Tales of the Avatar have been told throughout many eras. One of which was when Avatar Aang and his friends heroically ended the Hundred-Year War. He and his ally, Firelord Zuko transformed a majority of the Fire Nation Colonies into the United Republic of Nations, a society where benders and non-benders from all over the world could live together in peace and harmony. They named the capital of this great land, Republic City. Sadly, Aang's time in the world came to an end. And like the cycle of seasons, the cycle of the Avatar began anew. Throughout the times, many have known about the bending arts and the destiny that the Avatar needs to fulfill. But unbeknownst to all, something entirely mystifying has set foot into this changed world...

Somewhere along the region of Hu Xin Province, a certain youthful colonial boy was heading back to his apartment with a small bag of produce. "Hey, Aunt Yui." He said as he entered. "Welcome home, Tuei. How was school today?" Aunt Yui asked. Tuei answered as he was setting his bag down, "It was okay. There's a car parked outside..." he then stopped short as he noticed Yui chatting with a middle-aged upper-classman wearing a formal business suit. "Hello, Mr. Tuei." the businessman greeted. "Wha...? Hey... I-I'm Tuei." he awkwardly responded. The man replied with an introduction. "Chang." Tuei asked, "What uh... what brings you here?" Chang said back, "It's about time we met. Your aunt and I were talking about having an open spot for you two in Republic City." Tuei shows a look of surprise on his face. "Really?" Aunt Yui chimed in, "Of course, Tuei. It's what I've been planning a long time ago with your uncle. We haven't told you earlier because we couldn't afford the trip. Luckily, I ran into an old friend who was eager to help us out."

Chang added on, "Starting this evening, my ship will arrive to pick us up and afterwards, I'll show you two where you'll be staying." Tuei piqued in confusion, "So I gotta pack up now?" He didn't expect to leave so soon. Chang nodded and pardoned if it would be a problem, "I understand what it's like to leave your old life so suddenly, but I can assure you that you may just enjoy your stay there. Not a moment of dullness in the big city." Tuei gave himself a moment to process this proposition, "This should help her get some clarity, right? To let her have time to live out for herself?" he pondered.

After a few seconds of thought, Tuei gave a quick agreement, "Alright then. I'm all good." Chang reached out his hand for a shake and Tuei obliges, "Wonderful! I have also provided a new position for a shelter to help out those in need. As soon as we reach Republic City, my business will be our first stop." Aunt Yui exclaimed, "That sounds perfect!" Chang complied as he heads out the apartment, "I'll come back to remind you of our leave soon. Be sure to prepare everything you need beforehand, okay? Thanks." Tuei then turned to counsel Aunt Yui. "Are you sure about this? You could put a big strain on yourself there." Aunt Yui places her hand on Tuei's shoulder, "I know change can be hard, but you should see the better things that come with it. Remember what your uncle and I used to say: You'll always find a pinch of sweetness in the most bitter tastes." Tuei comes to realize that his aunt holds merit to her words, and how that reminds him of the times she sticks out for him as well as his uncle. "Need some help packing?" he asked. And Yui answered warmly, "That would be great."

After a few short hours, evening begins to settle. Chang had returned as he said and announced their time to depart. The two family members have readied their luggage and had closed their old home away. The three head for the docks and were greeted by a massive grand cruise that Yui and Tuei marveled their eyes on. "Shall we?" Chang offered. Thus, they all stepped into the ship and began to drift westward.

A new destination awaits for the young spirit. How bad can it be...?

(Author's note: I can't believe I had my story stolen from my old account. It took me a whole year to recover it. Enough dwelling on that, I made a few changes to my first chapter and hopefully it comes out okay.)
