A/N: Alright so I took a break from writing MHA to recharge the batteries, but now I'm back with some new ideas that I hope you'll be entertained. So far I've written a villain Izuku and Hero Izuku so the last one is Vigilante Izuku. Merry Christmas everyone please enjoy this gift.
Our story begins in the prestigious hero school of UA. Many heroes had passed through its halls the most famous of which is the Symbol of Peace All Might. In one classroom there sat a boy with brilliant red hair kept in a thin ponytail at the back of his head. He was dressed in the signature UA uniform this boy was Hisashi Midoriya a member of UA's business course. This would be his first year at the school and he was looking to graduate with top marks. Hisashi's quirk was fire breath a quirk that could have put him in the hero course, but Hisashi had no interest in that.
Business was his pursuit and UA was the best hero school so he could make many connections in the field going forward. "Alright, students listen up. I know this is only the first day of your first year, but I'll be giving you your end-of-the-year assignment right now. Hisashi's golden eyes moved across the classroom seeing the nervous looks of his fellow students. "Alright calm down it's not as dire as you might think. The reason I'm giving this assignment right now is that it will take a whole year for you to complete it. The assignment goes as follows." Their teacher's eyes moved over the class making sure he had each student's attention.
"The classes of I, J, and K will be brought over to the hero courses at which point you will interview the other first years and form a partnership with your chosen student. For the rest of the year, you will be responsible for helping them with their public image and recommending heroes for their internships and Work studies that will help with their reputation. Think of this as practice runs for managing heroes in your chosen career path. Of course, there will only be twenty-four hero course students versus the thirty-six students of the Business course, so like in all things in life it's not fair. You will need to use your instincts and information to choose a student that you can work with. Each of you has a tablet programmed with information on all twenty-four students. The Sports Festival ended a couple of days ago so you'll have time to get to know your chosen hero to be and help them with their internships. At the end of the year, I will go over each Hero Course Student's public Image comparing it to where they started after the Sports Festival. Their station by then will reflect your grade."
Hisashi's eye perked up at this already UA was bearing its fangs twenty-four choices and thirty-six choosers. He'd need to think about this and make a good choice, but he couldn't wait too long either. "Sensei what happens to those of us who can't find a hero student to work with?" Hisashi asked. His teacher gave a grim smile.
"For those of you who don't choose a partner out of the twenty-four students will have to choose from the support course choosing an inventor and making a portfolio for their creations and how to market them to prospective buyers." There was a collective groan from the entire class of 1-I. Support course students were notoriously…eccentric and very picky. "Now that I've lit a fire under you let's line up and make our way over to the heroics department." There was a mad dash to be the first in line so they could be the first to enter the classroom and get their shot in. Hisashi was one of the few who didn't rush to line up he'd already made his choice and he was absolutely sure no one else was going to look in this person's direction.
All three business classes were divided between the two hero courses meaning eighteen students for each class of twelve Hisashi looked at his fellow business students as they furiously looked through their tablets making sure of their choices and maybe issuing a few prayers that they could get at least one of them. "Alright, students the first nine will go in and make their choices, and then the next nine. We'll be going by seat number so no complaining. The three students with seat numbers one, two, and three go inside." Their teacher commanded as Hisashi gave a grin, so the mad scramble to be the first in line was all for naught.
Hisashi was seat number three and he strode in with all the confidence of a CEO. He watched as his classmates made their rounds, probably planning to speak with each student and go from there while others planned to only hit the ones on their list and make their decision from there. Hisashi was in the latter group, but he only had one person on his list. He moved past the other students to stand before another redheaded youth. The boy was powerfully built at least a head taller than Hisashi himself. The redhead had two stacks of papers from what Hisashi could see one seemed to be a list of Hero agencies and the other was a list of crime reports.
The class went quiet seeing Hisashi approach the redhead. There was a myriad of whispers as to what he could be thinking, but Hisashi ignored them all. He had a plan and this person was the only one who could complete it. Even with Hisashi standing in front of him the redhead did not acknowledge his presence. Hisashi gave a rough cough before speaking. "Hi, I'm Hisa-."
"Go away." A rough voice interrupted Hisashi's carefully crafted introduction. "I have no interest in whatever you're doing so go bother someone else." The redhead continued unapologetically rejecting Hisashi. Hisashi stood there for a moment before putting his tablet away and slamming his hands on the boy's desk. Everyone in the class jumped at the loud nose staring at the two redheads.
"Excuse me Enji Todoroki my name is Hisashi Midoriya and I will be your Heroic Profile manager." Enji's blue eyes looked up from the paper in his hands glaring at Hisashi.
"What?" He growled as Hisashi continued.
"Now that I have your attention let me point out a few things. You completely dominated the Sports Festival winning first place by a landslide, and no doubt you have several hundred requests to join hero agencies across the country, but let me show you this." He said pulling out his tablet and opening a window showing Enji's popularity after the Sports Festival. Fifty percent likability among the public, you are the winner of the sports festival your likability should be no less than ninety percent, but here you are at fifty. Do you know what that means? It means no matter how much crime you stop no matter how many villains you put away you'll be mediocre at best. Stopping crime is only half of what people want from a hero. They want their heroes to be beacons something they can look up to and admire you know someone they actually like!" Hisashi shouted pressing the tablet closer to Enji's face.
"Even other heroes aren't that willing to take you on. As the winner of the Sports Festival heroes should be breaking down this classroom door to get a piece of you, and yet you only have a few hundred requests, is that good enough for you because it sure as hell shouldn't be." Hisashi hammered his point home. Every student stared at the redheaded business student dressing down Enji Todoroki.
"You said in your speech that you wanted to be a greater hero than All Might, not be the next All Might, but to beat him right? You can't do that with a crappy personality which is all people will see if you don't let me manage you. No one else here wants to partner with you they would all rather deal with the maniacs in the Support Department than have to try and manage you, not me I'm not scared of a challenge. In fact, I want a challenge if you want to beat All Might then I want to be the person that helped you do that. So how about you and me go for broke Plus Ultra and all that." Hisashi said holding out his hand to Enji.
Enji stared at the other redhead for a moment before giving an arrogant grin and standing up. "You've got guts Midoriya alright then, but if you hold me back I'll kick you to the side like a pebble in the road," Enji said holding his hand out to Hisashi who quickly took it.
"Same here you screw over my management possibilities I'll drop you like a hot potato, now let's get to work," Hisashi said with a grin pulling up a chair as Enji sat down.
The partnership between Enji and Hisashi catapulted both young men into their chosen careers. With Hisashi managing Enji's rather troubling personality he was able to steadily increase Enji's likability among the public. Helping Enji choose the right agencies to capitalize on all he had to offer to show people just what kind of hero Endeavor would be. As for Hisashi his being able to manage such an unlikable individual had many Hero Management agencies clambering for the young man. Their business relationship became a friendship that both treasured even after graduating. Enji refused to have anyone manage his portfolio aside from Hisashi and Hisashi made sure that Endeavor was his main client never to be put on the back burner.
Over the years the two remained close even when Hisashi started working overseas he made time to be Enji's best man at his wedding to Rei where he met a cute and kind caterer named Inko. Several years later Enji returned the favor as Hisashi's best man. Still, with Hisashi not being able to physically see Enji he couldn't see the growing obsession growing in his friend. His drive to become better than All Might began to consume his friend driving him to desperate measures to achieve that goal.
After being told by Inko that she would be giving birth to their first child Hisashi returned to Japan finally being able to speak to his friend face to face.
Hisashi sat in the living room of the Todoroki household with Enji as they clinked their Sake cups together. "Welcome back," Enji said as he sipped his Sake. Hisashi gave a chuckle.
"Gee don't get all weepy on me Enji." He said mocking the other's gruff greeting. "But thanks it's good to be back home for this month. To be honest, I'm nervous it'll be my first kid do you have any advice for a new dad? I mean you just had your fourth kid." Hisashi said as Enji looked away.
"Rei was the one who mostly raised them, but I have high hopes for Shoko. I think she will have the perfect combination of our quirks. Toya can't do what I need him to." Enji said as Hisashi raised his brow.
"Enji he's still your son, I know you wanted him to be a hero like you, and it's a bad break his body can't handle his firepower, but you can't just swap him out like a broken wrench, and besides Shoko's only six months old it's a bit early to put that kind of expectation on her," Hisashi said sternly before sighing. "Enji I know you're still chasing after that dream you had when we first met, and I want you to know I still believe you can do it. I believe that the hero Endeavor can be the number one hero in Japan. I mean isn't that why you chose that name? Endeavor to be better. You can't be better by making the same mistakes. Don't go down the same path with Shoko that you went down with Touya." Hisashi said. "Honestly I don't care if my son has my quirk his mother's quirk, or something completely different I just want him to grow up happy and healthy," Hisashi said draining his sake cup and pouring himself another cup.
Enji looked at his old friend without saying anything. He heard what his friend said, but could he really be better? All these years he'd been chasing All Might, but still, he was only number two. He didn't know if he could do it. He had to leave his ambition to his children if not Touya then Shoko."You said you're having a boy?" Enji asked as Hisashi nodded.
"Inko told me right before I got on the plane the doctor said we'd be having a boy. I couldn't be happier than Inko. She's so overjoyed I don't even think she was this happy at our wedding." Hisashi chuckled. Enji looked at Hisashi before nodding.
"If your son does want to be a hero I'll train him." Enji declared seemingly out of nowhere. Hisashi arched a brow before chuckling knowingly.
"You know you could just say you want our kids to be friends Enji you don't have to hide it behind an offer of hero training, but thank you nonetheless. I hope Shoko will take care of Izuku too. That's the name Inko came up with by the way I think it's a good strong name." Hisashi said as Enji nodded.
"It is a strong name. I hope he grows into a man worthy of it." The flame hero agreed.
A week later Hisashi and Inko Midoriya welcomed their son into the world.
