Upon arriving to school with much prodding and encouraging from Rin, Yukio actually began to feel comfortable with the situation if you could really call it one. He received many compliments through out the day to which he denied politely. It was before he was preparing to resume teaching his cram class he was greeted by Shura.

"Hey spotty! How are ya?" She clapped him on the back to which he flinched a little. Just a little.

"Oh hello Shura." He greeted her back.

He began to take his supplies out of his bag as she chatted away about what she had been having the class do currently. It was once he stood up again she went quiet.

"Hey, you look different."

She put a hand to her chin dramatically and made a puzzled expression. Yukio looked away for a moment before meeting her eyes again.

"You got a haircut?"

"No. I-"

"Oh wait! I got it! You got new glasses!"

He nodded stiffly.

"Hm. You actually look almost kind of cool. Almost." She said teasingly before leaving the classroom.

He couldn't help but accept the almost compliment. If you could call it that.

Once it was time for class the students started filing in Izumo the most punctual followed by Shiemi and the trio, his brother no where to be seen. He couldn't help but notice an odd feeling around the room. Although he and Rin had made reconciliation regarding the incident they had all witnessed the room was obviously tense. They had reason to be weary of him, he reasoned. To them he was now 'the formerly trusted teacher that tried to kill his brother.'

He began to introduce the new lesson when a pink haired student raised his hand with a mischievous look upon his face.

"Yes Shima?"

"Did you get new glasses?" Everyone straightened up in interest at this, some finally noticing the new devepment. Shiemi's eyes widened in awe at this realization.

The exorcist looked caught off guard by this sudden change of pace, he shuffled his papers before looking down at his shoes. His cheeks became noticeably pink. He cleared his throat before speaking.

"Well… Yes I-"

Just then his older brother burst through the door wheezing and sputtering as if he'd run a marathon.

"Please take your seat Rin." The demon looked around oblivious to the tenseness in the room.

"Sorry Yukio."

The younger silently thanked him graciously for taking the spotlight off of him. They began to go through class as usual, their teacher having to regain the focus of a certain student several times.

Once class was over they all filed out, Suguro giving his teacher a long stare to which the other smiled flatly.

"Oh Yuki chan!"

Both twins turned toward the tamer in surprise.

"Um… W-well I think…"

It was obvious she was having a hard time looking into his eyes as her grassy ones darted around in nervousness Rin watched on nosily over her shoulder.

"Your new glasses are really cool! They suit you!" She said finally, her cheeks ablaze. Yukio smiled at her endearingly.

"Thank you Shiemi." Was all he said before she nodded, fiddling with her uniform's bow tie and darting out of the room.

Then it was just the two of them left.

Rin smiled at Shiemi's retreating from and looked to his brother.

"I bet that made your day huh?" He smiled mischievously. The other looked at him blankly.

"Not necessarily. Why do you say that?"

The older smiled knowingly.

"It's okay Yukio. You can drop the act. I thought we were going to be honest with each other now."

The other's face was still blank yet he caught on to what his twin was implying.

"I know how you feel about her alright?" the older wrapped an arm around his brother. "I think you should just tell her."

"Niisan-"

"I've seen the way others look at her. You better stop being a stick in the mud and tell her soon."

"Niisan, I don't think you understand-"

"Of course I understand! You're too shy to say anything. You're having trouble, well I say just go for-"

"She's not the person I'm interested in."

His voice was firm and rang hollowly throughout the empty room.

"Oh." The shorter seemed to understand that he was serious. His grip on him relaxed a bit.

Rin brightened again.

"So there is someone though?"

Yukio just stared at his brother thoughtfully for a long while, his brows furrowed slightly. He pushed up his glasses with a finger even though they weren't currently sliding down.

"Yes." He said as he stared into his twin's eyes deeply and nodded, hoping by some small chance, the other might receive his message.

"Oh? Then who?"

His expression held a hint of anger at his brother's denseness. It's not like he ever really planned on revealing this dirty situation even with Ms. Yuushi's prodding that he should, he couldn't believe how oblivious his brother was. She told him that he would most likely be understanding of the situation and not hold any malice towards him but he couldn't shake the fear that his brother may hate him for having such unethical feelings. It was a dangerous move to make after they had finally become a bit closer.

"I don't want to talk about it." The tension in him deflated. He began to walk out of the classroom.

"You sure? You can tell me anything!" The other shouted as he ran after his brother.

No. I can't.

….

It's so warm in here... Why is it so hot? Yukio rubbed his sweating forehead again as he sat at his desk. He had suddenly began to feel a dead heat overcome him and an unbearable nausea set in. He hadn't felt sick at all earlier?

He rubbed his eyes under his glasses. Finally he turned away from his work once the words on his paper began to blur. It felt as if there was liquid in his head that was coming to a boil. It felt simular to how he felt in Ms. yuushi's office when he went aflame for the first time. It was actually a bit painful but not as intense as it was at this moment. He squinted his eyes in pain.

Now that he thought about it there were no new developments since that first time it happened and after that when he shouted at Rin. He concluded that it was all triggered by your emotional state from observing his brother and the recent events happening to himself. When in moments of rage or intense fear the, all control of the power went away, his head throbbed with all the stress that would definitly come with all of this. When would the issue of sealing his flames come about? It's definitely not safe for him to be walking around without any seal of any sort.

He was an emotional ticking time bomb. What if the emotion of intense anger arose once more? Would they all be doomed?

At that moment Rin went upstairs to tell Yukio that dinner was ready only to find his brother in his desk chair rubbing his forehead in pain. His brows furrowed in concern.

"You alright?" He swatted the younger's hands away and pressed a hand to his forehead.

"Geez you are really warm."

He repeated his brother's name but was met with silence. Rin noted the pained expression on his brother's face and the way he was breathing so heavily.

This was so sudden. They had walked home together making small talk, they went upstairs to do homework (or at least Rin tried), and then the older had went downstairs to make them dinner. He remembered Yukio was just fine about two hours ago.

He called his name again but was met with no response yet again. He was getting really worried. The older decided the best thing to do would be to give him a fever reducer and have him go to bed early. He was no doctor but he was sure that was the right thing to do. He sat at Yukio's bedside patting his back as he lay on his side.

This was always a good method to get him to sleep even if he hadn't done it in quite some time.

Yukio's eyes were blinking slowly as he felt the patting on his back and his brother's soft murmurs of reassurance. He took another breath and everything went dark.
