Betty Ross was combing her hair while staring into the mirror in her bedroom. Her makeup was done and she had sprayed herself with the perfume that he liked. She opened up her jewelry box, that she kept next to her mirror and saw the picture of her and Bruce. She sighed looking at it, "He's gone" she said to herself closing the box and standing up. Glenn should be picking her up at any time now, almost on cue her doorbell rang. She headed down her stairs and found her boyfriend, Glenn Talbot waiting with a bouquet of flowers.

"For the most beautiful women in the state of New York", he said prompting a smile from Betty who took the flowers and invited Glenn in so she could get the flowers in some water. Talbot was a Major in the Army, who had been stationed in New York at one of the bases in the city. He was a taller man with well-groomed brown hair and a clean shaven look. He was wearing a suit and was quite taken with Betty's outfit. They had been dating for a few months now.

Betty came back and smiled as Talbot opened the door for her and the two of them headed out for dinner. Talbot drove a nice car, his position in the military allowed him to live quite well not to mention his family did quite well for itself. They arrived at the high price Italian restaurant and Talbot opened the door for Betty and the two went in and got a table quickly since Talbot had made a reservation. "So how is work going?" asked Talbot as they were waiting for their entrées.

Betty looked up and started giving long explanation about her work with medicinal work with radiation treatments. She had left the Super Soldier program immediately after Bruce changed and her father vowed to bring him back. She didn't believe him, she had seen that look on his face before, he was going to bring Bruce back to the government. She had stopped taking his calls or seeing him, he stopped trying after a while so Betty figured he had gotten the message. With her credentials getting a position at a research facility was easy and it kept her engaged instead of thinking about what had happened.

She met Glenn during a presentation to the military about various medical breakthroughs that the facility had come up with. He had an awful mustache when he introduced himself, a look that he quickly dumped when it became clear that she didn't like it. He always took good care of her and listened to her, which is the trait she liked about him the most. He genuinely felt for her, which is why she hated the fact that she was struggling to do the same for him. She liked him plenty but Bruce just wouldn't leave her alone, she dreamed about him day and night, she just couldn't move on. She figured that Glenn couldn't tell but if he did he never showed it to her which she appreciated his patience.

Their dinner arrived and the two began to eat but that was interrupted by a commotion outside the restaurant as Humvees pulled up outside. A figure got out of one of them and entered the restaurant and Betty's heart dropped. Her father scanned the restaurant stopping his gaze on her, Betty stood and stomped her way towards him.

Ross looked at Betty who stood directly in front of him defiantly, it had been too long since he last saw her. "How are you?" he asked getting nothing but a scowl in response. He shook his head and then walked past her "Major Talbot", he said causing Talbot to stand quickly.

"Sir!" he said saluting.

"You have access to something I need at your base and I'm sorry to interrupt your little date here but I need it now."

Talbot nodded, "Of course sir we can go to the base right now." Talbot put some money on the table and followed as Ross began to leave stopping to give Betty a kiss goodnight. "I'll call you tomorrow" he said before leaving behind Ross.

Clint and Natasha watched from a car behind the small convoy that Ross was using to get around "Ross doesn't understand subtlety does he?" he said looking over at Natasha who was watching intently through some binoculars.

"Apparently not" she said as the Glenn got in one of the Humvees with Ross.

"So what do you think? Should I redo the dining room or the porch first?" asked Clint pulling out so they could follow them. Natasha shook her head not really wanting to talk about Clint's house projects.

Talbot noticed pretty quickly that whatever Ross was doing was serious and if Ross pulling him out of dinner wasn't enough to tell him that the mean looking soldier sitting in the Humvee with them certainly did. Whatever was going on was big and if it was big than it was an opportunity that Talbot could not let slip away "So what do you need access to sir?"

Ross looked Talbot over and then peeked at Blonsky who was intently reading Banner's file, Masterson and Tibbits had managed to convince their superiors to let them stay on but they were simply support now. Blonsky was going to be the hammer that Ross used to bring Banner to his knees. "I just need to get into the cryo-tank and get something."

Talbot nodded as they quickly approached the base and got out. Ross pointed his men to the barracks and followed Talbot to the cryo-tank where they kept mostly old experiments and other things that the military would rather forget about. Talbot entered the code opening the door for Ross who entered the large freezer and quickly found what he was looking for. He pulled out a set of vials and as quickly as he entered, he left moving towards the elevator. Talbot followed him into the elevator slipping in just before the doors closed.

"Sir, if that is what I think it is than I would like to offer my services to your task force" said Talbot looking at Ross closely.

Ross considered the offer, if Banner came back to town, he might try and contact Betty and she wasn't going to talk to him anytime soon but maybe she would mention something to her boyfriend if Bruce came around, "Fine, we are tracking a fugitive named Bruce Banner." The two of them walked out of the elevator where they spotted Blonsky waiting for them. "Banner is dangerous and has a connection to my daughter, if he comes around her or contacts her I need you to let me know. Is that an arrangement you can live with?"

Talbot smiled and saluted Ross, "Yes sir, it is." Ross saluted back and Talbot left him with Blonsky.

Blonsky looked at what Ross was holding "Is that it?" he asked.

Ross smiled, "Yes it is. Ready to make history?"
