AN: Whoopsies, had this chapter done for a long time now. Anyways, contest is canceled since I'm not able to keep track of it or my life. Also dang... It's March already? I really need to get my stuff together.

Without further ado, Chapter 14!

The world was spinning uncontrollably. The ceiling from above mixed with the scattered items on the ground painted in ebony. With a swift change of pace, Ike vomited on the floor. A dull pain resounded in the back of his head as he dozily grimaced at the putrid, black vomit. He rolled his head back and groaned.

The children heard the mess and Lucina was quick to act. She ran towards Ike, holding onto to him with teary eyes, crying out, "Are you ok?"

Toony followed after with a worried expression. Robin and Reflet grimaced at the vomit on the floor. "I'm not cleaning that up." Reflet frowned.

Robin focused his attention onto the older boy, "Ike..." he has a serious expression on his face.

"Lucina, get off of me... You're making my headache worse." he groaned.

Lucina climbed off, feeling a bit dejected. "Ike...!" Robin said more firmer.

The spiky haired boy winced in pain, "Please! My head feels like it's splitting!"

Reflet looked at Robin worried, "I don't think he notices us... Should we put him to sleep?"

Robin sighed, "Yeah... We're not getting anywhere with this."

Robin and Reflet closed their hands into a prayer, their lips started moving. Robin closed his eyes and Reflet up at Ike. She jumped as soon as her eyes were trapped under Ike's piercing, blue eyes. Robin looked up at Reflet confused then followed her eyes to Ike.

"Don't you dare put me to sleep!" he growled, pain imminent on his face.

The twins stood stun and frozen in fear. Even Toony and Lucina started backing away. Ike rose up, a hand clutching onto his face. "I'm going to kill that bastard! I'm going to kill that bastard!" he gritted his teeth, almost looking demonic.

Lucina started whimpering, "Aiku... You're scaring me..."

Screeching and scratching ripped through Ike's ears as he walked straight out the large door. The atmosphere around the children grew heavy as the door was slammed shut.

Tears formed in Lucina's face and she let out a wail. Toony tried his best to console her and then looked up at Robin and Reflet for help.

Robin finally snapped out of it. He face hardened into a frown, "Ike's tainted."

Reflet wore a solemn expression on her face, "It seems so? Too bad..."

"W-what do you mean!?" Toony asked wide eyed.

The two cocked their heads slightly, wearing a dark expression. "He's sinful. Filled to the brim of an ugly existence. Our time for fun is coming to an end."

The two adverted their attention to Shulk who stood in the same spot for the whole entire time. The messy blonde's eyes were wide and empty.

"You know what's going to happen... Don't you?" The twins said at the same time. A grin thinned out their lips, "I wonder if you can really change fate."

Shulk felt the grassy breeze run through his golden hair. The open plains moved like a green ocean from being combed by the wind. He stared up at the clear, blue sky and waited. His eyes closed as he savored the breeze.

Once he opened those empty eyes, a sickening face appeared, filled with remorse and agony. Shulk calmly patted the boy to sit down next to him, which the latter did. Shulk took in a deep breath of air and let it out, trying to savor the last bits to this dream.

"He lost control... " the figure spoke solemnly.

"..." Shulk watched him with half-lidded eyes of apathy.

"I've... Tainted him with negative emotions and now he's insane." the boy covered his face with his hands in regret, "He's going to take another life... Stop him... Please."

"..." Shulk frowned and watched the incoming clouds. "... You're power is almost gone... You're about to die soon, aren't you?"

The boy looked up at him, a look of despair washed over his face, "Yes..."

"... " Shulk looked at him, "Don't try to save Ike... In fact, don't walk into other people's minds after this... "

"..." The boy with yellow eyes looked down.

"... Don't kill yourself in that battle... Your interference will make things worse...Besides..."

The boy looked confused at Shulk's sudden optimistic behavior.

"There's a chance for a reunion..."

The boy gave a choked laugh, his eyes gleaming in mirth. "Yeah, right. That makes you a murderer as well, killing off a friend so you can make one little girl happy. You know the outcomes of this as well as I do, Shulk. I'm going to die either way. One of them is going to die too regardless of your choice."

Shulk watched the boy cackle in anguish. "The future isn't written... I can change it..."

"All you're going to do is make a mistake, like all of the other times. There's no reset power this round... All actions are final..."

Shulk stared at the boy with determined eyes, "Marth... I will change the future where everyone is safe."

Marth snorted and stood up, "You're annoying me..." The sullen boy looked up to the cloudy sky. A raindrop hit his cheek. "..." With that, a black feather glided down gently where Marth used to be.

Shulk felt the rain pour on him, his eyes closed. This time, he and his friends will all survive. Shulk rose up up to his feet, the rain pouring down harder. The future is always so bleak... Even with a flash of color, it'll still look gloomy on a rainy day. The blonde's eyes watched the clouds slowly tear apart themselves, revealing weak rays of light. Every step forward must be carefully calculated from now on.

Shulk's eyes flashed blue. Robin and Reflet gave him a challenging stare while Toony was holding onto crying Lucina with a confused look. Shulk lifted his head and gave a nod. A hoarse note escaped his lips which made him frown. He searched Toony's face who looked very distraught.

"Shulk!?" he cried out.

Robin and Reflet gave an innocent smile, "Silly boy. Grima can't wait to see you soon."

Shulk snorted and ran up to Toony. Lucina's eyes were red from crying, but she still held hope. "You can save us, right, Shulk?"

Shulk didn't answer. He looked up at Toony and grabbed his arm. Toony nodded, "Okay, let's go find Ike..."

"Wait a minute!" Reflet stopped them. The three children glared at them.

Robin shrugged, "We're not your enemies... yet..."

Reflet nodded, "It's dumb to run after him now. Those 'Angels' whatever you call them are at war. They will kill you, even if you're a kid or an experiment."

"It's best to wait out here until the rush goes down." Robin added thoughtfully.

The children looked at them suspiciously.

"We're not going to do anything! We promise!" the twins gave a sheepish smile, "We'll accompany you to find Ike!"

"He should be where Kuro is..." Robin thought out loud.

Reflet nodded, "We have sensors whenever Kuro is in danger! But in the meantime, I want to teach Lucina how to read!"

Toony spoke up, "How can we trust you?"

"Shulk of course! Right, Shulk? We're going to find Ike together, right?" Robin asked.

Shulk grimaced, but nodded. Robin looked up at Toony and held out a hand, "Truce!"

Toony looked doubtful, but took the hand nevertheless, "Truce..."

Reflect squealed all giddy like and grabbed Lucina's arm, "Come on! We're going to read some teen romance novels!"

"Ra-rawmaanss?" Lucina looked surprised.

"And improve your speech too while at it." Reflet smiled.

Shulk looked visibly irritated and sat down on the couch, his fingers tapping the couch furiously.

Toony found it strange for the always, quiet and dull boy to express this much emotion. He actually believed the child was lacking in that part of humanity and was almost monster like. For him to be expressing his irritation like that made Toony worried. He took a step forward to talk to him, but felt and hand on his back.

He turned and saw Robin who shook his head. "He needs time to cool off. Don't worry, I'll keep you company."

Samus punched the wall, leaving a hole in it. "At a moment like this, those bastards choose to attack! Kuro!"

Kuro appeared sitting on a table, "Yes, old hag?"

"Do something about the enemy! Hold them back until the experiment is complete!" she commanded.

"ugh... Fine..." Kuro frowned and vanished.

Samus turned around and saw Snake. "What the hell do you want?"

"You seem to be in a good mood."

Samus narrowed her eyes, "If you're not going to be any use, I'll just fire you!" she pulled out a gun and aimed it at Snake.

"Relax. I'm your war tactician, remember? Anyways, I got Intel about the enemy's plans of attack." He causally walked to the computer and pulled up a map of X's and O's. "The X's is where enemy's are planning to attack or currently attacking and the O's are where the facility has been destroyed. They're trying to infiltrate the laboratory, but unfortunately for them, they have no clue where its located."

"Shit, they even gotten to the North wing. Call for reinforcements at Sector C and D and reinforce the laboratory. Clear the East wing and set the hounds loose. The less casualties, the better." Samus commanded.

Snake nodded, "Orders sent." he looked up at Samus, "Now, Miss Samus, I've got a question to ask you."

Samus glared at him, "Hurry up and ask it so you can leave."

"Tell me why... Why are you so intent on creating this new world?"

"... A world where everyone is strong, but at peace. A pure world, purged from its impurities... A dream... A wish... " Samus looked lost of thought. She then turned towards Snake, "You'll never understand. Go away now, traitor."

Snake looked at her, filled with pity, "It's people like you who get played so easily. It would of been better if we would of just settled down together and live out a peaceful life. Good luck." with that, Snake turned and hesitantly left the room.

Samus looked out the window, frowning. Her knuckles went white and her nails sunk into her hand. She gritted her teeth and punched the wall again, tears streaming down her face. In the end, she was getting played, huh? Seems about right. She wiped her tears and stared up at the monitor. She was not giving up without a fight.

AN: It seems kinda rushed, but that means less filler chapters and more action... Also means we're nearing the end as well...

It also looks like we might be getting a Samus chapter too... RIP Marth. Also what are those twins after anyways? Blasted meddling kids!
