30 Minutes Earlier

Getting Sterns out of the base was pretty simple, everyone knew that Blonsky was getting special orders and the idea that Ross would want him to take Sterns back to his lab for data made sense. Sterns was nervous, Blonsky could smell the sweat dripping off of him but that was secondary to Blonsky getting his hands on the power of the Hulk. As they approached Sterns home Blonsky noticed the car that had followed them expertly since they left the base but they, like Sterns, were unimportant, he ignored them and started ascending the stairs to the lab.

Natasha and Clint pulled up as Blonsky and Sterns entered the building, the duo pulled out their comm links and linked up with Coulson. "Okay, we are using codenames from this point forward" said Coulson as he was sitting and watching the base.

"Okay then, Hawkeye and Black Widow reporting in" said Clint checking his arrow quiver in case things got physical.

"This is just an observation operation but Fury has instructed me that if it appears that Blonsky and Sterns are up to something deemed dangerous we have permission to intervene and take Sterns into custody and in extreme cases take Blonsky out" explained Coulson.

"Understood" said Widow and Hawkeye in unison as they exited the vehicle and entered a building across the street to keep an eye on the situation.

A guard was at the door of Sterns lab was kind of shocked by the sight of Blonsky who was sweating heavily and seemed awfully sickly. "Sorry sir, but this area has been restricted by the General. Nobody in or out without his direct order."

Blonsky didn't even bother talking to the young man quickly disarming and snapping the neck of the guard. Sterns started to scream and Blonsky quickly pushed him up against the hallway wall "Stop it" he said prompting Sterns to quiet down very quickly.

"You seem to be highly unstable at this time, maybe we should wait until you can get a proper medical examination" said Sterns starting to think that Blonsky's condition could have an effect on how the serum would work.

"I didn't ask you for your opinion so don't give it" Blonsky said as he pulled Sterns into the lab "Now get to work and get me what I want." Sterns nodded and started mixing things together and getting it ready.

Widow was watching the doctor work as Blonsky looked around like an animal looking for prey from behind her sniper rifle scope "Things are looking mighty tense in there" she said as Hawkeye prepared to take a shot with his bow in case Blonsky didn't go down with just the rifle.

"Now we wait and see what happens" said Hawkeye hoping that they could prevent this whole situation from getting worse.

Sterns worked quickly managing to turn what blood he had left into two doses of the serum, one for Blonsky and one for his continued research. He spun in his chair towards Blonsky who had been watching him like a hawk. "Okay, here is the dose" he said loading it into an injector so Blonsky could inject himself and Sterns could see if it worked like he thought it could.

Blonsky took the injector and stared at it and his mind began to dream of all the power he would have, all the things he could do but then his soldier mind took over. "What if Sterns was trying to trick him, kill him and save himself" Blonsky turned his gaze to Sterns, he saw the other batch of serum that Sterns had meaning that Blonsky could afford a test run with someone else to make sure it works correctly. He grabbed Sterns quickly and pushed the injector into his arm.

"No, no don't do that please" said Sterns as his life began to flash before his eyes.

"I need to make sure you're serum isn't going to kill me and besides I never intended to let you live in the first place" said Blonsky as he hit the trigger and Sterns began to convulse.

The pain was unbearable as the serum mixed with his blood and a stinging pain began in his skull. His head began to throb, he fell to the ground and became more aware of everything that was happening around him, his senses sharpened, he could feel the energy of the world around him, and his understanding of the universe exploded.

Blonsky watched as Sterns began to change, his skin changing to an off green color and his head morphed to some off shape, but Sterns was alive which was more than enough for Blonsky to take it himself. He grabbed the second dose off of Sterns desk and injected himself with it. He felt it, the power forcing itself through his body, his bones cracked, his muscles burned, he felt his hair fall from his head and his limbs began to grow. His skin morphed not into the green that Hulk and Sterns had gotten, instead his morphed into a deformed skin tone and then felt pressure on his joints and his spine as the bones poked through giving him bone spikes at his joints and his spine to stick out of his back. He roared and felt all the power that he wanted flowing through him.

Hawkeye and Widow were in shock watching Blonsky transform into whatever he was now, Widow didn't wait to see what was going to happen sending several shots into Blonsky's chest, which Blonsky shrugged off without a thought. Hawkeye let an arrow fly sticking Blonsky in the shoulder and Blonsky simply stared straight forward.

Blonsky relished this feeling, invincibility was so wonderful he could barely contain himself. Now that he had this power he needed to test it out on something and know that he could see those two people from before across the street from him.

"We need to move" said Widow noticing how Blonsky was smiling at the duo. She dropped her rifle and jumped onto Hawkeye getting them just out of harm's way as Blonsky had leapt out of Sterns building and landed in the building across the street. She helped Hawkeye to his feet and the two of them began to run and Blonsky turned to follow him, ripping the ceiling down as they moved through the building.

Hawkeye prepared a rope arrow as Widow grabbed onto him, he dove through a window and fired the arrow catching the side of the building while hanging onto the rope allowing the duo to get to the ground as Blonsky stopped just past the window they dove out of.

"So have any ideas?" asked Hawkeye as Blonsky crashed through the building and landed behind the two Shield agents and turned to face them and laughed.
