Amanda and her parents along with Danny and Catherine had remained in the dining room to chat after dessert. Steve, Nate, Brian and the kids went into the game room.

"Ooo it's nine thirty, time for the kids to start getting ready for bed."

She walked into the game room and found Kash happily playing a video game with his new soon-to-be uncles while Steve slept on the couch with Jago and Ainsley in his arms. She took a photo with her cell phone. It was certainly a couple of memories she would never want to forget.

THE WEDDING

"You're late for wedding rehearsal Steve." Danny stated once he saw Steve walk in.

Steve looked perplexed, lost, almost scared.

"I need to see my kids. Where are they?"

"In the other room," Danny answered, "Steve, what's going on? What's wrong?"

Steve didn't say another word. He left abruptly to find his children. He hit the corner and found the three of them together. Each appeared to be a little bored but none of it mattered. Still dressed in uniform, bullet-proof vest and all, Steve hugged Kash first as he was closest and then gestured the other two over. Steve hugged each of his children.

"I love each of you so very much."

"We love you too." Each responded.

Amanda walked over. "Steve, what's going on? Is everything okay?" She asked worriedly.

"Yes, everything is okay….now."

(mid interrupt a/n that little scene above was based off the episode on 3/13/15 called Kahania. The morning Steve went to the barber shop and by the end of the day discovered he had helped a serial child killer but killed him after all. It worked perfectly for my story as Danny wasn't in that episode…we can pretend he was getting ready for his wedding..hee hee.)

5-0

Amanda practically leaped out of bed. It was her wedding day. It had finally arrived. She floated down to the kitchen and turned the coffee on for herself and her house guests. She turned and found a bright smiling face.

"Good morning mom." Amanda said almost in a musical note.

"Good morning dear, you look very refreshed, I assume you actually slept well?"

"Yes, the hot bath with Epson salt and a tall glass of red wine were indeed the perfect prescription. Thank you for the suggestion."

"You are most welcome. I know the night before I married your father I wasn't able to sleep at all. I was too worried about all of the details and wanting everything perfect. By time the day was over and your father and I checked into the hotel I was exhausted. He went to find a wine opener and by time he came back I was fast asleep. Needless to say, he wasn't too thrilled."

"That's okay," said a man's voice from the other room and then making his appearance, "your mother more than made up for it all these years." He said with a warm smile and a wiggle to his eyebrows as he kissed his wife.

"Ohh daddy, seriously, you really could have left that part out." Amanda said as she playfully rolled her eyes. Before you give me anymore unsolicited stories I'm going to wake the kids."

5-O

Amanda looked at her daughter and was happy to see her black eye was much fainter. With a bit of cover-up, it would sure to go almost unnoticed by any of the guests or the photos.

"Ainsley, sweetheart, wake up."

She simply mumbled something incoherent and turned over.

"Come on, you need to get up and get ready. You, grandma and I need to get to the salon for hair and makeup. You can sleep in the chair while you are getting your hair and makeup done."

"Promise?" The teen mumbled.

"I promise."

"K okay, I'll be down soon."

"Please be downstairs within twenty minutes."

Amanda heard more mumbling but took it as an agreement. She smiled happily and went to wake her two boys who were even more of a challenge to get out of bed.

The wedding went over perfectly. Everyone was now enjoying the reception. Steve walked over to his daughter who had her nose buried deep in her cell phone.

"Lee Lee?"

Ainsley looked up with a big smile. "Hey daddy." She said before she went back to her email.

"Hello sweetheart, you know today is your mothers wedding day. Do you think you could put your phone away?"

Ainsley looked up and was about to reply with a no but that word suddenly froze within. She saw the look on her father's face. He asked it as a question but clearly it was an order. She gave him a big but nervous smile then put her phone away. He smiled back with appreciation and kissed the top of her head.

"Now that I have your undivided attention, care to dance?" Steve asked as he held out his hand.

Steve danced with his beautiful daughter dressed in blue as one of his son's was causing mischief.

"Jago, are you attempting to never sit right again?" Kash exclaimed.

"It's just some rum. It makes everything so much more fun. Don't be such a downer bra." Jago said adamantly.

"I don't care Jag, its mom's day. Don't be a jerk. Put it away and then we're walking away from it."

"No way, I had to give some dude an extra twenty for this."

"Fine, let's see what dad thinks about it." Said Kash with a small shrug of his shoulders.

"Are you serious? I'm your brother and you're going to do me dirty like that?"

Kash looked at him and thought over his brother's words.

"Fine, I won't say anything but ONLY if you stash it away. You can't get drunk on mom's day. That's just really un-cool."

"Okay, okay, deal." Jago agreed as he was satisfied with the idea he could drink later. He hid it behind a bush with plans to fetch it once he would be leaving.

An Hour Later…

Everyone was having fun dancing and socializing. It was time to cut the cake.

"Oh Gracie has been bugging me and bugging me about the cake," Ainsley stated to her father as she looked around for the twelve year old, "Where is she?"

Steve looked around as well and noticed she wasn't anywhere near.

"Maybe the bathroom?"

"Alright, I'll check because trust me, if she misses this then her entire life will never be the same."

Steve looked at her with a quirk in his eyebrow indicating confusion.

"Her words daddy, not mine."

Steve chuckled, "Ahh okay."

Ainsley smiled back before she headed into the bathroom to see if her new step-sister was in there. She went inside and called out her name. There was no response. The bathroom was pretty big. Ainsley walked around to the other side and saw part of a dress hanging out from the back of a couch. It looked similar to what Grace was wearing. She walked faster and called out her name again. There was no answer. Suddenly she found her. Grace was passed out drunk with a bottle of rum on one side of her and a pile of puke on the other.

"Holy shit!" Ainsley called out as she tried to revive her.

Several moments passed and Grace wasn't responding. Ainsley ran out and found her father right away.

"Daddy, come quick, its Gracey, I think she's passed out drunk."

Within fifteen minutes an ambulance arrived and shortly after that, Grace, along with Danny and Amanda were inside the back and heading to the hospital. Steve stayed behind with the kids. He stayed behind to see the guests off and to find out more as to how Grace even got a hold of the bottle of rum. He turned to his boys.

"Did either of you see maybe one of the wait staff carrying around extra bottles or anything out of place?"

Jago wanted to lie as he knew he would be in huge trouble; but, seeing his very petite step-sister like he did. His guilt was overwhelming.

"It's my fault dad! The bottle was mine! I hid it in the bushes." He cried openly. "I'm sorry dad. I'm so sorry. I don't want her to die."

Steve pulled Jago close to him and held him close. "Shh shhh shhhhh right now we just have to stay positive and hope for the best."

Later that night…

The doctor walked in, "Mr and Mrs Williams?"
