This one is super short and maybe not that great, but there is a reason. In light of that, I have put an extremely important A/N at the end of this chapter that must be read when you get there. Thank you kindly :)

Disclaimer: I do not own the Divergent books, movies, or anything that is canon.

The next morning, Tris and I are called to Max's office before our job selection ceremony. When we get there, Eric, and the rest of the leaders are there as well. I wonder what this is about.

"I called you both here this morning because we would like to offer you leadership positions." Tris and I share a confused look. The both of us? Max notices our confusion and continues.

"We would normally only offer the position to the first ranked, but we have found you both to be equally qualified. We would like to know what your career aspirations are." Now it makes sense, why he asked my opinion about Matt's punishment. He was testing me for leadership, a test that I obviously passed. To be honest, I haven't given leadership a thought. I was really thinking about training initiates, but a leadership position is such a great opportunity. Now I just don't know. I am prepared to voice this to Max, but Tris speaks up first.

"I'm going to have to decline. I would much rather do tattoos and train the initiates." If Max is trying to hide his disappointment at her answer, he isn't doing a very good job at it. None of them are, well, all of them except Eric. Max regains his composure very quickly.

"Well, if you're sure, that's what you can do."

"I'm sure."

"Monica, what about you?" He looks at me hopefully, as if the future of Dauntless leadership depends all on me. I think carefully for a moment before responding.

"Would it be possible for me to do leadership, as well as train the initiates?" All of their faces light up at my answer, especially Eric. I try to suppress my blush, but I don't think I did a very good job of it due to him winking at me. It only makes me blush a little bit more.

"Of course."

With that, our meeting ends and my future at Dauntless is clear. I have great new job prospects, a hopefully great new relationship with my Dad, and a great new boyfriend. Life probably can't get any better than this.

The End?

IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S ANNOUNCEMENT, PLEASE READ!

My instincts tell me to tell you all that this is the end of Eric and Monica's story, but that is not exactly true. I have planned two sequels for this story. The first will be a one-shot that will pretty much be just an Eric/Monica fluff piece (I know, you're welcome!). The second will be a full-length sequel and will take place around twenty-ish years after this first story. Since the one-shot will take place during the year or two after this, I will get to writing that as soon as I can. However, I'm not sure when the other sequel will happen. I'm still debating whether or not I want that to be my next project after the one-shot, or if I want to do one of my other Divergent ideas, or take a break from Divergent all together and do something for a different fandom. At the moment, I'm leaning towards doing both sequels, but I'm not completely sure yet. All I can promise you for now is the one-shot, although I don't know when exactly that will be up. I will post an A/N update on this story for when each sequel gets posted. Thank you all for your continued support and I hopefully will be hearing from you all again in the near future! :)
