Kikkie: I would just like to say, I always wanted to make fanfic on the Jak and Daxter series. I loved that series as a kid! One of Naughty Dog's finest games, if you haven't played it, I highly suggest it. The game was made back in 2005 and the graphics still look great in today's time with today's animations.

Summary: Keira falls into an unknown river of a strange Dark Eco hidden away from the world. Now she has her own dark side, and with it, memories she long had forgotten. Now, she must learn the truth of herself as well as who is her MOTHER! As well as hide from the precurses and other unknown beings after her.

Rated R for cursing and violence!

"So why are we exploring this deep, dark hole that is full of mysterious unknown energy?" The orange fur ottsel asked his comrades as he stares into the unknown abyss. The blue-haired elf (I am not sure if they are humans or not) glances at him before continuing her set up around the edge of the hole. She was hammering down metal spikes into the ground.

There were four elf people either standing around or looking through technology. The ottsel's pal, ride or die buddy, was staring down at the hole intensely, as if he sensed a weird connection to the place.

"We got a strange reading coming from this place not too long ago. It was discovered during an expedition." A red-haired female explained.

"Okay, then why did you bring us instead of your man-servants?" The ottsel spoke.

"Samos orders. He said that you, Keira, and Jak know this place very well and know exactly where to go." The redhead spoke.

"I don't know this place," Jak responded, or rather growled.

"It's the Lost Precursor city, or rather a fraction of it." Keira chuckles before walking over to the group. In her hand, a red tube. Gripping the edge of the tip, she rips it off to cause it to pit out a fire. In haste, she throws the tube into the hole, then watches the flare fall down to a very long distance down. But still able to see red burning light.

"From the distance and old maps I found, we would be around 137 feet away from the Rock village," Keira explains.

"That doesn't explain why we are on a mountain." Daxter puts into her explaining. This caused Keira to roll her eyes at the orange furball. Something Jak had noticed.

"After the Metal Heads swarmed our home, years of terror and Mar's construction, plus the death of the Sage's…well, nature reformed I guess. The books call it the three years of earthquakes. Massive vibrations underground that moved mountains and caused water to flow into the opposite direction. That's why our home is…well a swamp." Keira explained.

"So the city just moved underground," Jak asked, causing Keira to nod her head. "But a becan?"

"Precursor technology is sterdy," Keira says before looking back at the hole. "Or maybe this is a new place? One we didn't find when we were teens."

"Think there are still Lurkers down there?" Daxter asked, causing Torn and Ashelin to give confused glances at one another. Those two aren't 100% aware that Keira, Jak, and Daxter (plus Samos in a way) are from the past. Let alone know that these four are more knowledgeable about precursor technology than most people in Heaven city.

"If they are, there is a 75% chance there are cannibals. So finger crossed they died." Keira chuckled at the scared animal whose eyes widen. Soon, the four adults strapped themselves with harnesses that wrapped around their waist and thighs. Going towards the edge, Ashelin is the first to jump down, then Jak, followed by Keira then Torn. By the time the four had gotten to the bottom, Keira's flare had gone out. Luckily, flashlights exist and Keira had a flashgun.

"Ugh, this place hasn't seen the day of light in a long time," Daxter tells the group as he pats sand off his ear. The place wasn't as dark as it seemed. The hole above them was able to brighten the place a bit that Jak was able to look back on walls and see draws and writing of some sort…wasn't anything he had seen before.

"This looks like precursor writing, but I can't identify the drawings," Jak says as he stares at the wall. Torn, who was examining the area, notices that they were in a single room with no doors or other entrances.

"Where's the beacon?" Torn asked. Jak and Daxter (because Daxter sits…stands…holds, I don't know) move over towards Torn to see him examining the tracker as Keira and Ashelin were taking pictures of the walls.

"It says to go forward but there's a wall," Jak says.

"We can smash the wall?" Daxter said before jumping down from Jak's shoulder. Without realizing it, the small force he had just applied to the ground started to shake the floor beneath them. Ashelin flashes her light to them with eyes widening in shock. Keira is the first to notice the ground shaking and falling apart! Immediately, she runs to her rope and begins to climb, the others following behind her. Jak grabbed Daxter, throwing him on his back before jumping onto the rope.

All four clip themselves to their rope just as the ground disappeared. Hanging in the air, Keira shoots her flare to the side of the empty area, she revealed to her friends a new entrance…and a large vast river of Dark Eco. The flare that Keira had shot bounced off the side of the newly discovered entrance. Slowly sinking into the river of vast length.

"We're going to need a boat." Keira chuckles.

"How long has this Eco been here?" Torn asked.

"2…maybe 3 hundred years." Keira started. "My father said the ancient ones hid Eco in these large spheres underwater. They used them as emergency generators. I wonder if that's what we are in?"

"That wouldn't explain the unknown beacon signal were picking up?" Torn growled.

"Maybe a precursor?" Keira asked.

"Maybe a Dark one," Jak responded. "Whatever this place is, I get a bad feeling."

"Oooooh! The big adventurer is scared." Keira chuckled before grabbing her flashlight and pointing it down just in time to see black metal fangs and a wide-open mouth coming towards her. Eyes widening, she drops her flashlight and screams in fear. Luckily for her, Jak blaster was on hand, and he landed a yellow shot right into the creature's tongue, forcing it to retreat.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" Daxter shouted as he wraps himself around Jaks face in fear.

"LESS TALKING! MORE CLIMBING!" Torn shouted as he moves his body up the rope. Everyone does the same in haste, while also completely ignoring the restraints of the rope. Torn is the first to reach the top. Immediately, he begins to pull at both Ashelins and Keira's rope. Pulling them up quicker as Jak kept shooting at the unknown shark. Once Ashelin and Keira are up, they begin to pull Jak up along with Torn.

"What the hell is that thing!?" Ashelin shouted as she pulls the rope.

"It looks like a Lucker Shark, but much deadlier!" Keira shouted. "It was larger than a building!"

"JUST PULL!" Torn shouted at the two. Soon after, Jak begins to climb up with his blaster in one hand and his other holding onto Keira's. Once up, the five back far away from the edge to catch theirs breathes. Keira staring wide-eyed at the hole.

"I think its time we went home," Daxter spoke.

"Agreed!" Torn moans in annoyance. Ashelin removes the harness around her waist as Jak checks his bullet load. Torn was contacting a pick-up while Daxter was still laying on the ground taking deep breathes.

"That thing…nearly….what was that thing…" Daxter asked.

"It was a Lurker shark but…different," Keira spoke. "As if its…it adapted."

"Adapted?" Daxter asked. "What do you mean by adapting? Are you saying that dark Eco made that thing bigger than a house!"

"It made you into an ottsel." Keira responded.

"Yea. Not something big and scary! That thing didn't even look like a Lurker." Daxter growled, causing to Keira to roll her eyes at him. Suddenly, the gang hears a splash sound, then another splashing sound. Turning their heads towards the edge where the hole was, they gasp as a large creature rises from the hole. Standing up in front of them on two stick-like legs that had pulsating lines of bright blue veins. The creature bends its head to look at the four, widening its mouth to expose those pretty sharp and ling fangs of it.

"Have fun guys," Keira tells the three before turning her back to the monster. She takes cover behind a large boulder as Jak, Ashelin, and Torn fight the monsters. Luckily for them, the monster did get damaged by blaster shots. As they fought, Keira hums to herself as she spaces out. She was trying to ignore the fighting going on behind her, but luck was not on her side.

The monster rammed its body against the boulder. Causing the female to stand up and run from her hiding spot. Standing unknowingly by the edge, she the large shark on its last few legs with holes leaking from its body. It was dying.

"Anyone one have any bullets left?" Torn moaned while holding his gut. He and the other two were covered in scratches and had their clothes torn. Exposing a lot of skin, especially Jak! Who at the moment was using his gun as support to keep him on his feet.

"Give me a moment." Jak moaned as he stood up tall. Pointing his gun, he prepares to fire a single shot into the creature's head. Only to stop when he heard the pick-up team approaching. The loud sounds of air being pushed above them scare the nearly dead creature. Without thought, it started to run towards the hole in fear. Jak, not wanting to see this monster again, takes aim and fires!

"Clean shot."

The upper part of its of the fish keels over near Keira's feet. Its guts…well, all over her body. The female was not so happy at the results. The guts just came onto her like a thick wave of mushy mud all over her body.

"Keira!" Jak shouted before running towards her to check up on her. The young female was just sniffing her clothes.

"Does Eco have a scent?" She asked before spitting out the guts that fell into her mouth during the explosion. "Ugh, this tastes like rotten fish. Wanna try?"

"No! Keira stop!" Jak chuckles as Keira lean over to try and kiss him. The female giggles at the males' disgust. Jak runs Away from her, giving her a chase to run after him. Her first step would become her last.

"Jak?"

Was the last thought she had in her head the ground before she began to crumble. Sending her and the fish down back into the hole. Her rope tightens around her waist, allowing hover for a bit. With this small hope, she begins to climb up the rope yet again. But faith is a cruel thing, just as Jak and Ashelin get to her and pull her up, the rope snapped! Sending her body down into the river of Dark Eco.

"KEIRA!" Jak screamed before running towards the larger hole. Torn and Ashelin right before him to see Keira gasping as she tried to swim against an unknown force pulling her down. The Eco around her begins to seep into her system as she tries to breathe. Seconds later, her mouth unknowingly begins to gargle up dark liquids as her left eye turns pitch black before leaking dark Eco from the side of her cheek. Her body trembles as her arm no longer move to keep her afloat. She soon begins to sink ask her eye staring up at the blue sky.

Jak jumps, landing a few feet from her. Her body begins to sink under the liquids, causing Jak to dive in and grab her by the waist. Reaching the surface, he swims towards the loose hanging rope with one hand while the other is on the limp body female next to her. Keira's left eye was completely black while her mouth kept leaking dark Eco from the side of her lips. Grabbing the rope, both Ashelin and Torn begin to pull the two up.

Kikkie: Fun fact, as far as I can remember, I did come on here to read fanfic about Jak and Keira. My first fanfic was about Keira turning into dark keira and wanting to procreate with Jak. I can't seem to find that fanfic, but I hope its still on here. Its a really good story.
