white feathers surrounded him in a warm embrace. The sparkled brightly before glimmering dully as they hit the ground, disappearing in doing so. A girl sat behind him, sitting on top of his shadow. She looked down on the ground with a look of despair on her face.
" #$..."
The blue haired boy crawled with his elbows and pulled himself out from burning metal. A sharp pain jolted from his left leg in doing so. Blood dripped from his face as he tried to sit himself up. He stared in horror the wreck before him.
All of his and his family's belongings were scattered everywhere while a huge heap of metal lied, burning up every cherishable memory. For one second, he and Mist were laughing and then the next second, he was out here. Movement caught Ike's eye and he saw a small hand reaching out.
Ike crawled his way there, ignoring the painful scream his body sent him. He grabbed the hand and peered into the frightened girl's face. "I'll get you out!" he tried pulling her, but she screamed in pain.
"No! I'm stuck! I'm stuck! My leg's stuck under the seat! I can't move it anymore, but it still hurts!"
Ike froze. In his condition, he was too weak to help and if he tried pulling her anymore, then she'll just get hurt. Ike gritted his teeth as he realized how weak and useless he was. The car creaked above them and both of their faces dropped. The boy, still believing he could save his sister, shouted, "I'll get you out myself!"
The girl looked at her brother in fear and pushed him away. "No! Go away! You're going to die if you try to save me!" she understood her fate and tears poured out of her eyes."Leave me!... Please, get away from me or you're going to die with me!"
"No! I'm going to get you out! I refuse to let you die before me! I won't let you die here without me getting mad at your future boyfriend and watching you grow up into a beautiful wife with a happy family! I won't let you!"
Tears stained the girl's cheeks. Regret and angst washed over her as she knew her life would be cut short and she would never get to experience the fruit of old age or her dreams, no matter how far off or close they seem to be, she will never see them come true. Even through all this emotional and physcial pain, she forced out smile, "Don't put me in anymore pain. Just give me a break will ya?" she cried.
With all her might, she managed to push back Ike to a safer distance, in doing so, she felt her leg rip slightly. "I love you, big brother." she still smiled.
Ike watched in horror as the heap of metal gave way, crushing the tiny little girl under its weight. Tears streamed down his face as he tried to move the hot metal away, significantly burning his hands. "Mist! Mist!" he yowled, but she never did reply back.
He rested his face against the hot metal, not caring that his face was burning. A siren from the distance grew louder and louder, but Ike didn't care. He hoped that the car will explode so he could die too.
" #$... ! r3 /y w n+3d +0 l!v3..."
Ike heard strange noise behind him. He turned to only see his shadow. What was really there, wasn't there he thought. He felt the phantom touch of being hold and a cold sensation dripping down his back, but there was no one there and his shirt is still dry. He turned back around and faced the clock.
"Hello, this is your aunt, Meg. My husband is currently shipped overseas so it is quite a bit lonely since we don't have any kids and it's been rough since my little sister died in that wreck... But they would want us to keep living right? Nice to meet you, Ike."
"..." Ike said nothing.
"He's a very gloomy kid, isn't he?" Meg said to the social worker.
The woman nodded, "He's been in foster care for almost a year now and had been placed in ten different houses already. Since we found out that he had survivng relatives, we thought that you could take him in."
Meg nodded, "Of course. Though it's the first time that I met him since me and my sister lived so farway from me and that I keep relocating because of my husband's career. But I'll make sure to take good care of him."
The social worker smiled and nodded, "Thank you. I wish the both of you a good day." The woman left, leaving Ike and Meg alone.
Meg looked at Ike and gave him a sweet smile. "I heard you had a terrible conduct in the other families, always picking fights with other children. Also, you have terrible grades in class and that you can't even read or spell your name. What a worthless child my little sister raised."
"..."
"But you are my pathetic child now." Meg hugged the gloomy child, "I'll protect you now."
Ike grew cold. Cold and lonely in the empty room. The clock kept ticking, but the scrawny, burnt hands never did move within their grave.
Ike was always alone. It wasn't always like that the first month. Of course he was scolded when he did bad things, but the boy was loved. He yearned for love and wanted to be loved. He realized he would never be good enough to recieve love. Ever since that letter, Aunt Meg cried for a week straight and until now, she's completely changed.
She looked at the young boy with an awfully sweet smile, but mirth glimmered in her eyes as she pulled out a belt with a large buckle from the closet. "I love you, Ike." she spoke softly as she beat him, "You're so pathetic and worthless, but you are my child. I'll protect you..."
A summer vacation filled with pain and twisted love, the boy was always alone when he entered school. No one dared to speak to him, no one dared to look at him. He always sat in the corner, thinking of what's waiting for at home for him instead of reflecting on his bad behavior. Adults looked the other way while other children neglected him or abused him as well. He didn't know what he was living for...
He was always apologizing at home for what he had done, but kept doing so, despite how much he was getting beaten. Aunt Meg thought this child was sick and even refused to let him inside the house. She even left him outside during the harshest days of winter. Finally, on one of the coldest days of winter, Ike was sprawled on top of a hill with a lonely, leafless tree.
He couldn't move and his body as gone numb from the cold. He looked up at that ugly, dying tree and saw himself, looking straight at him. He closed his frosted eyes and waited for the last breath to leave him. There's no hope for a weak boy in this harsh, cruel, world.
Ike stared into the clock's face. Feathers glided down brillantly in the room, piling on top of eachother like snow. A light blue scarf wrapped around his neck as well as an embrace from cold arms. "I didn't know... I didn't know..." he heard someone cry regretfully.
The young boy felt something sharp prod his rib. He grunted and rolled to the otherside in response. "Oh, thank god you're alive! I thought you were dead! That would have left a good impression on this new neighborhood."
Ike grunted at the noisy stranger. "Shut up." Ike simply spoke and tried to attempt to die. To his dismay, the stranger kept talking.
"Hi, I'm Marth Lowell and i just moved here." the boy completely ignored him, "You're going to die if you sleep out here like that."
"..." Ike refused to respond and ignored the other.
The other hesitated a bit, but soon started to talk again, "No, no, no. We are not having this. Sir, you are coming with me."
I didn't respond back or even try to move. Marth ended up picking me up, but it felt like that he could drop me at any given moment. During that whole time he tried to help me, I kept my eyes closed and fought back when he reached out gentle hand. I didn't him to help me, I just wanted to stand beside him... That's why I never told him anything...
Ike!...
Ike felt like if something just slapped him awake. He noticed a blue scarf wrapped around his neck and the cry boy sobbing into his chest. Ike gave a sad smile and patted his head. "I'm sorry... I should of told you..."
The boy looked up and with sob of relief, he threw himself at Ike, nearly toppling the spikey haired boy over. "I thought I almost lost you there!" he cried happily.
"Yea... yea..." Ike hugged him back, "Thank you..."
The two boys seperated and Ike turned around to see the brown haired girl, crying on top of his shadow. Ike smiled softly and called out to her, "Mist..."
The girl's head perked up and she looked back towards Ike. She began to fade, but a happy smile stained her face. She mouthed a few silent words before disappearing completely. Ike watched as his shadow stretched to connect with him. He gave a bittersweet smile and then looked back at Marth, "I really did try to forget my past, but that's what makes me who I am, huh?"
Marth nodded, "Yes. Without it, you would never know the experience and lessons it leaves behind."
"And forgetting I actually had a loving family..." Ike sighed.
"Hey, Lucina and I love you too." Marth chuckled.
Ike smiled, "Yeah, you two are family, even if we're not blood related."
Despite them enjoying each other's presence, they both knew something horrible is soon to come. Marth gave a bitter smile, "Atleast we got to see each other one last time before the storm. You know why I'm here, aren't you?"
Ike nodded, "Don't worry about hurting me, I'll be fine."
Marth still didn't look convinced, but nodded anyways. "I still feel horrible about this though." Marth's wings stretched out and glowed brilliantly, melting away the home.
"Don't be." Ike looked up in his face and smiled. "Hey, I was the one who agreed to this."
Marth simply nodded his head in understanding and closed his eyes. His eyes suddenly narrowed as he looked behind him. Ike mouth went agaped as he heard clapping from behind Marth.
The blue haired boy slowly turned his head and glared at the dark haired boy from a far.
"Hey, don't stop just because I'm here." Kuro grinned, his black wings tucked in neatly behind him.
