At the mall we see Brittany and Dave sitting at a table enjoying their Alvin free day and talking up a storm.
"So I know you're getting older Brittany and there are certain uhh certain umm certain urges as they say to start dating boys" Dave said as Brittany choked on her Coke looking at Dave.
"All right so you caught me but what I say during this lunch stay's between us comprende?" Brittany asked as Dave nodded and Brittany sighed not knowing how to tell Dave she was in love with Alvin.
"Well lately I've been having dreams about Alvin and I know I shouldn't be in love with him because he's like my brother but for some reason I can't help it".
"I thought it was him because you and him have been getting into it a lot lately. From what I'm told if you fight with a boy you love them".
"I know I've been told this by Jeanette about a thousand times but I never listened because if Jeanette finds out that I really love Alvin then Eleanor will find out and the both of us know how bad she is with secrets".
"Well maybe you should try to I don't know hang with Alvin alone for a while? I mean it could help you get your true feelings in perspective and then you wouldn't have to worry about Eleanor telling him" Dave said as Brittany thought about this and sighed again.
"Well I could do that but what am I going to tell the boys that he never leaves home without? I mean Simon and Theodore are basically attached to Alvin's cute, little, tail. Ohh man forget I just said that even if it is cute ugh forget I said that too" Brittany said smiling nervously.
"It's forgotten and if you want this conversation to stay between us I can make sure that happens also. As for Simon and Theodore let me deal with them because I know two other girls who may think their pretty cool in a way".
Brittany giggled as Dave laughed with her and she was happy to see this side of Dave and not the vein popping out of his neck like it usually did when Alvin was around.
"I think that's an understatement Dave because I know two other girls who are head over heels in love with Simon and Theodore. I mean at least that's what Eleanor and Jeanette's diaries said".
"You read Jeanette and Eleanor's diaries? Because if you did I've got to say that is an invas-"Dave began but Brittany stopped him.
"We call it Secret Fridays Dave. See we have to make our own fun because there's nobody else our size to hang with so Secret Fridays which is the first Friday of every month we read each other's diaries" Brittany said glad there was nothing about Alvin in her diary.
"So if they read your diary then wouldn't there be anything about how much you love Alvin in yours? I mean girl's still do write about who they love or think is cute in their diaries right?"
"Eleanor and Jeanette do but I don't because as I said I can't risk me loving Alvin getting in Eleanor's field of vision".
"What are you going to do if you tell Alvin you love him and the girl's find out you told him without telling them you loved him?"
"I guess I can tell the girls I mean after all we're sisters and we share a bond that can't be broken. I just have to make sure Eleanor knows that this is a top secret thing or better yet maybe she can help me get Alvin alone".
"I think she would like that because she's always looking to be more involved in your plans for yourself and so is Jeanette".
Brittany saw the girl's coming out of a store with mini chipmunk sized clothes giggling with each other and Dave's eyes bore into Brittany's telling her to tell Eleanor and Jeanette how she really feels about Alvin.
"Hey girl's so who's up for some grub because I'm starving and it looks like you two found some cute outfits" Brittany said as the girl's scurried to two other chairs and sat down both of them looking at Brittany.
"All right before I say one more word I want the both of you to know that this is top secret meaning it wasn't in my diary because I didn't know how to deal with it".
"That's fine if you didn't want to put it in your diary Brit. I enjoyed the picture you drew of Jeanette and me last Secret Friday" Eleanor said as Brittany beamed and suddenly found her courage.
"The truth is that I love Alvin and I'm not sure how to tell him without looking like a stupid girl stuttering in front of him and all the other stuff girl's do when they're in love".
"Of course you're in love with Alvin Brit Eleanor and I knew that because of your dreams. I mean look at the positives he's your size, your species, and sooner or later hopefully sooner he's going to see that he loves you back" Jeanette said giggling at Brittany as Eleanor did the same.
"Yea I mean you pretend you hate him even in your dreams but there were times when you were smiling during those dreams and Jeanette said it's impossible for you to hate him and smile at the same time" Eleanor said sipping a Coke and pawing at a sandwich.
Dave looked at his watch and saw it was almost time to get the boys and Brittany had a good plan formulating and she was going to need all of Jeanette, Eleanor, and Dave's help to set it in motion.
When Dave got to the school he found the three boys arguing with each other and Brittany moved in the back giving Alvin the front seat.
"I'm telling the both of you that we're going to the movies tonight to see the Nightmare On Elm Street marathon no matter how scared Theo is of the movies".
"And how do you plan on convincing Dave to let us go see a gory, bloody, slash em up, slice and dice movie genius? Because I'm a genius and I've got to say it's a one thousand to one chance that he'll let us go" Simon said sliding next to Jeanette who swooned when his eyes met hers.
"Hey S-S-S-S-S-S-Simon I mean Simon hey I mean hey Smion I mean hey Simon" Jeanette said as Simon smiled throwing his backpack next to him.
"I knew what you meant Jean as Brittany likes to call you and the stuttering is certainly cute in a lovestruck sort of way of course".
"Hey Dave so remember this morning when you said you wanted the boys and I to find something to do tonight? Well I found a marathon of movies playing tonight and I was wondering if maybe we could go at 12:00 and come back later tomorrow afternoon?" Alvin asked as Theodore gulped.
"Theo what's wrong don't you want to hang with Alvin and Simon tonight? I mean it seems like Alvin has a fun night planned" Dave said as Theodore shook his head and stared longingly at Eleanor who stared back smiling at him.
"No because Alvin wants to go see a gory, bloody, slash em up, slice and dice movie and I'm still really scared of the man in those movies" Theodore said as Alvin and Simon moaned knowing that Theodore was tattling without looking like it.
"Alvin what have I told you about bloody movies young man and Simon you know better than to try to trick Theodore into going to a scary movie" Dave said staring hard at Alvin and Simon.
"So why don't we leave Theodore with the women and Simon and I can go to the A Nightmare On Elm Street marathon?" Alvin asked as Simon nodded hopeful that Dave would say yes.
"Well why don't you boys just rent the movies and spend a nice, peaceful, night at home with each other? That way if Theo does get scared there'll be tents in the front yard with his name on one of them?" Eleanor said forgetting to mention that hers was the one she wished Theodore would visit.
"Noble idea Eleanor and I've got to say I never expected a good idea coming from you. So here's the deal you rent all the movies and I'll pay for everything you need tonight including the rentals" Dave said as Alvin grumbled thanks Theo under his breath and Eleanor snuggled closer to Theodore.
"You know girl's the tents and Smores are nice but I was thinking we haven't really had much Chipmunk to Chipette bonding these days so let's combine our events and have a camp out/ movie marathon for the ages" Britney said as everyone including Alvin shouted for joy as they pulled into the driveway.
"All right Chipmunks and Chipettes I want those rooms spotless before you even think of throwing a party because they look as if a hurricane hit them".
"All right Dave I'm going to clean my room now so I have more time to go food shopping for tonight. Alvin do you mind giving me a hand?" Brittany asked as Alvin shrugged walking off for Brittany, Eleanor, and Jeanette's room.
"So Alvin are you seeing anyone in particular? I mean I don't care one or the other but if not why don't we talk a little more?" Dream Brittany said as reality Brittany just pointed to a pink section of the room and Alvin headed that way.
"Brit do you mind not just standing there and giving me oh I don't know a helpful hand or in your case paw?" Alvin asked as Britney quickly picked up her underwear and bras both chipmunk sized not wanting Alvin to see them.
"Brit I noticed the looks you've been giving me every day and I know that look either you have the flu or you're head over paws over the moon lovestruck with little old me".
"Oh puhlease Alvin you know it is ok for me to look at you and not have hearts and stars in my eyes. I mean to think I was ever in love with-"Brittany began but caught herself a little too late.
"See I knew it I knew you couldn't resist me. I mean what chipmunk girl can? I'm awesome, cool, athletic, cool, a leader, did I mention cool?"
"Alvin I admit that I am in love with you because we are opposite sex and all but there's just a tiny spark there it's not like it's in full bloom".
"Give it time it will be and FYI I have dreams of you too I'm just a little more discreet on my dream talking than you are" Alvin said making Brittany's bed and they both saw her side was spotless.
"All right now that I helped you Brit you have to repay the favor and hook Eleanor and Theo up because I know they really like each other".
"That's fine I'm sure I can do that Al as your brothers call you. But what about Jeanette and Simon don't they need each other too?"
"Sure but their smart enough to work on their emotions by themselves. I mean I love Theo and all but he's not brave enough to work on his emotions by himself".
"So how am I supposed to get Eleanor and Theodore alone? I mean do I look like cupid to you?" Brittany asked as Alvin shrugged and walked into his room to find the boys already starting on their sides of the room.
"See teamwork works every time and right now it's the A's turn to clean his side of the room. I mean I'd hate to leave my brother's hanging" Alvin said gathering up dirty clothes, instruments, and video game everything around his room.
"Don't ask me Brit you're a girl and girly things involve playing matchmaker when you absolutely, positively, under all circumstances need to".
"Great just great so just because I'm a girl I need to be the matchmaker for Chip one and Chip two? I mean you're his brother why don't you help him find love?"
"Because I'm no you Brit I'm me and love and I don't mix. Trust me on this Brit you're better off figuring this out yourself".
"Ugh fine I'll talk to her but you have to meet me halfway with the brother of your choice because I'm not a full plan kind of gal" Brittany said leaving the boys room and walking back to her room to find Eleanor and Jeanette cleaning their sides of the room.
"Say Elle why don't we talk after you're done here because I have a boy in mind for you and he's a total catch. Trust me on this Elle he's the only fish in the sea".
Alright Brit just help me finish my bed and we can go meet the only fish in the sea as you call him. His name better start with a Theo and end with a dore" Eleanor said as Brittany pulled the covers up to the front of Eleanor's bed and they scurried off to meet Theodore her knight in shining armor.
When Brittany got to the hall where Alvin was supposed to meet her halfway he was nowhere to be found and Brittany's eyes turned into anger.
"Darn you Alvin Seville I give you one job and you can't even handle that. I mean how hard is it to meet in the hallway?" Brittany asked as Alvin casually walked down the hall with Theodore following behind snacking on candy.
"Hey Theo look who it is Brittany and Eleanor fancy meeting them here am I right? So Brit why not tell Theo and Ellie why you want them here in this hall today?" Alvin asked standing next to Brittany.
"Well Theo I thought you and Ellie as Alvin calls her would like to chit chat about your secret love for one another".
Theodore giggled handing Eleanor the bag of candy and leading her to a secluded part of the house where he knew they'd be left alone.
"Well that worked didn't it and I would like to thank the academy for being a total genius I mean did you see them they're in love with each other all thanks to me".
Britney stared Alvin down a part of her hating him for taking all the credit for the plan but just a small part.
"Alvin need I remind you who's plan this was? Who walked Eleanor to the hallway? Who the Chipette was that talked Theodore up?" Brittany asked shoving Alvin on her way back to her room.
"Not so fast lead Chipette you have a room to help me clean since I helped you and I even got it started for you" Alvin said leading Brittany to his side of the room that wasn't even close to finished.
"Ugh I knew asking you to help me would backfire on me Alvin Seville. I mean you barely made headway in this stock pile of a room".
"Hey I tried then I got to thinking why should I have to clean two rooms? I mean where is the fairness in that?"
Brittany grumbled and started throwing the rest of his dirty clothes in the basket, picking up his video games, putting his instruments in their respective place in the closet, and making his bed in no time flat.
"Wow Brit that would have taken me at least half the day to clean by myself but you it took half an hour I mean wow where can I get one of you?" Alvin asked as Brittany blushed and Alvin smiled at her.
"Well I'm going to get changed and a shower because this side was a pig sty before I got through with it but with a lady's touch it became the cleanest side of the room" Brittany said her insides jumping for joy at getting a compliment from Alvin.
"He said I did a good job I mean Alvin Seville actually complimented me, me out of all the girl's he meets I'm the one that gets the compliment".
"Don't read too much into it Brittany. I mean do you know how many girl's he probably gave the good job compliment to?" Dream Brittany said as Brittany shook her head and Dream Brittany evaporated leaving Brittany to herself.
"If only he would accept my love and have the same feelings for me. I mean I know he says he does but if he does then why deny me?"
Brittany turned the shower on and undressed hoping her two sisters weren't having as much trouble with love as she was.
Jeanette Seville was spraying herself with a bottle of perfume and applying makeup to her face wanting to make a good first impression on Simon on what she thought was their first date.
"I hope he likes me because I don't know what I'll do if he doesn't. I mean what's not to like we're compatible in every way. We're both smart, we both wear glasses, and we're both misunderstood by our siblings" Jeanette said applying lipstick and smacking her lips.
Jeanette looked in a full sized mirror seeing her stomach stick out a little and she sighed turning around and looking at her butt which was rounder than she remembered.
"Maybe it's time I laid off the nuts before bed. I mean they've got to be the reason I'm so pudgy am I right?"
Jeanette immediately walked away from the mirror and got dressed into a pair of sparkly jeans she brought at the mall that day with a glittery top.
"I wonder how Eleanor deals with being pudgy? I mean she's the pudgy one of the Chipette group, I'm the smartest and close second to being pudgy, and Brittany's the cute leader".
"Theodore, Theodore, Theodore, TTThhheeeooodddooorrreee I mean is there any cuter name in the universe?" Eleanor asked twirling around the room with Theodore's bag of candy in her paws.
"Elle be honest do these pants make my thighs look big? If so how do you deal with being so-so-so-so- I guess I'll stop beating around the bush pudgy?" Jeanette asked as Eleanor giggled looking at Jeanette.
"No those pants do your thighs justice I told you that when you brought them from the mall. Since when do you care how you look?"
"Since I had a crush on Simon so much that I called him Smion and I know he cares a bit about how a girl looks in his eyes".
"Jean Simon loves you and you know it in the back of your mind. I mean Brittany has Alvin, I have Theodore, and you have Simon end of story" Eleanor said slurping a gummy worm into her mouth.
"I know Elle but he doesn't seem to show any interest in me right now. I mean what does a girl have to do to get noticed around here?" Jeanette asked straightening her glasses.
"Jean stop stressing it I mean he cares about you, you care about him, so stop loving him from afar and love him from I don't know anear".
"Anear isn't a real word Elle but I understand what you mean and I wish I could love him from anear but he doesn't love me from anear either".
"Granted but one of you have to make a move or you may move on or he'll move on and then you'll both be missing out" Eleanor said as Brittany walked into the room in a pink towel with a white B on it.
"He complimented me girls I mean me out of all the girls he met in his life he complimented me on my good room cleaning skills" Brittany screamed with glee throwing her towel on her bed.
"Alright I know this is the obvious question but who is the HE we're talking about here and why did he compliment you again?" Jeanette asked throwing some glitter all over her fur".
"Well I'll tell you Human Disco Ball the HE we're talking about is a Mr. Alvin Seville and he told me I had a good cleaning sense".
"Well it's not love but it's a push in the right direction. And I am not a Human Disco Ball I'm playing hard to get and look at me with the glitter Brit".
"Well Simon is definitely going to look at you he'll have no choice considering the glitter on your clothes, the goop on your face, and the glitter all over your fur".
"Girls there's no need to fight amongst ourselves. I mean we're sister's and we should love each other no matter how much glitter and makeup Jeanette's wearing" Eleanor said as Brittany nodded and hugged Jeanette sitting at her own vanity and doing her makeup.
"Elle you should go into writing advice columns for the paper or something. I mean every time there's a fight brewing in the house your always there to play referee and put a stop to it".
"Yea well that's just my way girls I mean everybody fights here and there but it shouldn't break the bond we have as sisters".
"Our bond as sisters will never break Elle no matter how much Jean and I fight we're always going to be sister's" Brittany said throwing an all pink ensemble on and walking from the room with Jeanette and Eleanor following her.
The night's festivities began with pizza, candy, ice cream sundaes, and A Nightmare On Elm Street 1 which Dave decided to give a lecture to Theodore and Eleanor.
"Now just remember it's only a movie none of it really happened it's just to scare people and to entertain certain people mainly Alvin's needs" Dave said as Theodore and Eleanor nodded and the DVD started.
"Finally no adult supervision just the six of us doing what we do best which is being sibs. Jeanette might I ask why you're sparkling?" Alvin asked as Simon smiled next to her.
"I-I-I-I-I-I guess I went a little overboard with the glitter during prep time. I mean I just wanted tonight to be special for Sie and I" Jeanette said shaking herself off throwing glitter all over Alvin.
"Hey Alvin I think glittery is a good look for you. I mean I've never been so attracted to you then I am right now" Brittany said giggling as Alvin coughed out glitter.
"You know Jean next time you could answer me without the shaking of your fur. I mean how would you like it if I shook out all over you?"
"I wouldn't mind it because you're not glittery like I am, you're not in the least bit shakable, and you wouldn't dare bully me with Brittany next to you".
The movie got to the part where Tina wakes up from her first nightmare and both Theodore and Eleanor jumped at the same time nervously laughing at each other.
"You know Alvin maybe if you spent a little less time caring what Jeanette did to you and a little more time on me the odds may be stacked in your favor" Brittany said agitated.
"Yea well maybe if Queen Of The Glitter didn't just turn me into an arts and crafts project I would be paying a lot of attention to you".
"Alvin this is so a turn off I mean who cares if Jeanette doused you with a little glitter It's not the end of the world is it?"
"You're a girl you wouldn't understand the gripes a boy has with glitter Brit but hey you can try to understand it if you want. Think of it as me dripping in sweat and shaking it all over you".
"One you would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, not in a trillion years try that, two if you do start running Seville, and third if you do get away you better have a very good hiding place".
"Just watch the movie and get used to them because they're running all night. I mean just look at Theodore he's not scared which is surprising".
Theodore put on a brave face and held Eleanor who was shivering hearing Freddy's laugh and Tina was pulled across the ceiling by Freddy and met a bloody end.
"I-can't-believe-you-can-watch-this-without-screaming, squealing, or-shutting-your-eyes-Theodore-you're-so-brave" Eleanor said seeing the blood on Tina's bed.
"It's not so bad Elle I mean it's not like it's real is it? A guy can't kill people in dreams and kill them forever" Theodore said trying to reassure Eleanor.
"Sure it's not real but look at what happened to that poor girl blood all over her room, walls, and bed it's going to stain".
"Well she's dead so I doubt she cares that blood is all over her room Eleanor now shut it and stop being such a scaredy cat" Alvin said as Brittany stouted and grumbled worst date ever under her breath.
"Brit I'm sorry I'm not entertaining you but she has got to be the scaredy cat to end all scaredy cats ever. I mean just look at how brave Theodore's being and her and him were always scaredy cats together".
Brittany smacked Alvin upside the head and went to take Eleanor to her tent but saw she wasn't there and neither was Theodore.
"See they went off to have their own fun so why don't you sit back, relax, and let the good times roll from that bushy tail of yours.
"Well it's hard to do that with blood and guts all over the place Seville. I mean just how much fun can blood and guts be?"
"Brit you need to try thinking like a guy for once. I mean you may hate blood but guys are different in that way right Simon?"
"Indubitably Alvin the male and female of the species are different in many ways my brother. Enjoying violence is one of them and another is we're attracted most of the time to our female counterparts" Simon said as Alvin slapped him five and Brittany and Jeanette looked cold and hard at the boys.
"All right come on Jeanette I think we have things to discuss and maybe we should leave Brittany and Alvin alone for a while".
Jeanette growled at Simon but shrugged and followed him down the hall leaving Alvin and Brittany who was applying lip gloss alone.
"Brit do your lips ever feel lonely without your lip goop? I mean I bet you can't go one day without makeup on your face" Alvin said as Brittany grabbed him in her arms and kissed him as Dave was walking in with more snacks to find them making out all alone.
"Here I'm sure the others are doing the same as you right now but they'll be back once they smell the pizza. Also by the looks of things Brittany got what she wanted for her birthday a boyfriend" Dave said making sure to whisper the last few words.
"How's that for a kiss Al? Not bad for a girl with lip goop huh sweetie?" Brittany asked as Alvin smiled and shrugged kissing Brittany again.
In the backyard we see Simon and Jeanette staring at each other the both of them waiting for the other to make a move and soon.
"Soooo here we are outside in the wilderness with the crickets, stars, frogs, and owls singing our lullaby. Doesn't all that make you want to ohh I don't know confess your love for me?" Jeanette asked as Simon just stared at her picturing her in a see through nightgown.
"Sie are you even paying attention to me? I mean where's your head at today my intelligent cutie of a chipmunk?"
Simon shook Dream Jeanette out of his head as she faded and reality Jeanette was sitting across from him her head in her paws looking longingly at Simon.
"Sorry Jeanette my mind was somewhere else just now for no apparent reason. So what were you saying before I got lost in my mind?" Simon asked as Jeanette shrugged opening her sleeping bag.
"It was nothing just forget it Smion I mean Simon. I was just saying how beautiful it is tonight and how it paints the backdrop of love out here in the tent" Jeanette said as Simon stared at her agreeing with her but the macho side of him was too proud to admit it.
"Simon do you think you can ever have a full conversation with me without drifting-off-to-memory-lane like you are now".
Simon had a dazed look in his eyes that Jeanette knew well and she huffed storming from the tent and looking at the full moon her heart slowly but surely broken with a song she wrote in her heart.

The owls hooted to Jeanette's tune as she turned the page Promise Me Forever continuing because she wanted her song for Simon to finally get out.

Jeanette's eyes shot to the moon it's rays shimmering in her eyes her song for Simon burning in the pit of her stomach longing to be let out.

Jeanette sighed lovingly the last verse being her favorite because she spent a lot of time on it until she was satisfied with it not noticing Simon quietly make his way to her.

Jeanette felt a shiver go down her spine knowing what it meant but whether or not Simon was by her she was going to finish her song.

When Jeanette was done Simon crept up to her side and sat on the ground next to her.
"Jean that song was amazing I really mean that it was so great. So are you going into a concert with that song? Because if you're not it'd be really dumb of Brittany to deny you" Simon said as Jeanette kissed him making the first move.
"There was an inspiration to the song Simon and I know in the back of your mind you know who it is. I mean I'm sending all kinds of signals here it's up to you to figure them out" Jeanette said about to stand but Simon grabbed her kissing her lips and she swooned as he smiled at her.
"I'm no Sherlock Holmes Jean and you're no Watson yourself but together we can figure all sorts of things out together" Simon said as Jeanette giggled kissing Simon again and in another tent Theodore and Eleanor's love story was about to be written.
Eleanor squealed in her tent not being able to get the image of Tina's death scene out of her head and Theodore tried being brave for her but his fear of everything took over and Eleanor smiled thinly glad Theo was back to his old self.
"You know Theodore I don't remember much about our mother but I do remember she used to tell me that being scared is natural for a chipmunk so if we do get scared don't be afraid to show that you're scared" Eleanor said to a shaking Theodore.
"Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Yea w-w-w-w-w-w-well s-s-s-s-s-s-somebody should t-t-t-t-t-t-tell t-t-t-t-t-t-that to A-A-A-A-A-A-A-Alvin t-t-t-t-t-t-t-the b-b-b-b-b-b-b-bravest c-c-c-c-c-c-c-chipmunk a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-alive" Theodore said starting to see visions of Tina's death scene also.
"Forget Alvin Theo I'm sure there are things that even scare him even if he really hates to show how scared he is of certain things"
"I wish I knew what scared Alvin so I could see him get scared Elle. I mean come on you've got to admit him being scared is just not a thing that happens at least not in our lifetime".
"Forget Alvin Theo he's not here now and I'd hate to see him show up and scare us half to death. Plus you're shaking like a leaf" Eleanor said snuggling close to Theodore.
"Theo do you ever think of girls? I mean what kind of dumb question is that of course you think of girls you're a boy and all boys must think of girl's at least thirty times a day".
Theodore giggled looking over at Eleanor in her pink sleeping bag trying to get comfortable but having a hard time doing it.
"Hey Elle why don't we share that sleeping bag? I mean my furs warm in all seasons and I'm sure that goofy grin on your face says it all" Theodore said with Eleanor giggling bashfully her cheeks blushing while Theodore slid in the bag next to her.
"Ohhhhhhhhh Theo you weren't kidding you really are extremely warm sweetie. I can so deal with you being next to me all night keeping me warm".
Theodore not thinking twice kissed Eleanor and she kissed him back the both of them sighing happily glad they found each other at last.
