Knock Knock
Steve looked up from his desk, "hey Danny."
"Hey, just letting you know I'm off to get my brothers from the airport. I'm going to drop them off over at my place and then I'll be back."
"Okay, no problem."
Steve's cell phone rang. Danny waved goodbye with a smile.
"Steve McGarret speaking."
After he listened to what the case was Steve hung up and called down his son.
"Jago, get down here, quickly, front and center."
Within seconds Jago was downstairs and standing in front of his father.
"A case just opened up I need to go. I'll be back after though so I do NOT want you leaving this house for anything. Am I understood?"
"Yes but dad.."
"You keep your sister as comfortable as she needs and you help her however she needs it."
"Okay dad…
MEETING MORE FAMILY
**(INFO: I'm adding in a couple of law and order characters: Brian Cassidy and Nate Kendall. For this story, I'm twisting it and making them brothers with Danny. Also, soon this story Small World will be intertwined with my other story, New York Life.)**
"Oh no, you dropped the kids off at my house or your house?" Danny asked as they drove back to headquarters.
"Yours you know since they also live there majority of the time."
"You didn't by chance see my brothers there did you?"
"No, I'm pretty sure the house was empty when we got there."
"Damn, that means they did go out for a bite to eat. I gave them my house key. Neither they or the kids have met."
"Oooo that could be a problem," said Steve as he tried to call Ainsley since he took the phone away from Jago, "she isn't answering, she must still be in the hot tub."
"I'll call my brother."
Ring ring, "this is Nate."
"Nate, hey, I got a little side tracked. Two of the kids are home early so you may want to just knock first."
"Mmm yes, that information would have been helpful about ten minutes ago."
Danny sighed, "What happened?"
"Let's just say Jago has quite the right hook and is very protective of his sister."
"Shit, did he clock you?"
"Pffftt no, I'm too fast. He got Brian, you know not surprising since he's so old," Nate smirked.
"Ha ha," scoffed Brian, "he snuck up on me. You are horrible backup."
Danny rolled his eyes, "oh great, just one more person in the wedding party with a black eye. Mandy is going to be furious."
"Oh here, Jago wants to talk to you," Nate said and handed the phone over.
"Danny, I'm so sorry, really, really sorry. I was napping and just heard him messing around in the kitchen. I totally forgot your brothers were coming. I'm soooooo sorry," said Jago nervously.
"Okay, okay, hey bud, it's okay. You're not in further trouble; well, not by me anyway. You were only protecting yourself and your sister."
"You're not mad?"
"No bud, I'm not mad."
"Will you talk to mom for me?"
"Yeah, I'll talk to her; but no promises."
Jago sighed, "I know, but thanks ahead of time for trying."

Amanda walked in an hour later along with her parents who were also visiting for the wedding. They walked in with multiple shopping bags and five large pizzas'. Amanda cooed over her daughter first then Jago.
"You and I are going to have a conversation before dinner. Go up to your room and wait for me."
"But moooommm, didn't you talk with Danny?"
"I did, yes. I explained to him how dangerous it was what you did and I got him to see my side."
"Oh come on, I'm going to get in trouble for protecting my sister?" He whined.
Amanda quirked her eyebrow just as Danny walked in.
"But, it was unnecessary bud," said Danny, "Ainsley was outside. You could have snuck out the back and go to a neighbors house with her. Your mother reminded me that she taught that to each of you since you were four."
"Now GO to your room and wait for me," Amanda repeated.
"But I'm huuunnnggrry."
"Don't whine at me. If you don't behave I'll just spank you down here in front of everyone," said Amanda sternly, "I'll be up shortly."
Jago went up to his room with tears already starting to form. Kash walked in from the game room.
"Oooo pizza, hey mom, hey Danny."
Amanda hugged her other son, "baby, please do me a favor and stay away from any fighting. It would be nice to have at least one of my children without a black eye for the wedding."
"I'll do my very best, promise."
"That's all I ask," she smiled as she hugged him one more time. "Gather paper plates and drinks for everyone. You can all start eating. Jago and I will be down shortly."
"Are you sure?" Danny asked.
"Yes, I'm sure," she answered with a smile to her fiancé and turning on the music as she walked upstairs.

Steve and his girlfriend, Catherine showed up for dinner. Danny wanted him and his brothers to get to know each other better since it was Ainsley who would be staying with them in New York for two weeks.
"Where is Ja…oh I'm guessing upstairs with his mother?" Steve asked as he and Catherine sat down.
"Yeah, he won't be sitting very well at school for tomorrow and Friday," Ainsley stated.
"How are you feeling baby girl? How is your eye, still sting a lot?"
"Actually daddy, it's a lot better since Nate put this special ointment on it."
Steve looked over at Nate with a questionable look.
"Oh, yeah, it's just something I put together. When you have been in as many fights as I have you tend to seek out the quickest way to heal."
"You fight a lot?" Steve asked as any concerned father would.
"Ohhhh I meant to imply used to. You know when I was a lot younger."
Brian and Danny simply made a scoffing noise. Danny then noticed the look of further concern on Steve's face.
"Trust me Steve; you get in a lot more fights and in questionable situations much more than my baby brother. You have nothing to worry about. I promise you my brothers may only have met their new niece, but I guarantee they will keep her safe with their own lives."
"I certainly hope so," said Amanda as she walked down with a more than humbled teenage boy.
She had Jago sit down between Kash and Ainsley as it was the chair with a soft pillow. She hugged him from behind, kissed his cheek.
"I love you baby."
"Love you too mama."
Amanda sat down next to Danny. There was an awkward silence for a couple of minutes. Catherine spoke up.
"Oh, so I brought dessert if anyone is interested."
"What did you bring?" Kash asked.
"I heard lemon meringue was a favorite around here so I brought that."
"It is," Ainsley smiled, "in fact it's Jago's total favorite."
"Ohhh really, I didn't know that," Catherine smiled then winked at Jago.

Amanda and her parents along with Danny and Catherine had remained in the dining room to chat after dessert. Steve, Nate, Brian and the kids went into the game room.
"Ooo it's nine thirty, time for the kids to start getting ready for bed."
She walked into the game room and found Kash happily playing a video game with his new soon-to-be uncles while Steve slept on the couch with Jago and Ainsley in his arms. She took a photo with her cell phone. It was certainly a couple of memories she would never want to forget.
