A cold gust of wind passed through the cold realm of Jotunheim, it brought with itself the chill of winter. As the wind ruffled through the blueish-white leaves, they were swept to the ground, where they were left to rustle in the cold wind. Even though the sun shone brightly in the sky, it couldn't withstand the chill of the frost giants' home which was unbearably cold.

An impressive temple stood atop a gigantic mountain that stretched for kilometers in every direction. A large number of dangerous, blue-skinned beings stood guard within the walls of the palace that were made from gold and marble. Every now and then, screams were heard coming from the temple.

A beautiful, blue-skinned woman was giving birth. She was the wife of the current king of the frost giants, Laufey. In spite of her body screaming in pain, she did not abandon her hopes of bearing a worthy heir to her race, so she remained strong. An heir who would be able to defeat those accursed Asgardians.

Eventually, after an agonizing period of time, she finally gave out the last breath of her life when she gave birth to a child. Laufey looked at the small baby in his hand and at the dead woman. He squinted his eyes at the size of the baby. He was too small for a frost giant, especially for a prince. "It seems like both of them are failures," he said without any love for them.

He handed the baby to one of the guards and declared, "Throw him out and burn her corpse". The guard nodded and called the other guards to burn the woman's corpse while he put the baby in the snow. After a few minutes without the baby uttering anything, the baby closed its eyes.

And as he reopened them, a loud scream rang in the cold wilderness. 'What the fuck! Where am I? And why is it so cold?' The baby tried to say something, but only gibberish came out of its mouth.

'Ok… Ok… Let's just try to remember what I was doing' thought the baby trying to calm itself and figure out where it was. 'I remember… It was the morning, and I was jogging under the warmth of the sun. I ran for around an hour but as the grey clouds started to cover the sky, I headed home. I then took a cold shower and drank a coffee in front of the window.'

'I looked at the sky while reminiscing about my miserable existence. But then white lightning bolts flickered in the sky and pierced the clouds. A thunderstorm roared and the wind swept the trees away. A few habitations started falling. Rain fell from the sky and engulfed the streets. I saw people die… But I did not really care about that and looked at the white scorching sun which was coming closer to the earth.'

'And then a white light dazzled my sight… So, I died and reincarnated…'

'How fun!'

'Well, this is no fun!'

'I don't feel as cold anymore, but I am still a baby, and I can't move. Boredom has started to erode my otherwise brilliant mind. Try to look at the same scenery for a long time without being able to do anything and you will see!' thought the baby frost giant.

However, at that moment, the baby heard the sound of footsteps in the snow. And in his sight came an old man with a white beard and blood on his face. There was a golden spear in one of his hands, and he wore strange armor that matched the weapon in his hand. Behind his back was some sort of casket.

They both looked at each other in the eyes and a few seconds later, the baby was in the man's hand. "How could they abandon such an innocent thing? The son of Laufey… You know my first son has just been born. Maybe you could be brothers? And then as you will rise to the throne of Jotumheim and him of Asgard there will finally be peace."

'… Fucking shit… I am in Marvel!' thought the baby. 'Well, I guess it is better than DC and I am a semi-immortal being, so yep Lady Luck is on my side.'

"Now you just need a name, little one… Oh, I know. As of now, I Odin Borson, the all-father, name you Loki Odinson!" spoke Odin. As he said that, Loki's skin turned light white, and he now resembled an Asgardian baby.

"Heimdall! Open the Bifrost" called out Odin before disappearing in a gigantic beam of blue light. Following their disappearance, a big pattern in the snow and a cold storm was all that remained.

The room where Odin arrived was gleaming and luxurious. in front of him, stood a man with starry eyes and he held a majestic silver sword in his hand with glistening finesse. The man wore a full-plated golden armor as well as a golden casket with horns on top of it. Seeing his king, the man bowed in respect and looked at the child that was in the hand of Odin for a moment.

"My Lord is that?" he asked with apprehension.

Odin nodded and responded, "Yes, Laufey's son."

"Do you really plan to adopt him" questioned Heimdall?

"Yes, he will be Thor's sworn brother and together they will be able to achieve that which I could not do. Peace." Truthfully answered the godhead.

"I understand my Lord. But have you talked about it with the Lady?" inquired the gatekeeper.

"Not yet. But I am sure she will have no problem with it. You know as well as I do how kind-hearted she is." Replied Odin though he hid a bit of apprehension about what his wife would say.

Heimdall nodded in acknowledgment and said, "I wish you luck".

Odin smiled and started walking toward the temple. He used magic to hide baby Loki, so as not to arouse rumors that Loki was adopted or an illegal son. Asgardians bowed to him upon seeing him on his way on the long bridge. He was held in high esteem by them all.

In their eyes, he was a hero. He had fought alone against their enemies in their territory and had brought victory to Asgard. In a short period of time, he reached the temple. Then he walked towards the room where Frigga was waiting for him, which was in Thor's bedroom.

"Hello dear," said Odin with a smile on his face.

Frigga looked at the baby in Odin's hand and squinted her eyes. "Is that your son?" she asked with a cold glare.

A few beads of sweat fell from Odin's face, but he remained strong in front of his angry wife. "No, he is ours." He responded.

Frigga approached him and took the baby in her hand. And as she looked closely at him, her eyes widened in surprise. "A frost giant?"

She clutched her fist with so much strength that it turned white. "You did it with a frost giant?! While we were at war with them?" she screamed.

"No, no. I would never. He was abandoned alone in the harsh cold." Replied the king.

"Why would you do that? And he does not seem to be a normal frost giant." inquired the queen of Asgard.

"He is Laufey's son." Responded Odin clearly

"Why would you do that?" she asked again surprised by whose son it was.

"The peace of the universe." Answered the god of wisdom.

"Peace. Always peace. You should first think about your family and then Asgard. For if you can't even do that, then universal peace is but a big dream." She told him harshly.

"I do think about our family! And Loki is also part of it! He and Thor will have a brother bond and together they will be able to achieve great things. Things that I could not do with the death of my brothers and my father!" He spoke with determination.

*Sight * "fine. I will be his mother and Thor his brother" responded Frigga in resignation seeing a long-lost flame in Odin's eyes.

With Loki in her hand, she strolled toward a spacious crib where there was a baby. She then placed him near the other baby. That baby had blond hair and blue eyes. "Thor this is Loki. Loki this is Thor and as of now both of you are brothers." She told them.

The chubby blond baby started crawling toward baby Loki, who could only look at him in apprehension as he did not have enough motor control to move his small limbs. The blue-eyed baby then jumped on Loki and with a smile, he held him in his arms.

'Dammit, that hurts. Control that freaky strength!' thought Loki trying to escape Thor's hug in vain.

"Oh, look at them! They are already so close!" exclaimed Frigga with a warm smile and a few tears in her eyes. Odin calmly nodded and said "Indeed. They will have a very strong bond."

'Help me!' cried Loki in his mind as he pleaded for his new parents to separate him. "Waa," he cried.

"Oh, so cute. He is happy to meet his brother. It should have been their fate to become brothers." Stated Frigga while hugging her husband.

'Oh, damn you!' cursed Loki in his mind seeing that they had no intention of helping him.

"Come here Loki. This is for your own good" she said trying to take the young baby in her arms.

'No, no! I don't want to!' screamed Loki in his mind.

Unfortunately, all of this was in vain, and she held him to her chest. Afterward, she made him drink her milk while he was left to cry as he tried to forget this humiliation.

As soon as they were finished, she placed him back in the crib and took Thor so that he could also drink. The baby soon closed his eyes and fell asleep cursing at his inability to fight back against those monsters that continued to break his already meager pride.

"Sweet dreams, sweetie!" Frigga exclaimed before kissing Loki's forehead. She walked back to her room and whispered to Odin "You were right, adopting Loki was the right thing to do. But next time you wish to do something like that, tell me beforehand."

Odin could only nod while hugging his wife. "Of course," he said, happy that his wife had forgiven him.
