As they left, Tomoyo was doing her best to look innocently concerned. Since she couldn't act, she just looked guilty.
It was obvious she'd been set up.
But Sonomi was better at this game than her daughter. "Well, that could have gone worse; although I'm sure that if Grandfather had been here it would have been an awful scene. He hates surprises. Maybe I should have a private investigator look into your classmates. Just to make sure nothing unpleasant ever happens," she said thoughtfully.
Tomoyo tried to look nonchalant, which came off as horrified, and began to talk.
Sonomi smiled.
