The Ghost Boy and The Super Girl

Chapter 21: Return Trip to Metropolis

After Lobo was dealt with and shipped towards a prison facility from the Green Lantern Corps, it was decided that Danny would return to Earth and would be under the supervision of Superman and Supergirl for the time being.

The halfa was bummed that he would have to leave space and the amazing watch tower so soon, but accepted that he needed to play things by the Justice League's rules. Being a visitor meant he had to behave like one, even if he had no agency in his arrival.

After all, the two heroes were helping him.

"Still, at least I have a place to stay...and I'm not being threatened to be torn apart molecule by molecule..."He thought as he and Kara boarded onto the Javelin.

They soon felt the ship stir to life, flying out of the watchtower. The ghost boy lifted his arms as he felt the ship zoom into the Earth's atmosphere.

The ghost boy still wished he could stay but felt some degree of joy to have had this experience. He felt a rush of adrenaline, trying to kept his cool as the ship shook against re-entry. That was in vain as he felt joy burst through every pore on his body.

"This almost feels like I'm an astronaut returning to Earth after a mission! Cool!..."He said, closing his eyes and he couldn't help himself, but smile with excitement like a kid at riding a new ride at an amusement park.

For a moment, he envisioned himself wearing a spacesuit, driving the space shuttle to home. He savored every moment of this feeling of how he was almost living his dream before he even got his license.

"This so rocks! I'm actually happy to be displaced in the multiverse or whatever you call it!..."He said, savoring this more and more.

Kara heard this and chuckled.

"I wonder how you'd act after doing this for fifty times already..."She said playfully to the ghost boy.

"Probably less enthusiasm but I doubt that I'll ever get bored of this feeling..."Danny said with a blush, pushing his arms down as he stared back.

"Sit tight, Neil Armstrong. The fun isn't over yet..."She said, jabbing the ghost boy with an elbow.

Danny laughed, unaffected by the jab. Her perfect smile made his heart race, a fact he could not keep secret but didn't dare speak a word about it out loud.

"Okay, space is not the only good thing about this trip. I'm actually kind of glad that I ended up this world..."He thought, as he then noticed the scenery from outside the Javelin's windows started to change.

He turned his attention toward the front, watching as the darkness of space disappeared and he slowly watches the small round blue and green planet that he calls home grow ever so larger until they reach the Earth's atmosphere.

Later

After a couple of hours of travel, Superman, Supergirl and their "guest" have returned to Earth. Once they landed, Superman pressed some buttons as the ship hovered in the clouds, opening a doorway as the autopilot was initiated.

Once it was gone, the trio of heroes took to the skies. They were now flying around the blue skies until they reached their destination. They kept flying until they found that they made it back to Metropolis.

"Here we are. Metropolis. The ship will return to the Watchtower as we fly back..."The man of steel said.

"Really? Cool..."Danny said, still amazed that he actually got to ride in a real spaceship like that.

"Yeah, I figured that it'd be redundant to use the Javelin to fly us back, when we can all simply fly ourselves. Gotta save on fuel, after all. Besides, I think some fresh air would do us some good..."Kal El said.

"Plus, it'll give us some time to show you some more of Metropolis and give a proper tour of our world..."Supergirl said, as they flew into the grand city.

They soon landed nearby the Daily Planet, a building with a gold statue of a ringed planet on top of the building. It was a place Danny only vaguely saw a few times when he flew around earlier.

"Whoa, what's this place? Looks like an office with a globe on top..."Danny said.

"It's the Daily Planet, one of Metropolis's top newspaper companies that reports the news almost as fast as The Flash. Though, probably more consistent in reliability and arriving on time..."The girl of steel said, smirking a bit.

"You know that Flash doesn't like it when people quip that's why he can't find a date..."Superman said, trying to stifle a laugh.

"I'm not making anything of the sort..."Supergirl commented with a mischief smile. "I was just using him to compare how the Daily Planet can maintain a viable stream of news…"She said, trying to hide her smile.

"I'm sure you were..."Superman said before his protégé then turned to the ghost boy once more.

"It's also a good source of knowing trouble happening when it happens..."Supergirl commented.

"Exactly, which is why I'm here..."Superman said.

"In a unique way..."Supergirl commented, giggling a bit.

The ghost boy heard this, raising a brow as he felt like he was out of some kind of loop here.

"I'm getting the feeling that you mean that in an inside joke kind of way..."Danny said while Kara playfully shrugged.

"Sorry, can't tell ya the details..."She said, still giggling.

Her cousin/mentor then got a call from his civilian cell phone and soon saw who was calling him by checking the caller ID.

"Oh my gosh, Lois is probably waiting for me right now..."He thought, before turning to the two teenage heroes.

"Umm...I'll be right back, I've gotta take this call for a quick minute..."Superman said.

Before he went to take the call, he added the following.

"Do not leave the city. I don't need any more surprises, from a Danny or anyone wanting to meet him, violently…"He remarked.

"Okay..."Danny said, nodding.

"Sure thing, Kal…"Supergirl waved goodbye, knowing her cousin was busy.

And Lois Lane was not the kind of woman to hold up.

Superman nodded, before the buff hero floated away to talk more privately.

Danny remained silent but he could see that Superman is the kind of person you can trust...even if he still got cautionary vibes from him.

"The guy really knows how to make a guy want to do better..."The ghost boy thought, watching Superman taking the call to someone whom he assumed was a girlfriend or co-worker, given how his expressions changed as he spoke to them on the phone.

After a few minutes, Superman sighed before agreeing to the demands of the woman calling him "Smallville" and demanding that he show up.

"The things I do for that woman..."He thought before hanging up.

He knew that Lois was impatient and would go off on her own to find a story, not caring about any anger she may face on the job. Not wanting to make Lois Lane wait any longer for Clark Kent, especially since he knew how'd she get suspicious whenever he's almost late, the man of steel had to oblige.

He then turned to the teens, who were curious about what that was about.

"What's wrong?..."Danny asked, seeing the unamused look on Superman's face.

"That was... a business call. I have urgent matter that I need to attend too right now. So I'll be leaving Supergirl in charge while I'm gone..."The man of steel said, but Kara knew the meaning of that.

"I guess Lois is tugging on you on leash today, isn't she Kal? And it's not even lunch yet..."She guessed, amused by this.

"I have to go. Make sure not to cause any trouble and it's not like whatever you're thinking of..."Superman said with a sterner voice, noticing the smirk on the young girl's face.

"I didn't say anything..."His young protégé, still smirking.

However, she knew that it must've been her being impatient. And Lois got really impatient with trying to find news before a deadline.

"Anyway, we have to take the scenic route home and that also means that I'll be escorting our new guest to his temporary room...and maybe grab a bite to eat too..."His protégé said, smiling at the last part.

"I'm with Supergirl..."Danny said.

"Alright, but no funny business..."Superman said, as he gave them both a stern look as the responsible adult of the group.

"Funny business?..."Danny said in a clueless way, while Kara got annoyed at her cousin for treating her like a child.

"Relax Kal, I'll make sure he behaves himself. And FYI, I'm older mentally than physically..."Supergirl said.

"You were frozen in suspended animation, it doesn't count. Just try to keep each other safe while I'm away and do not, under any circumstances, leave the city without my permission or even the planet. We all need to keep a low profile for the time being..."Superman said.

"Yes, Mom. Do you need us to clean our rooms too?..."Supergirl snarked as Danny resisted the urge to chuckle at that.

Her cousin sent her a disapproving look, and the blonde heroine quickly changed her tune. Granted, she hid a smile.

"No worries, Kal-El. Just go and bring home the bacon. We'll be fine, I won't let Danny out of my sight for even a minute..."She said as she even crossed her heart with her index finger.

"That's...partially what worries me..."He thought, worried as to how literal Kara meant from that promise she just made.

Danny, on the other hand, had no problem with it. He's actually kind of pleased to hear this to be honest.

"I'm stuck in an alternate universe where nobody knows or hates me...with the exception of that Stargirl for some reason but whatever... and I am being ordered to spend the whole day with a cute blonde girl who I don't have to hide about my ghost powers and doesn't think I'm a freak! Best day ever!..."Danny thought, trying hard not to act too excited about this arrangement.

The man of steel soon left and tried to find a place to "transform" back into Clark Kent, leaving the teenage heroes alone for the time being.

Supergirl then turned to Danny Phantom and beamed a smile in his direction. It was just them now.

"So, ready for that tour?..."She asked, gesturing to the city.

The ghost boy smiled and felt like he was on Cloud 9 right now. It was an experience he could only dream of.

"Lead the way, Girl of Steel..."He answered, didn't even hesitate to follow his "tour guide".

Later

Danny had changed back into his human form right now, and standing on the sidewalk. He waited long enough around the corner, tapping his foot as he waited for the female hero who said that she needed a moment of privacy.

"How much longer?..." Danny asked, checking his watch as he waited for the blonde heroine.

"Done..." Kara went, stepping out.

The ghost boy turned around to face her. He saw that instead of the girl of steel, he saw a girl with brown hair in a pony tail, glasses and rather modest looking clothes, but he could still recognize her voice.

"Super-..."He spoke, but she cut him off.

"Kara..."She said, smiling.

"Kara... why the glasses and the wig?..." Danny asked, staring at her.

"Let's just say the simplest disguise is often the best one..."She said, recalling Kal-El's glasses and resisted the urge to giggle.

"Uh... really? That's a great disguise?..."He said, as he kept looking at her.

Kara giggled.

"You'd be surprised..."She said.

She did find Danny's cluelessness to be funny and nearly hide her small laughs, that lost look on his face rather cute.

"So... let's go?..." Danny asked.

"Lets..."Kara said, ready to start.

As the two "civilians" kept walking and talking, mainly about what they could do during this tour of Metropolis.

"So, what should we do first?..."Danny asked.

"Well, lucky for you, my schedule is free for the whole day and I know all of the best spots to go to. I got plenty of time to kill when I'm not on the clock..."Kara said, smiling as she listed off the places they could go to.

"To put it bluntly, Metropolis has everything..."She said, grinning some more

"Well, it sure sounds like a real time killer of a town..."Danny said, nodding.

As they kept walking, Danny couldn't help but look at her civilian form too.

Her Supergirl look made her a total knock-out, but her civilian look is pretty cute too, especially with the glasses and her disguised brunette ponytail hair kind of gave her a sense of mystery too.

He smile as he looked a little closer to what she was wearing.

She was wearing a bulky black and red jacket and a pair of jeans, all of it to hide her actual figure. She still looked really pretty too

"Nice..."He thought smiling at her.

He was so distracted he almost tripped, managing to save himself before she noticed.

"Smooth move, Fenton..."He thought, mentally scolding himself for getting distracted like that.

"You okay?..."Kara asked, as she turned to face him.

"I'm fine..."He said, trying to save face and act normal around her.

A few minutes later

The two teenagers kept walking and talking, namely about how Metropolis works. However, someone spotted them and recognized one of them.

"Kara?..."Was heard.

The disguised heroine turned around and smiled when she saw who it was.

"Oh, hi Jimmy..."She greeted.

"Hi, it's been a while..."Jimmy said, as he walked over to greet her.

Danny blinked when he saw an older guy with red hair and was wielding a camera too. He appeared to be about 2 or 3 years older than them, and was sending them a friendly smile.

"Oh, I see that that you're with someone..."Jimmy said upon noticing Danny.

"Oh, right. Here, let me introduce you guys to each other..."Kara said, before she began the introductions.

"Danny, this is Jimmy Olson. He's a friend of mine, who works as a photographer for the Daily Planet. He usually helps out with Lois as her cameraman for news reports. He's also Superman's best pal, according to the news at least..."Kara explained.

The two boys then stared at one another and smile as they introduced themselves.

"Nice to meet you, Danny. Any friend of Kara is okay in my book..."Jimmy said as he offered his hand in a friendly shake.

"Thanks. It's nice to meet you too, Jimmy..."Danny said as they shook hands.

"So, boyfriend or something?..."The photographer asked Kara, who looked mildly flustered.

"No. Danny is...a friend of the family and he's staying with us for the time being. I'm showing him around some of Metropolis and kill time before he goes home..."Kara said, telling some half-truths.

Her red-haired friend heard this and turned to the other boy, still with that friendly smile on his.

"Oh. Well, I hope you like Metropolis. I can personally and confidently say that there no other place on earth like our city..."Jimmy said, smiling.

"Yeah, never seen anything like it..."Danny said, not hiding that part of the truth.

Kara smiled but raised a brow as she noticed something.

"Huh? Weird, but you guys kind of sound alike..."She commented.

Both boys blinked and stared at one another in complete confusion over what she just said.

"Really? I don't hear it..."Danny said, not sure about the comparison between his and Jimmy's voices.

Jimmy raised a brow and then began to notice the similarities.

"Actually, I think I do hear it now. It's like my voice with a higher pitch..."The red haired guy said, finally hearing it. "She's right, we actually kinda do sound alike..."He admitted.

"You think so?..."The dark haired boy asked, not hearing it.

"Yeah, almost like an echo but without repeating what I've just said. You sound like me..."Jimmy said, his words starting to sound familiar to Danny.

"Huh? Ya know what...I think that I'm starting to hear it to..."Danny admitted, realizing that they do indeed sound similar.

"Weird, it's like we have the same guy behind the mic using two similar voices..."He commented.

"Well, there's a lot people in the world and some voices are bound to sound the same as others, I guess this is one of those times..."Jimmy said with a shrug, still finding it strange but not an issue.

"I guess so..." Danny answered, figuring it must be a coincidence.

"Anyway, I gotta go. Lois just caught wind of a juicy new scoop and she needs photographer ready to take the pictures..."The redhead said as he showed of his camera.

"I'll right. See ya, Jimmy..."Kara said, waving goodbye to her friend.

"See ya, Kara. Talk later, and it was nice meeting you Danny..."Jimmy said, waving at them.

"Likewise, best of luck..."Danny said, waving goodbye.

Jimmy soon left, leaving the teens alone. Now they were back to the tour.

"So, what do you wanna know? I know this great pizza place a few blocks from here..."Kara said, feeling peckish right now.

"That sounds great..."Danny said, feeling hungry after that long trip back to Earth.

All he could do was hope he wasn't allergic or anything to the pizza of this world, but he figured that he was safe since the food from the Watch Tower was okay to him.

Later

Danny and Kara arrived to the pizza place and the disguised alien girl ordered a large pepperoni pizza pie to start with.

"Bon Appetit, Danny..."Kara said, as she took a slice.

"Now this I'm glad to see. I guess pizza will always exist no matter what universe you're in..."Danny said, taking one as well.

"Thank goodness for that..."Kara said, before taking a bite.

As the ghost boy took a bite, he noticed the sly look he was getting from the girl across. Pulling away with a string of cheese in his mouth would do that, but he gulped the bite with a blush.

"There's gotta be a way to talk to her without making a fool of myself…"He thought, daring his eyes away.

Kara, however, knew he was admiring her whenever he thought she wasn't looking. If she were honest, she found his interest rather charming in a certain way.

However, she didn't comment on it or tried to make anything happen. She just kept eating.

A couple of slices of pizza later

As Danny and Kara ate their pizzas, the ghost boy was trying to think of something that he could bring up, so he tried to strike up the conversation between them...but he was getting a little weak kneed around her.

"I fought hundreds of ghosts back home, beat up a giant robot as soon as I get to this new Earth, got to travel through space, spent the night in a totally awesome spacecraft that's filled with tons of superheroes, fought off a drunken alien bounty hunter with practically a legion of super heroes and will have more fights ahead of me...And yet, I STILL get nervous and tongue tied around a pretty girl, even when she knows both halves of me?!..."He thought, sending a shy look at the disguised heroine.

"I take it you want seconds..."Kara said, looking down at the pizza.

The ghost boy then gulped, as it didn't it didn't fully hit him until he looks down and realizes that he just finished the rest of his pizza in nervousness.

He nodded, going for the last slice as his mouth was stuffed to avoid replying, but that could not stop his smile.

"Still, she's not like most girls at home. Most of them back home probably wouldn't even give me the time of day, and yet I am talking to one who can fly, shoot lasers from her eyes and throw a bus if she feels like it...Of course, that isn't a bad thing..."He thought, admiring the girl.

One silver lining to this new arrangement, was that Danny at least had one friend to keep him company and Kara was certainly someone he wouldn't complain about. Despite the situation that they were in, he decided to take it easy, since he had time and help coming from the Justice League.

He wasn't given a clear answer, but at least they were helping. He still wanted to get home ASAP, but he also knew that his best bet is to rely on their help.

"Well, freaking out isn't gonna help anything and Superman did promise that Fate guy will help when he gets back. I may as well make myself at home here and take in the sights..."He thought, trying to be optimistic.

His eyes then landed on Kara, who was still eating her pizza. Every bit she took was causing the cheese on said pizza to stretch with almost every bite.

"Talk about a cheesy moment..."He said, pointing at the trail.

"Yeah, but who could resist it?..."Kara said, leaning in with narrow eyes.

He felt a little warm feeling in his heart, which was beating fast. It happened whenever he looked into her shining blue eyes.

"I never said it was a bad thing..."He stammered a bit, face turning red.

Kara laughed playfully but it was clear that she wasn't making fun of him.

"I was just teasing, Danny. Relax..."She said in an easy going sort of way.

It made Danny ease up a bit. He couldn't explain it, but he didn't feel any judgement or tension from this girl that he usually felt around his peers back home, with the exception of his friends and Valerie.

"Maybe staying in this universe won't be so bad. In fact, I think I might even wanna stick around for a while. At least until we get a definite answer of how to get me home..."He thought, before he continued eating his own pizza.

Later

After they finished their pizza and sodas, Danny and Kara tidy themselves up and began to discuss his visit.

"So, what you think of your first pizza in this universe?..."Kara asked, wondering how different pizza is in their different Earths.

"Not bad, it actually tasted a lot like pizza on my Earth, just more... complex, I guess..."Danny said, as he threw his trash in a nearby trash can.

"Complex?..."Kara asked, wondering what that meant.

"Not sure how else to say it...it was like...more detailed? It's hard to explain..."He said, not sure how to say it.

"Okay, if you say so..."Kara said.

The two teens then walked out of the Pizza shop and headed towards their next destination. They passed by a game store, a book store, and an arcade and spent some time there, much to the ghost boys enjoyment.

After that, they tried to figure out where to go next.

"So, what's next?..."Danny asked.

"Well, Metropolis has plenty to offer, not just Superman and me. We can go to Metropolis Park, Metropolis Bay, S.T.A.R. Lab's new branch, the Metropolis art museum. There is Lexcorp...but I don't recommend that spot though..."Kara suggested.

Before Danny could ask what she meant by that, they suddenly heard a loud gunfire noise and people were screaming and running for their lives. The heroes heard this and were briefly separated by people.

"Oh, don't tell me..."Danny said, as he could guess what was happening now.

Kara heard what sounded like threats, frowning at the idea of people in danger.

"Looks like we gotta put this tour on hold..."She said seriously, while Danny nodded.

He soon ran to a nearby alley and checked to make that no one, except Supergirl, could see him.

"I'm going ghost!..."He said as he changed forms.

He then flew out of the alley and ready to help when he saw that Kara has already changed into her heroic persona.

"What took you?..."She asked as she playfully whistles and pretended to check on her nails despite wearing gloves.

Danny blinked.

"How did you change so fast?..."He asked.

"Fight crime first, questions later..."Supergirl said, pointing ahead to the trouble.

"Oh, right..."Danny nodded.

"Come on, let's take care of these creeps..."She said, ready to kick some butt.

The two heroes soon took off to deal with whoever was causing trouble. They saw a group of men, about 5 of them and they had guns and were currently committing a robbery and holding some hostages at some jewlery shop.

"Who are they?..." Danny asked, while his blonde friend sighed.

"At first I thought it was Intergang, but they just look like garden variety robbers..." Supergirl answered, looking irritated right now.

"How do we do this?..."Danny asked, since she's more experienced with fighting crime in this city.

"Let me get their attention..."She said, as she cracked her knuckles, before she fles closer to the shop.

"Alright, nobody try and act like a hero and we can all home BULLET FREE!.."One of the crooks said as he held his gun in warning, before he and his partners stopped filling their empty bags with money and jewlery from the cowering clerk while the customers held their arms up in fear.

They took the loot and held their guns as they made their way to the door, in order to go outside to reach their getaway car.

However, that is when they all heard someone stepped in.

"Then it's too bad that just showed up..."Supergirl said, as she stood against the robbers.

The crooks, who were clearly new to town and thought of themselves the newest big shots in Metropolis, saw her and didn't think much about it.

"Hey there, sweetheart. Why not step aside? I'd hate to hurt a pretty face..."One of the crooks said, as he gestured with his gun for Supergirl to join the rest of the hostages.

Supergirl frowned.

"This guy is clearly are new here...and an idiot if he don't even know who I am!..."She thought, before she crossed her arms in an unimpressed manner.

"Don't sorry, I wouldn't hate to hurt your not-so-pretty face..."Supergirl said, not seeing any of these amateurs as a threat in the least.

"Shame... I bet you'd be sweet to go out with a few years later..."The guy said, while another crook recognized her and panicked.

"Uh... what are you doing? That's Supergirl!..."The other guy shouted, looking horrified.

"So?..." The younger robber went as he fired.

Danny was worried, but he saw that the bullet bounced off Supergirl liked it was nothing. The ghost boy blinked.

"Now I know why they call her "the girl of steel"..."He thought, impressed while the crook who shot her looked stunned.

He tried to fire again, but received the same results. The blonde heroine was getting annoyed.

"Oh please...did you crooks really forget why everyone in Metropolis calls me the Girl of Steel?..."Supergirl said, rolling her eyes as the bullet barely tickled at all.

"Uh... oh no!..."The guy said, as his gun ran out of bullets.

The blonde heroine floated in front of them and smirked.

"Now, why don't you guys just peacefully surrender, so this doesn't have to end painfully?..."She said, as her once gentle smile, now looked very menacing to the would-be criminals.

The crooks just froze in place, as they all felt a really cold chill run up their spines.

They were about to look for an escape, only for their feet to be unable to leave the floor. Looking down, they saw that they were frozen from the ankles down.

"WHAT THE HECK?! Since when can you FREEZE people?!..."One of the guys, the one who actually recognized Supergirl, exclaimed in shock.

"Actually, that's my doing..."Was heard.

The petty crooks saw Danny and the leader scoffed, despite the situation that they were in.

"Who the heck are you suppose to be, weirdo?..."He asked.

"The name is Danny Phantom..."Danny declared.

"Never heard of ya..."He said, struggling to free his feet from the ice.

"Well, let's just say that I'm new to town..."Danny said with arms crossed, smirking.

"And you're about to leave in pieces!..."The gang leader shouted, as he managed to break his feet free from the ice.

Danny sighed.

"I guess that's what I get for going easy on them..."He muttered, while another of the now freed gangsters aimed his gun at him.

"Say good night, punk!..."He said, trying to sound like some crook in a movie.

"Oh, please..."Danny muttered, getting annoyed.

He wanted to go easy on them, since they were only just human...even if they are thugs who stupidly picked a fight with people with powers.

"Eat this!..."The guy shouted as he fired at him, but Danny quickly became invisible and intangible, making the criminals freak out.

"Where'd he go?!..."One of the mooks said, freaking out.

"What do you mean where? I'm standing right beside you..."Danny's voice was heard, but he was still invisible.

This freaked the crooks out and made them startled enough to almost break free.

"Come out, Freak!..."The gang leader said in anger but was met with pain as the ghost boy smacked him upside the head and pull his pants down.

The guy yelped in horror and humiliation as his cohorts were either laughing or looked shocked. The guy tried to salvage his dignity but he ended up getting pushed into his buddies by an invisible force, bewildering them even more.

Supergirl looked amused by this and even giggled a little at Danny's antics.

"I gotta give him credit, at least he knows how to lighten the mood..."She thought, as she watched her invisible friend continued to make fools out of these morons.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!..."One of them shouted.

"Over here!..."Danny's voice was heard to his right and he fired there but still didn't see anything.

"Now, I'm over here!..."The invisible voice said, now on the guys right and he and the other's kept firing but it had no effect due to Danny being both invisible and intangible.

"Missed me!..."The invisible Danny said, now in front of them and they fired once more.

"Missed me again!..."Danny said in a teasing way as he was now two feet behind them, making the thugs freak out and fire like crazy at that spot.

His antics were causing them to empty their guns by shooting at the ground, harming no one. Eventually, their bullets ran out and they were now without any means of protection...not that the guns would have helped out much either way.

It was then that Danny became visible again, shocking them.

"Geez, crooks in this city are even dumber than the ones back home..."He said, looking unimpressed.

"H-How'd you do that?!..."The gang leader said, his voice trembling.

"Not telling..."Danny said, still smirking as his blonde friend decided to finish this.

"Maybe don't waste your bullets on a target that you can't hit..."Supergirl said, inching closer as she reminded them of her presence.

Danny smirked at how spunky the blonde heroine is, while the criminals began to realize how much of a mistake they made in picking a fight with them.

"I don't suppose we're let off with a warning, are we?..."He asked, voice cracking a bit out of nervousness.

"Nope..."Supergirl said as she cracked her knuckles.

"Now, there are two ways this will end. We beat you guys up until the cops show up, or you guys can surrender and turn yourselves in, and we can all call it a day? Which will it be?..."She said, knowing that the end result would be the same to her.

The criminals soon surrendered, knowing that they were WAY outmatched here.

"Good choice..."Supergirl said, while Danny grinned.

After that

The cops soon arrived to take them away, some of the police even thanked the young heroine and hero for all of their help.

"Thanks for the help, Supergirl. And…Ghost guy?…nah…how about you let us know what you're called later? We gotta take these guys downtown..."The cop said, as he and his fellow cops pushed the criminals into the squad cars.

Danny groaned with a roll of his eyes. His contempt was caught by none except the nearby girl of steel, who waited until the officers left to talk.

"Something wrong?…"Supergirl asked.

"Even in another universe, I need a publicist…"Danny retorted.

"Well, here comes some free publicity…"The girl pointed to a crowd that was running over.

News reporters, photographers and fans with camera's soon appeared and practically swarmed around the two teenage heroes. Pestering with questions and flashes, they aimed their sights at the new ghost-themed super hero.

"Uh... hi?..."He waved nervously, as many of them took pictures of him and asked lots of questions.

"Who are you? You are that new hero that aided the Justice League in defeating Atomic Skull, the one who we've ever seen before. Where are you from and what should we be calling you? Are the Justice League assembling more young heroes to their roster?..."The reporter asked, as he and the others fired question after question to the ghost boy.

Danny, not knowing how to answer some of the first few questions, but didn't want to make the League look bad because of him and also not wanting another "Inviso-Bill" incident, so he decided to clear it up.

"My name is Phantom, Danny Phantom..."Danny said, trying his best to sound and look as confident as he could be.

"Isn't that name kind of uninspired? Using your own first name and a word that shares a syllable?..."One of the reporter's criticized, while the others quickly wrote down his name.

Danny scowled that, before he could complain, more of these reporters asked even more questions.

"Where do you come from? Are you from space? Are you royalty like a few of the League's members? Are you really a Phantom? If you're a ghost, does that mean you're a dead superhero from the past who came back to achieve your unfinished business?!..."Was being heard, as they all began to crowd him.

Seeing that the ghost boy was getting overwhelmed by them, the girl of steel decided to rescue him from the sea of news-starving reporters.

"Sorry, but we got places to be and more people to help. So, bye!..."Supergirl said, before grabbing Danny's arm and pull him up into the air, away from the reporters.

"Wait, what about the rumors of the Justice League starting up a new League for younger heroes? Are you one of the League member's new sidekicks? What is your relationship with Supergirl? Are you in a relationship with any of the other young Justice League members?!..."More reporters asked.

"No comment..."Danny said, wanting this to be over with.

He and Supergirl soon flew away, mostly to get away from them and go back to their tour.

A few moments later

"Man, reporters are just as news and gossip hungry in this universe too..."Danny said, as they kept flying.

"It is what it is. We can't control what the news says or how the people think about us. They all want a good story and superheroes are a hot topic here. You've just got to endure it as best as you can..."Supergirl said, knowing full well how the news see superheroes like her and Kal-el.

"You seem to have some experience dealing with reporters and gossip hounds. How do you handle them so well?..."Danny asked, curious.

"You get used to it. It also helps to have friends and connections that help make sure that they report nothing but the truth..."Supergirl said, with a grin on her face

As they kept flying, the ghost boy kept staring at her and he recalled everything he has seen her do...from fighting off those robots to intimidating those thugs like it was nothing.

"Wow…"Danny stared dumbfounded as he saw Supergirl with the wind in her hair.

He never had seen a girl put that much raw energy into her battled and he almost started drooling right now.

"Awesome..."He whispered, while the girl of steel heard this and smirked.

Not only was he clearly attracted to her, her prowess didn't deter it one bit. If anything, it just made him even MORE impressed with her.

"Really wish that there were some girls like her back home..."He thought, while his friend turned to him with a coy grin.

"Like what you see?…"Supergirl teased with a hand in her hip.

Danny realized that he must have been talking out loud and blushed.

"I...uh...um..."Danny stammered, his weak-kneed reaction acting up.

Supergirl heard this and giggled, amused.

"I don't mind..."The girl of steel said, while she smiled with a wink.

Danny then turned away, while the blonde heroine found his flustered behavior adorable.

"He is pretty cute when he gets tongue tied like that.…"She thought, before she recalled the reality of the situation and realized she can't playfully flirt with him.

"But he's only a visitor. Its not like anything serious can come out from this…"She reminded herself, seeing as he's going to need to go home soon.

Though she pouted on the inside, a happy front was put up as the two shared an eye locking gaze. However, she decided to just talk about the crime they foiled and kept the topic of conversation platonic.

"Glad that's done..."She said, trying to sound casual.

"Y-yeah..."Danny said, rubbing the back of head.

There was a calming silence between them as the floating above the clouds.

Danny still felt a fluttering feeling in his chest as he looked at the alien girl with a mixture of longing and frustration.

"Why couldn't I meet someone like her on my world? Why did I have to go to some other plane of existence to meet someone like this?..."He thought, before sighing.

The two kept flying through the skies until they found a decent hiding spot in an alley, they then changed back to their civilian forms and continued their tour of the famous city.

All the while, Danny tried to enjoy spending time with this beautiful, amazing girl...whom he may or may not ever see again.

1) I'd say Supergirl.

2) They are both teenagers living double lives, use their powers to save the day and both deep down wish to have a place where they truly belong.

Danifan3000: I see, thanks for letting me know.

:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
