Akushi
Prologue
It was like Deja vu seeing her like this. I swear I've seen her like this; standing before me with a serious expression. She explained to me how worthwhile it would be, just like before. That it would save everyone; that it would save me.
But what she was wanting to do, I did not know. I just didn't know. What was her plan exactly? What did she want? What did she want to do? What did she want me to do? Did she just want me to listen and step down?
Like last time, she was very serious. But like last time, was she a threat? I don't know, I don't think so. But anything can happen. I wanted to give her a hug before it was too late. I wanted to stop her before she did anything rash. However, before I could make just one step, my friend took a step back, and forced a smile.
The summer breeze was warm, and I could feel the wind brush against my cheeks, and blow her short red hair back and forth. Her sad blue eyes did not show anger like the last time I remembered, but they did show fear. Just what exactly was she going to do? I could hear the sound of the crickets chirping, but it wasn't the sound I wanted. Say something!
The moon was so bright I could see the drop of sweat on her forehead, and the morning dew forming in the grass, for it was before dawn, right before the sun was about to set. I took another step forward. "Rena?" I said softly in a way that sounded pitiful. I could tell that struck her, because her smile vanished when she heard the saddened tone in my voice.
"It's because I love you, Keiichi-Kun."
