In the beginning, she wanted to tell them it was all lies. She wasn't here to get a man. Every little whispered lie struck her hard. She wasn't here to make a fool out of herself. She could pick out tidbits of conversations about her. The Loner. The Lady. The Fake. Every lie had found its way into her heart and it was going to stay there. In the beginning, she wanted to tell them that she was true. Every coming day, she felt more and more like the lies that were told about her, like they were being fit to her personality, but somehow, she stayed strong. She remembered each and every lie, but they didn't hurt her like that did in the beginning. Maybe she was becoming immune to their harsh and fake words. Then one day, they stopped. No more lies, like in the beginning. Perhaps she was being accepted.
