Chapter 1. - The Rabbits are Here
Ruby slowly opened her eyes, her vision clouded by darkness. She turned her head, looking around the dark interior of wherever she was. She slowly stood, her legs slightly shaking as she looked around the room. A shelf sat against the far wall, boxes and old books lying on the shelf. An old couch sat in the middle of the room, the cushions mouldy and covered in dust. Ruby spotted a light switch on the wall to the right of her, and headed over to it. She flicked the switch, but the light didn't turn on, which Ruby grumbled at.
She walked forward, the house creaking slightly as she explored the house, finding that some of the door handles had fallen off, revealing small rooms that held some interesting looking items, but Ruby didn't have any idea where she was, so she stayed away from them. She eventually found a door that looked like it led outside, so she went to it and turned the knob, but it was locked. She turned and looked around the front area of the house, searching for the key. Her eyes landed on it a few seconds after looking, but Ruby did not like the place it was in.
Laying in an old rocking chair sat the skeletal remains of a human, and in its hands lay the key. Ruby gulped, and began slowly walking over to the skeleton, as if she would wake it by making a loud noise. She slowly pulled the keys out of the skeleton's hand, before she quickly made it to the door and jammed the key into the lock. She turned the key, a click ringing out as she turned the knob and walked out the front door.
She was blinded by the light, squinting them as her eyes adjusted to the light, and she was amazed by what she saw. There were all kinds of vibrant colors dotting the landscape, making the land look like someone had painted it. Ruby heard something let out a small grunt, and she turned her head, and what she saw almost had her eyes pop out of her head. standing some distance away from the house was a group of 5 deer, their fur pure white, while pink antlers grew from their skull.
Ruby was amazed by the sight of them, she had only ever seen a deer once in her life, so this brought back that joyous memory. She slowly walked off the porch, careful not to startle them, but the second her feet touched the ground, a loud *Crunch* was heard, and the deer ran off. Ruby looked down, realizing she had stepped on an old soda can, which caused Ruby to mumble under her breath something about stupid cans.
Ruby began walking forward, but stopped a few feet from the house, her eyes wide. She had just realized, she had no idea where she was. And she never found her teammates in the house with her, so now the question was, where are here friends?
